about that being the other way around. And there's a forklift going to go underneath that and lift it to a great height.

Yeah. At the moment, they've got a HAB on full stretch above it, but it still can't go high enough because the HAB's touching the roof. Yeah. So, basically, we're gonna get a big telehandler, go in, lift up, but they need to do it safely,

right? And the only safe way I can think of doing this is by basically making some long fork pockets with that box section that we just got in. I measured the forks before I ordered the box. So, I know that the forks will go into that

box section. Yeah. But I want to mount it to this frame. So, basically, box section, the forks going to come from this end. Can you see how it's offset?

Speaker A

Yeah. The forks will be coming from this end. So, we need to make the forks that length.

Right. Normal standard forks will go to about there. So, our fork pockets are going to come to here. Yeah. Then I want two plates coming down that going to lock into this. We're going to drill a hole right through

that. There's about 20 of these to do. Right. But the plates that are going to come down from this box section, which I'll show you shortly, you can imagine that box section running across there. Now, yeah. On the side of the box. So, this

is your box. Yeah. On your side of the box, you're going to have a plate that comes down like that past the bottom.

And that's going to have a hole in it. Just going to go through here.

Yeah. All over it. Just one hole. But on in other positions, I'm going to put a plate on it with a welded nut so they can clamp it to it as well. So it's properly locked on. Yeah. But that one bolt hole alone

will stop it from coming off the forks, if you will. Yeah. So I want you to knock this together quick. So Frank, you know how to use this now, don't you? Or you're getting there.

So here's the Sprinter van I was talking about. Tom Wood. So Tom owns a recovery firm down south.

I'll go into a little bit more detail as this chapter goes on.

So this Sprinter van has had quite a bit of work done to it already in the back, which we will look at in a moment's time.

Looks like it's just had a full respray. So let's take a look in the back of it once it's off.

Speaker A

So, the Shindawa has just turned up. I thought that was coming another day, but anyway, so it's a Shindawa 300A, the same as what we got in Callum's van, and two Snap-On roll cabs.

So, basically everything that's in this vehicle wants to go in the other Sprinter, but have its own space. So these two boxes we will take off the wheels, proper boxes them and, like I say, integrate them within

an aluminum bench. So I'd say that will probably go to the back, that will go there and we'll have a little bit of space over the wheel arch for maybe a couple of shelves. Shindawa can go at the front like it is here, but

I'll ask Tom if he wants it raising so you can—I like to have them off the floor so you can slide stuff underneath them.

Speaker A

But again, I'll ask him that. We'll have to turn it around. We'll put the exhaust through the floor at the other side.

So, no problem whatsoever as you will see. Another job's just landed. Press scanner fuel tank top of 13 plate truck. So can you see there one of the—I think that must be a side rail been catching it. That's

your tank strap. So must be a side rail chapping or something. Was it a side rail bud chapping on that? Yeah.

So I reckon what we'll do we'll fill that in with welds with TIG and that.

And we'll also put a bit of a patch. Will it matter if the patch goes over where the tank strap goes?

Speaker A

No. No. Put a bit of a patch over that just to make sure it's bang on.

We like this. We like it. All the work just keeps flowing. No seats. [laughter] So, they have actually gone for reupholstery at some leather company and I have seen a picture of what they're going to look like. Next level.

So, yeah, it's going to be a recovery truck van. This I'd say it's more like a show van though.

The way it's when it got carpet on the sides and the headboard. It'll be a proper job.

4,700 hours. These things run forever, believe me. Very nice boxes. So, I presume he's going to want a spot for the gun and the trolley and everything else that's come in the back of the van.

Sealed. We don't need to put anything in that to test it. I know that that will be okay. We did see a little like worn spot there, so we just filled that in as well.

Bank's doing all right. [sighs] Little bit of welding to do on the other side now. And then the frame needs drilling for this hole here. These are going to have actually going to have nuts tacked on them so they can just

lock on to the frame. So all the other frames only need one hole drilling right through the box. We're going a bit a little bit over the top with this 'cause the customer wants to go over the top.

Do you know what I mean? So, better being safe than sorry when you're lifting something way high in the sky.

But, as most of you will know, we like to overengineer stuff all the time.

Speaker A

It's our thing. That's what we do. Very handy having the weld [music] tables, I tell you. Definitely going to have to get another one for the other shop.

[music] So this There's a little lifting frame that Frank's made. More variety Frank. Good bit of kit.

Speaker A

Well, well over top. So, there's plenty of these frames that need lifting up.

I don't know what they've got on some big air conditioning units or something that are going way up.

Yeah. [snorts] and the HAB wouldn't do the job. So, it's going to be a telehandler job.

So, this frame basically just locks on. Locks on that one. There's a bolt actually goes all the way through it. Locks on on the front and locks on on each fork.

Speaker A

Locked on there. They are a little bit bigger forks on the telehandler, but they will go into these pockets. Locked onto the fork there.

Yeah. Well, I wouldn't say I've been watching your channel for a good while now. You've been doing it for 18 years, haven't you?

Yeah. Close to 15. And we'll put a link in the description to his YouTube channel. It is very interesting for you guys to watch. Do you want to have a look at this van that we're on at the moment?

Absolutely. This thing's cool. This So, this is a customer's van that's just come in. uh a recovery firm down south, ETA, and basically we put an aluminium floor in. Uh this shindawa turned up, this welder turned up. We've

made a a frame for it to sit on. We've just mounted the exhaust to go through the floor. Bit of stainless pipe there.

Speaker A

As you can see, we got like uh a base plate at the bottom there. And that exhaust goes through the floor about 150 mil down. that welder is actually bolted to that frame. The next step is to build a bench to go on the side of

the van if we just come out here. And uh we've got two toolboxes and a compressor that's going to be integrated into a bench.

Speaker A

Basically, it'll be just like that. That's the back of the van. That'll be over the wheel arch and that comes up to the side door. We'll raise it all up a little bit. We'll probably go to about 1,00 high. So, just enough to clear the

wheel arch because that wheel arch could cause a bit of an issue. So, we get the compressor up over the wheel arch. We'll put a steel top on it. I was originally going to put a stainless steel top on

it, but I spoke to a customer and the customer's happy with a mild steel top on it. Now, we'll riv nut it down to some aluminium box. We'll make all the all the frame out of aluminium just to

Speaker A

keep the weight down in the van. That makes sense. It is a 5 ton van and it's it'll probably have a lot of tackle in it with it being a recovery.

Speaker A

What are the limitations here in the UK? Because in the United States I can go up to 26,999.

Speaker A

Well, we five ton. What's 5 ton in pounds? Uh 10,000 £10,000. Yeah. So that's that's that's your maximum.

Speaker A

That's the maximum in this vehicle. Yeah. Yeah. [snorts] But most vehicles are three three and a half thousand.

Really? You can get 7 and 1 half ton van. Do you know what I mean? But above that, you're going into getting into a truck.

Speaker A

Special licensing. Yeah. Yeah. Class two. I've got a class two. You need a class two to drive one of these.

Speaker A

Really? Yeah. Huh. Yeah. Well, it's um unless you got grandfather rights like me. I'm the director. The director can drive the big van.

So, yeah. What do you think of that? I think it's I think it must have been a bit of a I don't know if this has been done for this or he's bought it like that. I'll have to speak to him. Do you

know what I mean? With all the lights in and stuff. Might have been a might have been a camper van or something before. I don't know.

It's a party camper. Yeah, looks like it, doesn't it? Party van. It's pretty cool, though.

Yeah, pretty cool. But once all the airlines in, all the electric and everything, then it'll all get racked out on this side for like nuts and bolts and whatever, you know. But we're not doing that side. We're just doing this bit and

the generator. You know, I got the opportunity to work out of your van yesterday and that thing is what I think you guys would say well kitted out, right?

It's probably one of the best in the UK. Yeah, it's nice. It works really well.

It was very intuitive. I didn't really have to ask you too much where things were. Yeah, I was able to kind of go in the van and grab it.

Got to be honest, I might have to trade my truck in for a van. I don't know.

So, we got Ant set up outside the workshop. Basically using our van because it's completely different to what you're used to, isn't it? Over there.

We've not done much 10 mill carbons with the shindawa. So, if it starts drawing down, we'll drop the size.

Okay. Yeah. Um, but this is a job for Howard Start Demolition, one of his pulverizers. We're going to replace the teeth and we're going to cut the end off and replace it with his Hardox 500.

We'll prep that. Yep. I don't really want to tell you what to do. You know what to do.

Oh, yeah. We're going to put a nice We're going to put a nice bevel on this.

I'm going to match probably the bevel of this second one. Pretty close. Maybe a little deeper. I just don't really want to come below this this this uh shoulder here. So, I'm probably just going to come straight out at like a 45

I'll cut that with the Oxy propane. This will be my first time cutting with Oxy Propane. I've used Magny gas and I've used acetylene, never propane.

So, we'll of course put a nice We'll get this thing tacked up, put a nice preheat in it, and we'll try to weld it out with some solid wire. Are we going to take it into the workshop to weld it or do you

So, we got really bad signal in the charger. You've got decent internet speed in here, but the problem is this cabin or this office is um shielding all the speed. So, I'll put in what's called a Wi-Fi bridge. Both it's points to

points, but both points give off Wi-Fi as well. So, you've got full internet speed in your unit next door, and then it's beaming the internet right across to the dome, giving full internet speed there as well. So yeah, you've got Wi-Fi

for your wireless devices and obviously that's how I've linked the cameras. Mega that Donnie mega. So when we were in the dorm before, yeah, we didn't [snorts] have any signal whatsoever.

What megapixel cameras? They're 8 megapixel. 8 megapixel. Can I talk through them? You can talk through them. You can warn off um you can speak to visitors. You can warn off unwanted visitors.

Yeah. and it records sound as well as video. So I can actually look at these at night and who is actually surveilling the cameras?

So all these cameras are being monitored at nighttime by a third party company. Um if anybody steps onto the um lands after hours, they can speak to them, tell them the trespassing, tell them the police have been called

and into our zones is we can like put a zone up where the actual people walk into that zone. You know what I mean?

acetylene. I prefer to use propane. Acetylene is a lot hotter and it's a lot easier to cook. It's just a lot of sites over here don't like acetylene on site.

Oh, do you know what I mean? So, they only safety aspect. Yeah. Safety. But so, so basically I've just been brought up with with propane.

So, I think people just explain the situation. So, I'm taking the I've done CAD previously. I've not used Fusion software. So, I'm getting a little bit of practicing at home. I've taken it home.

Not getting paid for it. No. While I'm learning, but all in I think I've done about an hour and a half, two hours to get that drawing sorted. I'm getting there picking up bit by bit. But I've been offered a pay rise once I learn it.

So, once I'm doing drawings for you, I'll be making more money anyway. So, all these clowns Yeah. who give me blowback for giving somebody an opportunity to learn.

Yeah. To better himself in the future and get a pay rise once you you once you button that up and and starts putting it onto the plasma pay rise.

So basically only counter one side but because these threads are so badly damaged especially like where they tried drilling and it's offset.

I might redrill them in a different different position and get this made in one piece from there to there.

Same with actual bor itself with a with a packer box. It's breaking them off.

So, this is actually upside down at the minute that you pick that lump up and turn it over and put it on there.
