Speaker A
There are countless stories out there, and this is one of them. Some people build bikes, others build communities around them.
Speaker A
I can't. I'm Ma. I'm one of the co-founders of Craft Track Berlin. This is the largest community garage in Europe, especially for motorcycles.
Speaker A
As you know, the pressure on the market is growing. All people are losing their garages in the backyards and stuff like that. And it was time to build up something like that, a place where people can
Speaker A
come and use it as their own garage. Craftwork started as a friendship garage in Kitsburg here in Berlin.
Speaker A
We were just six people there, and we came together and started wrenching together and helping each other. After only, I don't know, one year or something like that, there were just 30 people and 50 motorcycles in it. So from
Speaker A
there, I started to think about making it more professional, to scale it up a little bit and bring more of the social aspect into it.
Speaker A
As an architect in my former business life over 20 years, in a self-employed situation, I started with Craftwork as a renewal aspect of my life.
Speaker A
So I found here a platform to come together with a lot of people from different professions, different ages, different genders, which never happened
Speaker A
the 20 years before in our society. I have the feeling that you don't have much contact, social contacts, to other people. So in a place like this, you have a real person
Speaker A
beside you or in front of you where you can interact.
Speaker A
My job here is to bring the people to the point to do something by themselves and to express themselves and prove their skills. If you have enough passion for a theme, you could do something like that
Speaker A
in every aspect.
