Can I record a call or video meeting on my phone
In shortNo. iOS and Android do not let one app record the sound of a call in another (Zoom, Meet, Teams, WhatsApp). This is a system restriction, not a SozAI one. Record the meeting with the service’s own recording and upload the file.
What to do instead
- If the service can record meetings (Zoom, Meet, Teams), turn on its recording and save the file.
- In SozAI tap Upload and choose that file.
- If the conversation happens in person in one room, tap Record: the phone records the voices through its microphone.
Why it is not possible
The system protects the sound of voice calls, and during a call the microphone is taken by the app that makes the call.
If a call comes in while you record
Recording pauses and the screen shows “Paused — interrupted by a call” (on Android, “Paused — recording interrupted”). After the call, tap Resume. More in Recording on the phone was interrupted.
