As you've seen by now, Serum 2 is out and it's free so long as you purchase Serum 1. It might be really confusing on how to update it because I just spent the last 30 minutes trying, and I finally figured it out.
Speaker A
So I'm just going to go through a step-by-step process on how to update Serum. If you purchased it through the rent-to-own with Splice, you just head straight on over to Xfer and you log into an Xfer account
Speaker A
using the same email that you use for Splice. Once you're logged in, Serum 2 free, free download, free upgrade, you just click download. You'll see the versions. You download Windows, you wait for this thing to download, and boom, we're done.
Speaker A
You open up the installer. Obviously, this goes for a Windows PC application. I can also show how to install it on Mac, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Mac is so much easier than Windows. You just go on next.
Speaker A
I agree. You make sure you have all these checked. You click next, install. Make sure it's downloading to a VST folder that you have set up with FL Studio so that when you go to your manage plugins, it'll just pop right
Speaker A
up when you press find a plugin. Next and finish. And then you're going to head on over to FL Studio, go to your manage plugins under the options tab in the top left, find installed plugins, and boom, once that's all done, you do not find
Speaker A
Serum 2. What the—there it is. Okay, it just didn't, it didn't do the yellow. And you'll just open up Serum 2. You need to authorize or you're renting, and it should work when you have Splice open.
Speaker A
But if you need to authorize like you're past the rent-to-own stage, press authorize. You can sign in. Make sure you're signing into the account that your Splice email is linked to. Authorization successful. This machine is now
Speaker A
authorized to run Serum 2, and we're good to go. We have the whole thing open. You'll see that the init, the init preset. Okay, so editing mellow here, and I realized that in my original recording last night, I may have missed the audio
Speaker A
for my FL Studio when I was testing out Serum 2. So we'll just go ahead and get it going on this. I [Music]. I mean, you can turn on the ARP and just get this 16 [Music] note. Whoops. I have this nice little bass,
Speaker A
little fifth on there, a third [Music], maybe a [Music] [Music] fifth. Oh, that is juicy. Juicy, juicy, juicy. Well, that about does it. Serum 2, you have it installed. Check the link in the description for these presets. Just
Speaker A
go down there, download them, test out Serum 2. I've had a lot of fun making these presets, using the new Serum 2 platform, and yeah, it would really help me out if you could
Speaker A
subscribe. Thank you so much for watching, and check the link in the description.
