cars. And the price for a V8 Defender with a body kit fitted can be upwards of a quarter of a million pounds. But we want to see if we can do it cheaper and quicker. So when I found

this body kit on Teeu for just £2,000, we knew we had to buy it. So the moment I hit this button, we only have half a day to try and fit this body kit to this car and completely transform it. 3, 2, 1, go.

Now, I don't want this to come across as us trying to shame these companies that make these kits because a lot of the cost comes into the design and manufacturing of these products as well.

Well, it took us 10 minutes to unbox it. It did. [laughter] I'm not sweating. Let me introduce you to the car because the car is not mine.

Belongs to my landlord. He's a legend and it is a Defender 110 5 L supercharged Land Rover Defender.

We know loads about this. Obviously, we know nothing about Defenders. For nearly a quarter of a century, the name has been a byword. The world's most versatile vehicle. Rugged, made for hard work. This is Land Rover.

How do I get these off? So, they just pull off then. You're the one pulling them off.

removed. It looks like a kind of fake metal plate where the new one is like a big vent. It's going to look something like that. So it's a lot more meaty.

Tell you what, Mickey, that fits really well. That's things we love to hear. So, the kits come with a bunch of clips so we can put those in if I don't drop it inside. And we're also going to get some

double-faced tape as well, just like how they did it in the factory. So, there's a little bit of double-faced tape here and a little bit of double-faced tape here. We've just copied factory fitment.

It's got one here that isn't quite. And even though the part looked like it fit perfectly, for some reason it wouldn't clip in. So, is that an issue with the clips or a problem with the part itself?

No, it's not quite flush on that side, is it? So, one side is sort of on, but isn't fitting perfectly at the moment. Let's try this one.

That could make sense. I was struggling to get the passenger side fitting right, but on the driver's side, Mickey swapped all of the clips to the original factory ones, and it fit much better. Let's see how we get on

This piece here, which we were trying to remove this light with, is not actually a separate piece. It goes from here right across the front. Meaning that to fit that piece, we're going to have to do some cutting.

Pete, when you watch this, when you come around to put this back to standard, if you ever do, I will replace this bit when we put it back to standard for you.

We have got to uh just cut basically just cut out the light section so we can slot that other bit in still clip into its factory home and everything will be gravy.

Right. Okay. Let's get this wiring off. I agree. Start with that. Right off of that new one up and see how we're looking for.

Wiring. Need to make sure they work. There is two plugs. One is a single pin and the other is a two pin. And on here, there is a two pin plug. That's it. So, what we got in that adapter then?

Cuz it looks like a BRL around the outside. Yes, possible. Maybe it's like got a splitter in it and stuff.

So, does that run both sides? Not quite sure. Should I check for more? possible.

So now we need to think about obviously get them both fitted up, but also running that wire up to the fuse box, which is somewhere.

Probably be a good idea to remove this panel. So maybe we run it behind here and up.

Yeah, might be an idea. And we want it to be a switched live like an ignition. So when the ignition's on, they come on. Pretty simple. You just plug it in. Does it work? No. Does it work? No. Does it work? Yes.

We ran the wiring from one side of the bumper to the other and then used some welding wire to tuck the cable neatly up into the bumper and into the engine bay.

After that, Mickey got on with taking the other side apart whilst I got the first side back together.

These are the final bits I believe of the front end. Think so. Yeah. Yeah, I think so.

There may be a couple of other bits, but they're sort of like a splitter. Sort of not. Don't like run canard.

I'm thinking snow plow. Yeah. So, we're going to turn it into Mr. Plow. They sort of sit one side, other side, and then they screw in from the bottom. And I'm guessing have some double-sided tape. So, I'll prepare

But that'll be good because we need to find an ignition live. So they only come on when the ignition's on. Whereas if we just powered them up like this. So if you go to those lights now, Cam.

on. We started off this project wanting to do something nice for my landlord, seeing as he's been so good to us.

And I think we've done a great job of transforming this car by fitting the new light bar, fog lights, wheel arches, side steps, wheel cover, and all the trims and grills that go with it.

On top of that, those brilliant sounding nicrobium pipes and the wheels which we got from Wheel Mania and doing all this on such a tight deadline really does feel like an achievement.

But none of this would be possible without you guys. Without you at home watching these videos, we wouldn't be able to do any projects for anyone else, including myself. And it's quite easy to forget how much we've actually done for

other people. We managed to rebuild Levis's M4. We gifted a car to Mickey. We rebuilt an M2 for Ethan, then took it straight to the Nurburg Ring, and also gifted a BMW M5 to my dad. And as great

as it is, being able to own some of the cars I've been lucky enough to own, doing stuff for other people feels 10 times better.

We are now officially done which means we can pose the timer. 2 hours 40 minutes and 20 seconds remaining. The only thing that isn't quite done is some of the glue isn't dry yet. But I would say that's gone about

as well as it could. And we can now take a look at the new modified Defender that definitely isn't copying any other brand. [laughter] It's fade to black.
