Recording on the phone was interrupted
In shortA recording pauses or stops because of a call or alarm, the silence autostop, or missing microphone access. Below is how to tell which one it was and what to do.
How to tell what happened
iPhone and iPad
- If the screen says “Paused — interrupted by a call”, tap Resume and the recording continues.
- If it says “Stopped automatically after silence”, autostop triggered. You can set it up: Profile → Stop on silence.
- If it says “No access to the microphone”, tap Open Settings. See No access to the microphone.
Android
- If the screen says “Paused — recording interrupted”, tap Resume and the recording continues.
- If it says “Stopped automatically after silence”, autostop triggered. You can set it up: Profile → Stop on silence.
- If it says “No access to the microphone”, tap Open Settings. See No access to the microphone.
Stop on silence
A recording left running is saved after 5, 10 or 30 minutes of silence; the default is 10, and you can turn it off. A minute before it stops, the app warns “Silent for N minutes — stopping in a minute”, and Keep recording cancels the stop. The silent tail (up to 10 minutes) is not counted in your minutes.
Recording in the background
On iPhone, recording continues with the app minimized. On Android the system may give a minimized app silence, so keep SozAI open while recording.
If the recording did not reach the server
The app keeps it on the phone and sends it again when the network is back. If you do not have enough minutes, the recording waits until you add minutes or retry.
