On four. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. On, on how many channels do you do dailies?
Speaker A
And the best part is, I edit all these videos myself. What was your record for the amount of recorded material?
Speaker A
My record in one day is definitely somewhere around, I don't know, 14, 15. Holy [ __ ].
Speaker A
How is it with that Wojtek guy? With Wojt. What do you think about the parodies of your songs by the Geon channel?
Speaker A
Well, it earned thousands of green zlotys. Well, hi there, Paweł. I welcome you very warmly.
Speaker A
Welcome, welcome. Finally, we finally managed. I welcome Mr. C Potworek. I can say right away that with C Potworek, I don't know how long we've known each other. I mean, maybe, you know, not as friends and so on, but we've
Speaker A
known each other from YouTube for a long time, right?
Speaker A
Yeah, ages. 10 years. Terrifying. We're old geezers now, YouTube dinosaurs.
Speaker A
No, actually, a fun fact. Before the conversation, Palion said he's sitting on TeamSpeak. Viewers, do you understand this?
Speaker A
No, but no, wait, no, no. I know it sounds like an old man and boomer, but we're recording on TeamSpeak, but I normally talk on Discord.
Speaker A
Okay. TeamSpeak simply has better audio quality. Okay, so listen, that's how it is. We're old geezers, retired here, you could say, long-time Minecraft players too. No, time flies way too fast, man.
Speaker A
Seriously, that's true. These years, year after year, I don't know. It's a disaster. I don't know, just a moment ago when I was 16, 15, and someone was 25, to me they were like a real uncle, right?
Speaker A
And now you are that uncle.
Speaker A
Well, I guess I'm that uncle now. But that's how it is. I'll even tell you, I catch myself, for example, very often now. Uncle humor, man, it's with me practically all the time.
Speaker A
So, you've become a boomer?
Speaker A
Well, it's slowly happening. I mean, I'll say this, I'm only saved by the fact that I have to keep up with things that are happening.
Speaker A
Well, yeah, I watch TikTok. I only catch myself on
Speaker A
the fact that I watch TikTok and it recommends me content that, so to speak, you need some dopamine when you watch TikTok.
Speaker A
I mean, I'm quite specific in that regard, because you know how people have, for example, when they go to sleep, right?
Speaker A
It's generally said that you should put the phone away, that it's better not to use your phone at all before sleep. Man, and that people can't fall asleep if they, for example, watch a lot of TikToks before bed. If I watch TikToks
Speaker A
for 30 minutes before bed, I'm asleep in minutes. Literally.
Speaker A
Okay, so it's the other way around, right? My girlfriend is the same; she also falls asleep with the phone in her hand.
Speaker A
Okay. I prefer to put it away and have silence, but unfortunately, it's not possible with her.
Speaker A
Yes. Next to me, some TikTok...
Speaker A
it's constantly thumping there in my ear.
Speaker A
No, we also have to point out to the viewer, since we're at the beginning of this conversation, that Paweł is generally sick and...
Speaker A
And so sometimes I might just cough a little. Well, literally. So just so you know, don't worry about it.
Speaker A
Yeah. And maybe I'll say this, generally according to the plan of our conversation, we were supposed to start from the genesis, the beginnings, let's say nostalgic topics I wanted to bring up with Paweł, because you also asked a
Speaker A
lot about that on the community tab under the post. However, Paweł surprised me. And I guess you guys too, because he unexpectedly released a teaser for a song that ends Palionowo.
Speaker A
Is this the end of Palionowo? What is this about? Let me say this, let me say this.
Speaker A
Overall, we are in a tragic state at the moment because we don't know what's going on there. Mr. Monster, we have to solve this puzzle, and I hope the viewers will also help us with this, because something unpleasant is just
Speaker A
approaching. Overall, it was colorful all the time, for half a year it was beautiful in Palionowo. But it can't always be beautiful. And now evil is coming, but I can't really reveal too much more. You just have to wait, but
Speaker A
it's going to be intense, unfortunately. And Minecraft with your girlfriend is back.
Speaker A
It's back, because with Maja, I don't know if you know, I was doing this series, Minecraft with my girlfriend. I started it twice or three
Speaker A
times, and now I'm finally bringing it back permanently, that she agreed to do it permanently.
Speaker A
Yes, permanently. No way. Get out of here. You convinced Maja to do regular Minecraft content.
Speaker A
No, actually, she was the one who wanted to. She was the one who wanted to.
Speaker A
She wanted to. Impossible. I won't believe it.
Speaker A
No, well, you know, it's generally like this with Maja, I spend time with her, but honestly...
Speaker A
not as much as I want to, or as much as I should. So you know, if we can at least play and record a Minecraft video, she's also spending time with me.
Speaker A
Maja feels better then.
Speaker A
No, no, no, no, no. He probably won't have... no, no, no, no. He won't have a channel. She's just going to be recording with me.
Speaker A
There won't be a Majolandia.
Speaker A
Well, it... Majolandia. No, no, we're just recording together, hanging out and having fun.
Speaker A
Okay. Well, I'll say this, I wouldn't have had to persuade Diana to start playing Minecraft with me, but that's why I was so shocked that Maja agreed.
Speaker A
Since you say she wanted to as well, then... I mean, because you know, she played before too, it's not like she's a total, I mean, she is a noob. She is a noob, but she kind of gets it, she can still
Speaker A
back out of that, but you know, she doesn't die that much, I mean she understands the basics, she can craft things, she's not a total total newbie.
Speaker A
Okay. She likes playing some games too, so she likes it. That's cool, you know. In part, it's thanks to that that you have a common passion, right, in all of this.
Speaker A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because for you, this is work, right? It's your occupation, what you've been doing for many years. Since you have an occupation that you can share with your significant other, that's mega respect, right? That's cool. Giga.
Speaker A
It is, it is cool, but also when it comes to work, you shouldn't work with loved ones, right? I mean, like, you know, there could be some...
Speaker A
some arguments, but for example on Palionowo there are only friends. I mean, it's not like these are just random people or something. All the people who are, for example, on Palionowo, we are friends in real life and we spend time together non-stop and
Speaker A
it's good, right? And what's it like on this Palionowo, I mean? Because you say you don't have any arguments between you, there are no shifts, you know, because as you say, there are the same people all the time,
Speaker A
so, no, there haven't been any, let's say, reshuffles when it comes to the characters on Palionowo, how was that?
Speaker A
I mean, there were, there were, because there was Szczypson, there was Milki, but generally everything, like, when we were recording, nothing even happened, like, how to put it, that it wasn't because of arguments that they left, but more...
Speaker A
naturally, right? Well, naturally, they just didn't want to record this type of content anymore.
Speaker A
Do you still have contact?
Speaker A
Well, I don't know. When I had a concert, for example, they came and we met up, but otherwise, there's less contact, right? Because...
Speaker A
well, inevitably for sure, right? If my life, well, my life is just work, you know? Whenever I get up in the morning, I'm tapping away at this computer from morning till night, it's super intriguing to me and I wanted to
Speaker A
ask you about that too. What does your typical day look like, right? If we were to imagine a classic day for Paweł Palion, since I'm so curious.
Speaker A
So, what does your classic day as Paweł Palion look like? You know, you get up, you wake up, and how does it go?
Speaker A
If I had to make vlogs, I'd bore everyone to death, right? Well, I get up, I get up in the morning, I go get ready, obviously wash up, style my hair. And then what? Then I enter my den
Speaker A
and man, if there are any calls, I make them, because the company, if somet
Speaker A
asked what it was, that why are there yachts in Silesia, they asked. Yeah. But anyway. So that’s how it was, you know, once there was a house and a yard , and I got older, I had the chance to
Speaker A
record in that yard. If I lived in an apartment, I don't know if I could have managed. When it comes to recording, if I were still sharing a room with my sister, I really doubt it. I’m also the type of person who gets stressed
Speaker A
recording in front of someone. I’m a bit, I’m a bit strange, sort of an introvert, sort of an extrovert, because I don't really like being around people that much, I mean, I like my own environment, I just prefer
Speaker A
recording alone, but when it’s a concert, I can open up, you know? And that doesn’t stress me out. I was just about to ask, when you go out to people, you know, when you had the concert tour, for example, there were
Speaker A
meet and greets too, I think, so on one hand, you know, you're fully exposed, right, as Paweł Palion, so how do you feel then?
Speaker A
Well, just like you said before, right, that I honestly don't have that stress at all.
Speaker A
Okay, so not at all, I don’t know if it’s something I learned, or if I just overcame that fear a bit. I don’t know what to call it. Maybe, maybe something like that.
Speaker A
No, honestly, it stuck in my memory because we’ve known each other for a long time, which was basically highlighted at the beginning. I vividly remember the first meetups, back when meetups were still being organized.
Speaker A
These were events, let’s say, so the viewers know what I’m talking about. Right now, you could say that PGA is a substitute for the meetups that used to happen. The meetups were organized by the Get Hero agency, and generally,
Speaker A
YouTubers from all over Poland would come there, to see their, let’s say, audience, their fans. And I remember that at one of those meetups, Paweł and I crossed paths, and man, the number of people coming up to you was insane! There, you
Speaker A
know, were strictly YouTubers who were, like, at those photo walls where lines would form, and, well...I remember that for you, for example, back in those meetup days, there was a longer line than for the people who were at those
Speaker A
walls, right? So that is for me, what was I even doing back then ? I don’t remember, man. Well, you just showed up, right? I mean, that’s how people recognized you, right? That really stuck in my memory. I’m telling you, oh viewers,
Speaker A
I’ll say this: on my channel, you definitely have a vlog from some meetup . I don’t know if it was that meetup or an earlier one, but generally, those were very intense events. I, for example, really, really regret that
Speaker A
they aren't around now. No, I practically mourn that fact, right? It was super cool. Yeah, I really liked it.
Speaker A
The incredible atmosphere was the main thing; you could really feel the YouTube vibe, right? I mean, yeah, everyone from the same bubble would come and chat with each other. It was super cool. Now, nobody organizes anything like that anymore. But on the
Speaker A
other hand, I think that YouTubers wouldn't come for free. You think it’s not like that in these times?
Speaker A
Yeah, that’s the impression I have. It depends, I mean, you know, it depends on who, but it seems to me that a lot of people wouldn't come unless they were getting paid.
Speaker A
Okay, I’ll tell you, I’m bringing this up for the umpteenth time, but for example, there’s PGA in Poznań now, that’s the Poznań Games Arena. And to this event, for example, a lot of creators flock, and I’ll tell you:
Speaker A
it’s definitely not like back then, where all the biggest ones were there, let’s say, at the meetups—because it was such a prestigious and somehow lucrative event. At PGA, let’s say, it’s a smaller scale still, but more and more creators are appearing. I’ll
Speaker A
tell you, it’s also related to the fact that many companies that sponsor those creators are also exhibiting there, you know? Because PGA is themed around games, so gaming in general, you know, a bit of a trade show, a trade show.
Speaker A
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Literally, PGA has sort of taken on the role of those meetups, right? I get the impression it gets better year by year, but yeah, that’s true. I think, as you say, it would be hard to bring the biggest key
Speaker A
creators there. That is a fact. The more people that would show up, it would be such a grand event.
Speaker A
Definitely not, you know, they would have scaled it instantly, right? Those were different times. Different times.
Speaker A
Yeah. I definitely know that. Supposedly different times, yet Palionowo is still standing. But Palionowo hasn't been around as long as back then.
Speaker A
No, actually, yeah. Palionowo has been around for four years, I think. Palionowo has been around for four years.
Speaker A
Four years. Okay. Because you were around before Palionowo. Before Palionowo, I was...no, I was around before Palionowo. I mean, there was also Wojanowice, there was Wojanowice.
Speaker A
Mhm. Palionowo started maybe two months after I joined Wojanowice, something like that, but before that, I was still a solo YouTuber, reactions were doing well.
Speaker A
Okay. And they were doing super well, reactions, some vlogs, gaming, Fortnite was there too.
Speaker A
And what made you start doing an SMP, I mean, because you can call Palionowo an SMP, right? In the sense that it's a popular acronym now.
Speaker A
What made you think, "Hey, I'll go and make myself a Palionowo," or you know, make a server with my buddies, before Wojanowice? You know, it started with PewDiePie when he uploaded that Minecraft, and I started watching his series. I don't know if you remember.
Speaker A
Yeah, that return to Minecraft that he did. Well, that... That's why Wojtek started recording too . Minecraft came back to life and, well , Wojtek started recording then.
Speaker A
Wojtek Wojan. Yes, yes, yes. Yeah, Wojan. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just so everyone understands, because, you know, I understood. Then I see which Wojtek he's talking about.
Speaker A
He started right then too. I also started and was recording solo, I mean, solo and with my buddies in Minecraft, then I joined Wojanowice and then Palionowo was created. And at the beginning, it wasn't really an SMP, we
Speaker A
were doing survival, actually, more so. Then it started becoming more like a fairy tale, with some scripts, some things, you know, a different style started then. Mainly it's there's a lot of roleplay now. I mean, is it mainly roleplay, or do you have
Speaker A
something like improvisation, or how does that look? No, there is, there's a lot of improvisation too, but generally, it's actually more roleplay. We don't play Minecraft like we're just playing a game, gathering wood and so on, but it's more like a
Speaker A
fairy tale, a fairy tale being told, more like Minecraft is a machine for creating, creating a fairy tale, that it's just a square world where you can create anything, imagine anything, you make a script and create cool stories,
Speaker A
right? Exactly. Okay, so you treat Minecraft strictly as a tool now, right? Yeah, as a tool for a story. We aren't actually gaming right now. Well, Minecraft with my girlfriend is basically a survival series, what I'm doing with Maja now. Mhm.
Speaker A
We’re just playing Minecraft. But I'm sure once you know, once this Minecraft ends eventually, like you know, you kill the dragon, beat Minecraft, then there will probably be more scripted episodes, right?
Speaker A
I see. So, I was actually going to ask you how you manage to keep "Palionowo" within the same framework and boundaries it had at the very start, since the beginning it’s been in the same form and shape and remains
Speaker A
unchanged, you know. And you’ve grown up, you’re getting older, just like we already talked about. How, like, how do you generally handle that? I mean, how do you do it in such a way that you started as a young boy, let's say, and
Speaker A
now as adult Paweł you still fit into that role, so to speak, in that story.
Speaker A
You know, I don't think I have anything like that, where I have everything planned a year ahead or what's going to happen in a year. We create it day by day, you could say. That surprised me a bit, because I know many creators plan
Speaker A
their content very far in advance. And especially with your videos, you do daily uploads on how many channels?
Speaker A
On four. Almost. Almost, because on the main one we have, wait. On, on how many channels do you do daily uploads?
Speaker A
Well, you have Palion Roblox, Palion Games Plus, Palion Games, that's where you have daily uploads, and on Palion you have the main channel. Yeah, and I started recording GTA there now. I mean , I started, well, I’ve been doing it
Speaker A
for half a year, right? Because GTA 6 is coming. Well, that's exactly why I wanted to ask, was it because of GTA 6 coming out, or...
Speaker A
I had it in mind, but not only because of that, actually. I just generally played GTA on PlayStation 3, on PlayStation 4, on PC, and on PlayStation 5. I just love that game and I always wanted to record it,
Speaker A
but I thought my viewers wouldn't watch it from me, but I found a way to record the game, similar to how I do in Minecraft, actually, that GTA is a tool .
Speaker A
You create a story, you create a narrative. Yeah, yeah. We just make up little stories or some challenges, right?
Speaker A
Okay. Well, basically in the same, right? I was just wondering how you approach this, you know? Because you're a grown man, yet you create content relatively for young, young people, right? So it has to reach them, the message has to be understandable for
Speaker A
them, right? And just how did you find that middle ground in all of this? That's what I was really wondering about, actually. Even as I was thinking about our conversation today, it was well, first of all, no swearing,
Speaker A
okay? Although there were, there were some slip-ups. There were some slip-ups , because you know, when you do a cut or something, well, generally—and the best part is, I edit all these videos myself, so that's an extra, right?
Speaker A
Wait, wait, you're a creator who, damn, you have those few million subs across all your channels for sure, right? And you still edit your videos yourself, yeah? Because there's not much editing there, and when I'm recording, I remember when I make a cut. I just trim
Speaker A
it, you know, we don't do zooms or subtitles in those videos. The story itself is already made and structured so that there's no need to add extra dopamine, because that's pointless. We just, you know, make a script, record,
Speaker A
make a cut, record, make a cut, and I stitch it together. And before I could send all those gigabytes to an editor and explain it to them, and they'd have to look through everything, I'd have finished it and uploaded it long ago,
Speaker A
right? Oh, wow. That's interesting, actually, because usually at some point people " professionalize" everything so much that they just delegate tasks like editing to an outside person.
Speaker A
Well, yeah. It's supposedly needed here , but not quite, just in terms of time.
Speaker A
Unless generally only for those more professional, let's say—in quotes, of course—and more difficult productions , like songs, you know, music videos or something like that, then I use one.
Speaker A
Yes, yes, yes. And for example, I don't know, when I make vlogs, then obviously for a vlog, someone films me and someone edits for me. No, a vlog can't be recorded in a way that it's interesting without any
Speaker A
editing. So actually your AdSense is, like, most of the AdSense amount goes strictly to you, because there's no cost here for, you know, an editor, which is always the case. And thumbnails, do you do the graphics yourself or is there a graphic
Speaker A
designer? No, a graphic designer does the thumbnails. Well, I think I only do the thumbnails for the main channel, because for GTA someone draws thumbnails for me, for Gamesami they also make thumbnails, and for Roblox they also draw my thumbnails, but until
Speaker A
recently I did everything myself. Recently. No, for me that is incredible. No, because it shows that either you have your time very well organized and know how to manage it, or you're some kind of old Robocop, right? Like there's
Speaker A
nothing in between. I mean, I'm a workaholic. That's for sure. I mean, that already came across at the beginning.
Speaker A
The good and the bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For example, when I go away, I don't know, like when I was sick or when I went on vacation. Well, that's cool.
Speaker A
Well, a vacation is a reward, because for me, I just work, record my videos, and go on vacation to rest, it's a reward, but then when I was sick for 10 days for example and couldn't record on certain days, I was so frustrated that
Speaker A
I couldn't record. No, but I meant when you are on vacation, so I don't forget, when you are on vacation, do you have that thing where you think about work, right? About recording videos, about the materials, about posting things,
Speaker A
about how the content is doing, for example. Yes. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I try not to check, but even, you know, those phone calls, when I'm on vacation, they're more about business matters than okay.
Speaker A
than YouTube stuff. More non-YouTube things. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But also, as you said, there's a staff of people working around you. Around your channels. Well, yeah. Quite a few people manage Palion Styla, but there's also Olek, Leon, Lionek, and Bolo.
Speaker A
On one hand, these are the people who appear in your content, your close friends.
Speaker A
Yes, I understand, because you said that I also pay them for appearing, right? Okay. However, generally, these are people close to you who are also involved in your other, let's say, non-YouTube ventures. Not the shop, no, because the shop just has items with
Speaker A
their likeness, but I manage the shop, right? And they just focus mainly on the character, right? There's Leon, Olek, Bolo, Dave, Lonek, and they build their character when we record, right?
Speaker A
Just more like actors, right? I mean, they also have their own channels, actually. And when do you notice that you need to introduce a new character, or for example, that it's a good moment to bring someone new in, or I don't know,
Speaker A
because many characters cycle through, let's say, this Palionowo series or the S&P series. There are good characters here who are, like, in this crew with you, who are forming an increasingly larger team together with you, but there are also, for example, some
Speaker A
antagonists, right, who appear, let's say. Yeah, yeah. So, when do you more or less notice that, hey, this is a good moment to introduce a new positive person, or I don't know, this is a good moment to introduce a new, uh, a new
Speaker A
enemy, right? In Palionowo or Palion. You know, it actually depends, it's hard for me to define. Basically, I just feel it inside me when I have to do it now.
Speaker A
Okay. Just that, for example, something hasn't happened in a while. Well, for a long time on Palionowo there hasn't been, like, a bad guy, there hasn't been an antagonist. We were just filming videos, it was fun, and I think
Speaker A
it's a good time to do something story-driven right now, right? And not what we call one-shot videos, meaning there's just one story, one video based on one story, and the next one is totally different, unrelated to it. But
Speaker A
now we're going to make it, like, everything is connected, right? Okay. Exactly, because in the context of you saying that you don't plan the story very far ahead, let's say for Palionowo , I started wondering, right?
Speaker A
We do, I don't know, maybe a week ahead . Okay. That's how it works for us, that, well, it means we also do what's trendy abroad, obviously, like everyone else, it's just on the hype, but we also create our own stuff. For example, this
Speaker A
thing we're doing now, it doesn't exist abroad, so we're just doing it. Damn, so you still have to stay up to date with all these things, right? In the sense of what, let's say, the kids are hyped about.
Speaker A
Yes, yes. I observe, you know, those " six se" and so on, like it was back then. So you know, you have to take part in that too, right?
Speaker A
No, well, of course. And you know, if that is specifically your target group directly, then even more so, if you don't satisfy, let's say, that niche in Poland, right? Then someone else will do it, right? Someone who also does,
Speaker A
let's say, such a format. At least, at least I'll be a boomer late, right?
Speaker A
That's also true. Also true. It helps you a little bit. Here, here, respect. But are you thinking about changing the Palion style more from those episodes, like you said, one story, one episode, to a connected story, that you're
Speaker A
moving away from that format in favor of the other, or are you going to keep mixing it up? No, we're mixing, we're mixing. We're mixing it up, making a little story and then after the story it's chill, we just do those one-off
Speaker A
videos and make regular clips, you know , more playful, entertaining ones. And what was your record for the amount of footage recorded in, for example, I don't know, a single day? Like, in general, something where you think, damn, I really pushed myself here, I
Speaker A
recorded so many videos, some specific day, you definitely have something like that in your head. Maybe not a single day, but, you know, stockpiling for trips, right?
Speaker A
When I build up a stock for trips, for example for a week, and we start a week before, we have to record enough for two weeks, two weeks of videos in one week. Like a few dozen videos.
Speaker A
Because for those four channels, so, yeah. That probably means a record in one day is for sure, I don't know, 14, 15.
Speaker A
Oh damn. That's what I think. Holy crap man, when you leave the computer, your head must be square, right? Well, when I go outside, I don't know where I am. Man, that's crazy, it's incredible.
Speaker A
Yeah, in 7 days about 50 videos come out. Holy crap. No, a machine, no, something like that, damn.
Speaker A
And by the way, you know, sometimes you have to go to the construction site, sometimes you have to talk to dad about some things, then you have to go to Palion Style and have some meetings or something. Yeah, there's quite a lot of
Speaker A
it, right? I mean, it's definitely good that so many people close to you support you in all of this, because that surely clears your head, right? In a sense, yes.
Speaker A
Look at how much work you have. Well, that's practically mandatory, right? With the kind of operation you're running? If it weren't for the fact that there's Leon, Olek, Ljonek, Bolo, because Bolo for example also helps me create some maps, you know,
Speaker A
for games or something, so they help me a lot, they even help me manage the thumbnails. And just the fact that they're there.
Speaker A
And regarding your content, right, like the stuff you make, do you have a sense that you are actually shaping the childhood of these kids? I mean, how do you notice that, because surely, in part...
Speaker A
No, I just know, I simply know it, because in that way, because I don't know, when I go out as an adult to some, I don't know, bar or something, even 22-year-olds or 20- year-olds come up to me and say that I
Speaker A
made their childhood. And there are tons and tons of such people on the street who tell me that they used to watch me. Well, I’ve been recording for like 12 years now, and when they watched me 7 years ago, they were like
Speaker A
13, 14. That still fits, like, into that, into that content. No, this is already the next generation, you could say, growing up on Palion.
Speaker A
Yeah. I mean, it seems to me that now there are just new kids, simply put.
Speaker A
Well, yeah. Yeah, another generation, literally. There are literally even viewers who are like 5 years old. My cousins are 5 and they also watch me, so it’s like, even five-year-olds are watching. That is amazing. And kids who are, you know,
Speaker A
13, 14. Have you been invited, for example, to schools or, I don't know. Well, to schools. You know, I don't check my email or Instagram at all when someone writes to me, so it probably comes more to my business email or something, and
Speaker A
I think there are definitely some offers like that, but I don't see them because the people who handle that stuff tell me about them. Well, just now we got an invitation to come to Cancer Fighters, oh, to the kids, there are like 30 kids
Speaker A
there who watch me and they asked if I wanted to come. I was supposed to go now, but, well, I'm sick. I don't want to infect them, because that would be okay, tragic. So we will go there in
Speaker A
September with Leon and Alek. And tell me, have you ever thought about or planned, uh, a channel for, let's say, that older audience? Those kids who have grown up now? And, you know, I think it's more like, well,
Speaker A
GTA, GTA is there, but there, older people definitely watch me, right? No, I don't think a five-year-old is checking out this channel, but also not really, it's more, you know, 10 to 13, I feel like that's more the age range
Speaker A
now, maybe up to 15, up to 15 years old , when it comes to GTA V, right? The audience is older there, I can feel it.
Speaker A
Okay, but it's more, I don't know, I feel like in a few years, once I build that house, when, you know, I have such a beautiful place to record, maybe I'll sort out some vlogs with the crew or
Speaker A
something, to grow up with the viewers perhaps. K. Well, we'll probably be more in our graves by the time you're talking about. Grandpas as viewers, right? Well, let me put it this way, it will already be but you know, those vlogs would
Speaker A
definitely be for older people, in a sense. No, I doubt there would be any swearing, just just some normal vlogs, simply.
Speaker A
Okay, but would you move away from making Palion content? Like totally, or do you not think you'll be doing that?
Speaker A
Honestly, it's hard for me to say how long I'll be doing this. I really have no idea, because well, like you say, you're already building a house, so you're ticking off life goals, from what I hear, so like
Speaker A
there will be kids 'rooms in the house. Okay, okay, but I'm not thinking about kids yet. I think more like when I'm, I don't know, 30 or something like that.
Speaker A
That's not long from now. Yeah, so I think it will pass by quite quickly, and I'll still be saying it's not the right moment yet. But I do want to have kids in general. Yeah, I would like to have
Speaker A
how many? Two, man. A boy and a girl. Okay. Damn, holy crap. No, that's the best.
Speaker A
What, what were you talking about with Palion? Yeah, we were talking about how Palion wants to have kids. Well, and generally, my parents have two kids, which is me and my sister, and we are twins. But I didn't know that you guys
Speaker A
were twins. Yeah, we are fraternal twins, that's why we don't look alike. Oh wow, that's interesting. You just gave me a fun fact? I didn't even know that.
Speaker A
And your sister is also a boomer now. Yeah. Yeah. Naturally, right. If the brother is, then the sister is too. No, not me, not yet. Not yet, because I record for kids, I still feel that I'm not doing too bad yet.
Speaker A
I have to say, I couldn't just walk past without asking if you're happy with your food products, your snacks, because I have to say, I don't know the statistics or the backstage details, but it seems to me that it's quite a
Speaker A
success. When it comes to those drinks. I would say so too, yeah. No, I'm only not happy with the drink. Prickly pear.
Speaker A
Okay, but that's because it's such a, you know, rare flavor, right? Like, I personally like it, but not everyone, for example, enjoyed that flavor.
Speaker A
Generally, all the products I've made are very well-rated. It's just that one drink where there are people who love it and people who hate it. Like, no, I, for example, had an issue with that prickly pear because since apple juice
Speaker A
is added, I really tasted the apple. For instance, I didn't taste the prickly pear that much, you know?
Speaker A
Because of the apple juice used in it, right? Mhm. Wait, hold on. Now those new salted chips are out.
Speaker A
That's true. I haven't tested them yet, haven't tested them yet. They're, they're good. And did you test the ketchup ones?
Speaker A
Yes, yes, I tested them. They were better than, they were better than the Bambi ones. Probably less than a hundred. I think that's what I said. Or I said that they are kind of sweet. They are kind of sweet.
Speaker A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Very possible. I mean , generally, I'll tell you that the manufacturer of these chips is the one who makes Tygryski.
Speaker A
Oh, that's interesting. Those corn ones. Yeah, for kids, it's just that an external company makes them for you. You order it, and okay, they let you into the process. Damn, tell me, I don't know how much you can
Speaker A
talk about this, but how hard is it to get your product into Żabka stores or those various shops where your items are available now?
Speaker A
You know, I don't want to talk about that right now. Okay, but just I mean, was it a complicated process, right? Like well, there were a lot, a lot of conversations and so on. It is, it is a
Speaker A
bit complicated, you know? It's not the simplest thing. Okay, so a question. Besides drinks, chips, and of course ice cream, are you planning any other products, or do you want to stick to those three?
Speaker A
Well, no, I would like to, I definitely want to make a new drink flavor. That's what I'm still waiting for. But that Hey, a lot of viewers have been asking about snack bars. Do you have any plans to make any bars?
Speaker A
No, not bars. I don't even have bars on my mind right now. Well, those those chips were received very well. The ice cream was received very well, the drinks too, so so that's where my focus is for now, I think.
Speaker A
Now, look, you also have a deal with Danio and, man, you're practically on the doors of every Biedronka.
Speaker A
I haven't even seen that because I don't leave the house. Well, you are you are on the doors at Biedronka, because with Danio you're on the Danio packaging, but also on those sliding doors.
Speaker A
Yeah. I have to check that out. I haven't seen it. Seriously, but but I gave you some news. I have to go to Biedronka because I didn't know.
Speaker A
So, generally, there will be a new flavor of Palion snacks. One more. Yeah , I'd like to do that. I don't know when it'll be, but I want it to happen this year.
Speaker A
Oh, nice. Well, because around the same time you were doing food products, you were also on a concert tour and releasing tons of songs. And how did that music stuff work out for you?
Speaker A
With music, you mean like tell you from the beginning? Sure, yeah. Dude, go ahead.
Speaker A
I'm super curious, you know? How did it happen that Paweł started rapping and singing?
Speaker A
It started with the fact that I'm not musical at all. Generally, that's how it was at the beginning. I just had my buddy Neon, a friend, and Szczypson. I was hanging out with them in the beginning when we were 15, 16 years old
Speaker A
; those were the early days of YouTube. And they they are very musical, in the sense that they went to music school and so on. And they just got me hyped on it when they said, "Let's go record
Speaker A
a song." I mean, YouTubers weren't really recording songs or anything like that back then. God, thinking back, I don't know if anyone was releasing them then, I don't even know what year that was. "We're already 100,000 strong." I
Speaker A
don't know if you remember that song. God, there was something. You guys were , like, dancing like crazy there. Wait, wait, that I...
Speaker A
Yeah, that's a mega old song, ultra old . That was 8 years ago. I don't know if YouTubers were really releasing songs back then. Hey, that was the first song where we recorded something like that.
Speaker A
And then I said, no, it's fun to do, there was like a super fun vibe there, right? We recorded that music video ourselves with a camera, someone just filmed us, we set everything up ourselves, you know, just kids who
Speaker A
wanted to make a song and a music video , and we did it. And then we kept doing it, and doing it, until suddenly I don't know, I recorded, but, I found a golden method, because nobody was doing
Speaker A
that yet. Mhm. That kind of promotion, where you put trailers in your videos and so on.
Speaker A
Nobody was doing that. I was the first to do it, when it came to such intense promotion, that you know, you throw these trailers into every video and so on, driving the song like that and that really pushed that tune for
Speaker A
you. And I don't know, it just took off from nowhere so suddenly that the song did maybe 850,000 in a day.
Speaker A
Oh wow, but but the first one. And that was the first hit that surprised me, that I didn't know what was going on and it was super strange to me, that I didn't know why, or where it came from, you
Speaker A
know? Actually, then later, but suddenly Green came along a year later. Yes. Well, and Green actually did worse at first. It did worse than Alal at the beginning.
Speaker A
Oh wow. And this m Yes, it just went viral. Well, because of Multi and so on , and then it all went viral and Multi was really biting at you with those songs.
Speaker A
And what about you? Very well. Okay. It just worked to it only helped. It only helped. No, not that. I also, you know, I don't give a damn if someone says I can't sing or something. I'm not a musician. So what
Speaker A
does it matter to me if someone says I can't sing. Okay. The song was just as a fan, as fun in all of this, just as simply a desire, I don't even know, to tour or do a concert tour.
Speaker A
No, touring wasn't even on my mind back then. I wasn't making anything from those songs. I was spending more on those songs than I was earning. Even when they were doing such did you have demonetization on them?
Speaker A
No, the RPMs were low on those songs back then. Ah okay, that way. So low RPMs, and I was spending a lot on the clips. No, I was spending on clothes there. Well, well no, I already said that somewhere sometime, I think,
Speaker A
you know, back then RPMs were weak, right? For sure. I mean, it's also worth noting for the viewers that generally YouTube has changed a lot over these four or five years, and now the rates are much higher than they
Speaker A
were a few years ago. Well, Green earned 168,000 PLN. Oh man, dang, that's 30 million views.
Speaker A
We're talking about Green. Well yes, yes. I think if you made a hit now with 30 million views, but now it's now it's hard. I mean, it seems to me like it’s cooler on Spotify, right? More than on YouTube.
Speaker A
Now, yes, yes. Well, you know, I don't have Spotify, because young people listen, and young people only like to listen to music videos on YouTube.
Speaker A
Oh damn, you can't really make a song anymore that gets, I don't know, over a million in a day. It’s hard, very hard, more so over time.
Speaker A
Okay, so these songs perform totally differently than the first hits you released did. Yes, yes. Different, different, it somehow works differently. Now I didn't do anything. Back then I just posted a clip in my videos, said something about
Speaker A
the song, and it just took off on its own, right? And I didn't have that many more views back then, not like mega more. It just had some kind of hype, I don't know why.
Speaker A
In general, which song out of all the ones you've made is your favorite? My favorite.
Speaker A
And why? Well, I won't talk about the old ones, because I’d say that’s more out of sentiment, so I won't talk about the old ones. From the more popular ones, maybe I'll say, from those people know better than, well, because for sure I
Speaker A
like some from the new album more. Those I am satisfied with. Well, that's Colors. I don't know if you know which one that is. It's that song with my girlfriend, with Maja. "Hate" always stuck with me, "Green Three", maybe "
Speaker A
Green Four". Those kinds of songs from the more popular ones that stuck with me the most.
Speaker A
Okay, in that way. And you say, you first mentioned the song "Colors" because it’s with Maja, or because, I don't know, something else stuck in your memory while making that song?
Speaker A
Well, because it's for Maja and because that song just has a certain vibe, that I like it, because you released the album Creative Mode.
Speaker A
Yes, that was the first album. The second album was the album Colors. Colors, exactly, so how do you look at your first album versus this last one, which you had a concert tour around, and in general, how big of a difference
Speaker A
do you think there is, right? Just how you look at it with your own eyes, let's say.
Speaker A
I mean, in what aspect? Generally, I mean, what differences do you perceive between the first one, how you realized it, how you made it, from, I don't know, even the backstage of recording these songs, or has something changed compared to that first album
Speaker A
and this last one? Honestly, not, not too much actually. So the process was turbo similar.
Speaker A
Yeah, I'll tell you, I touched a bit on your music and I'd like to dive into that, get a better grasp of it, because , well, you were the guy who started making music just for fun, right? Like,
Speaker A
at the beginning it was totally a hobby , you know, just making a track with friends for a laugh, then it turned into you releasing an album, then a second one, and you even started touring. Man, what's it like with the
Speaker A
touring? Did anything about it surprise you? Because it's not actually as simple as it sounds, is it? That it's more...
Speaker A
No, no, no, it's not easy to organize, because we manage it ourselves, and we always have someone helping us out.
Speaker A
Okay. There's a lot of work and stress involved, but fortunately, we manage to pull off these concerts. So what? Well, I definitely had a lot of stress before the concerts at the beginning. It was probably for the first two, uh...
Speaker A
Yeah, those first few shows, literally the first and second concert, I was stressed because it was something new for me, having to go out to people, talk to them live, with so many eyes on me, trying not to say something stupid.
Speaker A
But then, later, I felt like I was just recording a video live or doing a livestream, saying the same things as in the videos and singing the songs with the audience, right? How, how do you feel when, for instance, at those
Speaker A
concerts you see that, I don't know, the first rows are clearly young viewers, kids, and in the back, there's this army of parents standing.
Speaker A
Parents, but actually, contrary to appearances, a ton of parents have fun. I mean, they jump around, laugh with the kids.
Speaker A
Yes, a lot, very many. Well, no, it's not like that. Sure, you know there are parents who just stand there like statues. Obviously, you find those kinds, but a lot of people are actually singing and dancing too, right? Because
Speaker A
they know these songs through their kids, right? Like, I don't know, I just ...
Speaker A
They probably play them on repeat at home, right? Yes. And that's why they know them and also had a great time at those concerts .
Speaker A
Are you planning more albums, or was " Colors" the last one? For now, I'm not planning another album . It's super, super exhausting. I mean, I really love doing it, but the backlog is the most tiring part, because that
Speaker A
album, "Colors," was the most exhausting one. I had to record a 21- day backlog, and we made that album in about two and a half months. Yes.
Speaker A
You're talking about the backlog of episodes for those daily channels you have. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A
Okay. And it was just, well, it was just too much. At that point I said, no, there's too much of this, but I managed. That's why I don't want an album for now; I prefer just making singles. Like this
Speaker A
one we're doing now, that's it. It's a Minecraft song. I'm going to want to do a green one next.
Speaker A
There will be another green one. Another green one. We have official confirmation. It’ll happen, it’ll happen. The last one was two years ago, and I’m going to want to do green five.
Speaker A
Okay, but I'll have to think about how to tackle it in an interesting way. I mean , so it isn't just the same thing.
Speaker A
I'll come up with something. But generally, singles. And do you generally use a ghostwriter, for example, or do you try to write these songs yourself now? No, a ghostwriter helps me too. It’s not like I am No, because that’s the biggest
Speaker A
difficulty, right? I mean, in creating a song, the biggest difficulty is writing a coherent and good-sounding text.
Speaker A
Yes, yes. I, I, I try, you know, to help. I come up with concepts about what it’s about. Well, write, I write together with them, it’s not like, you know, they write a song for me and I’m not there, I write with
Speaker A
them. But they put it together so that it, you know, they are professionals, they do this for a living.
Speaker A
Well yeah, yeah. And I am not a musician. Well and that you also emphasize this every time, that you are not to everyone. So I really like that.
Speaker A
It’s just a cool passion to have. And now all the YouTubers are doing it. But at least I started doing it back when it wasn't that trendy yet.
Speaker A
And actually, because a lot of people, since you, as you say, started doing it when it wasn't trendy, accused you of sampling songs. Meaning that your songs were samples of other songs. They really gave you a hard time. Yes. So
Speaker A
the green one was from Morgenshtern, but it was a deliberate move, and in the description from the beginning it was written that it was an inspiration from Morgenshtern, and I know that on Multi's live stream, you know, viewers
Speaker A
started telling him that I only wrote that just now, but I started writing it right away, like before publication. I already wrote in the description that it was inspired by Morgenshtern's music video and song. That was written there
Speaker A
from the beginning, because now this new track, the Minecraft one you're releasing, it’s also sampled, right? I mean, that’s also from the song Hero, I think.
Speaker A
Hero Wait, no, I don't remember, God, what the name of that track is, but I mean the new one, the Minecraft one, that's coming out.
Speaker A
I mean, it's not, it's not a sample, it’s a song made from scratch, like completely. It’s not like when I come in and we make a song, I always give an example of the style I want the song to
Speaker A
have. Okay. And it's a song made in the style of Imagine Dragons, basically. Oh, okay. In the style of Imagine Dragons, because I heard something similar once, and I was actually going to ask you about that. So, in general,
Speaker A
are you cool with using samples? Because you know, more and more people are starting to sample songs, like going back to those old sounds, remixing them in different ways and yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Speaker A
So you’re always cool with that? Like , it didn't backfire on you, for instance when you had...because there was a wave of criticism against you, didn't it drop off at the moment when people were commenting, saying: "Oh, this track is from that guy," right?
Speaker A
And well, it could have belittled you a bit with those songs you were putting out, right?
Speaker A
I mean, yeah, it was like that, there was that hate. It's also, you know, ultra easy to hate on me because I can't reply. I record for younger viewers and I can't be controversial. I can't be.
Speaker A
And did you impose that on yourself, that you can't be controversial, or how is it?
Speaker A
Yes, I imposed it on myself. And what would happen if you just replied? Like, if you did answer back or were more controversial? I mean, I feel like it would be a bad example for young people, simply. And a huge number of
Speaker A
those young viewers, uh... I mean, I know that thanks to me, a lot of those young viewers got out of, maybe not even depression, I don't know if anyone had depression, but they were being bullied or something, and I show
Speaker A
them, I don't know, someone insults me, and I just don't give a damn at all.
Speaker A
No. Yeah, there was so much of that hate already, it's just boring now. Not even that, I haven't said a word the whole time, because what for? Yeah, just like you say, by not replying, you just have to come to terms with it; it's the
Speaker A
internet, and a lot of people just have weak, weak brains for it, a weak mentality, a lot of YouTubers are like that.
Speaker A
So by not replying, it just rolled off you and you just kept going like it didn't...
Speaker A
Well, I just do my own thing, you know, I couldn't care less what people say about me.
Speaker A
Okay, so you just have your own approach to what you do, your own point of view, and the fact that others comment on it, even unfavorably, doesn't really matter. Yes. So that doesn't really work. It doesn't affect you.
Speaker A
No, no. You also said a moment ago that, you know, you wouldn't want to approach certain things in a controversial way.
Speaker A
However, in the Minecraft content you work in, the one for young people, there seems to be a problem now with this plague of somewhat inappropriate content for kids in Minecraft. I mean, I don't know if you know what I'm
Speaker A
talking about, where these thumbnails are, let's say, very suggestive or have , in quotes, drastic elements. I don't know if you've encountered that in kids ' content.
Speaker A
What do you think about it in general? You know, you don't really talk about this on your channel or your social media, but since we're talking now, well there is some space for that here. What do you think about it? Because you are
Speaker A
also in that bubble for the youngest audience, whom you reach with companies . And when you see something like that, and you're thrown into the same bag as people who, you know, don't care about the quality of their content, and then
Speaker A
they lump you in with them, how does that make you feel and what do you think about it? I mean, I generally have the impression that we, as Palionowo, don't make such heavily brain-rotting content. Okay. And we don't do any invasive things for
Speaker A
young people. That’s my opinion. Yes, we keep an eye on ourselves and we try not to show anything that I wouldn't want my own child to watch, for example. I mean, if I know what I'm recording, I would allow my own child
Speaker A
to watch me. Meaning, I wouldn't be afraid about any content shown. If you had a baby, you wouldn't be afraid to show them your videos; that's how I look at it. Yeah.
Speaker A
Okay. And what do you think about the people who do that? Because it does, you know, affect the whole thing a bit, right? Everyone who works in this field , right? It is well, it's obviously bad, but, well,
Speaker A
there's nothing you can really do about it. We're recording the same games, we're recording for kids, and you know, we get lumped into the same bag, like this one is just as stupid as that one because they're doing the same thing.
Speaker A
Yeah, that's how it looks when you're looking at it from above. I mean, that's how it looks to people who haven't really dug deeper, right?
Speaker A
People who approach it based on, you know, what they've heard or seen somewhere, twisted it, repeated it, and that's how it turns out. Yeah.
Speaker A
Well, it's the internet, you can't do anything about it. It's always going to be like that. You just have to do your own thing here. There's no point in even overthinking it, because once you start, it just turns into a vicious
Speaker A
cycle. Okay. Have you ever had any material or a specific situation in your long career that made you have a deeper reflection on recording or creating content? Damn, you know what, I can't really tell you right now, but back in
Speaker A
the day on YouTube, even a few years ago, when we were making Palion content , back when I was like 17 or 18, people didn't watch what they said as closely as they do now.
Speaker A
We were recording family-friendly stuff back then, but we didn't hold our tongues nearly as much. I mean, there were no swear words, but there were certain things—I don't know how to put it. It was definitely worse than it
Speaker A
is now. If we recorded stuff like that today, someone would definitely point it out, right?
Speaker A
Okay. Like, there could be issues with it now. I see. Not necessarily "issues," but just more ...distasteful, you know?
Speaker A
Okay, I understand. Because, like I said, the internet a few years ago was completely different from what it is now, right? In the sense that it's constantly changing, isn't it? You said it well a moment ago, that it's hard to
Speaker A
look at it that way because the platform is always changing, right? The platform, the flow of people, the trends, and everything else.
Speaker A
Everyone's mentality is completely different now. Do you follow other creators, or do you not follow anyone at all? Like, I follow everything.
Speaker A
Oh, okay. That's how it is. I know everything that's going on with everyone. You said a moment ago, you know, regarding yourself, let's say, you don't follow things that much–I mean, like for example when you had that criticism directed at you, when you got
Speaker A
that hate, you didn't really look at it that much, you just did your own thing –but I actually meant, you know, other profiles, other channels, and in general...
Speaker A
Well, I don't follow everything, everything. I just watch how the internet is changing, right? What are your conclusions regarding these changes, meaning these changes in the sense of what exactly?
Speaker A
Well, generally you said the internet is changing, right? Well, yeah. I mean, yeah, I can't tell you exactly what's changing, but I do know that you have to observe to keep being where I am, you know, you need to, well, you
Speaker A
have to watch all of Polish YouTube, watch foreign YouTube, you have to come up with your own stuff , you have to change something all the time. You know, it's hard, I know it's generally easy to get noticed. I mean,
Speaker A
it's even hard to get noticed now, but generally it's easier to get noticed, but it's worse just to maintain it.
Speaker A
Well, I've been maintaining it for a very long time. Well, yes. Because, you know, this is your, this is really the core of your business, right? Your channel, after all, is your company, which you built on the foundations of your YouTube
Speaker A
channel, right? On your online activity . Well yes, that's how you have to nurture it.
Speaker A
Oh, nice word. You're very welcome. Okay. Look, you have a lot of young people. I think a lot of young people will watch our conversation and there are definitely people who are thinking about, for example, following in your
Speaker A
footsteps or the footsteps of other internet creators, being an internet creator. As an experienced person, what advice would you give? Or if you were to start over on YouTube, start over online, what would you do, how would you go about it? I mean, first of all,
Speaker A
you have to do it, uh, non-stop, without a break. In the sense that you have to activate, maybe not workaholism , I don't want to say that, but you have to activate a mode, that, well, you have to do it non-stop,
Speaker A
regularly. Oh, well, consistency, simply. Consistency is the most important thing, meaning the systematic approach must be powerful, such that you can't allow yourself any, I mean, you can't take those breaks, because that just kills the channel in general. Above all, you
Speaker A
can't worry about the hate, because that's the worst thing you can do, when you look at those comments and you look and you're, damn, sad or you just lose the desire to keep going. You can't dwell on your reach dropping, or feel
Speaker A
bad that you're doing worse, or that no one is watching. You just have to keep doing it. I mean, generally, if someone only wants to do this to make money, I doubt they'll succeed, because then you're just looking at charts and stats
Speaker A
, and those stats will just crush you inside, because there’s always a moment when things get worse, and that's usually when people quit. It’s important to have that passion and not just think about monetizing everything right away.
Speaker A
Yeah, that makes a big, big difference in my opinion. Okay, sure, you have to look at the stats, because you sometimes need to approach things analytically to see what needs changing, but it’s not 100%about that . You just need to have that passion,
Speaker A
because without it, I think the stats are a secondary matter. I’ve just had this thing since I was a kid, where I always wanted to be a YouTuber, watching Rezi or other creators back in the day, and now
Speaker A
it’s actually happening, you know? So, you just went from being a viewer to a creator.
Speaker A
Yes. There’s still that younger Paweł inside me who just loved recording, you know. For sure. Well, I’ll tell you, I have the same thing, and whenever people ask me, I always give that example—I was a viewer of those YouTubers too, you
Speaker A
know, some of them don't record anymore , but some still do, and you know, everyone had that desire to be like them; you just had to start doing it, right? It was always a dream. For sure, many viewers have that same feeling now
Speaker A
, just like you and I did. Definitely. You know, they might think of me, of you, of all sorts of people they watch, and they’re maybe at the age we were when we started, and they think, "Wow, I’d like to create
Speaker A
online too, I’d like to record." In my opinion, I’m echoing your words here—all you need is that passion and to be systematic and regular, because over time, if it's meant to come, it will come anyway, and just because
Speaker A
someone can't do something at the start doesn't disqualify them after, say, a year of consistent uploading. If someone compared, it doesn't matter if you're weak at the start, for example, if you were posting videos systematically for a year, then surely
Speaker A
after that year, after that year you will definitely see progress, like 100%. No, I'd be surprised if someone, you know, but you have to, like, you'll see progress if you're not just uploading the same thing, right? You have to
Speaker A
yes, you definitely have to experiment. That's for sure. You have to experiment , you have to try testing different formats, different if you want to, you can. Yeah no, for sure, yes. That's true from that perspective. And actually, a lot,
Speaker A
a lot of viewers generally on the, god, on the community tab were asking questions for you regarding what you would be doing if you weren't active on the internet, not on YouTube. Have you ever thought about that at all? What,
Speaker A
what else, like, could your life have turned out differently? Yes, yes. Well, I bet I would have gotten into my dad's company.
Speaker A
Okay. Yacht production, basically, and I would be helping him with that. So, so, basically, you had peace of mind about that somewhere. And well, if not the company, then I would have just found something else. I would definitely have found something. I'm
Speaker A
just, I know I'm hardworking, committed like okay when I do something, so I know, I know I would have found something for sure.
Speaker A
Just like in the episode with Newen, in which you talked about those yachts, just referring to what you just said, there was also a very important answer that we have to touch upon, because the viewers wouldn't give me peace,
Speaker A
which is because I know what what's the deal with Wojtek. Well, with Wojtek, I've also answered, like, on the internet, but, well, we just went in two different directions. We don't, we're not, like, fighting. If we met, we would shake hands, and, you know,
Speaker A
Wojtek has his, his Wojanowice, his thing. I also wanted to create something of my own, to have, you know, my own thing, basically. Not be under someone, but have my own thing. I mean, both, both, it seems to me, from the
Speaker A
way I look at it from the side, if I can interrupt, it seems to me that you both have the character of leaders, so at the moment when, you know, he has Wojanowice, and you were at Wojanowice, and that, you know, it couldn't really
Speaker A
work out in that regard, since you both have the character of leaders, right? like you have Palion, now Palionowo, he has Wojanowice and it’s like, you know, this is it, right, that deep down you both are let's say the leader in
Speaker A
those projects and that is what...that it's hard to have two leaders in a project, right, of this type, like an SMP.
Speaker A
but no, I have mega, mega, mega good memories. Okay, so there isn’t...people are probably misinterpreting your parting ways, thinking there's some beef, some tension, a conflict. There’s nothing like that between you.
Speaker A
No, no, no, because it’s worth noting here, because there are just so many questions, I’m telling you, 90%of the questions for you are about what your relationship with Wojan is like.
Speaker A
Actually no, that 90%we left somewhere behind there is no relationship. There is no relationship now because we don’t talk, like, because he just, you know, has his own work. And I have mine, simply and we also live very far apart and
Speaker A
that contact just faded away. Okay. And just to wrap this up nicely and not leave any doubts for the viewer : if any contact were to appear between you, or if you crossed paths somewhere or something–I don't know, if the
Speaker A
stars suddenly aligned so that it turned out you were both willing to make a joint video–would that happen?
Speaker A
I mean, would it take place, or is it rather difficult? a video? I don’t know, no, I don’t know if there would be a video, because that would be giving hope that we would Oh, okay, in that way
Speaker A
be recording, recording together again. Interesting, actually. Well, interesting, actually. Yeah. But if we met, we would probably talk normally, because, you know, normally.
Speaker A
No, well, it was good to clear that up, you know, because generally, like I said, the number of theories that arose around this, as I was thinking about what we would talk about today and it’s it’s it’s not surprising,
Speaker A
because we recorded, you know, for 5 years together and we created a piece of history something something great, simply, really. You were like neighbors like Pete and Repeat, like Pat and Mat, basically. You know what I mean?
Speaker A
Well, yeah, that’s how it was. That’s how it was. We created childhoods for a lot, a lot of kids, simply, and for sure, you know , they remember it.
Speaker A
Yeah, that's right. That’s why I also think there is this curiosity regarding that, you know, and also it seemed very inflated and controversial to people, I think, because in the end you were also releasing similar products, for example
Speaker A
. No, I mean, it's just that you know, you have drinks and he has drinks, and you have ice cream and he has ice cream , and and well, because of that, you have stores it's just everything is everything is
Speaker A
the same. Yeah. Yeah, literally everything is very close and similar. Like, there's Wojan-ville, Palion-ville. Exactly, that's it, right? That's why I think people built this whole weird atmosphere around it, you know? That's how it seems to me, that it could have
Speaker A
turned out that way because of that. Well, I know, I know how they could have looked at it, right?
Speaker A
But it's good, it's good to hear that things are cool, right? I mean, that it's cool. There was too much good stuff, too many cool years.
Speaker A
Exactly, because let's leave Wojan aside for a moment, I think you also collaborated with other YouTubers, with other big YouTubers. Here I mean the guys.
Speaker A
I very rarely in general, I very rarely collaborate with YouTubers. Exactly, exactly. That's why it's so puzzling to me that you collaborated with the Czajnik crew, with the friends.
Speaker A
Yeah, yeah. I mean, we are still in touch. Overall, they are all super cool there.
Speaker A
Okay. how I met them privately, I lived nearby, and I actually don't remember how it happened, probably from a song, that they asked me if I didn't want to record a song with them. We recorded a song for me and for them, and then
Speaker A
somehow we just kept in touch. Sometimes they invite me for a recording, they invited me to a party recently.
Speaker A
Oh, nice. Yeah, maybe you know, it's not like we see each other every week.
Speaker A
Mhm. But rather once a month, once every two months. It's something like that. But that but you're getting out of your bubble a bit, you're opening up a bit to these other creators.
Speaker A
Yeah. Well, yeah, I guess so. But rarely, I mean this is an exception, actually I was curious because it was so sudden, right? It was so sudden, this cross, these these songs from you guys and it was a surprise for many,
Speaker A
not at all surprising. Yes, it was a surprise out of nowhere, really. And so it just happened randomly.
Speaker A
Suddenly a message appeared and they, because they were making albums, and I, and they say: "No, let's make a song together, so we'll make a song together." And we did, and and from that moment, in those clips, we just talked, when we were making the
Speaker A
song, you know, we talked together, they liked me, I liked them, and it's just cool with them.
Speaker A
You also caught a vibe with Szymek back in the day, I think. With Szymek, but Szymek from Minecraft.
Speaker A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh no, Szymek, Szymek is a ten out of ten. You even had a server, right? Zielone MC.
Speaker A
Yes, I did. But no, it didn't, it didn't work out. It didn't work out. I mean, I think it wasn't the server.
Speaker A
It's hard to make it work for my viewers. What exactly went wrong there? Well, I also didn't have, I didn't really have the time, I had more important things than the server. It was hard to make it take off. I had hope, but it didn't
Speaker A
work out. The plan for this server was really big . I saw, you know, there were a few hundred people at the peak. Generally, I think there was even a concert organized at the start. At that at the start there were a few thousand
Speaker A
at the concert. Oh, even that. You're actually right. But that was just the concert, right?
Speaker A
And then everyone left. Well, you see, by the way, when we're recording this conversation, there was an announcement from Wojan that he closed his server, Wojan MC, and...
Speaker A
I didn't even know that. See? And I also think it was a similar case regarding the advertising and all that.
Speaker A
Well, we have, we have the same viewers . That was definitely it, transferring the audience to a server in Minecraft. And that's why the question is, how do you think about it now after some time, because I think
Speaker A
you closed your server much earlier, like... A long time ago, I think it seems to me like over half a year ago. Because generally technically, for example, from what I saw, the server was very well made, I mean, the guys from
Speaker A
Coxcraft, Doka, because they... those are people who really know their stuff, right? I tried to promote it, but they saw it themselves. I mean, they saw themselves that it wasn't that I didn't want to promote it, because I
Speaker A
did promote it, but they saw that the advertising did little to get people to join.
Speaker A
Okay. So, your audience plays more single player, or what are your thoughts? That’s what I think, that’s what I think. I mean, maybe, damn, I don't know. To be honest, at first I thought, no way, they will play
Speaker A
. I don't know, we'll see. Sometimes it's like that. I just think such a server isn't for my viewers and that's it.
Speaker A
Okay. And where did the decision to create a server even come from? Damn, I've wanted to have a server since I was a kid, back when I played Minecraft. I played on Jasiu. Are you sure you played?
Speaker A
Of course I played. I'm telling you, no, I wanted to have a server. I wanted to have a server, so I wanted to make one. And you know, I was in touch with Szymek, we like each other, in that sense. You know, we
Speaker A
crossed paths a few times in real life too, and we liked each other. And I asked him if he would want to help me make it. So that's how we did it. And generally, you know, the people there are super competent, Szymek knows
Speaker A
a lot about it. I mean, he’s been running Coxcraft for many, many years, right?
Speaker A
Successfully. Well, it didn’t work out. It is what it is. Because simply did you do any research on other Minecraft servers, like which ones are the most popular right now?
Speaker A
No, you know what, I honestly didn't really get into that. I don't know these servers that well.
Speaker A
Okay, because I don't even have the time to get into it, but I know there’s anarchy, and there’s the second one, rapy, that there's rapy, like, there are those two, see, I'm even forgetting those two servers, where there are the
Speaker A
tops in terms of players. But I don't know anything about it, you just don't get into those communities, I mean, as I hear, you don't follow the guys from anarchy or the guys from rapy at all.
Speaker A
No, I mean, I know there's Dexis, there's Tobias, there's Peter, and there are a lot, a lot of them. I know they're there, but no, I don't follow them. Yeah, probably the same as they don't follow me. The same thing.
Speaker A
Okay, that way. Because honestly, I don't know, it's very possible, but it's interesting, right, that we all ultimately record Minecraft, right? Yes.
Speaker A
Or around this game, you could say. Around Minecraft. And are those completely different communities or subgroups created?
Speaker A
Oh, totally. It's totally different. I definitely think they have older viewers. I also bet that I think that might be the case. I think that might be the case. You know, they also aren't that family-friendly, I feel, in all of this. Meaning that it's
Speaker A
just they don't swear. I just feel like a teenager is more likely to watch that .
Speaker A
More likely. So it's totally something else. Okay. I'll say this, Pawel, I wanted to thank you very much. It was a really good conversation with you. I don't know, we have everything.
Speaker A
Well, I think that Oh, rapid-fire questions. Oh right, they are written in the script here. Rapid-fire questions. Yeah , it's from the viewers. Yes, it's the viewer segment. Well, we can do it. I thought, and I’m saying, let's just
Speaker A
skip it, really. Let's do it. Since we’ve been here so long, let's just do it, right? Well viewers, viewers, you asked so many different questions, so this quick-fire segment is a collection of your most random questions into, let's
Speaker A
say, one, in quotation marks, segment, because you asked, for example—this was your question for Pawel, you could ask about anything—you asked if Pawel puts the cereal or the milk in first?
Speaker A
Well. Cereal. But honestly, I eat it differently, but that's because I like the cereal not to be soaked, and when I’m eating, when I pour—I mean, when I put the cereal in and then add milk, I have to eat those flakes right
Speaker A
away. And sometimes I just put the milk in first and pour the cereal, eat that, pour more cereal, eat that, and it's just, you know, a milk saga.
Speaker A
Okay. Well, I think now everyone who does it differently will be a bit I wonder how others do it. Actually, no . I think they’ll be unhappy. So, the next question then. Kebab or pizza?
Speaker A
I like kebab, but pizza. Okay. Well, pizza in that sense. I feel like if only kebab or pizza could remain in the world, it would be pizza.
Speaker A
In that, in that way. Well, I’ll tell you, I’d choose pizza too. That actually...Dogs or cats.
Speaker A
More common. Dogs or cats? That’s the question. Those were the quick-fire ones. Yeah. So, what am I supposed to choose? I have both a dog and a cat. How to choose? I don’t know. That would be an insult to my pets.
Speaker A
Exactly. Must Okay, I’d say more like what I’d want to have right now. Like, what I could have is a cat, because a dog is just more work.
Speaker A
You have to take it out. Yeah. A dog is like a child. You have to go out with the dog, care for it more than a cat.
Speaker A
A cat, a cat can be more multifaceted in the sense that, you know, it can be rude too. Sometimes it can be so spiteful.
Speaker A
I know, I know, I know that, but I just think a cat is less work than a dog, it seems to me. You just, you know, change the cat's litter, feed it, play with it , and that’s basically it, right?
Speaker A
And to keep the balance, what do you think about the remixes of your songs by the Gjon channel?
Speaker A
Hey, okay, that’s an abstraction for me. We’re not talking about dogs and cats anymore, suddenly that’s a bombshell. Overall, I totally don't care, but on the other hand, you know, looking at either the parents or the kids who click on this song, it's just
Speaker A
ultra wrong in my opinion. For me, well, I also wanted to say that it's concerning. That's true, looking at it, that it should, it shouldn't be there.
Speaker A
I mean, you know, for me it might be funny, for an older person it might be funny, but just, you know, when a kid clicks because they think it's my song, since there's the same thumbnail and everything, and then hears all those curses and
Speaker A
those nasty words, or a parent enters and, you know, a boomer parent doesn't realize it's not me, well then, you know, that's what's wrong.
Speaker A
Have you ever had someone ask you in real life about this channel, for example, and about these songs?
Speaker A
Not like you, no, but they did say something about, about, about it. I won't say it out loud because I'm family friendly.
Speaker A
Oh damn. Okay. But, well, yeah, definitely, of course. Were you in shock when you saw it for the first time? Were you like: "Oh damn well because you got stressed." Well, I was, I was, I was. I mean, no, not stressed, no. It's
Speaker A
just, you know, someone made a parody. I was thinking more about those, you know, parents and kids. No consequences.
Speaker A
Well, what's that to me? It's on the internet. So what? I mean, no, exactly that, you know, that someone would mistake it, right? I mean, from that angle, that someone Well, yes. Exactly. Yes. Well, just that in that context, consequences, I
Speaker A
mean that's what I meant. I mean, will it bounce back? How could it bounce back? Just in some small niche of parents or kids who would get into it.
Speaker A
That is just wrong. Okay. Damn, a lot, but it's just not funny, and it shouldn't be there. Well no, because it really resonated today that you generally pay attention to the target reception of your stuff among those kids.
Speaker A
Well, yes. Yes, that, that this is also a surprise to me a bit, because I thought that, that somewhere it wasn't at such a level, I mean for you, I mean, that you don't have, you don't have that much of, that
Speaker A
you, you know, like you said, that you watch yourself, that you pay attention to it somewhere, that you look at what, what you're actually putting out, what those kids are watching from you.
Speaker A
That's a surprise to me. You're actually the first Minecraft kids ' channel that I'm talking to. Usually, I talk to people who make content specifically for teenagers, so this is very interesting, right? Well, you know, I have to be
Speaker A
careful about that. I know kids are watching me, and well, I can't really, you know, in Minecraft, just somehow, I don't know how to put it. I just want to be careful when it comes to Minecraft. I upload GTA to my main
Speaker A
channel. Mhm. Maybe I'll upload some vlogs there, where I don't necessarily think it has to be totally for kids, like, I won't curse, but I just won't.
Speaker A
And do you curse a lot IRL? In real life? Yeah. Well, it happens. Okay, fair enough. No , I mean, it's just a question, you know, in that context. Well, yeah, I'll say this, just, well. What?
Speaker A
Okay. Yeah. It is a part of our native language. Yes. So yeah, yeah. You use it 100%.
Speaker A
I use it. Wait. Oh shoot. That’s the bomb. Dang. Dang. Look at that sacrifice. Do you see that sacrifice? Leave a sub and a like. I use this beautiful language. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Speaker A
But not in videos. Since these are quick shots, what's the most you've managed to earn from one video?
Speaker A
That’s green. Green. I think it’s green, actually. Yeah, even with those old RPMs. Yeah, I think it’s green. It just has so many views that okay, pretty much 100%.
Speaker A
I’d have to check, honestly, but yeah . And on average, how much does one Minecraft episode earn? Like, you know, for example, some range? You know, that RPM is all over the place. It’s really hard to say. Well,
Speaker A
what does it mainly depend on for you? Hard to say. I don’t know. It’s man, it’s random. It’s terribly random.
Speaker A
Okay. Can you have an episode that sure, sure, watch time has to be higher and so on, but even if the watch time is the same, the RPM is often totally different. Even with the same watch time. Yeah, it’s just so random. I
Speaker A
don’t, I don't know why that is. It’s not that stable, it fluctuates quite a bit. There’s, I don’t know, a video that suddenly has a 16 RPM or 20, and then a video that suddenly has 98, just like that. Not like that.
Speaker A
Also, generally, for a viewer who doesn’t understand, viewer, RPM. Here we're talking about how much YouTube pays a creator per 1,000 views.
Speaker A
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well yeah, so you’re clear, because not everyone might know what that acronym means.
Speaker A
Well, it varies, it varies a ton. For sure gaming pays less, a lower rate, a lower RPM than vlogs, right? That’s what I think.
Speaker A
Okay. On vlogs they probably hit something like 30, 40, maybe, that's what I think. Gaming is lower.
Speaker A
All right Paweł, well, the rapid-fire questions are over. Thank you very much . It was a great pleasure. I’m glad we managed to chat.
Speaker A
Thank you, Mr. C Potworek. I hope viewers that you liked it too, that Paweł and I really delivered a cool, well, I think over an hour of our dialogue, our conversation, and that you'll enjoy listening to it.
Speaker A
It was promised and it’s here. Exactly. Finally managed it. Finally managed it. I’ll tell you this, next time we’ll meet at the gym with Paweł, I’m telling you.
Speaker A
I have to. I’m coming back in September. I’m coming back, I’m coming back. I used to be a beast. I used to be a beast. I was benching 100 kg, because you can't tell looking at me. Oh.
Speaker A
Wow, there were such moments. So viewer , you see, Paweł will return to the gym. We’ll make a video from the gym with Paweł. I’m telling you.
Speaker A
I’m coming back, I’m coming back, I’m coming back. I have to, but what? A monster is a monster, so I’m afraid of him.
Speaker A
I’m that kind of, you know, nice monster. So listen, take care viewers. All the best. Check out Paweł’s stuff. Thank you for today. See ya.
Speaker A
Bye for now. Take care. M.
