LinkedIn has completely just changed its algorithms. So, if you've been posting content recently and noticed a big decline in your views and impressions, you're not imagining it. There's new rules to the way the LinkedIn algorithms work, and that's exactly what I'm about to show you. So, recently LinkedIn released a nine-page report talking about the algorithm update. Now, here's what they said. They didn't change it, they didn't tweak it, they replaced it.
Speaker A
And it is all replaced now with AI. So, the old rules of what you might have been following before do no longer apply. You need to understand the new way the algorithm works, especially if you're trying to get buyers, if you're trying to get in front of the right people so that you can sell your services. So, here's how this video's going to be structured. Number one, I'm going to summarize the nine-page report so you know exactly how the new algorithms work. Number two, we're going to go over how this affects your business and what you should be focusing on. And number three, I'm going to teach you how to understand the algorithms to figure out whether it's working for you or whether it's working against you. So, what did this nine-page report actually say? Well, first, the entire algorithm now is AI. Before, it was just a bunch of developers who made a set of rules that everyone had to follow. They would make it like this, if X user does this, here's the reaction, which made it really easy for us to figure out, and that's why people were manipulating the algorithms. That's why engagement pods were a big thing. That's why people were posting content and getting incredibly viral views. Now, it's no longer the case. Now, the AI studies your LinkedIn profile and your LinkedIn activity as a whole. It's no longer just individualized things. Now, the LinkedIn AI is studying, okay, who are you actually connected with? Okay, what kind of content are you posting? And it will no longer just look for keywords. The AI has the actual ability to read your entire post and then determine who would be the best fit for it. Now, this is actually massively beneficial for you because you don't need thousands of people looking at your content, especially if you're trying to sell something. What you need to focus on is the right targeting. If you get the right messaging dialed in in your content and the AI understands who you're trying to show your content to, the algorithms will just put it in front of those people. So, even though you might actually have lower impressions or lower views than before, your business results are going to shoot up. The most important thing is just knowing how to tell the AI algorithms who you're targeting. So, here's how the new algorithm works. The moment you press publish on your LinkedIn post, the AI will read your post and determine who it is for. Then, it will immediately start distributing your content to who they think it is for. And if that group of people starts to engage with your post, then the AI gets the trigger, "Okay, that was a correct assumption. Let's show it to more of those people." And if more of those people engage, then the algorithms continue to show it to more and more. That's why targeting is now incredibly more important than ever before. And that's why you need to have your business set up properly if you want to take advantage of these new algorithms. So, what does this all mean?
Speaker A
It means that LinkedIn is now doing your prospecting for you. Before, if you wanted to get in front of your buyers, you had to optimize for maximum reach. You would have to publish content, hope it went massively viral, and then hopefully your ideal buyers would see it, engage with you, all of that. Now, it's the reverse. You don't need to worry about views so much because if your messaging is dialed in, the buyers will come to you. So, this is great news because now LinkedIn is your personal prospecting tool. Before, when you were creating content, you had to hope in a sea of thousands and thousands of people your ideal buyers would find you. Now, LinkedIn is trying to help you out. LinkedIn's trying to get your right buyers to see you all organically, too.
Speaker A
So, let's go through an example here. So, let's say you're a career coach and you create a post about five tips to get a salary raise and a promotion. Well, now here's the problem. The AI will see this post and because it's so broad, they're going to say, "Hmm, we don't know who to share this to." So, now they're going to try and share it to multiple people who are probably not the buyers you're trying to attract, which is going to kill the reach of the post and you're going to lose both ways. You're going to get less engagement, less views, and your buyers are not going to see you. Now, let's say we took that same post and added specificity to it. Let's say we made the post about how senior tech leaders trying to get into executive positions can get that role and get the salary raise. Now, the algorithms know exactly who you're targeting and they will show it to those people. Obviously, the post itself needs to be engaging. Just because your targeting is right doesn't automatically entitle you to like all of your ideal buyers, but assuming the post is set up correctly, it's written in an engaging way, then yes, the algorithms will happily show it to those people. It's a win-win, right? Because remember this, LinkedIn is a publicly traded company and its value is based on its stock.
Speaker A
Now, one of the most important key metrics that affects the stock price is retention, retention on the website. So, if you start creating good content specific to your ideal buyer, specific to a person that's engaging, guess what? You are then keeping more people on the LinkedIn platform. So, LinkedIn is saying, "Wow, you're helping us increase our retention rate, which is going to bring up our stock price, which is going to make all the shareholders more money. So, yeah, of course, we're going to give you more reach." It's a mutually beneficial relationship. So, here's the thing though, on paper, it might look like your post is actually doing worse than before, but it's not. Just because your impressions are down does not mean that it's not going to bring you more buyers or anything. In fact, like I said before, you have to understand that it's a new game we're playing. Yes, the reach and views are down, but the targeting is up. So, focus on getting your targeting right. Don't focus on the impressions. They're no longer cause and effect relationship anymore, right? Before, yes, more impressions, more views meant a higher chance of more buyers. That's just not the case anymore. Now, this is really valuable for new creators on the platform. Even if you have a small audience now, LinkedIn is no longer looking at your follower count for distribution. They're looking at the content itself for the distribution and who they should show it to. So, if you're new to LinkedIn, you're starting to post content, you have a smaller audience, this algorithm update is the best thing that could have possibly happened to you. Now, here's the thing I want you to remember. As a LinkedIn business coach myself, the posts that bring in the most money, the posts that bring in your best clients, are the ones that don't look like they're working at all. Look at my screen right now, I'll show you an example. Okay, so come look at this post over here. On paper, it just looks like a regular post. As you can see, 16 likes, 846 impressions, nothing crazy at all. In fact, I'll read it to you. I said, "Smart people struggle in business the most. School trained them perfectly. From elementary school, there was always protocol. Follow the steps and you would get good grades. Good grades mean good opportunities. Most people think business is the opposite. False. Business is the same game. There's protocol and structure, a way things need to be done if you want the outcome. The pr

trained them perfectly. From elementary school, there was always protocol. Follow the steps and you would get good grades. Good grades mean good opportunities. Most people think business is the opposite. False.
Speaker A
Business is the same game. There's protocol and structure, a way things need to be done if you want the outcome.
Speaker A
The problem is, most coaches on LinkedIn are posting content without understanding the system behind the platform. So, they work hard, but the buyers never show up. This Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, I'm hosting a live LinkedIn group coaching call where
Speaker A
I'm breaking down exactly how the LinkedIn algorithms work in 2026 and the type of content that attracts high-ticket buyers. I'm also going to evaluate the content of attendees so they learn how to get more buyers. Small room, it'll be 11 people total. If you
Speaker A
want one of the seats, just like this post and I'll send you the details.
Speaker A
Seems like a normal post, right? Well, this post made me $15,000, and I'll show you exactly how. So, at the end here, if you notice my call to action said, "Just like this post and I'll send you the details." Well, as you
Speaker A
can see, 15 people liked the post. Of the 15 people that liked the post, we invited them to the webinar. Of the 15, 11 of them actually accepted. I believe eight showed up, four ended up booking calls, three people purchased. They
Speaker A
bought at a $5,000 package, and guess what? 15k generated from a single LinkedIn post. Now, here's the beauty of all this. Because of the new algorithms, I didn't need that many impressions. As you can see, only 846. I've had posts
Speaker A
with 200 impressions that still brought me buyers. Why? Because the algorithms hyper-targeted my ideal buyers. It was the career coaches looking at me. It was the executive coaches. It was the leadership coaches. All the people I wanted to see my content were looking
Speaker A
right at me. Because the way I set my post up, I talked about who the training was for. I talked about who the post was for. I set up my content the right way, so that when the AI read it, it said,
Speaker A
"Okay, cool. I know exactly who to show it to." And then, boom. What ended up happening? Three new clients enrolled in the program, cash collected, organic post. The same can be done for you if you do your content correctly. Now, let
Speaker A
me show you another example that was the exact opposite result. So, over here, this is a meme I found. I found this on Instagram and I reposted it, and I said, "There's no way this can be real." And
Speaker A
it says, "Hi Ryan, I noticed you headed out a little early yesterday 4:57 p.m.
Speaker A
While we appreciate your work, we need to make sure we are being fair to the rest of the team who stay until the end of the work day. To make up for the short time deficit, you can either take
Speaker A
a slightly shorter lunch today or stay until 5:03 p.m. this evening. Let's make sure we are watching the clock a bit more closely moving forward. We are a team. Thanks." This post got over 100,000 impressions, hundreds of likes, tons of
Speaker A
engagement and comments, reposts and all. Do you know what this post generated for me? Zero.
Speaker A
Zero leads, zero clients, zero everything. In fact, it probably put me in a worse position because I confused the algorithms. Now, the algorithm doesn't know who to show my content to.
Speaker A
It's like, "Oh, well, he's been posting for coaches, consultants, people like that on LinkedIn, and now all of a sudden all these other people are liking his post." So, this post, despite it getting all these awesome views, hurt me
Speaker A
more than it helped me. This is what I'm trying to tell you, don't worry about the views, forget about them. Focus on your targeting, that's all the new algorithm is about. Now, here's the second part of the algorithm updates
Speaker A
that we haven't discussed yet, and it's arguably even more important. Now, imagine you are a career coach, and you help women in tech get promotions. And you start creating content on that.
Speaker A
Well, your ideal buyer, that woman in tech, is not going to like or comment on your post. They don't want their boss to see that they're trying to get a promotion, or they're trying to leave their job. They just won't do it, but
Speaker A
they won't engage in the post. Now, before with the old algorithms, that was detrimental, because if they didn't engage with your post, that meant, "Oh, well, they're not interested, we're not going to show it to anyone." The new
Speaker A
algorithms are not basing it on the likes and comments anymore. They want to know how long did someone actually spend reading your post. Did they actually read it? Because they can track the scroll, they can track that you stopped,
Speaker A
looked at the post, read through it. That is massive. Now, what this means is that what you really need now is a good end-to-end client acquisition system.
Speaker A
You know that your ideal buyers are most likely not going to engage with your post, right? There's a difference in behavior between followers and buyers.
Speaker A
You saw it in the last example I showed you, right? That meme post, bunch of followers, they'll like it, they'll comment, do all that. Buyers, not so much. Buyers stay in the shadow until they see an opportunity to move forward
Speaker A
throughout the actual buying process. So, you want to set up a legit client acquisition system so that you can take your ideal buyer and bring them closer towards getting on a phone call with you, learning about your services, and
Speaker A
actually paying you to start working with you. Now, to help you with that, I actually filmed a 1-hour training video teaching exactly how to get three to five clients from LinkedIn every single month organically. If you want to get
Speaker A
that training, I've put the link in the description below. You can just click that right now, download it, and it is yours. So, now let's go into whether the LinkedIn algorithms are working for you or against you. And it starts with your
Speaker A
LinkedIn profile. Come look at my LinkedIn profile over here. If you look at my headline here that I've highlighted, what does it say? LinkedIn business coach for career and executive coaches. Build 20 to 30,000 dollar per month coaching business. This is
Speaker A
incredibly important. What am I doing? I'm signaling to the algorithms, "Okay, this is exactly who I help, and this is the end result I help them get." I'm not talking about my accolades. I'm not talking about how I have a master's
Speaker A
degree or how I achieved this or any of that. No, no, no. What I'm saying is, "This is who I help. This is the end result I help them get." This helps the algorithms figure out, "Okay, this is
Speaker A
who we want to target." It's not just your content that the AI is scanning.
Speaker A
It's scanning everything now. It's scanning your LinkedIn profile. Yes, it's scanning your content. It's looking at every piece it can get so that it can make the most targeted decision towards getting you in front of your ideal buyers. So, make sure you have your
Speaker A
LinkedIn profile set up correctly. In fact, I just recorded a video last week showing you in depth how to set up your LinkedIn profile. If you want to go watch that, it's literally the previous video before this one. I'll put it right
Speaker A
here as well if you want to save it for later. So, one of the easiest ways to determine if the LinkedIn algorithms are working for you or against you is to see who's viewing your profile. So, come look at mine over here. So, if you go
Speaker A
down to premium features, this is a LinkedIn premium feature, by the way, and you go to see profile viewers. Just look. So, I'm looking at mine right here. Obviously, I'm targeting career coaches, executive coaches, business coaches. Right away, two hours ago,
Speaker A
Soma. Hopefully, I'm saying her name right. Award-winning career coach and podcaster. Great. Who else is looking at me over here?
Speaker A
Sherry, career coach, 14 hours ago. Got it. Who else is looking at me? Executive coach, Angelo. Right? You can see the list goes on and on and on and on. Why? Because Right here, Maria, leadership burnout advisor. The reason
Speaker A
these people are looking at me and finding me and checking out my LinkedIn profile is because I've set all of the pieces up correctly. My content, my profile, my messaging, all of those are working harmoniously to tell the new AI
Speaker A
algorithms, "Hey, this is who I am, this is who I help, and this is who I want looking at me." And then, boom, as you can see, it's a great mutually beneficial relationship between me and LinkedIn together. And it's the same for
Speaker A
you. Make sure you have all three set up, and it's not really much of a wait time. You'll see quite quickly, quite immediately rather, how much the algorithms are going to start putting you in front of the right people. So, I
Speaker A
want you to do something really important right now. I want you to go look at your profile and see who is looking at you. And if it's not the right buyers, that immediately means that there is a disconnect in your
Speaker A
content, in your messaging, in your LinkedIn profile, and it is something you need to fix immediately. Now, if you don't have LinkedIn Premium yet, okay, fair enough. Go look at the people engaging with your content. That you can
Speaker A
still see even on a free profile. If the people engaging with your content, at least 50% of them are not your ideal buyers, are not the ideal people you're targeting, again, it means there is a disconnect in the algorithm and you.
Speaker A
There's The algorithm is not understanding who you are trying to target, and that is something you need to fix immediately. So, quick recap on everything. The new LinkedIn AI algorithms, they are not our enemy. They are our friends. We just need to know
Speaker A
the new rules of them. So, watch this video again, go through it, take notes, and then go and apply it. Because if you get this right, this can massively boost your business. This can massively get you in front of more of the right people
Speaker A
and get you towards your goals of what you're trying to achieve on LinkedIn. So, thanks again for watching. I'll see you in the next video. Take care.
