Imagine if your Lamborghini sounded like this. When I drove mine for the first time, something went catastrophically wrong. Wa wa wa wa wa. I have put my life savings into buying this car with the hopes to be able to rebuild it and get it back on the road and potentially make it worth full retail value. But that is not going to be easy. This car has been fighting us every step of the way. And the first time we drove it, it sounded like the gearbox disintegrated. Now, that disgusting noise was coming from somewhere on the car back here, which is worrying because we removed the gearbox in this car, and we could have damaged it. And it wouldn't be the first time I've messed up a job like this. There's so many things that could be at fault, none of which are cheap. It could be things like the gearbox, differentials, drive shafts, prop shafts, which is scary because any problem on a V12 Lamborghini could cost a fortune. But besides the problem at the back, there's something more bugging me about this car. It's a billion different colors. So, instead of starting this video by fixing that problem at the back of the car, I want to get this bodywork sorted, which means stripping the entire car down. And hopefully by having this car stripped down, it'll help us shed some light on what the hell has happened on the drivetrain of this £700,000 supercar. Now, because we bought all of these panels secondhand, they are obviously already painted. So, not only are they painted on the front, there is a lot of paint on the back as well. Now, I don't want this car to look like it's ever been repaired. I want it to look completely immaculate. And that includes when you take it apart. So, we need to make sure we're not only painting the bits to match the car, but also hiding all of the previous color as well. So, to get this car painted, we've come down to the best body shop in the world, Chroma Concepts. They've already painted our Ferrari and our Porsche 911 and are still working on some of our other projects. But we know that these guys' work is 10/10. And if there's any company that can make this car look like it's factory, it's them. So, we need to strip everything off it. Absolutely everything. And all the bits we already put on. But it's always important to test fit these bits first. We have still got some brackets we're waiting on for here, but this is part of the reason why we want to get these videos out to you guys as quick as possible. And sometimes these parts take a little while. So, we can keep busy and keep the car busy and working whilst we're waiting for some other bits. So, that's why we're painting first. Painting a car comes with five different steps: strip down, prep, paint, finishing, and reassembly. So, strip down on this is going to be a big job. Bumper. We should probably talk about what color we're going actually, shouldn't we? What do you think, Mickey? I am an original guy. It's got to go back to the original orange Lamborghini color. Isn't it OG? Like the OG? I sort of agree with you. It's one of those: one, the interior has already got orange accents; two, it's the original color for the car that we're trying to keep original, so may as well keep it original. And orange is cool anyway. I just feel like you can't change a limited edition car. No, it's just got to go how it was. How it was. And that's coming from me of all people. There we go. Me and Mickey could get to work stripping every single part off the car, but to paint this car to the highest standard, that's not going to be enough. Every single component has got to be stripped off to make sure that we get paint in all of the areas we need to. Otherwise, we're going to be doing a half-ass job and this car will never be worth as much as it could be. Car is now officially stripped and we've broken all the bits down as well. So, they are now ready for prep and paint. A lot of this car is going to be going back to how it was and it is painted in a slightly strange way. You've got some parts that are exposed carbon which will need re-clearing and also some bits that are sat in black. But there's one bit on the car which is sat in black which shouldn't be and I don't like it. It's the roof. It should be orange. So that also needs to come off. But apart from that, ready for prep. Now for those of you that don't know, Mickey has worked in a body shop for how many years, Mickey? Oh, too many. Longer than I've been alive. Yes. So Mickey's going to start prepping some of the panels and he's going to show you how he does it. Cooking with Mickey. MC Mickey and a blaze. Going. Let's go. So, what we're going to do is get all the glue off and then we want to prep them for primer. Back to basics and then just paint everything that makes the color on every panel. Perfect. I'm going to prep this. Step one is clean all this glue from the PPF. Cheers mate. Glue is off. Let's give her a little buzz down. You're not going to be able to hear me. Got to put mask on. Prepping the panel is one of the most important stages. And if you mess this up, the panel will end up wavy. Or even worse, the panel will just fall off. When you're sanding, always keep it flat. Go like that. And you're going to put a divot in it. And through the process, un-buzzing it down flat. Then it'll be primed and it'll be blocked flat. And then it'll be painted and then lacquered and then blocked again and polished. So, you can imagine that all the stages of keeping the panel flat or when you look at the car, it will just be like straight as an arrow. So, I sanded it with 240 grit, ready for the panels to be primed. And once that's done, it will be sanded with a block to make sure it's flat. There's one of the reasons. See the outline from the SV sticker? Yeah, it's part of the SV sticker. Saying you don't see that until you start rubbing down. It's the glue. I don't know how soon after they put the stickers on, but the glue tends to eat into the clear coat. You done that 2-minute job yet? Yeah. All right. This is the important bit. Yeah. 100%. 'Cause if you don't key it up, problems. Game over. I've got a feeling Mickey's going to end up working here now instead of me. Nah, he does fit in, doesn't he? He does. Yeah, he's just one of the boys here. Not saying you're not one of the boys, but it's nice here. Got air con. They've obviously got more subscribers than you. Right. Well, now the boys here just need to do that with every single panel. Yep. And then time to get some paint on it. Yes. Ciao. Once all the panels are prepped, they can then go into the paint booth and get primed, blocked once more to make sure they're flat like Mickey said, and then can get painted in orange. Once the guys at Chroma have got a few layers of color down, they can inspect their work, deal with any imperfections, and then finally hit it with the clear coat. This is going to protect it and make it glossy. It's a week or so later, and we are back at the body shop, and the car is almost completely painted. Oh, it looks good, doesn't it? Now, whilst waiting for some of the other panels to be finished flattening, polishing and some more being painted, we mentioned earlier we've got some problems we need to fix. Because in the last video, we tried to drive the car for the first time, and it sounded like this. And on top of that, there were loads of temporary fixes we did to get it to the body shop as quick as possible. And that is all of these parts here. So, we have a new drive shaft to see if that fixes our clunky disgusting horrible drivability. We have a new rear arm because the one on the car is currently bent and we have our new freshly refurbished radiator and a new fan. First thing we want to do, 'cause all this is on the rear corner, is going to get this stripped off. Get new parts in. And hopefully it sounds much better. Is it stuck in? No. I just need to get a litt

new drive shaft to see if that fixes our clunky disgusting horrible drivingness. We have a new rear arm because the one on the car is currently bent and we have our new freshly refurbished radiator and a new fan.
Speaker A
First thing we want to do cuz all this is on the rear corner. Going to get this stripped off. Get new parts in. And hopefully it sounds much better.
Speaker A
Is it stuck in? No. I just need to get a little bit of a clunk on it just here.
Speaker A
You having a bit of trouble there, mate? No, I just wanted to get that Big whack.
Speaker A
Ready. Get out. That's the one. [music] This one is the new one, obviously. And that is the old one. And it's the wrong side. Fail.
Speaker A
[laughter] We're not off to the best start. So, we've just managed to get the drive shaft bolt out. And here is our new drive shaft with a perfectly matched part number.
Speaker A
And the bolt ain't right. Why? Just why? [sighs] So, I think what we're going to have to try and do cuz obviously the inner joint is the one that's damaged on that one.
Speaker A
So, we're going to pull out the drive shaft, double check it is actually the right one, and if it is, maybe look at swapping over the outer end so it actually fits. So, we're hoping that the drive shaft is what's causing our issue.
Speaker A
This is going to be the cheapest solution to our problem and the easiest to fix. So, the first step to checking that is getting the old one removed. And when we removed it, it was not looking good. So, this could potentially be good
Speaker A
[music] news. But it looks like we've been scammed on the part. So the drive shaft that we've been sent isn't the correct one for the car. It's actually meant for a car with five wheel nuts rather than the one center nut.
Speaker A
Yeah. So we don't need to worry about that anyway. [music] So I wouldn't worry about that.
Speaker A
No. If anything, we'd rather use this one. Yes. All we need to do then [music] is the same on this one. And then put this bit on there instead of having that bit with that bit. And then we've got this bit
Speaker A
without that bit. And then we've got the bolt that goes on it with that bit.
Speaker A
And let's put that into practice. So, we need to swap out the outer joints from the old one to the new one. And hopefully this is going to solve all of our problems. Woo! Well done, mate.
Speaker A
So, the drive shaft is on. We have moved the car and it definitely seems better, but we don't fully know until we give it a proper little drive. And to do that, because that's really what we want to
Speaker A
find out next, if everything is, you know, okay, is replace this leaky radiator. It's patched in.
Speaker A
Not looking good. Still waiting. She is still dribbling. And we have our new one here. Well, this is actually the original one from the car, but it's been recalled. We've got a secondhand fan to go with it. This saved us a ton of
Speaker A
money. I think this radiator was £7,000. To get [music] it recalled is about 400 or 500 quid.
Speaker A
Wow. So, let's get this old one off and the new one on. [music] It's so important with these cars to make sure the coolant system is on point because they're prone to overheating anyway. So, we can swap out our
Speaker A
temporary radiator for our new record one, which should hopefully stop that from causing us any problems. Then, it's just time to fill it up with coolant, fire it up, and see if it holds water.
Speaker A
If it does, get it bled. We just got the camera off. Right. Now I've done all the work on the SV. We can see if it drives now. And hopefully it's going to drive better than what it did before. There's only
Speaker A
one way to find out. Pass the seat belt. Yes, I will shut the door. No, I can't.
Speaker A
Right, first gear. See if it moves. Feels better already. Are you joining? I have the the the first test drive was a bit of a um eek moment, but let's do this.
Speaker A
Yep. So, what warning lights we got? We've got airbag. No drama. suspension, steering, traction control, and lights. I can't see an engine management light, which is good.
Speaker A
That is good. There's no clunking. I like that. I'm very nervous. I know. That sounds better.
Speaker A
Yes. Them brakes a bit dicey. Yes. There's something kind of You can hear that squealing at the back.
Speaker A
Yeah, the brakes aren't the best. No, probably need a bleed again. Bit squeaky. Yeah, it's almost like the heat shields rubbing on something.
Speaker A
We'll have to have a little look at that. But a million times better. Oh, mate.
Speaker A
Wow. Yeah. Yeah. That's breaks, isn't it? I bet there's a stone caught in there.
Speaker A
I mean, how many stones have we took out of this? All right, let's get let's get to the bottom of that cuz that sounds horrible.
Speaker A
Is that your side? Yeah, I think so. But better. Yeah, I don't want to do too much more than that.
Speaker A
No, but definitely a lot more successful. Drive shaft beast. Beast result. Result. Yeah, cuz that was dead worrying.
Speaker A
That sounds so good. Unreal. Absolutely unreal. This has to be up there with one of the best sounding cars in the world.
Speaker A
100%. Without a doubt. What a thing. We only got into second gear. I know.
Speaker A
I nearly got whiplash. I'm happy with that. Oh, I am really happy. Just got to fix that rear corner.
Speaker A
Let's have a look at that. And our suspicion was right. Slightly polished by a carbon disc. I know, but that is the fella.
Speaker A
That is the proper ass smeller. Wet win. [laughter] Jason, you know what time it is? It's your favorite time of the day.
Speaker A
Filthy mic. I'm sorry, mate. From factory, these cars have there's two options on the SV logo. There's one on the rear quarter or one on the side skirt. This car came with the ones on the rear quarters, the
Speaker A
bigger ones. But Lamborghini just do it with a vinyl. And that doesn't really cut it for you, does it, Jace?
Speaker A
Not good enough. No. So, what we're going to do instead, we're going to paint it on like properly.
Speaker A
Yeah. So, we we've downloaded the logo. Yeah. We've cut it out in a mask. It doesn't appear to be going down very well at the moment.
Speaker A
Um, but yeah, we'll get there. And yeah, we'll uh mask off the surrounding area, put some uh black base coat down on it, demask it, and then lap it all in tidy. That's how you do it properly, Lamborghini.
Speaker A
[laughter] I think that's going to be such a sweet little touch for this car just to give it that little something extra and let you know it's been just finished that tiny bit better, too. But for now, I'm
Speaker A
going to have to leave these parts with these guys, shoot back up to Leicester, and do other bits which I've got on. But then when we come back next time, these should be clear coated. Everything else should be ready and we can start putting
Speaker A
this car back together. We left the guys at Chrome at it for a few more days and pop back down. They've got a few panels fitted, but there was a bit of an issue with one of the doors
Speaker A
and we are back. It's about 3 or 4 days later and all the body panels are now painted. So, they're scattered across the whole workshop. But now with the roof being painted, the guys here have started fitting some of the bits up. So,
Speaker A
we've got the deck lid on both the doors, both the rear quarters with our snazzy SV painted logos, which I absolutely adore. And then on the other side, you can see the bonnets ready and waiting to go on. We have a wing fitted
Speaker A
door and rear quarter again. But we do have a problem because at the moment, these doors won't hold themselves open cuz the gas strut looks like this. The end is snapped off. And these from Lamborghini each are £150.
Speaker A
That's £300 quid just in gas. I know a way that we can do this cheaper. So, we've come down to SGS where not only do they sell tools, but they can also do custom gas struts for much less than
Speaker A
what Lamborghini would have charged for these. So, let's go and get two nice, fresh ones made and solve our problem [music] once and for all.
Speaker A
Thank you. Let's get them fitted. So, we now have our fancy new gastro thanks to SGS. And it says Lamborghini Avent Store SV on it. So, that means it's legit. So, now we can get it fitted. If I can have
Speaker A
some help from a glamorous assistant. One. Go up to the door. A bit more.
Speaker A
Up a bit more. Uh, too far. There you go. Let's see if it works.
Speaker A
It works cuz it's holding the door up. [laughter] Beautiful. Thanks, SGS. If you want to get anything from them, if it be custom gastrs or any tools, garage accessories, workshop equipment, make sure to go and check them out. Their link is in the
Speaker A
description. If you use code slicks 5, then that will get you 5% off anything SGS branded or Riker branded. Woohoo.
Speaker A
Now, one part that is going to slow us down with getting that vented door back together is this. This is a part off the front frame which comes separate.
Speaker A
Essentially goes from the bulkhead down to the front near the crash bar. And this one is bent. Now, the brackets and bonnet hinges are not issue because we can buy those separately. But this bar itself is on back order. So, what do we
Speaker A
do about that? Uh, Bob. Bobble, you got my hint. So, Bob reckons obviously Bob from the machine shop. Absolute legend. he can build us another one of these by using the bits off the ends and then putting rib nuts and stuff in there to make sure
Speaker A
that everything is going to fit as it could because we cannot get this for love nor money at the moment. And if Bob can make us one, that really saves our skin. So, let's get this over to Bob now
Speaker A
and see how he is going to build us this new piece up and save our skin.
Speaker A
So, uh, Mickey Slicks has dropped this off on behalf of Chris Slicks. So, apart from a [music] Lamborghini, um, and it's all bent up and we need to fix it. So, this is meant to be straight and in
Speaker A
multiple dimensions [music] is not straight. So, in typical fashion, we've not got a whole lot of time to do this.
Speaker A
Um, so let's get bit stripped off of it. Take some dimensions and, uh, get a new one [music] made.
Speaker A
So, the guys at the machine shop have got a mission. This part is backorded from Lamborghini, meaning we don't know when and if we can ever get it. So, they're going to have to make us a new one. So, the plan of action is take the
Speaker A
ends off the original pieces and then replace the bar in the center. They can measure it, make sure they get it exactly right, put the new ends on, and weld those. Then they've got to copy over all of the holes from the old one
Speaker A
to the new one. And this is going to give us our locations to mount the wings.
Speaker A
And now it's done. We can take it back to the car and see if it fits thanks to the guys at the machine shop. And the bar which Bob made for us is now fitted and looks a perfect match. You wouldn't
Speaker A
expect anything less, would you? Make sure to go and check out Bob's channel. He's making cool stuff like this all the time and making loads of stuff happen for other people as well as himself. So, as always, his YouTube channel will be
Speaker A
on screen right now. We love Bob. Now we've got that anyway, we can actually fit up the rest of the front end. So, we've got new wing brackets, new bonnet hinges, new everything. So, now we can get a more complete car.
Speaker A
Yeah, let's do this. Okay, now in order to fit the front wing up properly, we need to fit that glass there. So, now seems like the perfect time. If we're going to fit one piece, we may as well fit all of them. So, just
Speaker A
going to get all this old glue off here, get all the glass fitted, and then time to fasten up that wing, and the front end is going to look sensational. So, to fit these, you've got to have the door
Speaker A
kind of half up and then slot it over these brackets and things. And we have learned now that it's easier to put the headlight in first. So, we've done that as well.
Speaker A
Right. Next thing we are going to need to fit this up is carbon fiber parts.
Speaker A
Now, some of these from the car were okay and just need to recle clear coating, but some of them were mangled.
Speaker A
We had bits like the door cards, uh, some of the side vents, some other little [music] bits and bobs. Now, to buy these from Lamborghini would have been a fortune, but we sent them off to get repaired. And Dan, who's repaired
Speaker A
them, has just arrived. Good to meet you. You all right? Yes. Good. How'd you get on? How you doing? Okay.
Speaker A
Uh, not too bad. Yeah. Yeah. Good fun. Yeah. [laughter] I'm going to guess by that fun wasn't the word I'd used to describe it. Yes, I can tell it's better already because I can't see a hole.
Speaker A
[music] Now, the damage on these carbon parts were pretty bad. There was many, many cracks going through several parts in different places. So, Dan could get started by reinforcing the cracks on the rear with carbon fiber cloth and resin
Speaker A
to regain its strength. Next, he'll fill any holes on the aesthetic side with a carbon fiberbased filler and sand it smooth. Once [music] the repairs are done, he can add a new layer of carbon cloth to match the existing weave
Speaker A
direction and add several layers of resin built up enough to cover the cloth before he sanded it smooth. Once prepped, he can clear coat them for UV protection. And now they are looking a million times better. Thanks, Dan.
Speaker A
So, obviously it was cracked all the way down there. down there. I think it was just wrecked all in general there.
Speaker A
Yeah. So, I've reinforced all the rear view. Lovely. Rebonded that, fixed the crack down there, and basically Yeah, that was all wrecked. So, I bonded that back on.
Speaker A
Lovely stuff. So, yeah, that looks a bit better than before, doesn't it? It does. [laughter] Tidy. Fantastic. Oh, yeah. It split that down there, wouldn't it?
Speaker A
Reinforced. Yeah. Reglued. Reglued. Reglued. That's solid. Now, now these are in gloss because we we came to the conclusion that because these guys are rec clearing some stuff. Mickey's making a right a right racket. [laughter] Um yeah, we decided cuz these guys are
Speaker A
rec clear coating some of the carbon bits anyway in the satin. It'd be best if they did it so all the satin match it. So that would be a problem otherwise.
Speaker A
Yeah. Is this about ready to sand do you think then? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's been painted for good, I don't know, 15 hours. So, yeah.
Speaker A
Fantastic. That looks great. You couldn't even tell, could you? It looks good. Yeah. Yeah. What I did basically, there was an OEM join down there. And down there, I just replaced exactly the same piece.
Speaker A
And along the edge of there, look, it's exactly where it was. So, I haven't changed anything.
Speaker A
Yeah, it looks real. I'd love to learn how to do that. Yeah. If you'd seen me a few nights last week, you wouldn't. [laughter] He had a full head of hair before he started.
Speaker A
Don't worry, I've got a man for that. [laughter] Yeah, wicked. Well, if you need Do you do customer jobs?
Speaker A
Uh, not really at the minute. I'm trying to build my own car at the minute. So, yeah.
Speaker A
Is it all about YouTube still? Yeah. Well, I'm trying to get my Porsche built up and trying to build that cuz I've still got a job, a full-time job.
Speaker A
But yeah, I wouldn't mind building a full carbon fiber Porsche 911. Supercharged lightweight Porsche 911. Yeah.
Speaker A
So, if you want to see that, go and check out Dan's channel, which will be on screen right now. Where should I put it?
Speaker A
Let's go there. Yeah. Yeah. We'll leave a link for it as well in the description. Thank you so much.
Speaker A
They're looking real. You've saved us a fortune. Yeah. I did see the third video and you put a price up and I was just like Yeah. [laughter] That wasn't even all these days.
Speaker A
I was quite surprised though that this was more expensive than that. You and me both, Dan. You and me both.
Speaker A
So, now we finally have everything we need to get this car bolted back together. The bar, which the guys at the machine shop have fixed, the carbon fiber parts are now back. So, we really can crack on now [music] and get this
Speaker A
front end together. We found the key was to putting the headlights in first and then the [music] wings on afterwards and then we can spend some time aligning the wings to the bonnet. So, hopefully when it comes to fitting the bumper, it
Speaker A
should fit perfectly. It is time. We have now got to put on the front bumper. This is going to complete the look of the front end for the first time since we've ever had this car. And it's all going to be one color.
Speaker A
It's starting to get nerve-wracking. It's very easy to damage things at this stage, but it's got to be done.
Speaker A
Come on. That's YT. We've spent a lot of time getting the front bumper, well, sorry, the front end line without the bumper. So, we're hoping now when we shut that bonnet and we get everything kind of fitting snug,
Speaker A
it should fit perfectly. You ready? I'm going to be as careful as I possibly can be.
Speaker A
Oh, that ain't bad. It's a little tight this side up. It's a little tight and a little high here.
Speaker A
Well, once them other two are in. Yeah. Or is there adjustment on the bonnet? We have wedged the bumper right backwards.
Speaker A
Yeah. Just relax it a bit and see what happens. Sounds good. Let me just release that.
Speaker A
Close. Now we just got to perfect it. So, the bumper fits okay, but not perfectly. This isn't going to pass as factory. So we can get to work on trying to perfect the fitment on that. But this is where we made one grave mistake.
Speaker A
There you go. Here I polish. I don't think it will. Nothing. No chance. It's done now. I've done it.
Speaker A
That's all right. Just carry on fitting up or uh Yeah, that can be achieved on the car.
Speaker A
Okay. You know what I mean? I'm very annoyed at myself. Well, when tight or something, well, we had it on and then we just didn't throw it on the second time.
Speaker A
I scratched it. Well, easy to do, but the top sounds are definitely good. Yeah. Go on. Let's see how it fits then.
Speaker A
Well, I guess mistakes happen. It won't be the first time and it won't be the last, but the guys here at Chroma can deal with it and do a small repair section on where I managed to damage it.
Speaker A
I feel like an idiot. But now we can finally see how the front end looks on this Aventador for the very first time.
Speaker A
And it is looking unreal. I still can't believe [music] it now. But now that pushes on further to get on with the rest of the car.
Speaker A
So, we got to get the quarter off. Even though it's already been on, but that was for a test fit. Now it's for the full fit. Let's pray we don't scratch anything again. [laughter] I'm sure we won't. Plenty of tape here.
Speaker A
I'm confident now. It's only held on with a few bolts. So, get this straight off and then build it all up in the correct order so it doesn't have to come back apart again. Now, we've got the rear quarters removed. We're going to
Speaker A
need a few bits in order to assemble them. We need the carbon, which Dan gave us to in gloss for the body shop to finish. And now the guys have got them all in satin. We can get these fitted to
Speaker A
the car and figure out how all of these bits build up to make a rear quarter.
Speaker A
That's looking damn good. Okay, now just got to fasten everything up. Thank you. So, the rear quarter is now bolted to the car. We've just got all of the trims which need to go on as well, which we're
Speaker A
going to fit, being as careful as possible not to damage the paint. Now that's one side done. Time for the other.
Speaker A
Now the other rear quarter is on. We nearly have a complete car. The last piece is the rear bumper. Now these bumpers aren't simple. They're assembled out of basically a million pieces. Some painted, some plastic, and some carbon.
Speaker A
So we need to figure out how all this goes back together so the body shop can put it back on tomorrow.
Speaker A
Good job. The car is now back. Now, because of our deadline, the boys at Chroma didn't have all of the time in the world to get everything done they wanted to get done.
Speaker A
So, we've said we want to get it back, get it finished. We want to get it plugged in and we want to get this car on the road. And it will be revisiting them for some final little attention to
Speaker A
detail parts, mainly sanding and polishing. But for now, it is returning. I am buzzing for this.
Speaker A
Yeah, me too. We left it half assembled cuz I was doing stuff still. So, we haven't really had the wow factor. This is when we get this when we get it, mate. When we get it that off.
Speaker A
Thought I could see orange. It's glowing. Wow. Damn. That is looking serious, isn't it?
Speaker A
This looks so good. I feel like this doesn't feel real anymore. We have come so far from detailing cars in my garage and making YouTube videos about it.
Speaker A
Good morning everyone. Welcome back to Slits Caret. Then transferring into building cars until I got to the point where I could finally sell my detailing business and concentrate on YouTube fulltime. We've now gone from the cars I used to clean
Speaker A
and dream about and actually being able to build them ourselves. I don't know how when I started off the 350Z putting a silly body kit off eBay on it and now we're looking at stuff like this and this is wild mad.
Speaker A
Obviously without you guys watching this, none of this would be possible. So, thank you very much for everyone who's joined us along this journey so far. And if you're enjoying it and you're not subscribed, what are you playing at? The button's just here.
Speaker A
Subscribe. Why would you not subscribe for that? Wow. Pull the lever once and it should ready. Yep.
Speaker A
That is looking incredible. We need to drive it now, don't we? Big time. Right, let's make a list right now on screen of everything that's left to do. We're going to do it in a really intense fast-paced way and we're going
Speaker A
to build up to getting this thing on the streets making these silly noises from bad in a minute plan.
Speaker A
Wow. I will never get bored of that. Never. I don't think anyone will. The list. First, we've got to make a good set of wheels. Then, we've got to replace the bent rear arm. We've got to sort the windscreen. We've got to finish
Speaker A
off perfecting the panel gaps. Sort out the tail lights. build up both the doors and fit new brake pads. Then finally, we've got to fix our suspension faults.
Speaker A
This ain't going to be easy. We are going to do everything in our power to make sure that we are driving this Lamborghini by the end of this video.
Speaker A
So, now we know what we need to do to get this car finished. Where should we start on this list? Um, well, we need some wheels to drive this thing. So, yes, I think you're going on a journey.
Speaker A
I am. Yes, we've got We've had a whole debacle with the wheels. Is debacle a word?
Speaker A
We've got 10. I don't We got 10 wheels for it. Don't ask why. The wheels that we got refurbed are absolutely fine, but we're just trying to get this sorted in the easiest, quickest way possible. And because we've
Speaker A
got spares and we've got our new rear tires here, I'm going to run off and just make a good set of wheels out of everything we've got. Whilst I do that, as you can hear, Mickey's doing the rear arm. And also
Speaker A
we're due a windscreen man very soon so we can get going now for take two on this rear arm. We already tried this earlier but it turned out we had the wrong side. But we can now return to it with the correct side
Speaker A
and Mickey can get that fitted whilst I'm getting the tires sorted out. Now Archie from AGM windscreens has arrived.
Speaker A
We can start to fit the screen, the mirror and also the rain sensor as well.
Speaker A
This is going to knock off another fault. Now, one of the most challenging part of any rebuild like on this Lamborghini is getting the car fault-free at the end.
Speaker A
Luckily, with the help of OBD11, that is going to make things a hell of a lot easier. OBD11 is a pocket-sized OBD reader which can do so much more. All you've got to do is take it and stick it
Speaker A
in your car's OBD2 port. Once you've fired up the app on your phone, hit connect, and then it's going to detect what sort of car we're working on. Now, OBD11 works best on BMW, Mini, Vag Group Cars Toyota Lexus Rolls-Royce and
Speaker A
now also Mercedes, and Ford in the USA. You also get basic diagnostics on any car fitted with an OBD2 port. So, you can see now OBD11 is detected working on a BMW M5. And with one push of a button,
Speaker A
we can scan the entire car for fault codes. We actually have had a new one pop up on here because it now says component protection on the dash. Nice one. Love that. [laughter] Scanning. So, this car's got 32 control
Speaker A
modules, and it's going to go through all of those and see where our problems are.
Speaker A
19 volts. I've literally just spent £17,000 having this fixed. So to take control of your car and turn on loads of cool features on all of those brands which I mentioned earlier which are currently on screen and get basic
Speaker A
diagnostics for any car fitted with an OBD2 report and get full dealership level diagnostics for any of those brands which I mentioned. Go and check OBD11 out using the link in the description and discount code slicks which is going to save you 20% off your
Speaker A
OBD11 device or package. Thank you OBD11 for sponsoring this video. It appears I have a big problem again with this but for now let's go and deal with the big orange problem. Right, we're just going to have a bit of a play with the panel
Speaker A
gaps on the front. This side was a little high and a little big, but now we have it dialed. We've got 3 mil. And on the other side, 3 mil 2.75.
Speaker A
We'll take that. The eye is not going to see that. So, I'm more than happy with that. Now, the height's come back in. We've just adjusted the headlight, which does need to come up a tiny bit on the front, but
Speaker A
we'll come back to that when we've got the bumper off. For now, I'd say the front end is looking pretty dialed. So, let's get this thrown back together and we can crack on with the rest. Shaboo.
Speaker A
I am now extra happy. Extra happy. I'm actually beaming. Beamings. But what we're going to do next is what I've been dreading to do for a long time. We got most stuff now plugged back into this car and we want
Speaker A
to see how many faults we're going to have and how much can a You've just looked.
Speaker A
We just saw it. Wait, he's Look at his face. This isn't good. It's not looking good, Bre.
Speaker A
Oh no. We have 112 volts currently. Uh, bear in mind a lot of stuff was unplugged.
Speaker A
Yes. Let's just do a control delete and go again. Okay, not so bad. We lost 10 and something.
Speaker A
Yes, I did. That's a good start. Right. Let me read through them. Brakes. They are there.
Speaker A
It says datab bus onboard diagnostic interface. Implausible signal. You're going to like this one.
Speaker A
Sure. Airbag. Front passenger airbag igniter too. Resistance too high. Okay, I think I know how to deal with that one. Um, air conditioning obviously.
Speaker A
Wheel dampening, data bus, impausible message. Wheel dampening probably cuz of the fluid. Possibly possible. Un I'm going to say unlikely though. Allwheel drive ABS module.
Speaker A
Is the ABS module plugged in correctly? [laughter] That was the least convincing. That was that was never confirmed. I don't know.
Speaker A
[laughter] It sounded like the ABS module isn't plugged in. So, let's have a look at that. Uh driver's door, which for mirror adjustment, door, not worried about that at all. Comfort system, tail lamp, tail lamp, tail lamp, tail lamp, and then
Speaker A
alarm horn is faulty. Tire pressure, passenger door. Not terrifying. the scariest one on that two ABS module because that's causing problems on a lot of things and that airbag is a little bit concerning a little bit but I've had it before
Speaker A
where you get resistance too high it's just not been plugged in quite enough quite right yeah not necessarily not plugged in enough but like sometimes the contacttors aren't contact it was never unplugged well it's been plugged in the entire
Speaker A
time it may what was that it may actually need driving to relearn ah may but But it's also not clearing.
Speaker A
You'd expect it to clear, I think. H. [clears throat] But then I think with like your steering angle and stuff like that, that doesn't reset if you clear it, does it? You've got to swing your wheel left and right.
Speaker A
Yeah. Let's hope for that. What? And just do something else in the meantime. Yeah, I [laughter] like that.
Speaker A
You know what cars are like? Literally anything can cause anything, can't it? Let's get everything plugged in and then go again and just hope it fixes itself.
Speaker A
So, let's get to putting these tail lights in as that's going to eliminate some of our faults.
Speaker A
That's funny. That's funny. We sent these off to get a new lens on them and obviously I've left them wrapped.
Speaker A
I've just started peeling that off and it is already cracked. That is less than ideal. But that's a job I'm going to call for the second channel.
Speaker A
Yeah. If you're not on the second channel, maybe now is a good time to go and check it out. Well, not right now obviously because you're on the main channel, but second channel is Chris Slicks the second.
Speaker A
And this is a terrible job. I mean, to be fair, you only see that bit, but that is not that is not the one.
Speaker A
Was that I wonder if that was like that before and it's just is not repaired.
Speaker A
No, cuz that would that's a new lens. Surely. Well, is it? It's got to be a new lens.
Speaker A
And look, there's little bits on there. Yeah, there's all I mean again, you don't you don't see this bit, but that's not very good, is it? We'll definitely have to sort that out. Let me take a picture of it and go and shout at them
Speaker A
and complain cuz that's not on. No one likes Chris shouting at them. I don't like shouting at people, but sometimes you've just got to do it. And also, I mean, shake it off. It might come out.
Speaker A
[laughter] I don't know where it's going to come out of, but anyway, for now, let's get these on.
Speaker A
Yeah, they will they will make legal. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. That crack is really annoying. I thought it was on the underside, but it's not.
Speaker A
It's on the top. But then that's literally the reason why we sent them off.
Speaker A
And do you want this? If I'm being completely honest, you want to know what's worse? They lost one of them.
Speaker A
What? Yeah. It turns out the car might be fighting us a little bit. But let's keep going and get both sides fitted up.
Speaker A
Yeah, they're pretty rubbish then, aren't they? [laughter] Yeah, that sucks. But the good news is the other side which they lost, we had to replace and that one's fine.
Speaker A
Well, you'd hope so. If there's a silver lining on this cloud, that's what it is.
Speaker A
Do a light check. Let's I'll start the indicators. Good stuff. I'm so confident this I'm not even going to break a sweat.
Speaker A
They are ready. Yeah. Now, now we're checking. Now we are. Oh, yeah. Oh, yes.
Speaker A
[laughter] Oh yes. right, let's get them bolted bolted in. Get that top bit back on. And the back end's done as well, isn't it? Lovely.
Speaker A
Real smooth, guys. [laughter] Right, rear end is all fitted up and looking bloody brilliant. But I'm down this end of the car now currently trying to figure out what is going on with this mirror because there's a plug that we
Speaker A
can't get in. So, I'm going to spend some time fing with that. And Mickey's going to work on fitting the other door up.
Speaker A
Hello. He's cheating cuz his his mirror is okay. Oh, I see. Set you up with the bad one. Right.
Speaker A
Well, in that case, I'm going to go see Mickey. Good luck with that. So, over this side, we don't have any problems. [laughter] So, what you got to do?
Speaker A
I've got to thread [music] all this. It's a bit faffy to be fair cuz this mirror wire has to run around the runner so the window don't catch it.
Speaker A
So you got to thread the wire through the door. Yeah. And I have the smallest hole [music] in the world to get through.
Speaker A
And I guess you have to thread it so that all the plugs end up in the right places to plug [music] into what they need.
Speaker A
Exactly. So you don't end up like me. Yeah. Is that what you've got going on? Is it pretty much? Yeah.
Speaker A
Let me tell you, Aventador mirrors are fun. [laughter] The like little tick you had when you were saying that says it all.
Speaker A
I've had to completely disassemble in order to get a little bit more wire. But we've got that plugged in now so I can refit this and finish off this door.
Speaker A
Give it a go. Neither of them are working. We had this before, didn't we?
Speaker A
That window closes right now. Who's now making out? [laughter] We're just going in with full maximum confidence. Oh, and um I'm [music] just going to fit the speaker and door card and then just presume it's going to work
Speaker A
after that. I think it is. Yeah, I I feel confident, but you can never be 100%. The thing is there's a massive multi plug here. I feel like it does something.
Speaker A
Speakers on. Yeah, I'm testing. I'm just I'm only testing it because I know it's going to work.
Speaker A
Do you remember we had this issue before? Yeah, I know what we did. Took that off.
Speaker A
Left it overnight. Let it blow up. So, we're going to put it all together and then leave it overnight and then it's going to work in the morning.
Speaker A
So, we've seen us do this side, so you don't really need to watch us do that side. So, let's Are we're going to do a fade to black transition, show the sun rising, have a cockal noise, and then
Speaker A
come back to tomorrow. I'm not getting up for sunrise. Just get a generic one off the internet.
Speaker A
Okay. [laughter] And it's the next morning. Welcome back. And I have full faith now this is going to work cuz the car's gone to sleep.
Speaker A
It's had a little nod and it's woke up happy. It's woke up in a better mood. So now you ready?
Speaker A
Ready. Working windows. How's the old window drop when you open it? I presume it does. Yeah, just make sure it does where it's meant to.
Speaker A
Ah, perfect. That's that step completed. Let's continue with our list. And to do that, we need to get on the ramp. I think we have got a level sensor that's playing up, which is what was causing our data
Speaker A
bus faults earlier in this video. And I think it's going to be messing up the ABS and also the four-wheel drive. So, I want to get this on the ramp, swap the two level sensors over on the front, see
Speaker A
if that moves the issue. If it does, that means the level sensor is playing [music] up. And I've got a frantic hunt to try and find one. Okay. Well, let's put it on the ramp.
Speaker A
Yeah, let's do that. We have a random loose plug here. What's he for? Good question.
Speaker A
Looks important. That could definitely be causing us a problem. I've got a suspicion that might go into the diff. Might be causing us our four-wheel drive fault.
Speaker A
Okay. Possibly. and the level and probably a multitude of it could do all sorts of things. Yeah, there is wisdom coming from this wheel arch. [laughter] I think that's going to be a big problem. So, let's find where that goes.
Speaker A
That's a good spot. Great spot. It's only a two pin, but it could be canvas, which means it could throw all sorts of stuff off. So, let's find his home and then continue after that.
Speaker A
I think that's a great choice. Okay, what you found, Scotty? Does it go into the diff?
Speaker A
No. What's it go into? Steering rack. Yep. Well, we do have a steering fault.
Speaker A
Okay. Not anymore. I think that might have sorted that. Okay. That's that bit down.
Speaker A
All right. Should I scan first, then check? Yeah, I would. Yeah. Every single change we make, we'll scan it.
Speaker A
Yeah, good idea. Interesting. I'm just clearing all the codes now and it seems to have fixed a lot. But I'm going to start it first.
Speaker A
We'll put it back on the floor. Start it. Well, we can't put it on the floor, but start it again. See if they come back.
Speaker A
I've just cleared it. And there's only two faults on the whole car. And can I can I ask what those two faults are?
Speaker A
They are one for the driver's door. Mhm. Which is Mhm. exhibit. That'll be it. So, that's one fault. For some reason, it's not showing that on the passenger side. And then climate control module which is going to be for
Speaker A
the air con. Well, that's it. Has that cleared the Well, I don't know. For now it has, but let's start it back up. Go through the motion and see what comes up on the D.
Speaker A
The level sensors ain't I don't know in all honesty, but it could well be that that was the issue.
Speaker A
We still got traction control, suspension steering few other bits and bobs. Could just need a drive. Could be more serious.
Speaker A
Oh, and it cleared the airbag fault, but it's not actually cleared it. So, so that's what we're left with. Still basically the same.
Speaker A
Damn. Scan again. Scan again. So, let me explain what OBD11 is telling me. It's not to do with the ride level sensors not reading. It's with something called offset, which I presume is the difference from one side to the other.
Speaker A
Mhm. Yeah. I've not encountered this before, so I'm kind of on a whim as much as you guys are. So what we are going to try and do to confirm that part is or not is or isn't faulty is swap them around.
Speaker A
Yeah. Or just start by unplugging this one. I feel like isn't the worst place to go to see if that cuz that should then remove that data from that side.
Speaker A
Yes. If that doesn't work then we must continue removing [music] things until that data is removed.
Speaker A
I see. And the offset is still reading. Well, on this side. Oh dear. Have you unplugged that side, Mickey?
Speaker A
No. Do you want me to? Yeah, please. So, we still have all that data. Maybe a call to Ricky is needed.
Speaker A
I think that's a good idea. Phone a friend. Phone a friend. Hello. You're on ITV. Do not swear. [laughter] All right. Okay. What's up? Um, I was wondering if maybe you could help me, Ricky from RE Performance at RE
Speaker A
Performance on YouTube. Okay. What What have you done? Um, we've not done anything yet. It's just we've not managed to fix anything yet.
Speaker A
Um, okay. So, we've got a fault on the suspension and braking system, which is showing a data bus um signal invalid on the on the Aventador. And the only thing I can find in the live data is level sender offset on the front left is
Speaker A
70.8%. 8% compared to the others which sit around naugh to 4. So I spent a long time talking to Ricky and a few other people scanning the data again and again. But each time we came to another dead end. So we came to the
Speaker A
conclusion which occurred to us a few times. You go drive it. It may actually need driving to relearn.
Speaker A
We decided to carry on with our list and see what happens. Now we can get the new brake pads fitted and rebleed them too cuz they're a little bit spongy.
Speaker A
And then fit up the wheels. Now we've got a complete set that all match with new tires and TPMS.
Speaker A
Now it's time to test it. [music] [music] [music] Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] [music] Heat. Heat.
Speaker A
[music] [music] [music] Well, we have finally made it. A roadworthy Aventador SV. It's been a long journey, long nights. Without you guys, none of this would be possible.
Speaker A
So, I appreciate your viewership and your loyalty endlessly. This has been honestly one of the best days of my life. Driving this car is unreal. It's still not completely sorted. We've still got some faults to fix, but we are about
Speaker A
there. If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to like it. Don't forget to subscribe if you're not subscribed already, and we will catch you next time.
