Speaker A
Now, according to my wife, this is the worst room in our house. And I kind of agree with her. So, let's turn this disgusting space into the most luxurious downstairs toilet you have ever seen.
Speaker A
Now, when it comes to my downstairs toilet, this is the most important room of my home other than my upstairs toilet because this is where I spend most of my peaceful time. So, when I reached out to Easy Bathroom and said I wanted to do
Speaker A
something extremely special, they tasked their Simply Install team with building me the most [music] luxurious downstairs toilet ever.
Speaker A
So, let's get this toilet ripped out. This just pulls off. Does it, Matthew? Is it Matthew Martin?
Speaker A
Now, with the install team, they take everything away in like this bag. However, I've got a skip coming today.
Speaker A
So, I'm going to probably put all this stuff in the skip just because I've got no space. So, they normally load this bag up. They'll come and collect it, but I'm not going to do it normally because I
Speaker A
need to get rid of all the rubbish wrap. Hello. Now, what is the bathroom suite going to look like? Well, you are going to see about that, but Tony here from Easy Bathroom, he's just organizing all the
Speaker A
bits because we had it delivered about a week ago. The stuff always comes before the installers. So, they've got everything here and he's just organizing. So, when the installers need something, we've got it there to hand because we want to try and get this bathroom
Speaker A
done as quick as possible. There we go. There we go. Oh, you can't. Oh, there we go.
Speaker A
Straighten the skip juice. [music] I'm staying [music] in Zoom. Remember quality installation. [music] [music] [music] floor.
Speaker A
Maybe grind it in. Did you see yourself? Let's hope this is... Wait, is there [music] [music] [music] [music] Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker A
[music] Doesn't pop down. What's up? Drum roll. [laughter] This is going to give me some measurements on this square.
Speaker A
See that? Oops. Come on. The boys yesterday did an absolutely cracking job, but right now we've got cables sticking out of the wall. We've got [music] LED trunking not installed.
Speaker A
Main light. We're going to get rid of that. We're going to be a little bit controversial. I want this room to, when you walk in, be very moody. I want it to be like ziqua. [music] So to do that,
Speaker A
we're going to get rid of the main light and we're going to only have mood lighting. That might be a big error, but we'll see at the end.
Speaker A
Heat. Heat. So that's why you can't do... you see, you can't do it that way.
Speaker A
Why? You can't have it face [music] on. Oh, right. So because they go at the top when you come around the bend. You can't go so and go around that way.
Speaker A
Okay. And what's your... if you try to do it that way, you have to kink it and it won't fit in the strip.
Speaker A
Um, will they not fit in your... It doesn't look... Oh yeah, they do snap sometimes and it's... So, as Andy was installing the LEDs for the back, this is going to be like the feature. Tom came up with a really good
Speaker A
idea. And we're going to put in some Oroco lighting right around the perimeter, which Andy's probably hating us right now because he's going to be installing it. But essentially what we're going to do is because we're trying to make the most luxurious
Speaker A
downstairs toilet ever, which is a bit excessive, but we want to add like a ceiling feature because this light's going to be going and we don't know [music] if the lighting from that is going to be enough for this little room.
Speaker A
It might be. We might make a mistake and give Andy a load of work that he doesn't [music] need to be doing. But we're going to see what it looks like when it's all done. How old are you?
Speaker A
24. Jesus. Next month he's got a thriving business. Tom owns Titan [music] Tiling and Bathrooms. Now, he's part of the installer team for Easy Bathroom. So, essentially, if I'm a customer, we ring Easy Bathroom and they contact you
Speaker A
because of your high level of work and your standards. So, do you have to pass like a test or like how does it work?
Speaker A
Yeah. So basically what it works with these bathrooms, it's called BIFAS and it's like the British standards of like [music] tradesmen and you have got to pass certain qualities and I've passed that and then now I've become an installer
Speaker A
and just basically just trust me and I get like emails saying do you want to accept this job and do you want to accept that job and that's how I've come across this. Yeah. [music] So essentially because of how Tom works and
Speaker A
how kind of seamless everything is, [music] he has the backing from Easy Bathroom which is a huge company which is... is it kudos to you? Kudos to [laughter] you that you like you're doing a brilliant job up to now mate.
Speaker A
It's been immense [music] like how efficient all the team has been. So do you just get like have you got like a core team and then you bring some subcontractors?
Speaker A
Yeah. So basically I've got like my go-to team like Andy, myself, like Andy himself. Yeah. I've got um [music] my plumbers, um Alpha Solutions and I use other plumbers as well. Um and my plaster mixer and his uncle and my spar
Speaker A
here I've got that that's it. Yeah, I've got like a go-to team basically that I trust and we come in and it just there's a process to everything and then first fix and then [music] fix.
Speaker A
It's mad. It's mad working with you guys because you come in and do little bits as a landscaper. We are we're on the job. Yeah, there the whole time.
Speaker A
We're there the whole time. They would come out and it's like we do bits of everything. [music] So like when you see you guys, what's difficult for landscapers because you are so tied up on jobs like this. If I want an
Speaker A
electrician, [music] it's so hard to get one because you'll be you're thinking I'm going to go and work outside in the pissing rain. I can go in a nice if I just get off.
Speaker A
Exactly. Yeah. So we find ourselves doing a lot more different trades [music] than what we would do. So it's nice to see how efficient you've got everything, which is pretty cool.
Speaker A
Right. We'll leave Andy to actually crack on and get some work done. Andy has done an incredible job. He's managed to install all the LED lighting down the side and more importantly, he's [music] installed the track for the
Speaker A
Oroco lighting. This is going to be a feature like you've probably never seen in a downstairs toilet. This is going to be absolutely insane when it's finished.
Speaker A
It's still... What do you reckon? It's... It's going to depend on the ceiling as well. Skim it like there. And then when I water it each time, I'll just take it over a bit more. A bit more.
Speaker A
So it's like... so it's proper thin on the end. Yeah. Yeah. But it won't really matter.
Speaker A
But I don't want to put it too thick over there. Now what Michael is going to do is plaster the roof. Now we had a bit of a boo-boo when Michael first arrived and it's not what he kind of signed up
Speaker A
for really because he thought he was just going to come and plaster the roof.
Speaker A
However, we put these trunkings in yesterday and what Michael's saying is you can't put that thick of a plaster in.
Speaker A
No, no, it's got to be a couple of mil. It's got to go flush with the skimmer and the board. It's got to be a thinner board there.
Speaker A
Yeah. So, what... So, what we've done is we've got some plasterboard from the shop, thicker stuff than this, and it will basically match up. So, it'll give him room to be able to skim the roof. So now he's going to board it up, skim it.
Speaker A
Hopefully the job's a good. It's now time to install the Oroco lighting, which I'm very excited about. Now to install it, the electrician yesterday has already put me a feed right here. So, all I need to do is
Speaker A
attach it in and then fit it in the trunking that Michael has very kindly made look beautiful. So, he's going to plaster over this now. But before he plasters it, we need to get this in [music] because if he plasters up to the
Speaker A
edges, we want to... we want to make it look beautiful. So, now it's time to install the ARO. These little things are the best thing that got invented.
Speaker A
They're called WGO. Back in the day, you used to have like these blo...
Speaker A
So, the rid of the old 1970s block connector. So, now I'm going to just knock tighten that up.
Speaker A
So, if I now plug that in there, right, it's now time to see if all the work that we did is uh working. Are we ready Luke?
Speaker A
Yay. Look at that. Go on, boy. That is going to look sick. There we go.
Speaker A
Oh my god. HEY. HEY. HEY. Thank you. Hey, hey hey. Okay, then stop. Wow, heat.
Speaker A
Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Come on. Take a small cup. Kissing me doesn't help.
Speaker A
[snorts] [music] and Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Now, let's take a look at my beautiful new downstairs toilet. Now, in total, this cost me around £8,000, but that includes the installation. Let's take a look.
Speaker A
[music] Now, let me just explain some of the things that we kind of went for. We went for allo lighting in the roof. We went for a nice pattern right around that ended up being a headache to install
Speaker A
because we put it in. I had to take it out and we put it back in again. But right now it looks absolutely beautiful.
Speaker A
Now with the mirror, this toilet gets used most out of all the tradesmen, all the visitors that we get. We get a lot of visitors to the house. This toilet gets used a lot. So we wanted it to look
Speaker A
quite hotel fancy high-grade toilet. Now like I say, this was 8 grand, but my toilet that we did in the YouTube studio should have been about six grand. But we have done some super high tech stuff on that. The video was coming out on that
Speaker A
one in a couple of weeks. But let us know what you think of this one. I absolutely love it. And don't forget, if you want to get a discount code with Easy Bathroom Room, use the code mark. I
Speaker A
don't know how long that's going to last for, so fill your boots.
