How to Build Websites with WordPress in 2026 — Transcript

Last week, I was just trodden by, like, sir, we, like, what to do with the 45, uh, you know, what type of websites to deploy and such like that. So I thought, like, okay, let me fill that gap app as well. Okay. So today, what I'm going to do for you is I'm going to show you how you can actually build a website using WordPress. See, still WordPress is widely used all across the globe. Okay.

So you can use WordPress even for landing pages. It is most trustable, like WordPress. Okay. And whenever you're running any ads, Meta ads, uh, you know, for, uh, Facebook integration, WordPress is the one which is very, very good. Okay. So what I thought was, let me share it to you so that based on the customer's, uh, uh, you know, like, uh, uh, you know, proposal or the cost which you're going to, you know, charge them, you can use the tool which you like. Yeah.

now it has reduced to like 40 50 or 60 because of you know AI but people who normally use this uh you know for ads and stuff like that right they still use WordPress okay now if you ask me what is

WordPress WordPress is a content management system okay so what do you mean by content management system it is just like it will have templates you just have to drag and drop and you can build your websites that's it so you just need two

things for this one is domain the other one is the hosting do you know what a domain is come on let's see that what is a domain still few people are like okay simple very good raises the name of The website

hosting is the place where we actually build the website. Okay. So, uh it's you know understand similar to your house.

Now, let's say if you want to build a house, you have a,000 square ft. Okay.

Let's say you're naming the house as uh uh you know, give me some like uh fancy name like uh I have Madu here. So, Madu's house. So, that is the name of your website. So he has 1,200 ft² and he

wants to build a house. Now let's say he's building the house. Can,000 people get inside the house.

Can,000 people stay in that 1,200 ft² house? What do you think guys? Yes, no, no, definitely. Why? Because the space is less. So that is how you need to understand the hosting. So bigger the space, bigger the house.

Bigger the hosting space, bigger the website. That is why you people would normally hear terms like whenever you know a hero's trailer launches on YouTube the YouTube crashed the Twitter crashed when there is like huge traffic normally the bandwidth exceeds and the

website actually crashes okay so that's how you will choose your hosting as well when you go for a WordPress and uh you know hosting normally you can even do it with 58 rupees per month okay so it's like the most affordable one is

WordPress. Okay. And guys, you can build professional websites, not just I'm like uh telling you like you know very uh uh you know uh undynamic ones like dynamic websites you can build. So now just for an example uh this is a corporate

website and you can charge around 10,000 to 25,000 rupees. Okay. So now what you have to do is if you are getting a client or customer always pitch in for the uh like EMI okay your charge is first charge the 5,000 rupees and then

rest on emis so the customer stays with you and you can also do an AMC with them for a restaurant you can charge 15,000 to 20,000 rupees for a personal portfolio site 7,500 to 15,000 rupees and uh for an event 10,000 to 25,000

rupees gym 10,000 to 20,000 rupees if you want to use uh as an e-commerce more than AIdriven if you're a non-coder WordPress is best up to like 1,000 items you can list without any problem at all okay uh once you know like 50,000 one

lakh people come in then you have to develop using merstack or full stack de angular all these comes into picture till even like 5,000 you can use e-commerce uh sorry WordPress yeah see why I'm giving you this figure

is we people are very weak only when we charge them you will explain superbly you will tell them boss awesome we'll do that then they'll ask you how much sir you give me sir you give me whatever you

want sir we'll do it for you so always know the range okay if it's It's a bigger client you can charge up to 25,000. You can say first give me like 50%age remaining on two EMAs also.

Maximum we give three shots. This three shots easily works in India. Clear? Understood? So to build a website you need to buy a hosting and domain. And the reason why I'm doing this to you last week I showed you this right? You

can actually build a website using AI and then you're going to host. A lot of people opted for this 249 plan. Okay.

So when they clicked on it, it gives you an option to build 50 websites but you can have only five manage NodeJS web apps. So there are nearly like 45 websites. Uh you know you have to use WordPress, HTML, CSS and the other

options. So I'm giving you the option for the remaining 45 websites. Clear? Okay. So that you don't waste it.

So 50 websites uh per year it'll come around like 230 rupees only. That's it. You can easily easily make money out of this. Okay. So now let's build a website. I want you guys to build a you know website today.

Um so but you might be thinking oh my god do I have to buy the hosting and domain? No you don't need to. I will show you a way where you can make your laptop as an hosting uh like a local

server. We will build a website on that and then we will move the website to the uh you know to the live uh site. Okay.

So if you're ready guys, we are going to use a software called as local WP.

All you got to do is click on the link and then click on download for free.

Please choose your platform. I'm choosing Windows first name. You can organization type other. You can just click on get it now. Just enter your email whatever you want.

Okay. Then click on get it now. It will start downloading. Do you want to do it now?

installation procedure for you once again. So I click on install update. So I build the website, I take it to them and then I take the I did it for schools uh a couple of other peoples also. Look whenever you know uh I get an

order we do this. I do it along with the students also. Yes, you can use AI on this as well.

I'll teach you how to do that. So let me see. So instead of buying a hosting a domain, what we are doing is we are making our website as an server and we are installing it. Okay.

So this is how the installation will take place. So you can choose anything. Okay? Anyone or only for me.

Guys, lot of people you guys have created really some unique ideas. Try publishing them. Try building them so that you know uh the one two 3 months right you you can use use it as a testing phase for your app as well.

So after we started this uh we have around like 3,000 students who are ready to join our community. So we are creating a separate community for students uh you know so uh so they also you know try to they are like they want to get

into this monthly uh payment options and stuff like that. So we're going to have a separate community for students as well. And right now the most trending thing which we're doing is like we're training for kids. Um we are charging

seventh standard book today a AI book. It has computer vision. It has Python, HTML, CSS and everything. How many of you seen your kids book? Your AI book.

You will be literally shocked. Okay. So, uh teach your kids AI early. Uh because these kids are like you know they have this lot of creativity.

Yesterday when I was training a few kids now three of them gave me idea for a startup and that those ideas you will not get on an elder person and these kids have a imagine their kid is able to

conceive an idea and that kid let's say is in seventh standard now 8 9 10 11 12 by the time they finish come to college they will have a product ready they will have you know and I I don't know a lot

of people here they actually think like what if I have learned this in my seventh Okay. So you know um that is that is something which we need to focus guys just look out the government is going to

completely change the curriculum structure and everything. In future it is going to be only like skill based come learn a skill make money what next?

Come learn a skill make money what next? So apart from that they might teach history but sitting and making them to code from C, Java, Python all those text stuff and these Gen Z kids are like the gen alpha now is it they are like uh not

interested at all and they are not able to write. I don't know how many of you noticed. I was like shocked yesterday after a long time I was training kids but even though they're not able to write the kind of thinking they have the

kind of open-minded they have no it's like oh my god it's like uh if I work with the kids I know in next one year I can have like 10 startups so they have lot of ideas. So sit with them, talk to

people, you can activate AdSense and you can start making money via Google. You can even add Amazon affiliate to your accounts. Okay. So that is blog more of a personal uh details you know information and stuff like that. Second

thing is websites which you build for official purposes. Okay like your flip card uh Amazon uh you know where it is like dynamic more dynamic where there is lot of transactions happen on your site or even like information you know

collection also there and the landing page. What is a landing page? landing page is a one single page scroller.

Whenever you see an ad, you click that and you land on a page to get the product information. Have you seen that?

Now there are a lot of people who sell you courses, right? What they do? So I'm going to do a webinar. I'm going to do a seminar, you know, join my webinar. Then you click the ad, then one page comes

in, right? That is not the website, but the onepage landing page which gives the information about that particular program. Or let's say you're selling oil. one particular page that gives you the information of that oil uh how good

it is, what are the benefits, features. So landing pages when a customer clicks your ad and when he falls on that particular website that is called as a landing page. Clear guys? Understood?

Yeah. Okay. Now so look at this. After you've got this, I want you to do one important thing here.

Do you see this one click admin? I want you to turn it on. Yeah, it becomes admin. The reason is whenever you do that, you don't need to enter the username password again or else you have to keep entering the

username password whenever you loging in the admin and admin stuff. Okay. So now I click this WP admin.

It opens in the browser and then I click on open site. So this is the front end and this is the back end.

Yeah. Whatever changes we make here will appear here. This is like your TV's display. This is your circuit and wires at the back of your TV. Yeah. Now look at this. We need to build a portfolio site for Sugata. Now I'll go to my

dashboard. Now let's understand this. Yeah. Now this is similar to your mobile guys. Now if you want to change the look and feel of your mobile phone, what will you do? Who can answer me that?

What will you do? You go and change the themes, the cover, right? Wallpaper and such like that.

Similarly, I don't like the theme of this. I don't like the color of this.

So, I want to change the look and feel. So, what would I do? And which section should I click here on the left hand side? Who can tell me that?

Which section? appearance. Brilliant. So, and I click on themes. See, it is very easy. Now, there are already three themes here. But this is like a basic versions. I don't want to use this. I want to use a theme which gives us lot

of free templates. So, the most highly recommended website or the theme is Astra. Write it down. Do not miss this.

You can click on Astra. Now see there will be lot of companies like Astral, Atoria, Estaria all those things but for you you just have to look out for this Astra A S T R A and then click

on install. So depending upon your internet speed, your laptop speed, it will take time.

So it's done. I have installed it. Now my job is to activate it. Okay, now let me come to the front end.

See, it still looks looks the same. But I will refresh this. Now, do you see slightly changed? It has changed to Astra theme. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to start building the website.

Okay. now. So, I'm going to click on start building now. So, it will take some time.

A lot has changed now with WP you know they are like uh it's AI guided and such like that it's very good now compared to what so welcome to Astra now let's get started so fill up the details if you don't want

to fill up the details Not a problem. Just skip it. Don't select any features now. Just skip it. Okay. Now guys, there are two types which you can use to build the website.

Number one, using AI. What do you mean by using AI? Now, Sugata told me that she has a resume, right? I just need to come to generate with AI, enter her resume, the website will be built automatically. Easy. Done. Over. The

website will be ready in 2 minutes. Clear? It will ask you to sign up using an email ID. So, you can create three websites in one email ID. Are you clear with that? But I'm not going to do that.

I'm not going to do the easy stuff to do. So, this is going to be similar to your lovable and stuffs like that.

Yeah. But when you create using AI, right? Uh it will not be more flexible.

Got it? So I'm going to do the difficult one that is like manually doing it. So I am going to use templates and do it. Are you okay with that? Yeah. Shall we use shall you do it manually guys? Just give

me a thumbs up or just type yes in the chat box because AI you just need to fill it. Click yes next. Next next the website will be ready. But I want this to be in our control. Okay. So what do I

do? I click on build with templates. Now there are two editors. Now to edit this page we need editors.

WordPress gives you a basic editor called as block editor. But I I will go I'll be using elementar. This is a better version. Understand like this is your SMS in your mobile normal SMS. This is the SMS using true colon. Okay.

Right. So this gives more features, more uh buttons and all those stuffs. So I will use elementar. Clear with this. So these are all called plugins. Okay. I'll click this.

So now I don't want to use it. Now look at this. It gives you a list of all the websites which you guys can actually create. Very very very simple. Now all you got to do is come here then click on

what do you want to do. So for businesses agency restaurant hotel constructions real estate. So and then we have local business electrician plumber your personal care yoga spa massage professional uh professional personal site community e-commerce blogs. So you can literally choose

anything and build a website. Okay. So we are going to build portfolio and CV today. So I'm going to use portfolio and CV. But if you are a professional like finance accountant law coach medical, you can choose either of these.

Okay? Or in general, you can choose portfolio and CV. It will give you everything which is in that particular theme. Okay? Now, do you see the ones with premium? They are all paid versions. So skip it for now. Let's use

the free ones. Okay. end of the day they also need to survive right so they will also give you the free ones so now which one shall I use for sugata so let me use an women's profile this Joan is also good there a flute
