Have you wondered how far you can go in making Windows File Explorer look exactly like Mac OS Finder? In this video, we'll dive into every customization trick to show you how far you can really go and review where the limitation still lies. And it looks simple right now. We just want it to look like a Mac OS Finder. And to do that, let's look at how the Mac OS Finder looks like. And with this, we can see it has a whole new different vibe with eight control buttons at the left side with a nice glassy background with blue icons, and it looks beautiful. And we are going to achieve it all on our computer. And to do that, we are going to use a tool called Rainhawk, which is a nice Windows customization tool. And you can just click on download to download it from this site and install. Once you have it, I've also provided a zip file in the description below which contains the three folders. Now the first thing we are going to do is to get these beautiful red, yellow, green icons on our Windows computer and then move it to the left side. And to do that we are going to open this folder up. And now we can see icons here. Just double click on it and you are going to see this folder inside. What I recommend you do is to select everything and copy. Once you copy it, just head to your local disk C and here open your Windows folder. Look for resources and here open it up. Open themes and paste it here. Once you have it here, you can minimize everything and head to your Windows settings and here go to personalization. Go to themes and now select any of the themes. Once you select it, you are going to see that our background has changed to this Mac OS background and it looks simple but the icons are still the same. And to fix that, we are going to use a mod inside Rainhawk called US theme hook. So this is the mod and I'm just going to open it up and click on install. Don't worry, it's safe. So click on install to install it. Once you have it installed, just minimize it and open your settings again and select another theme. Once you select it, open your File Explorer and you're going to see that it has given it nice icons over here. But our background wallpaper has been removed. And now I'm just going to set it back again to get that beautiful background I was having. Now let's look at how we can move these icons to the left side. And to do that just open the zip file folder again. And now you're going to see left here. Just open it up. And here right click on the zip file and extract on your desktop. Once you have it extracted, open it up. And there are two versions inside. I recommend you take the version 1.02 and paste it inside your document folder. Once you have it here, just open it up and run this one as administrator. So instantly you can see that the icons have been moved at the back of this one. We can see that there is something covering it because Windows 11 has a different bar over here. And to get a bar to make it look pretty cool, we are going to use another mod called Win 7 command bar which is a mod that's going to transform our Windows bar to a nice simple bar. So to get that just click on install and install it on your computer. Once you have this mod installed we just have to open our task manager and here what we have to do is to look for explorer. So once you have it just click on it and click on restart to restart our Windows Explorer. And now I can close it up. Once it's closed if I open my File Explorer you are going to see that everything is looking simple and clean now. Now the next thing we are going to do is to get that blue icon pack on our Windows Explorer. And to do that we are going to use a mod inside Rainhawk called resource redirect. So just look for resource redirect. And here is the mod. So what I'll do is just click on details and click on install. Once installed just head to settings over here and look for Mac OS because we are going for Mac OS. And with this, I'm just going to go with the Mac OS Blue and just click on save settings. Once you click on it, you're going to see this popup. Just click on yes to install. Now, if we open our File Explorer, we should be seeing the new icons. But unfortunately for me, mine didn't change. And the easiest way to fix that is to go back inside the Rainhawk mod again. And here, select any of the icon packs and save. Now we can just minimize it up again and open our explorer. And now we are going to see these beautiful icons and it's pretty cool. So now we have these Mac OS style icons on our computer. And the next thing we have to do is to give it that acrylic background to make it look nicer. And to do that just open the folder up again which contains the TL folders. And here you are going to see BG. Just open it up and extract over here. Once extracted open it up and you're going to see a release folder here. Just drag it to your document folder and here open it up. Once you have it here, right click on the register and click on run as administrator. Click on run to start. And here it's going to prompt you to restart your explorer. Just click on okay to restart. And once done, you can open it up. And wow, look at this. This is looking beautiful. And it's looking more beautiful than the usual Windows 11. So, this is how far you can go in transforming your Windows File Explorer to make it look like the Mac OS Finder.
