How big of a Minecraft house would you need to fit every Minecraft player?
Exploring how big a Minecraft house must be to fit every active player, using compact rooms and extended building techniques.
Key Takeaways
- Fitting every Minecraft player requires extremely compact room designs.
- Minecraft’s default height limit restricts building capacity significantly.
- Using data packs and giant blocks can overcome Minecraft’s building limits.
- Even with optimization, accommodating 200 million players is a massive architectural challenge.
- Creative solutions are necessary to build at such a large scale in Minecraft.
What the video covers
- The video investigates the size of a Minecraft house needed to accommodate all active Minecraft players.
- There are over 200 million active Minecraft players according to Google.
- Rooms are designed to be compact, each including a door, bed, torch, and shared workstations.
- A single floor packed with these rooms fits about 70,000 players.
- Stacking floors with staircases up to the height limit increases capacity to around 9 million rooms.
- To fit all players, the creator used giant blocks to extend the foundation and walls.
- A data pack was installed to increase the height limit for adding a roof.
- The final structure just barely fits a room for every Minecraft player.
- The resulting Minecraft house is described as the most cursed house the creator has ever seen.

To find out, I started by placing a foundation the size of an entire biome.
Speaker A
Google says there's over 200 million active players.
Speaker A
So to give everyone space for their own room, I designed them to be as compact as possible.
Speaker A
You get a door, bed, torch, and workstations that you share with your neighbor.
Speaker A
Even though these rooms are super tiny, an entire floor packed to the brim only fits like 70,000.
Speaker A
If we add staircases and stacked them all the way to height limit, it fits a lot more rooms, but still only around 9 million.
Speaker A
So to make it even bigger, I used giant blocks to extend the foundation and walls and filled in as many rooms as possible.
Speaker A
I had to install a data pack that increased the height limit to put on a roof.
Speaker A
But I was just barely able to fit a room for every Minecraft player and turn it into the most cursed Minecraft house that I think I've ever seen.
