[Music] Hey guys, I am Decoding YT and welcome to our 1 million special Q&A. First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Because I have only made videos, the credit for 60 million views and the credit for subscribing to the channel goes solely to you all. And today, 1 million people have joined our decoder community. So to celebrate this, we are doing this special video. So almost 2 months ago, I shared a community post on my channel for this Q&A. And you all asked a total of 4600 questions, which is insane. After scrolling through so many comments, I picked the questions that were asked by the maximum number of people so that I can answer as many as possible. That being said, if I don't pick your comment, please don't feel bad. And yes, I am saying right now, no one will ask me the toothpaste question. Okay? So, let's start with the first question, which is, what is my name? For those who don't know, I did a Q&A 2 years ago in which I already told my name. But at that time, we only had 100,000 subscribers. And of course, now 900,000 new people have joined us. So for those who don't know, my name is Adarsh and my full name is Adarsh Arijit Kashyap. Next question, what is my age? 90% of people asked this in this Q&A. So I was born in 2004, which means currently my age is 21 years. Brother, why did you start your YouTube channel and what was your motivation? So, I created Decoding YT when my 12th board exams were just about to finish. And I basically wanted to start a small side hustle before entering college so that I could at least earn 2-3000 per month to manage my small expenses like mobile recharge, travels, snacks, and other student expenses. It wasn't that my parents didn't give me pocket money, but you know, after a certain age, you want to be self-dependent and you don't like taking money from anyone. So that's when I created my YouTube channel. And honestly, I didn't think this channel would grow so fast. Alongside, I had also created a Fiverr account for freelancing where I was going to sell thumbnail designing services. My profile and testimonials were ready. But yes, I didn't have to work on that because Decoding YT grew on its own. Now, you might be wondering why I chose this niche. So let me show you something. I used to have a diary dedicated only to YouTube-related tips. Whenever I watched any YouTube growth videos from Paddy Galloway, Braj Johnson, Algo, Film Booth, I used to take notes like this from every video. Of course, these notes were for my old channel. And I used to write all this before I even thought that a channel like Decoding YT would ever exist. So I don't know in a way I unknowingly prepared myself for this niche. At what age did you start your YouTube channel? So, I have been running Decoding YT for only 3 years. But I started my first channel in 2017 when I was 13 years old. At that time, the 4000 watch hours criteria didn't even exist on YouTube. And I guess you only needed 10,000 views to monetize a channel. Anyway, I didn't even know that you could earn money from YouTube. How many members are there in your family? So, there are a total of four people in my family. Me, my both parents, and I also have an elder sister. Next question is, what was your parents' reaction after watching your channel? Initially, I showed my channel only to my sister. And I thought I wouldn't tell my parents about it until the channel got monetized. But thankfully, the channel got monetized in just one month. And that's when I showed it to my parents. I guess their reaction was quite happy, especially when they saw that the creators I made videos about also commented on my videos. Also, I think they liked that I am making content in the educational niche. Okay, now let's take some content creation-related questions. Brother, what do you use for editing? Mobile or PC? Earlier, I used to edit on mobile and I edited videos on mobile until I completed 600 subscribers. After that, I started editing on my laptop. So, the YouTube automation videos you are watching and all the videos that came after that on the channel were made on the laptop. Next question, which laptop are you currently using for editing? Right now, I am using an Asus A17, which is a gaming laptop, and you can see all its specs on the screen. Which mobile do I have? Currently, I am using an iPhone 16, but I bought it recently. If you want to know about the phone I used to edit Decoding YT videos on, it was the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. Which mic are you currently using? So, right now I am using the Senheiser Pro file, which is a USB microphone. You will find the link in the description. And I am also using the BA by BYM1, which I have used in many of my videos. Next question is, which editing software do you use? So, for video editing, I currently only use After Effects. And that's where I make all my videos. Do you edit your videos yourself and do you have an editor who does it for you? So, as of now, I do not have a video editor. I edit all the videos on this channel myself. Next question. How many cars have you bought so far? So far, I have not bought any car, but I will in the future and I will definitely share it with you all. Brother, when are you getting married? Who is your favorite YouTuber? I don't think there is any one creator whose every video I watch like a loyal subscriber. But according to my 2025 YouTube recap, I have watched the most videos of Marques Brownlee. Besides that, I love watching JerryRigEverything for smartphone durability test videos. Also, I like Ray and Train for storytelling. Hey Adarsh, I have multiple questions for you. Okay, let's see. One color that truly represents you. What is it? And what's the reason? If I had to choose a color that represents me, I think it would be black. Black is a color that is not loud at all, but its presence is very strong. Be honest, which cartoon character matches your vibe the most? Honestly, in my childhood, I mostly watched Shinchan, Doraemon, Hathodi, and many such cartoons. And if you see among these, I don't perfectly fit into any one character. So, since you all have been watching me for so long, I leave this question to you all. Answer it in the comments. One book you love so much, you would recommend to me without thinking twice. I would say Atomic Habits. It is a very easy-to-recommend book. No matter what age group or field you are in. Basically, this book explains that to change your life, you don't need to take big actions. Instead, you can improve your life by 1% every day through small changes. And those small changes will compound over the long term to give you very big results. I always give the same advice to grow on YouTube, that improve by 1% with every video. And one day your content quality will be so good that the algorithm will have no choice but to promote your video. Are you giving the password at 1 million? Yes, brother, note it down. www.com wwb. We usually know you for your work and achievements, but we love to know the human side of your school life. Not about marks and grades but about memories. Okay, very nice question. How did you usually go to school? I always used to go walking mainly because my house was very close to the school. It took hardly 8-10 minutes to get there. In fact, 10 years ago, the house where I lived was directly opposite my school. Meaning I could step outside my house and see whether the school was open or closed that day. Second question is, how far was your school from your home? So, I already answered that. Then, are you an introvert and did you have a close group of friends? I am an introvert but I had a close group of
