Me. Who's me? said Moody Margaret.
Speaker A
Me, said Sour Susan.
Speaker A
What's the password?
Speaker A
Uh, Sour Susan.
Speaker A
Paused. What was the password? She thought and thought and thought.
Speaker A
Potatoes! Margaret sighed loudly.
Speaker A
Why was she friends with such a stupid person?
Speaker A
No, it isn't.
Speaker A
Yes, it is, said Susan.
Speaker A
Potatoes was last week's password, said Margaret.
Speaker A
No, it wasn't.
Speaker A
Yes, it was, said Moody Margaret.
Speaker A
It's my club and I decide.
Speaker A
There was a long pause.
Speaker A
All right, said Susan slyly.
Speaker A
What is the password?
Speaker A
I don't know if I'm going to tell you, said Margaret.
Speaker A
I could be giving away a big secret to the enemy.
Speaker A
But I'm not the enemy.
Speaker A
Enemy? said Susan.
Speaker A
I'm Susan.
Speaker A
Shh, said Margaret.
Speaker A
We don't want Henry to find out who's in The Secret Club.
Speaker A
Susan looked quickly over her shoulder.
Speaker A
The enemy was nowhere to be seen.
Speaker A
She whistled twice.
Speaker A
All clear, said Susan.
Speaker A
Now let me in.
Speaker A
Moody Margaret thought for a moment.
Speaker A
Letting someone in without the password broke the first club rule.
Speaker A
Prove to me you're Susan and not the enemy pretending to be Susan, said Margaret.
Speaker A
You know it's me, wailed Susan.
Speaker A
Prove it.
Speaker A
Susan stuck her foot into the tent.
