So, as mentioned at the beginning, yes, especially when you're preparing for this day, the troop load of your march is the most important one.

And that can be increased in many ways, sure, in this case, if we have a look at these heroes, and if you can afford to use one of those skill resetting scrolls, yes, you can put it on skills like this to increase your load.

But as you can see, I don't use it, so what else is increasing my load for these marches? Well, you guessed it, have a look at this, that's the march size, and how do I increase my march size?

And many of you will say, well, Timmy, if you can afford, use some of these buffs and then you're ready to go, if that's your opinion, you are wrong again.

So, as mentioned, we're going to have to see some numbers, but first, when you're sending a march to a tile, and we're going to take the closest one, pay attention to the following two fields in here, because when you're preparing for the gathering day, make sure this is off, because you're going to need a full march, like you see it here, and by far the most important button is this one, so make sure it's turned off just like this, because the last thing you want is for your march to automatically return home, as it will totally going to mess your preparation day.

But even if the march is on a battlefield, or is simply marching towards a tile, you can click on it, click on the details, make sure this button is turned off the way you see it right here, especially for this preparation stage.

So if we take this super awesome setup of mine, which has a gathering bonus of 426%,

let me show you something extremely important, because, yeah, I have all this awesome gathering speed, actually in red, so four of them per hero, on all three heroes, as you can see here, same goes also for Derrick.

And now let's send this march to the nearest tile, even it's a level five, because I need to show you the important numbers, so let's do that, let's wait for the march to arrive and settle in, of course, and you're going to have to keep one number in mind.

And that's going to be, well, the following, this one, 970,714 resources per hour, this comes from this 426 gathering bonus, so let's bring the march back home.

And mention which tiles exactly should you farm for the preparation stage, and, uh, yeah, obviously, you can go to your alliance city, which in this case is here, sure you're going to find some tiles which are level seven, like this one, for example.

But one thing won't change, this default automatic gathering speed, 210, as that's literally the same as a level six.

Just like you see it in here, also 210, and the highest default gathering speed is actually in the alliance mine, as you can see here, 250,000.

But here you really have to pay attention to a massive issue, because even if you have this option turned off, once the alliance mine is empty, this march will come home, no matter if this is on or off, so you really have to pay attention on that.

As beautiful people, you cannot rely on this number, because as you can see right now, this somebody sending a march to the mine, and the more people they are, the faster they will going to empty this mine, therefore, this number is not realistic, and by the time you're coming back online, what's going to happen, your march will going to return home, and you messed up already one of your five marches.

So good, I hope that is clear, so let's presume this is the day in which I'm preparing my march, therefore, I need the highest load possible, aka also the highest march size possible.

Getting extra hero level will actually going to increase your march size, and let's actually use one XP right here, because I'm going to get extra 200 march size per level.

So good, pay attention exactly to the following steps, how to get your maximum load.

Because what you're going to do first is to go to your battle setups, so you see here all four of mine, and you want to go to these heroes, and what you need is the highest maximum 12 extra march size gems.

And I already prepared that, and let's do this together, because that's exactly what you're going to do first, before you even going to activate the buff, so we do that together right now, so I'm going to put this one, then we also going to replace this one, so basically four gems per hero, so let's do that, also the boots, this one, let's do this, oh, hold on a second, this one is bigger, so we're going to put that one.

We have to do this for the second hero, so I'm going to replace all these gathering gems off, like this, this is the third one, and we have one more, which is on the boots, this one right here, let's find it, this is march size, and basically, beautiful people, it doesn't simply matter if these gems are even gray or blue level, it doesn't matter, it's better than nothing, so do that exactly the way I'm doing it right now.

But no panic, and if we have a look again at my march, if you paid attention, now it's far higher, 182,150 troops.

Therefore, my troop load is also higher amount of resources, and now let's pop the buff.

So we're going to go to our inventory, we go to the buffs, I'm going to take actually the smallest one, so the green one, if you want to maximize this, you can use a purple one, so let's do that.

Let's go back to that march, and have a look now, and see, wow, now I have 47,894,391 amount of resources, and this is basically the maximum what I can get right now.

So please pay attention to the next step, because next step is going to be to send this march out, not to the tile, yeah, so just like this, keep it on the battlefield, because what you're seeing here is this huge march size, 200,365 units.

And once your march is on the battlefield, do exactly the following step, so.

Follow me, let's do it together, we go back to this setup, and now, beautiful people, yes, probably you guessed it, let's put back the gathering speed, all 12 gems, so, yeah, it's going to take a little bit, so let's do that together, on the boots also, I need one, here it is, now let's go to the second hero.

Like this, let's do the same, we're going to take all this march capacity gems off, and did you kept that number in mind, 917,000 gathering speed per hour, good, we're going to see in a moment when those gems were on, so let's put back on, let's put it on the boots, of course, don't forget that, and now, let's put it.

On the last hero also, and we're going to check again the gathering bonus in a moment, so we're going to do that, we're going to do this, this one, and of course, the last one is going to be on Derrick, on the boots, so where are you, here, okay, so we've done it.

So, beautiful people, now you're ready to send it to a tile, obviously, level six, but I'm going to send it to a level five, because it's the closest one to us, in order to again have a look, what's the gathering speed of this march, which by the way, as you can see here, still has a march size of 200,365 troops, so, let's wait for this march to go in, is in right now, yeah, 970,000, isn't that the same number, so it does work.

So what you're going to do now, it's literally do the same with your second best march.

So, you're going to come in here, go first to the heroes, place the maximum amount of march capacity gems, all four of them on each hero.

Then you're going to take the march out, and then you go back to that setup, go back to the gems for all three hero, obviously, and put back the gathering gems, and then you are ready to send this march to a different tile.

So, beautiful people, that's exactly how you're maximizing your gathering performance preparation in the day or days before the gathering event starts.

Okay, so now we have to talk about the day in which actually the gathering event happens, so which stats are the ones which you must focus on?

Because if one thing is for sure, you no longer need the load.

Let me pull back this setup, as actually the day is the gathering day, and presumably this will be a level six, let's say special resources.

What I'm going to do, I'm going to set my march there, exactly like this, so make sure you only send the amount of troops which are necessary to get all the resources from this node, and yes, click also auto return, it doesn't matter, just make sure you're online to send it to the next tile.

So which of these two stats, the gathering bonus or extra resources, is the best one, because a lot of you guys keep telling me that the gathering speed is far better than getting extra resources.

And if that's your opinion, yeah, you're wrong again, and let me present you some numbers.

Let's pick one, this is the gathering day, so the march has only the amount of troops which it needs to get all those resources from this special tile, but look how many resources this march has brought back, isn't that more than double, isn't it? Good, have a look at the second screenshot, isn't that the same thing?

As beautiful people, there is one thing which you must understand, when it comes down to the gathering bonus, this is a stat like all other stats in Age of Empires Mobile, might attack, strategy attack, health, defense, you name it, the problem is, the higher this value gets, the lesser you are getting from an item which will only going to upgrade, in this case, gathering speed, another 1% or 2%, it's going to be far, far lower.

So therefore, beautiful people, allow you to show you my horses, so we're going to go to the mounts, and we're going to select here one super awesome trait when it comes down to gathering, so that's the abundance.

Because what you're going to see right now, it's all 15 of my heroes for farming have this abundance trait, or in this case, getting extra resources after you have successfully gathered a node, so take all the resources, which by the way, is also a good thing, as people will going to stop leaving these tiles half and done, and if we go, for example, to this horse, yeah, this is the highest value, so 4% extra resources.
