As you know, the gospel simply means good news. When you hear that phrase, good news, then that obviously means when you read your Bible, there's going to be tons of different good news. Not one.

There's going to be, again, tons of different good news. That's what gospel means. People, when they see gospel, they assume only one.

And when they make that mistake, then they apply a wrong gospel to a wrong group of people. They apply the gospel wrongly to Christians, teaching them that they'll have to, for example, endure to the end to get saved,

get water baptized for salvation. But, you're going as we've discovered from the Bible verses, that is not true. Our gospel is simply the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Well, what kind of rest are they entering in? Keep going backwards, 18. To whom swear he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? Who are they?

Verse 17, backwards. But with whom was he grieved? Ah, now we know. 40 years. Was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?

It's those Jews who wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. They were trying to enter into their promised land, their nation of Israel. They could not enter into that promised land because of their unbelief.
