All the Right and Wrong Teachings on the Gospel (Part 6) | Dr. Gene Kim

Dr. Gene Kim explores right and wrong gospel teachings, distinguishing four gospels and clarifying salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

Key Takeaways

  • Salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, not by works.
  • There are multiple gospels with different contexts and audiences, each with distinct salvations.
  • Paul's gospel uniquely unites Jews and Gentiles and reveals new truths about grace.
  • The millennial kingdom is a future event, not a present reality to be politically established.
  • False teachings and political compromises can distort the true gospel and kingdom timeline.

What the video covers

  • The gospel centers on the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ with no works involved for salvation.
  • Paul's gospel is distinct and emphasizes faith alone, uniting Jews and Gentiles in the church.
  • There are four different gospels: Paul's gospel, the gospel of the kingdom, the everlasting gospel, and the gospel of the grace of God.
  • The gospel of the kingdom pertains to Jews anticipating the Messiah's earthly reign during the millennium.
  • The everlasting gospel relates to the tribulation period and warns against worshiping the Antichrist or taking the mark of the beast.
  • The gospel of the grace of God is similar to Paul's gospel but was clarified and expanded by Paul, causing controversy among Jewish believers.
  • Current attempts to establish a Christian kingdom on earth are premature and misplaced, as the true kingdom will be established by Christ in the future millennium.
  • The present era is under Satan's domain, soon to be replaced by the Antichrist's kingdom before Christ's millennial reign.
  • Dispensationalism teaches these distinctions and deeper doctrines often overlooked by many churches.
  • Understanding these distinctions is crucial for grasping advanced gospel teachings and avoiding false doctrines.

All right. So, we're talking about all the right and wrong teachings regarding the gospel. Now, we're going through basically all the way from the very beginning all the way to the advanced teachings on the gospel. So, you've learned from the basics of the gospel what it is. And for our case, it's the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. And there are no works involved.
00:18
Speaker A
And that it's a conglomeration of Jews and Gentiles inside the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the church. Now, this gospel we call Paul's gospel. If we add absolutely any other work to it, like you have to stop sinning to prove that you're really a saved Christian, or if you're still messing around with that particular sin, "Oh, you're still drinking? What? You're fornicating?" then you must never have been saved. I taught you that is absolutely wrong.
00:30
Speaker A
They are giving you a wrong gospel. I've given you verses to prove that. I've also showed you once saved always saved.
00:49
Speaker A
The gospel is simply faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you're making it dependent on any action from your part, if your action determines your salvation, right? The good things you've done, the bad things you've done, then you completely annihilated the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. Paul's gospel, we called it. And why do we call it Paul's gospel?
01:03
Speaker A
Because there are different gospels. So, I have shown you we kept gradually increasing deeper doctrine. A lot of churches don't teach that. There are a good number of churches that are dispensational, but they know very little basics. If they studied the earliest teachers of dispensationalism, which they should know about, I'm pretty sure the pastors around these areas who are into pre-tribulation rapture, they ought to know these guys. If they don't, that shows how very shallow their knowledge of the Bible is. But if they knew about C.I. Scofield, if they knew about Clarence Larkin, they would have known that there are different gospels.
01:11
Speaker A
They taught about it. They talked about four different gospels. In these four different gospels, there are Paul's gospel, the gospel of the grace of God, the gospel of the kingdom, and then also the everlasting gospel.
01:29
Speaker A
Bible believers who keep studying dispensationalism go deeper into these four gospels. And we realize when these are four different gospels, they have four different ways of salvation as well. That's going to be pretty much common sense because when you hear the word gospel, we're thinking about salvation anyway, right? So when you say four different ones, then as you study deeper, you're going to find out four different salvations. And then I explain to you what those four gospels are. And then Paul's gospel, obviously ours. We know that one. But then there's the gospel of the kingdom.
01:38
Speaker A
And the gospel of the kingdom is something for Jews anticipating their Messiah. That's why the Sermon on the Mount, which Jesus constantly talks about the kingdom, it sounds like a different plan of salvation or you go to hell if you commit certain sins. But that's concerning Messiah's kingdom on the earth when he sets it up because obviously in his kingdom there should be no sin. People got to follow his laws, his constitution. Otherwise, the penalty is their soul during that time. And that happens when Jesus Christ sets up his kingdom on the earth sometime in the future. Some of you may have heard of that before. That's called the millennium, a thousand years. Adolf Hitler tried to do that himself. That's why he called it the Third Reich.
01:58
Speaker A
All right. Infamous dictators, cult leaders, satanic, satanically minded people, they try to do that themselves, build up their kingdom, their millennium. Unfortunately, Christian churches are teaching that, building God's kingdom on the earth here. You hear that quite often.
02:13
Speaker A
Some of them get into amillennialism where they think the millennial kingdom's ongoing now, but that's why they heavily involve themselves into politics, into pushing Christian stuff into governments. And there's nothing wrong with that obviously, but the problem is this is that when they keep doing that, they're putting it in a wrong timeline. Christ's perfect kingdom is going to be in the millennium, literally millennium in the future, not now. What is this era? The Antichrist kingdom.
02:24
Speaker A
It will become the Antichrist kingdom. You won't make it a Christian kingdom. All right? So that's why you have to be careful with that because Christian politicians, they did make compromises with anybody who's Catholic or who's a conservative into wrong doctrine. All right? You have to be careful of that. Freemasons are everywhere, too. I don't know if people knew about that. So that's why you can't trust the political setup of this world. Obviously, you can't bring a Christian kingdom now on this earth. It doesn't make sense. It's Satan's domain, Satan's territory. It makes more sense. Right now, we're in Satan's physical kingdom. Then the Antichrist will set up his satanic kingdom. And then Jesus Christ will knock off the Antichrist and set up his own kingdom.
02:39
Speaker A
All right. So, gospel of the kingdom. Now, I'm reviewing all this that way nobody gets lost because I'm teaching the most advanced part today.
02:57
Speaker A
Okay? So remember those of you who were from beginning to end, all right, in this teaching or you skipped some of these parts, remember this. Make sure you have the notes. Make sure that you caught up in everything because if you don't, you're not going to understand this advanced part.
03:10
Speaker A
Okay? Now, Gospel of the Kingdom, that's second, right? The third one is the everlasting gospel. What is that? That's in the tribulation.
03:25
Speaker A
And then the angel comes down from heaven, tells them to fear God and worship him. Why? Because everybody is fearing the Antichrist, new world order government. They fear for their lives.
03:41
Speaker A
That's why they take the mark of the beast and worship the Antichrist. So the angel tells them, "No, you better fear God and worship him. If anyone receives the mark of the beast, then he will be damned forever." So that's the everlasting gospel. Obviously, that has nothing to do with Christians today.
03:55
Speaker A
All right. We see precursors to the mark of the beast, no doubt. But it's not officially the mark of the beast. If you think 2020, this one was the mark of the beast, you don't know how scary that mark of the beast is. This is little kid stuff.
04:12
Speaker A
All right. This is just little stuff. They're building something. These are all precursors building to the official one. Okay. Now, anyway, that was a side note. Returning back to the main point, the everlasting gospel, that just makes sense then in the tribulation.
04:24
Speaker A
Now the fourth one is the gospel of the grace of God. What is that? The gospel of the grace of God. It is depending on the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ when he died, buried, and resurrected. And that is our salvation. Now you might go, wait a minute pastor, the gospel of the grace of God, that sounds like Paul's gospel. So here you're talking about the fourth one, gospel of the grace of God. That sounds like Paul's gospel. But I told you the difference in Paul's gospel. It becomes a whole another level of the gospel of the grace of God. He clarifies it to them that it's death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus alone. Absolutely no works involved. And new information, Gentiles and Jews come together. Oh boy, the Jewish believers had a hard time swallowing that. That was so hard for them.
04:40
Speaker A
Yeah. They just thought simply the grace of God and that Jesus died, buried, and resurrected. But when Paul came to the scene and took that gospel of the grace of God on a whole another level, that just stirred up the Jews. It really, really troubled them. They're like, "This is new information." And stuff like that. And Paul even admitted it. He called it my gospel. He admitted this wasn't revealed before. So that's why.
04:55
Speaker A
It will become the antichrist kingdom. You won't make it a Christian kingdom. All right? So that's why you have to be careful with that because Christian politicians, they did make compromises with anybody who's Catholic or who's a conservative
05:10
Speaker A
conservative into wrong doctrine. All right? You have to be careful of that. Freemasons are everywhere, too. I don't know if people knew about that. So that's why you can't trust the political setup of this world. Obviously, you can't bring a Christian kingdom now on
05:25
Speaker A
this earth. It doesn't make sense. It's Satan's domain, Satan's territory. It makes more sense. Right now, we're in Satan's physical kingdom. Then the Antichrist will set up his satanic kingdom. And then Jesus Christ will knock off the Antichrist and set up his
05:39
Speaker A
own kingdom. All right. So, gospel of the kingdom. Now, I'm reviewing all this that way nobody gets lost because I'm teaching the most advanced part today.
05:48
Speaker A
Okay? So remember those of you who were from beginning to end, all right, in this teaching or you skipped some of these parts, remember this. Make sure you have the notes. Make sure that you caught up in everything cuz if you
06:02
Speaker A
don't, you're not going to understand this advanced part. Okay? Now, Gospel of the Kingdom, that's second, right? The third one is uh the go everlasting gospel. What is that? that's in the tribulation.
06:16
Speaker A
And then the angel comes down from heaven, tells them to fear God and worship him. Why? Because everybody is fearing the antichrist, new world order government. They fear for their lives.
06:28
Speaker A
That's why they take the mark of the beast and worship the antichrist. So the angel tells them, "No, you better fear God and worship him. If anyone receives the mark of the beast, then he will be damned forever." So that's the
06:40
Speaker A
everlasting gospel. Obviously that has that that's not Christian has nothing to do with Christians today.
06:46
Speaker A
All right. We see precursors to the mark of the beast. No doubt. But it's not officially the mark of the beast. If you think 2020 this one was the mark of the beast. You don't know how scary that
06:59
Speaker A
mark of the beast is. This is little kid stuff. All right. This is just little stuff.
07:04
Speaker A
They're building something. These are all precursors building to the official one. Okay. Now anyway that was a side note. Uh returning back to the main point the everlasting gospel that just makes sense then in the tribulation.
07:18
Speaker A
Now the fourth one is the gospel of the grace of God. What is that? The gospel of the grace of God. It is depending on the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ when he died, buried and resurrected. And
07:31
Speaker A
that is our salvation. Now you might go wait a minute pastor the gospel of the grace of God. That sounds like Paul's gospel. So here you're talking about the fourth one, gospel of the grace of God. That sounds
07:42
Speaker A
like Paul's gospel. But I told you the difference in Paul's gospel. It becomes a whole another level of the gospel of the grace of God. He clarifies it to them that it's death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus alone.
07:58
Speaker A
Absolutely no works involved. And new information, Gentiles and Jews come together. Oh boy, the Jewish believers had a hard time swallowing that. That was so hard for them.
08:11
Speaker A
Yeah. They just thought simply the grace of God and that Jesus died, buried, and resurrected. But when Paul came to the scene and took that gospel of the grace of God on a whole another level, that just stirred up the Jews. It really,
08:25
Speaker A
really troubled them. They're like, "This is new information." And stuff like that. And Paul even admitted it. He called in my gospel. He admitted this wasn't revealed before. So that's why there's a distinction with Paul's gospel and the gospel of the grace of God.
08:41
Speaker A
Amen. Now, what I've done, as you might recall, I put the gospel of the grace of God with Paul's gospel. That way, people who automatically assume they're the same, I don't have to explain the differences. And I put the fourth gospel
08:55
Speaker A
as gospel of armed warfare instead. All right. Now, if you want to put Paul's gospel, gospel of the grace of God, differently, uh, that would be more biblically accurate. I just combined it for simplicity sake. All right? But if
09:09
Speaker A
you want to put the gospel of the grace of God and Paul's gospel separately, then the gospel of armed warfare would be a fifth gospel. Okay? the gospel of armed warfare which is a fifth gospel that bibleelving dispensationalists who
09:25
Speaker A
advance dispensationalism teachings further and study further they know that in Hebrews chapter 3 and 4 that that gospel is not our gospel it's to the Hebrews that's what the title of the book is and it shows by context what the
09:41
Speaker A
old testament Jews did to build their theocracy it's to defend their homeland and get rid of the pagan nations and the other gentile nations who try to take their homeland. And then I showed you this is why it's very eyeopening the
09:58
Speaker A
nation of Israel today, you notice how all the gentile nations are are going against it or trying to divide the land.
10:06
Speaker A
But Israel makes a big deal about their sovereignty. Why is that? That goes all the way back to Old Testament. That's their culture. So there's a reason behind that and rightfully so. That's their homeland and that's God's kingdom.
10:21
Speaker A
Now, are they doing it the right way? No, of course not. Because uh you've seen obviously current events, what they think of Christianity and uh you know, Jesus Christ, very satanic. So what they're doing is they're obviously doing it in wrong
10:37
Speaker A
ways. God's not God's not building up the nation of Israel, giving them their homeland until they reap the consequences of their sin. Until they humble themselves and realize, I need a Messiah. But uh which is very sad. Uh I
10:54
Speaker A
hope this is not discriminatory to say, but it is pretty true is that uh there's no doubt Jews are very smart people. Uh they can be rich people as well. All right. Uh it it's very interesting when you look at percentages and statistics.
11:08
Speaker A
They're a very small group of people yet they survive through centuries and millenniums miraculously and how they're rich, how they have powerful connections, make money, and they're very intelligent people, but that having everything tends to make you prideful.
11:26
Speaker A
See that? So they're going by their own pride obviously right now, but God's going to break them so hard where nations get more antagonistic against them. Then they realize they're nothing without their Messiah. They're nothing without God. So during the tribulation,
11:41
Speaker A
when the tribulation starts, the Antichrist will go against the Jews. All the United Nations will go against the Jews. The Jews will be heavily persecuted. And that's when the they're going to humble themselves and seek after God. So then God's going to set up
11:55
Speaker A
the theocracy, the Israeli kingdom at that time, at the millennium. See that it connects to millennium again. So at that time, the Jews should not compromise to the antirist kingdom.
12:09
Speaker A
They've got to separate themselves from that, maintain their sovereignty, and they've got to build up their national defense. This will be done the right way. Obviously, right now it's not.
12:19
Speaker A
Okay. But, uh, later on they will, but because they've been in a habit of doing this for millennia, right? I'm sure it'll come in handy in the tribulation, obviously, when they do it right this time. Okay. Now, I've told you about
12:34
Speaker A
those five different gospels. We got it all swinging in our heads. And some of you are like, "What in the world? This is whole new." Yeah. I'm so sorry. You got to go to the beginning right of the video teaching. All right.
12:46
Speaker A
Yeah. Now, I've given you tons of verses, further explanations to make it very persuasive and easy to understand.
12:54
Speaker A
Uh, at the beginning of the teaching, I can't do it here, obviously. All right.
12:58
Speaker A
Over here, you're just going to have to take my word for it. But if you want to make sure that I'm right and not wrong, you can't just believe me and look at me like a tree full of owls, right? You
13:10
Speaker A
can't even critique me and judge me and say, "Well, I find that hard to believe." You can't do that like a tree full of owls either. You need to study.
13:19
Speaker A
All right? So, go back to the beginning of the teaching. Study, pay attention, and compare with the Bible. All right?
13:25
Speaker A
Then you'll find out what's true and false. Okay? Now, let's resume. And hopefully, this will be the last part of this series.
13:34
Speaker A
I'm covering a sixth one about the gospel. But technically, biblically, it is not a separate gospel. All right?
13:41
Speaker A
This gospel is interchangeable with these other gospels. All right? But it's what I call the the gospel that's mentioned in Mark 16. All right? So when we go to Mark 16, I've shown you that this gospel Jesus said going into So
14:01
Speaker A
turn over there. Mark chapter 16. Mark chapter 16. Now, if you have a NIV or a ESV or some other modern Bible version, you might be surprised they put that thing in brackets or they cut off the verse, so you won't find it. All
14:16
Speaker A
right? So, sorry about that. But go to Mark chapter 16. Mark chapter 16. When you see uh modern Bible versions putting certain verses in brackets, uh what they're trying to tell you is is that it's doubtful reading. They can't
14:34
Speaker A
bet 100% that's genuine scripture. Yeah. Well, anyway, let's go to Mark chapter 16. That's why we believe in a perfect Bible. We believe we have the perfect words of God. There is a genuine issue when it comes to multiple Bible versions
14:50
Speaker A
because those translators do not believe they have the perfect word of God in their hands. That's pretty serious. All right. Now when we go to Mark 16 because we believe we have a perfect Bible right with perfect words. Mark 16 Jesus said
15:05
Speaker A
in verse 15 15 and he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Now why am I examining this passage? Because this passage is very confusing. I've told you that in Mark 16 this could be referring
15:22
Speaker A
to the gospel of the kingdom. Right? So let's go over here. All right, follow along with me. We're getting deep. All right, it'll still be new. Uh, it'll still be review for those of you who were here in our last study.
15:36
Speaker A
When Jesus told them to preach the gospel to all the world, I said that this is very possible to be the gospel of the kingdom. Now, if you remember the previous teachings and you wrote down the notes on the gospel of the kingdom,
15:53
Speaker A
it was referring to the messianic kingdom that the Jews were anticipating for and that Jesus Christ will set up the millennium. And I've shown you that the next following verses matched up with our previous Bible study about the
16:12
Speaker A
gospel of the kingdom. If you recall the gospel of the kingdom, we saw verses that there were signs and wonders that they had to do water baptism to prepare for the way of the Messiah, which is why John the Baptist did that before Jesus
16:27
Speaker A
came because the Jews were preparing themselves for the messianic kingdom. As you know, they rejected it. So, it's been postponed and they'll have to wait later on for thousands of years.
16:39
Speaker A
And then when we look at Mark 16, it seems to confirm, it seems to match up with that with the gospel of the kingdom. If you look at verse 16, notice, he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that
16:52
Speaker A
believeth not shall be damned. That match with the water baptism. But I've taught you, I've explained, I've shown you how many churches use this verse to prove water baptism for salvation. We do not believe in that.
17:08
Speaker A
This is part of the gospel of the kingdom, not for Christians. All right? You got to rightly divide the gospels.
17:16
Speaker A
Verse 17 and 18. Notice those signs and wonders, right? Signs and wonders. And then there are churches who wrongly apply it to today. And they think that you can do direct you can get direct revelation from God where he speaks to
17:33
Speaker A
you or he shows you an image of himself or you lay your hands on people they get healed or you can speak in tongues and stuff like that. But I've shown you that's the gospel of the kingdom. Why
17:46
Speaker A
the Jews need to see if Jesus is really who he says he is the Messiah. If he's going to prove himself to be the Messiah, he's got to do signs and wonders, right? to prove I am the Messiah. I am God. That's why the
18:01
Speaker A
Antichrist does signs and wonders. Because he's trying to imitate Jesus, trying to show I am Jesus. See, that's scary.
18:10
Speaker A
That's why you have to be very uh you have to be very careful about signs and wonders today. You might say, why?
18:17
Speaker A
Because if we believe precursors are already in play to set up for the Antichrist in our government, how about precursors of doctrine in churches setting up for the Antichrist?
18:31
Speaker A
All right. All right. Good. See that? You got to be careful of that signs and wonders things. When I look at today's signs and wonders, it's definitely I see it more antichrist than Jesus Christ. You might say, why is
18:44
Speaker A
that? Because if you uh you can't just pay attention to an experience in your service. That's too limited. You got to look at worldwide. Do you know those charismatic uh services, they're combining with the Catholics about those visions and they have
19:01
Speaker A
revival meetings together? You ever wondered why? That's why a lot of Christian churches, they don't talk really bad about the Catholic Church, right?
19:10
Speaker A
Especially those Bible translators. Oh yeah. You know why they don't really do it? Especially famous apologists, I don't know if you knew that famous apologists, they're careful to call the Catholic Church a cult or criticize them. They they word it very carefully.
19:25
Speaker A
Do you know why? All those connections. Today's politics, you'll notice that as well. Today's politics, see, they're very cautious of that. So, uh you have to be very careful of that.
19:37
Speaker A
I see this more and more as a one world religion thing. All right? the one world religion thing. Even Muslims are experiencing that too. Even Muslims are experiencing that. This is you got to be cautious of that. The antichrist is
19:52
Speaker A
setting up something. So that's why I'm very uh I'm very skeptical of this. It's not really good. It makes more sense that these uh signs and wonders, they were genuine that happened during uh the time of the gospel of the kingdom. That
20:08
Speaker A
just makes way more sense for the Jews anticipating for their kingdom to see the Messiah. And by the way, if you look at today's signs and wonders, it's definitely not like the time of the gospel of the kingdom. When they get
20:20
Speaker A
healed, they get healed. Like fullfledged healing. You touch cancer, it's gone. When you touch CO, it's gone. Oops.
20:30
Speaker A
Excuse me. What were the charismatic churches doing during CO? I don't get it. If if if they should heal any sickness and disease and Jesus said that, why are the charismatic creatures doing this?
20:47
Speaker A
Huh? Funny, ain't it? And the the sign and wonder is raising up the dead.
20:54
Speaker A
That's huge. That's even bigger. All right. And they can't do little old CO. I didn't have to do this and I lived through CO. If they can't do a little thing like that, they can't raise the dead.
21:10
Speaker A
They can't heal cancer. They can't heal blindness and do these other things. They can't do that. Genuine sign and wonder was a legitimate deal actually during that time.
21:24
Speaker A
Maybe there are some you might say. If there are some, that scares me even more so because if it's of God, it'll be full-fledged and genuine one. But if you got something partial and that's not of God, I wonder what
21:38
Speaker A
spirit's behind that. See, that's why you have to be very cautious. The Antichrist will use these things.
21:44
Speaker A
Remember, you'll use these things to deceive people and set up his religion, his government. So, we have to be cautious of that. It just makes way more sense. You put verse 17 and 18 again to the gospel of the kingdom or the Jews
22:02
Speaker A
were anticipating for their messianic kingdom. Now we understand that with the gospel of the kingdom.
22:10
Speaker A
However, what I was trying to show you before is that a lot of Christian churches use Mark 16 verse 15. Now they won't use 16,1 17 and 18 obviously because that has no application to the Christian obviously but they will quote
22:30
Speaker A
verse 15 to talk about we need to give the gospel to everybody and show them how to get saved. And I've argued to you that is correct.
22:40
Speaker A
But you might go wait pastor we said that's the gospel of the kingdom. So this is not for us. You just said it's not for us. Now you're saying it's for us. So how are you going to explain that
22:50
Speaker A
part? And then I've told you this, the gospel of the kingdom. This is where it gets deep. So pay attention. All right?
22:56
Speaker A
So I've shown you from the gospel of the kingdom. It's not just something that's physical earthly and that is called the kingdom of heaven. I shown you verses on that one.
23:11
Speaker A
God's kingdom also includes spiritual, and that is called the kingdom of God. And I've shown you from this model, Jesus Christ was preaching both both aspects of the kingdom to the Jews. The Jews, you'll notice, they're more receptive toward the physical earthly
23:32
Speaker A
kingdom because that's what they're anticipating. But when Jesus talked about the spiritual, they did not like that. You'll notice when Jesus was preaching to the Jews, how he was aiming for their heart. You notice that for spiritual things more
23:48
Speaker A
than earthly things. Do you know why the Jews prioritize earthly physical more than spiritual? Jesus recognized that.
23:56
Speaker A
That's why he was emphasizing the spiritual. And then he pointed out to them that the kingdom will actually be given to another. And he said these will be given to other nations. The Gentiles will become part of this kingdom whereas
24:19
Speaker A
the Jews, the Bible points out, will be cast out. And then you might go, "Whoa, then does that mean that God is done with the Jews? They will not get their messianic kingdom." This is where people keep making a mistake. All right? So
24:35
Speaker A
that's why you have to rightly divide. It's not just rightly dividing gospels. You got to rightly divide the kingdoms.
24:43
Speaker A
When Jesus was preaching about the kingdom, there were two aspects to this. There was physical earthly aspects and there was a spiritual aspect. Now, I've shown you verses about Paul. So, let let's go over here.
25:03
Speaker A
All right. Y'all still with me? We're getting deep. Okay, we're getting deep. Follow me.
25:11
Speaker A
This kingdom that Jesus preached. I'm going to draw timelines now that way people don't get lost. Okay.
25:22
Speaker A
During this time Jesus was preaching. Okay. But we'll find out that Paul was also preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Paul, wait a minute, pastor. You said that Paul's gospel differed from the gospel of the kingdom. All right. What did I
25:40
Speaker A
explain to you last time? So, what I've shown you is this. Paul mentioned about the kingdom in the sense of the kingdom of God. That's the key.
25:53
Speaker A
Not the kingdom of heaven. Not the kingdom of heaven. Remember, going back to this model here, so people don't get lost.
26:05
Speaker A
This side of the kingdom is known as kingdom of heaven. All right, I'm going to circle this that way people don't get lost.
26:19
Speaker A
This side is kingdom of God. Now, there's going to be verses, don't get me wrong, where Jesus uses these two like they're the same interchangeably.
26:36
Speaker A
But here's the problem. There are also other verses where Jesus makes it where they're different.
26:42
Speaker A
Different. So, what's the explanation to that? Very simple. The simple answer was Jews could get both kingdoms.
26:49
Speaker A
That's why he used them interchangeably. See, heaven and God because Jews were going to get both kingdoms. But then Jesus pointed out the differences as well because he sees that they're they're going to work differently.
27:01
Speaker A
They're going to work differently. It's like saying that Christ is in you, right? But also we say the Holy Ghost is in you.
27:08
Speaker A
That don't mean Christ and the Holy Ghost are the same. They're different. But they're used interchangeably because they're one God.
27:14
Speaker A
See? So you have to realize when you study words in the Bible, you can't automatically just assume one thing.
27:22
Speaker A
When we're talking about God's realm, it gets very deep. It gets deeper than that. There's going to be differences, but something working in unity. So, the unity of God and heaven where they're mentioned together is because Jews were
27:36
Speaker A
going to get both of those kingdoms, but they're different. That don't mean they're the same. They're also different. One is physical earthly that the Jews were anticipating for. But the Jews were also going to get a something spiritual as well because God is a
27:51
Speaker A
spirit. So then when Paul said kingdom of God, there's your answer. Ah then notice right here what Christians are getting.
28:01
Speaker A
Christians are getting this spiritual side of God's kingdom. That's why let me repeat again. We don't believe in building God's kingdom on the earth.
28:12
Speaker A
A lot of churches when they talk about kingdom of God, kingdom of God, it's a spiritual kingdom. That's correct and they're all thinking that. But did you notice how they manifest that, transform that into the physical area? So if they
28:26
Speaker A
get a bigger building, then they say, "See, we just built up God's kingdom larger." You you got to distinguish that. No. All right. Look, God's kingdom will still have a spiritual kingdom when the martyrs had no church buildings and they
28:39
Speaker A
were running for the hills and being persecuted and dying out. All right. God's spiritual kingdom was still ongoing. All right? And increasing. All right? So you have to separate it. That's why Muslims, Catholics, very in infamous during the
28:53
Speaker A
Crusades, killing people to make them a part of their kingdom. They were doing it Old Testament style style. N Christians aren't supposed to do that.
29:02
Speaker A
We receive persecution from the kingdom and government instead. That's what we do. Now, if we're talking about like obviously uh uh uh national defense and then you know right to bear arms and then you know defending your family,
29:17
Speaker A
that's a whole different story obviously. But I'm talking about kingdom building here, right? I'm talking about God's kingdom building. That's a totally separate thing. God's kingdom building, you should never dare make it physical or earthly. Otherwise, you have to kill
29:34
Speaker A
people, do violence on people in the name of Jesus to be a part of his kingdom. All right, that's n o no. The violence that God's going to do, it just makes way more sense that he's doing that sometime in the future, obviously.
29:50
Speaker A
And that's against the antichrist world government and kingdoms. He has to use violence. He have to wipe out those uh satanic armies just through shedding of blood set up his own kingdom. Just makes way more sense that way. Now we can see
30:06
Speaker A
right here the kingdom of God in its spiritual side. That's what Paul was preaching. So when Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel and that's referring to the kingdom." It's perfectly fine because Paul is
30:21
Speaker A
carrying the kingdom of God. But pastor, you said that Paul's gospel is different from the gospel of the kingdom. Correct.
30:32
Speaker A
But you said it's carrying on the gospel of the kingdom. Correct. Yeah. You just confused me, pastor. No, it's like this.
30:42
Speaker A
They're still very different. Why is that? This side is only concentrating the kingdom of God. This one is both kingdoms. Another thing is that Paul's gospel specifically said no works.
30:57
Speaker A
See that he als notice the additions here. All right. Now, this is the similarity, right? So, let's put similarity.
31:06
Speaker A
Here's the similarities here. Okay. The spiritual side again. That's what they share similarly. But notice the addition to this side. All right? No works and then death, burial, resurrection. If you look at the gospel of the kingdom, you don't see any of
31:27
Speaker A
that actually. Not mentioned at all. So he adds death, burial resurrection. He also adds Gentiles and Jews are in this together. Yes.
31:42
Speaker A
If you read the gospel of the kingdom, what Jesus was doing, he intended it to give it to Jews, not Gentiles.
31:50
Speaker A
That was his intention. But because Jews kept rejecting it, Jesus got mad and said, "I'm giving it to Gentiles." See that? So, this is not the same as Paul.
32:00
Speaker A
Paul's case is Gentiles and Jews. We're all in this together. Jesus's intention was it was going to go to Jews. That was his intention. It was solely for the Jews. That's why it makes sense when you read so many accounts of Jesus where he
32:15
Speaker A
said, "Don't go to this gentile nation, Gentile city. Only go to the house of Israel." Uh the Canaanite woman trying to receive the sign and healing from Jesus for his daughter. But Jesus said, "No, I'm only for the Jews." Those signs
32:30
Speaker A
and wonders for the Jews. See, all of that makes sense. All of this makes sense.
32:36
Speaker A
So these are thing Paul. So notice it's still different. They're still different. Yeah. But it's the same in the sense that it's carrying on the spiritual kingdom of God. But if I bring up an example, then it'll clarify a lot more things. This is
32:51
Speaker A
even common sense. If we uh if I uh created a book, I wrote a book. I have a first edition, right? But then I want to add more material or maybe change something. I have a second edition. I
33:06
Speaker A
have a third edition and then let's say I have a fourth edition. Is the fourth edition the exact same thing as the first edition? No, they're they're different books. All right, that's the intention. Why? There are changes and
33:20
Speaker A
additions, right? The fourth one. But does that mean that the fourth edition is not carrying something from the original edition? See that? Of course, it's carrying something from the original edition.
33:36
Speaker A
So that's why it's more accurate to say to call this book not the first edition.
33:42
Speaker A
You have to change the name. It's a fourth edition. That's the more accurate thing. So why do we not call this the gospel of the kingdom? Cuz that's not accurate. There are additions and it there are changes that are different
33:56
Speaker A
from the gospel of the kingdom. That's why it's more accurately called Paul's gospel, not Gospel of the Kingdom. Did that make sense there? All right. So, this is why it's more accurate to call this Paul's gospel. And it makes a lot
34:12
Speaker A
more sense why Paul said, "My gospel has never been preached before." I've shown you verses on that. He clearly said, "No one preached this gospel. This is the first time from yours truly." But when you study it, you're like, "No, there
34:27
Speaker A
were other times it was mentioned before." But what Paul's gospel is all those things. That's what he's pointing out. And it is very true. You didn't hear this from other gospels.
34:38
Speaker A
If you're going to try, you might find an inkling, but you're going to have to find it. It's not something plainly said, plainly revealed.
34:46
Speaker A
So, it just makes a lot more sense that way. Now, let's go to Matthew chapter 8.
34:53
Speaker A
Matthew chapter 8. And then we'll look at verse 12. Matthew chapter 8. And then we'll look at verse 12.
35:04
Speaker A
I cannot teach this in the next session. So I got to wrap it all up here. All right. So we're going to cram it all in.
35:09
Speaker A
Here we go. Matthew chapter 8 and then uh we'll look at verse 10. Matthew 8:10.
35:15
Speaker A
Now look what happened with this kingdom Jesus was preaching. Matthew 8:10. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to them that followed, "Verily, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith." No what?
35:28
Speaker A
Not in Israel. There's something wrong with the nation of Israel. All right. Verse 11. And I say unto you that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, but
35:44
Speaker A
the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and nashing of teeth.
35:51
Speaker A
Did you see that there? See, so this is a verse that people will use to try to prove that God is done with the nation of Israel and that it's for nations around the world. No, no, no. That's not true. Because I've shown
36:05
Speaker A
you verses that God, he has to go back to the nation of Israel. We saw verses on that in the other gospels. So what he's doing is that he's putting them aside temporarily. He's rejecting them on a temporary timeline and then he'll
36:19
Speaker A
go back to the nation of Israel. As we know the the Jews, they rejected the kingdom. So because of that, the Lord Jesus Christ, he decided to give it to the Gentiles.
36:33
Speaker A
That's the reason why the Gentiles were able to partake in God's kingdom in the spiritual sense here. In the spiritual sense. So remember that in the spiritual sense, the spiritual kingdom, we're going to receive all those things, but
36:51
Speaker A
it's not the physical earthly side. If you honestly believe it's the physical earthly side, then I challenge you. Why is it that there are Christians still struggling with poverty? Christians who go through disease and sicknesses? Why are there Christians who don't have a
37:06
Speaker A
government that's successful but has always fallen apart and the antichrist government seems to win? See that? It just makes more sense. All right, this is something that will happen in the future under Jesus Christ directly himself, not from human beings.
37:21
Speaker A
All right, human beings, no matter how good their intention are, even if they're Christians, cannot bring God's kingdom successfully on the earth. Jesus Christ has to do that himself.
37:31
Speaker A
All right. Uh let's go back. Uh we look at Matthew chapter 8. The Jews have uh rejected the kingdom. Now I'm going to show you something interesting in Mark 16. Let's go to Mark chapter 16.
37:44
Speaker A
We understand the gospel of the kingdom now. But I can show you something far easier than this. Okay.
37:53
Speaker A
So in Mark 16, let me repeat again. Mark 16 when Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." I mentioned that there are two possible explanations. All right, two possible ones. When you get really
38:10
Speaker A
deep into doctrine, not everything is going to be finalized, right? Not not everything is finalized. So sometimes you have to look at every possible explanation for truth. So that's possible explanation number one.
38:24
Speaker A
Possible explanation number two is that when Jesus said go into all the world and preach the gospel, he was referring to the gospel of the grace of God.
38:37
Speaker A
So because and I've shown you verses that before Paul from Jesus to the apostles up to Paul, they were all preaching about the grace of God. They did that. Death, burial, and resurrection was mentioned.
38:56
Speaker A
Paul, it was just way more clear, right? That it's that alone. No works. You trust in that. It's not just believing, right? It's that trusting in that alone because Jesus had to do those very actions where to save your soul. Paul
39:13
Speaker A
was Paul had to explain all of that. But the other people, they just talked about die, buried, resurrected, you know, or just believing in Jesus. That's why it makes a lot of sense that before Paul, when the apostles were preaching about
39:27
Speaker A
that, it wasn't as clear as Paul. Yeah. That's why it makes a lot of sense that in Acts 15 after Paul preached his gospel, there was so much confusion in the Jewish Christian churches cuz they're so used to hearing their
39:43
Speaker A
Jewish salvation, those Jewish gospels from before. But and they thought Paul was a heretic.
39:50
Speaker A
Yeah. But then when Paul came together with the apostles, the apostles realized Paul was preaching the same thing we were about death, burial, resurrection, but he's got something new and additional that makes way more sense. So Paul's gospel is correct. That's what
40:06
Speaker A
the apostles decided at Acts 15. We see that. All right. Galatians 2 and Acts 15 are evidence that the apostles uh legitimized and approved of Paul's gospel. All right. Now, so the gospel of the grace of God, that's what Jesus Christ was preaching.
40:27
Speaker A
That's what the apostles were preaching. And then Paul's gospel was way more clear. So we want to go by Paul's gospel instead. That's like basically we could say this is like the third edition, right? And then Paul's was the fourth
40:39
Speaker A
edition. And then the gospel of the kingdom we could say was the first edition. There is no doubt that when you read the book of Acts, you're going to agree with me on this.
40:49
Speaker A
Yes. Yes. They were developing their doctrine. They were developing their book, so to speak, their teachings. Everybody does that with their teachings. And when they do books, all right? Everybody does that. So, this is not far-fetched. It's very common sense. Now, uh gospel of the
41:09
Speaker A
grace of God, that's what Jesus was saying at Mark 16. Then we got a problem. If that is the case then pastor what do we do with Mark 16:16 1718 right that's a problem because this is water baptism for
41:26
Speaker A
salvation and signs and wonders another two explanations with this second one. All right. So, let's go now underneath this one. Two possible explanations.
41:47
Speaker A
The other two possible explanations are as follows. The apostles, when you notice them preaching about death, burial, resurrection or Jesus' grace, you notice that the Jews, they didn't think it was common sense. No works involved. They didn't think it was
42:03
Speaker A
common sense that I trust the death, burial, resurrection alone because those exact mechanisms were taking the substitution of my sins, putting it upon himself. They didn't know all that. All they knew was Jesus died and that was their fault. The Jews crucified their
42:20
Speaker A
Messiah and that he proved him and that he raised himself from the dead. That's all they know about. All right? Maybe they knew a little bit more than that, but it wasn't as clear as Paul. They didn't know. Listen, in Acts 2, they
42:33
Speaker A
didn't know the theology of salvation like you do now. All right? Because it was developing at that time. We know the theology of salvation because of Paul.
42:43
Speaker A
That's why we emphasize so strongly, you got to go to Paul's writings for right Christian teachings. It's just common sense. If it wasn't for Paul, then we'd be lost in a void pretty much. But during that time, they were doing water
42:56
Speaker A
baptism for salvation. There were signs and wonders going on. accompanying this gospel. But remember, this is not Paul's gospel.
43:06
Speaker A
See that? This is not Paul's gospel. Christians are underneath Paul's gospel. And in Paul's gospel, I showed you verses from the beginning teachings that Paul said, I came not to baptize, but to preach the gospel.
43:23
Speaker A
That's pretty big. Then he's insisting water baptism is not required for the salvation gospel. Very different then from Mark 16. Paul said that we walk by faith, not by sight. Faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the word of God.
43:40
Speaker A
Very different from Mark 16 about Jews requiring a sign, something that they see to believe by faith. But Paul insisted, no, believing is salvation, which is only based on the word of God.
43:54
Speaker A
See, very, very different Paul's gospel. So, we can argue that this still works with the gospel of the grace of God.
44:00
Speaker A
Why? Because it's not Paul's gospel. See that? A second one is even easier, believe it or not. You ready?
44:13
Speaker A
You wouldn't believe this. This is so easy. Okay? Cuz if you want to debate with cults, when you do this dispensationalism thing, you get them lost, right? Cuz they don't know dispensationalism.
44:25
Speaker A
So usually when you argue with people, you just want to do something very short, small, and convincing, which is very hard to do nowadays. You don't do that with doctrine. Doctrine takes studying time to develop truth. It's like any scientific theory. You can't
44:39
Speaker A
just make it short and convincing. A scientific theory, it's going to take a lot of experimenting, time, and explanations for people to believe.
44:49
Speaker A
Believe. Okay? But I'll give you the short version. Believe it or not, he never said, it's more eye opening than you think. He never said the gospel was verse 16, 17, and 18. That's right. How do you not know in verse 15, he was
45:07
Speaker A
talking about going into all the world, preach the gospel to every creature. So, in other words, the gospel of the grace of God, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation. Go ahead and preach all of that. And then these
45:20
Speaker A
other things that he's talking about are additional things that they're supposed to do. See that? So then think about it.
45:29
Speaker A
When Jesus ascended into heaven, you think he only talked about the gospel of the grace of God?
45:36
Speaker A
See that he was talking about many different subjects, I'm sure. Right. Yeah. I don't think that when he was on the mount before he ascended into heaven, he just said death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ. Have a nice day. Let me go
45:51
Speaker A
up. I think he was talking about many different things. It's possible that he talked about the gospel of the grace of God, water baptism as a practice, and even salvation at that time. The signs and wonders that will be undergone. He also
46:08
Speaker A
mentioned about the Holy Spirit will come down first at Jerusalem then the other most parts of the earth. And then he mentioned about uh it's not for you to know uh the messianic kingdom will come now but you will know later on. The
46:22
Speaker A
Holy Spirit will show you. He talked about so many different doctrines. Okay? So you don't have to worry about the gospel of the grace of God being co-mingled with 161 17 18. We can see 15 as the gospel of the grace of God. 16
46:38
Speaker A
about water baptism. And yeah, you can include that for salvation if you want to. And then 17 and 18, you can even include that for salvation if you want to or just say it's just generally signs and wonders to prove it. It doesn't
46:51
Speaker A
matter. But the point is is that in verse 15, you don't have to worry about the gospel of the grace of God being mingled with uh anything else.
47:03
Speaker A
You can separate that gospel of the grace of God from 16 and then 17 18 and other verses. All right. All right. So that's the simple explanation to that one. And then uh let's close it here and the choir can start practicing.
47:16
Speaker A
Heavenly father uh I pray that you'll bless uh the musical instruments in their practice. And uh please fill within me the power of your spirit to do your preaching teaching. And I pray that the fellowship and everything we do
47:29
Speaker A
together will be pleasing to thee. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord.
