How flashcard review works
In shortCards come back on a schedule: you answer and rate how well you knew it, and SozAI sets the next showing. Start on the home screen: the Flashcards tile in the app, Review on the web.
How to run a review
iPhone and iPad
- On the home screen tap the Flashcards tile — the Review screen opens.
- Under the heading you see how many cards are due today. Tap Start. New cards open with Learn new — at most 20 per session.
- Read the question and tap Show answer.
- Rate yourself: Again, Hard, Good or Easy.
Android
- On the home screen tap the Flashcards tile — the Review screen opens.
- Under the heading you see how many cards are due today. Tap Start. New cards open with Learn new — at most 20 per session.
- Read the question and tap Show answer.
- Rate yourself: Again, Hard, Good or Easy.
Web
- Click Review in the side panel, or the Review tile on the Today screen. The cards due today open at once, without a start button.
- Recall the answer and click Show answer (or press Space).
- Rate yourself: Again, Hard, Good or Easy (keys 1–4). Each button shows when the card comes back.
- When nothing is due, the screen says “All done for today”. The “Learn new cards (N)” button opens new cards, at most 20 per session.
When a card comes back
Again keeps the card due today. The other ratings move it to later days, and the more confident the rating, the longer the gap.
Where cards come from
From a recording: on the Cards tab tap Make cards — you get up to 30 cards, free of charge. Wrong answers from a quiz can be added to the same deck (about quizzes).
Reminders
Open Profile → Review reminders and turn on Remind me to review: a notification arrives at the time you choose, only on days when something is due. If you are done for the day, tap Review anyway to go through the deck once more.
The web version sends no review reminders: turn them on in the app.
