What the web version does and what only the app does
In both the web version and the app
Recording, uploading files and YouTube, text with speakers, notes, quiz, flashcards, chat about a recording, translation, export. There is one account: sign in the same way as in the app and your recordings and minutes are there.
Web only
- Recording tab audio: a Meet, Zoom or Teams call open in the browser (Chrome and Edge).
- The text of a recording and its notes side by side on one screen.
- Keyboard shortcuts (the list).
App only
- Buying minutes and Premium (why).
- Background recording, widgets, Share from other apps.
- Guest mode without signing in.
- Editing the text of a recording and the notes.
- Export to PDF and JSON: the web exports TXT, SRT and VTT.
- The voice translator and dictation in notes.
Good to know about the web version
The interface is in five languages: English, Russian, French, Portuguese and Spanish; the app has twelve. One recording in the browser can be up to 3 hours. You can drop several files anywhere in the window: they upload one at a time, and after a dropped connection an upload continues from where it stopped. Keep the tab open until the upload finishes; the browser asks before you close it.
On an iPhone, long recordings are more reliable in the app: Safari stops a recording when the screen locks.
