We noticed our parents took Nala and left, and we tracked their location. They were at a vet, so we've been worried about Nala and we want to make sure everything's okay. Look, there is their car right there. Yeah, why would they hide this from us? Yeah, let's go see what's wrong. Do you think they're going to be mad that we're all done here? I don't know, maybe. Should I? I'm scared. I'll say, "Excuse me," and then you. Is Nala here? Do you hear Nala in there? No, but I hear more. Oh, oh, we caught you. What's Nala doing here? Is she sick? What's happening? She looks fine to me. Well, we're not sure. What do you mean? Oh, the idea. What's going on? Nala checks out good and healthy. She is going to have puppies. What? What? No, she's pregnant? Nala's having puppies? Are you sure? Yeah, she is pregnant. She's excited to have puppies. Mama, you're pregnant, baby! Congrats, all exciting. Let's go tell the rest of the family. We're at Creekside Animal Hospital to see how many puppies Nala is going to have. We're in the X-ray room and I think we should guess how many she has. I say five. I think she has four puppies. That's what I was going to guess. Guess there much more like to be more than less, so it could be five or six. Or if there's going to be a difference from five, it probably will be over five because I can count five heads and five spines. So that's awesome. Five small that it's double. No, one, two, three, four, five heads and then there's spines associated with each of those. You can see their bones. You see the vertebra here and there. There's a head there, there's a head there, there's a head right here. You can see this is the whole puppy. There's the front arms, there's the head, there's the spine that comes down, the back legs, and when they overlap each other, that's where it's hard to kind of count the numbers. She never turned down a treat before. No. Nala just started having contractions. What are the wood chips for? So when the puppies go potty, it goes through them. They don't smell bad or step in it. Okay, we have three bags of wood chips. Hatton's the expert in helping Nala deliver these puppies, and she's not here yet, so we're hoping she gets here in time. Well, here it comes. When we did x-rays a couple days ago, the vet said that the puppies' heads were about an inch and Nala can handle about 1.7 inches, so she should be okay. They also said that the first one will be the biggest one because it was right in the spot and it was the biggest. It's okay, Nala. I'm here. Nothing was out once that popped. She knows how to do this with no training. Yeah, it's all instinct, and she'll eat it all, and you know she'll eat all the puppies' poop and pee until they're totally weaned. Can you believe it? Oh, oh, here it is. Here it is. Ally, puppy number two. Oh my goodness. Puppy number two is not responsive yet. Is it breathing? How long did it take the other one to be responsive? It's pretty quick. How long can they be non-responsive and still have a chance? Oh, 10 minutes. So okay, if that one's not responsive, there's a good chance that's not going to make it. The second one went so much smoother than the first, like it just came out and Nala was doing her thing. Yeah, I got it space uncovered right away. There wasn't much fluid. Like I did the nose and mouth. There was like— what? Well, there was only a tiny bit that wasn't there before. I know there's no way to know. It could have—

one to be responsive it's pretty quick how long can they be non-responsive and still have a chance oh 10 minutes she so okay if that one's not responsive there's a good chance that's not going to make it second one went so much

smoother than the first like it just came out and Alla was doing her thing yeah I got it space uncovered right away there wasn't much fluid like I did the nose in mouth there was like what well there was only a tiny bit

that wasn't there before I know there's no way to know it could have been gone before out I mean it's hard to know he said like 10 minutes he said that's about what it can do it's been it's been 30 I'm fine the second

puppy I had CU it came out a little bit cold already the body temperature um just wasn't didn't feel the same as the other puppies so we're sad to lose one we hope the rest are born healthy and and happy little

puppies this puppy's moving puppy number three is moving looking good so far string yes it's making sound puppy number three has squealed that's a good sign thank goodness I oh puppy number three look at it puppy three so far so good three puppies have come

out they all have very different color the first one is kind of brown the second one was very light unfortunately he did not make it and number three has kind of a charcoal brown color that is so cute the vet here hi puppy number

three seems to be doing okay it's not very common this one was still born they likely had passed away before it was delivered I could see that there was nothing more that could be done so we're expecting a couple more so just waiting

okay there it is there it is we were excited as Nala delivered two more healthy puppies she's such a good mommy and we anxiously awaited to see if we'd have a final surprise before the night was over I guess I don't even need the

gloves maybe it's just doing everything without any help see it's breathing it's moving its lungs it's almost 1: in the morning how cool is it that Nala's vet came to take care of her and stayed until 1:00 in the morning we're weighing

the puppy this is puppy number one 313 this one's tinier 266 G yeah they're just getting smaller 271 266 what is it doing dancing number two who didn't make it he was actually the biggest puppy of all five of

them another one just came out I quick update the morning after the puppies were born they're so cute and Nala has been such a great mommy Nala you did amazing and your puppies are so beautiful how many do we have there we

slept for an hour and a half and then ran a triathlon I mean we didn't run it but we did it the puppies are almost 1 day old we're going to see how much they weigh puppy number one oh almost the
