update, explain why I've been absent for so long, and give you at least a tour of the house and where we're at. So really the main reason that I haven't been uploading videos anymore is because I started Temple Tool Company about 2

years ago, and that's taken a ton of my time. So, I basically have a full-time job building the house, full-time job running the YouTube channel, and a full-time job starting this new company.

And so, one of them kind of had to take a backseat for the time being. And so, the, uh, YouTube channel, unfortunately, is the one that is on the back burners.

But, I want to let you all know that I plan on still doing videos in the future. Once I get more settled in, get the house to a place where we can move in, and Temple Tool Company off to a good

start, then I'll be back to doing my videos again. And the beautiful thing is that once the house is done, I can start building furniture, which is what I really truly love doing. And I'll be able to use and show the, uh, Temple Tool

tools that I've designed and use, and, uh, it'll be a win-win for everybody. So, let me at least take you in and show you the house.

So, the last, uh, videos I did was installing all the walls. They're SIP panel walls, and I was editing the roof panel videos, and I hadn't had a chance to finish those. Everything's just been going too quick. But, as you can see, we

have a timber frame garage that we did last year. I still have to cover that before winter time, but we've been mainly focusing on the inside. So, let me take you on the inside and, uh, show you that. Installed this really cool

round top door. I have, I filmed that, but obviously that video hasn't been released yet.

Let me give you a walk through in here and show you where we're at. So, we have all the plumbing, all the electrical, all the HVAC done. Have all the drywall on and painted. There's just one room upstairs that's still not painted. But

as you can see, we're in the kind of final stages. So, this area in here is going to be our kitchen. Over here will be our dining room.

Then, I'll take you down this hallway first. Call this the breezeway. We'll have a pantry, downstairs bathroom, laundry room, and this mud room. And honestly, this little hallway is about what we live in currently. We live in 700 ft² currently. Little electrical

closet, utility closet, and it is tight and we are sick and tired of it. So, that's why I've kind of been all hands on deck trying to get the house done.

Haven't been spending any extra time working on the videos. So, it's been Temple Tool Co. and that's just going, you know, that's going great.

Everything's moving along beautifully with Temple Tool. It is such an incredible journey. We have distributors all over the world now. We're in Woodcraft, Cats, Moses, Taylor Tools, our own website, um, Amazon. So, it's doing really well.

So, that's kind of the future. It's been a lot of, uh, time and energy into that.

Um, but I still, I really want to get this house done so that we can move in and I can get one thing off my plate.

So, here's the garage. Really would love to get that enclosed. There's a bunch of our stone for the fireplace, which I'll show you here in a second.

Head back down into the fun stuff, the timber frame. So, we have pretty much all of our lights installed.

Out here in the living room, we have big old chandelier. Those lights. Where's the, got track lights going on up there, too.

Those turned on upper chandelier, too. So, anyway, yeah, you can see got a lot of work done in here. My next project that I'm currently working on is this fireplace. So, framed it in, put cement board, put L, put a scratch coat

on it, and I brought in some of the stone to kind of lay out and get a feel.

And I'm going to be working on that next. I also milled up this mantle, which is really cool. Got a big old live edge oak log that I had laying around out back. Threw it on the sawmill and milled that up. It's kind of

hard. It's going to be hard to see right now, but that is going to be really cool.

So, here's our bedroom. We got a master bedroom, uh, a little closet, and this will be our bathroom. So, still a ton of work to do in there. After the fireplace is done, I'll start installing all the hardwood floor. I got a stack of

it there in the bedroom and then over in the pantry. And we went with this. It's by Hallmark Floors.

This, um, wide plank oak is engineered hardwood. So, and it's got a really, really thick, um, top layer of veneer so that it can be sanded and refinished probably at least two times in its life.

So, that'll last us, you know, until I'm long, long gone. We're going to do cherry trim for all the windows and baseboards and everything. And I've been milling up a bunch of cherry logs my friend gave me. I'll show you that in

the, in the shop. I'll take you in in a little bit and I'll show you some of the Temple Tool products as well. I should have one of them over here in my tool bag that I wear every day. Yeah. So,

this right here is an absolute gem. Being a woodworker by trade and loving Japanese saws, obviously, I know the benefit of them. And there's been so many times when working here in the house that I've wished I had a Japanese

saw on me rather than using a big cumbersome circular saw or having to go get a circular saw. So, we designed this really nice lightweight, we call it the butterfly saw. It's got crosscut and rip teeth on it. It just kicks butt. You can

open and close it one-handed. It's light enough that it fits in your tool bag real easy and doesn't take any space. So that lives in there.

All right, let me take you upstairs. Show you the upstairs. Got to build the stairs still. That'll be a big timber frame set of stairs, which will be cool. So, this is a little loft area. Probably have, you know,

couch, TV, desk kind of extra area up here. Over here is the upstairs bathroom.

You can see how cool these rooms are up here on the second story where you have the angle of the roof that's all exposed.

So, ton of tongue and groove in this house. This took forever. That was a lot of square footage of tongue and groove.

And I had to get up on these scaffoldings, put them in there, and try not to fall down to my death. But we made it. Here's, uh, a bedroom.

Pretty cool. I wish I had a bedroom like that when I was a kid. I can tell you that much.

But our kids have definitely earned the right to have a nicer bedroom. All three of them are in a tiny little bedroom. And so, you know, we have, we've been, we've been in a tight space for a long time, so this will feel like

mansion. All right. So, that's the upstairs. Pretty cool view out these windows. See a wildflower meadow out there. Chickens.

I have our own line of chisels. That was a lot of work finding a really good blacksmith over in Japan. They We also have a bent neck chisel, a bent neck pairing chisel, which is really unique tool. We have some Damascus and ebony

handled chisels coming out very soon, next week or so. marking gauge, replacement blue paper laminated steel blade for your plane blades. So, number five and number four. An awesome replacement blade. I think it's better than PMV11 and anything else out there.

Um, and then we have these Higgoami knives. We have a brass handled one like that and then also a BR a smaller Damascus version. So, we have a large Damascus version, these two black versions. These are marking knives. So

made a single bevel marking knife version. So it's kind of like the only Kyodashi style marking knife that can fold up, go in your little tool belt or a pocket and not stab you cuz most Kyodashi marking knives, Japanese knives

are a single solid blade like that. So you can't really put them in a pocket.

So we have a lot of other tools coming down the pipe. We have some really beautiful folding Ryoba, Kataba, and Dozuki saws that are not like this kind of folding, a single edge fold that have our new Dozi style is going to have a
