Kazakh is in the middle of a long transition from Cyrillic to a Latin alphabet, and the Latin standard itself has been revised more than once. Written Kazakh from different years does not agree with itself. SozAI writes Cyrillic, which is still the form most documents, search engines and readers expect today.
In Almaty and Astana a single sentence can start in Kazakh and finish in Russian, and technical and administrative vocabulary is very often Russian. Systems that force one language either mistranscribe the Russian or drop it. Keeping both in one transcript, in order, is what makes the record match what was actually said.
Kazakh has roughly thirteen million speakers, orders of magnitude fewer than Russian or English, so there is far less public audio to learn from. In practice that shows up as higher sensitivity to microphone quality and background noise: a Kazakh recording made on a laptop mic will need more correction than an English one made the same way.
Like Turkish, Kazakh stacks suffixes onto roots and harmonises their vowels to the root. One written word can carry a full clause, and an error deep inside a suffix chain is easy to read past. Word-level timestamps are the practical fix — jump to the second, correct once.

Cyrillic. Although Kazakh is transitioning to a Latin alphabet, Cyrillic remains the form most documents, keyboards and search engines expect today, and the Latin standard has been revised more than once. Russian and English fragments inside a Kazakh sentence keep their own script.
They stay in a single transcript, with each fragment written in the language it was spoken in and in the order it was said. This is the normal case for business and government recordings in Kazakhstan, and splitting the file by language would make the record unusable.
Accuracy is good on clear speech with a decent microphone and falls off faster than it would for English on noisy or distant audio, because there is far less public Kazakh training data. If Kazakh recordings matter to you, an external microphone is the single change that helps most.
