Speaker A
Right, welcome to a new video. And this is a beautiful summer's day. Today, I'm going to give you a tour of Mcam HQ and the garages where I store my cars. And I'm going to be answering some
Speaker A
of the questions that I get asked a lot. Like, where do I store my cars and how do I make sure they are looked after properly? And as you will see, some of them, unfortunately, are not in great condition. But let's head
Speaker A
over to the first garage, which is home for some very special rare edition cars.
Speaker A
Right, I have my assistant, Zena. Now, this up the top here is probably where the most expensive and some of the most rare cars which I own.
Speaker A
And old cars. And old cars. There's definitely some old ones in here. This car is so, so fast. We did a couple of drag races on Carwow recently, and this even beat the latest from Lamborghini, the
Speaker A
Temerario. And that's a very similar car, but you've also got to think that this is what, 23?
Speaker A
This is like a 5-year-old model, and it's still super, super fast. Right, over to my assistant.
Speaker A
How long has this car been like being here for? Um, and when we buy it, uh, we bought it. We bought it about 3 years ago.
Speaker A
So, how old was I then? You were four. At last, I have these two in the garage.
Speaker A
So, E92 M3, beautiful, beautiful example this, and E46 M3. Both of them manual coupe, so fantastic investment cars, 'cause this is what people are striving for again, and these two are great examples with fairly low miles on
Speaker A
them both. They were sat outside for about 2 years, but I recommissioned them, so sorted out the lacquer, gave them a good clean, had them detailed.
Speaker A
Any bits which weren't perfect, I've had fixed. Now, this has always been my issue. When you have a ridiculous obsession with cars like I do, it's a challenge to prioritize the space to get them inside and out of the elements.
Speaker A
But, now these two are tidied up, we have made some room to give them a home away from the UK winter. But, unfortunately, that means some cars have had to go. Which we will talk about a little later.
Speaker A
Right, two very, very special cars. C63 Black Series. There's two here, both with the aero packs, which was a massive option and expensive option. The cars are very expensive to start with, so not many of them sold, hence why they are
Speaker A
sort of so rare. But, also with these aero packs being an expensive option, not many cars had them. And last car up here, the most expensive car in here, is this, the CLK DTM.
Speaker A
Very, very special. 15,000 miles. A real unicorn. Only 100 pieces. Look at all this Alcantara.
Speaker A
All this carbon fiber. Just a perfect, perfect collectible version of a very, very special collectible car.
Speaker A
Come on, Nordan. That is fire. Brilliant. Like I said, storage is an ongoing problem. But, being lucky enough to have bought an old farm all those years ago, we have buildings which are usable, and that saves a lot of money if
Speaker A
I had to store these cars off-site. And also for me, it's another advantage that they are right next to my house. So, I'm able to go and have a good look and enjoy. In this building is enough space
Speaker A
to perfectly store in the dry and warm 16 cars, which could cost you about £30,000 to store at a storage center. But this sizable unit isn't enough for every car that I have.
Speaker A
But you will see soon we have a hay barn, an old cow shed, and a milking parlor, which have been renovated to nice spaces for some other very special cars. Right, let's go now into this workshop here. With two
Speaker A
buggies still, still got these. I'm selling that one, which is a two-seater Polaris XP Pro. So much fun. This is my new one. That was my old one. This is actually a championship-winning buggy.
Speaker A
So all the parts are still on it from when I won the British championship. So there's no excuses. 25 grand will get you a race-ready buggy to race in the championship. And there are a few more I will be selling later on. Some
Speaker A
weird, some wonderful, and one which you can turn into a very nice little side hustle.
Speaker A
Right, in here some very, very, very, very special cars. First of all, this, the Peugeot 208. I've never actually used this. Battery's long dead.
Speaker A
I haven't got the fuel to run it, but it's a really cool car, and I just love having it. Let me show you what this car has done in its previous life. But it's Hansen who gets an absolute flyer of a start. And that
Speaker A
is why I love it. Nought to 60 in 1.8 seconds. Yep. And obviously then the Ken Block's RX43, Aston Martin Cygnet, V6 Clio, and the Renault 5 GT Turbo. All three cars have nicely gone up in money. Would I
Speaker A
sell them? I don't think so because, you know, they're not a lot of hassle in this building. They're dry, they're looked after. I just don't see any point. This one actually needs the lights have gone a bit
Speaker A
yellow as you can see. But, the interior in this car is fantastic. This ceiling is built with a hole in there. I don't know if you can tell, but there's a square there which comes out, and that was for a lift
Speaker A
to put cars upstairs. Not done it yet, but that was sort of like one of the things for the future was to maybe do that. I'll show you upstairs. So, this is where we used to run one of the businesses.
Speaker A
It's so hot up in here, but as you can see, it's a hell of a vast area to put cars, or we could put a lift or a forklift up there to get the cars up, but this is another area. I'm just going
Speaker A
to show you the merch. We never push this. We should push it. Hats, 464 hats, and then we've got the air fresheners, key tags, which are really cool.
Speaker A
So, we got some t-shirts, more t-shirts, more t-shirts, some jumpers. Like I said, I've never really pushed them, which is crazy really, but we just always seem so busy.
Speaker A
And when we make our videos, it's all about making them really fast and good cuts and engaging. So, we don't really do the hard sell.
Speaker A
Right, one car in here which is in fact very, very special. I'll press the button on the garage, and then you can watch it go up. Here we go.
Speaker A
That could have been a lot better with a light on. Yeah, that would have made an epic. Don't worry about that now. So, KTM Crossbow, GTSR, fully exposed carbon fiber. Wheel Mania did some amazing wheels for this car.
Speaker A
And the fighter jet canopy, is it locked? No, it's not. So, there we are. Look at that steering wheel. Look at the screens as well for the mirrors.
Speaker A
The suspension all showing. Obviously, the stock exhaust is, but one thing's really cool on this. The CTEK charger on this has got like a magnet on. So, when I forget to unplug it, which obviously I will, when you drive off, it comes off and
Speaker A
doesn't rip the electrics apart. It's really cool, actually. It's just like a little magnet thing in there. And of course, this. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. Look at that. Some fantastic memories in this car. Sounds amazing. Another
Speaker A
really, really cool thing about this car is what everyone should have in their car.
Speaker A
So mature. Yeah, so we've got that as well. So, these are sort of like my latest years of trophies from the bugging and from like arena cross, stocks karting. Like that there is sweat, graft, hard work, hours lay on
Speaker A
the floor, preparation. You know, there's so much time gone into these trophies that it would be very easy to think that you just rock up and win.
Speaker A
You definitely don't and I definitely didn't. Oh, and the Sinclair C5. Now, this needs a bit of a revamp. These garages are amazing, but I would love more space. And the council have not always been my biggest fan.
Speaker A
This does mean though, over the last few years, some amazing cars have been left outside, but it will make the renovation even sweeter. Let's talk about the green elephant in the room. Escort Cosworth, a fantastic car,
Speaker A
low miles car in great condition. Then, I had a few problems with it. We had a bit of an electrical fire, which we sorted.
Speaker A
Power steering failure, we sorted. We've got a front splitter missing, which is in the
Speaker A
And yes, it's a mess, and yes, it needs some love, but that is what this video is all about. It's showing you guys what we're doing, and the next car to have a revamp is that. And the good news, when
Speaker A
it's back to shiny, it is a very clean, honest car. When we check it [music] on CarVertical, it's never been crashed, surprisingly for a Cosworth, never been stolen, and no outstanding finance. And it is super low miles, but importantly,
Speaker A
[music] not because it's had its mileage rolled back, which we can tell here. This is a perfect collectible [music] car. Well, soon it will be. Mercedes 190E, an exceptionally [music] cool car.
Speaker A
Again, the plan is to do this up and turn it into a nice example. It's a 2.5 16-valve, so it is the great car.
Speaker A
And as you can see inside, it's not that bad. Um, definitely needs a bit of love, and that's one car which we will get on to.
Speaker A
doing. Two cars that we will see later, and probably the ones that you guys recognize the most, the epic McLaren, famously bought from Harrods, and the Shmee150 famously brought back from the dead. I do have a very cool garage,
Speaker A
which we will see soon. And I also want to show you how I keep track on what cars are officially road legal. And also, I'm going to show you my very important system of how to keep the history safe, because a car's history is
Speaker A
very important. For example, this is a bad report. It even shows you pictures from when it was crashed. So, if you bought this car after it's been repaired, you would instantly know it's had a very sketchy past, which of course
Speaker A
could massively affect the price. Now, none of the cars [music] on these shelves have a bad history like that because simply you would not want to buy that car.
Speaker A
So, if you want to check out your car, a friend's car, or a car you're looking to buy, you can use my discount code Mark two to save yourself some money on that search. Make sure you keep that for when
Speaker A
you need it. The link is in description, and thank you CarVertical for sponsoring this video. Now, let's go back up the top warehouse to show you a ritual which I have to go through every few months.
Speaker A
And you're going to enjoy this bit. What I want to do is I want to show you what we have to do with all these cars.
Speaker A
So, basically, they're all on trickle chargers, which are these CTEKs. Um they're absolutely amazing. Um we're going to check those, and every car in here which we can, we're going to start. Leave it running for about two or
Speaker A
three minutes, um just to make sure that they don't stop unstarted for too long.
Speaker A
So, this is Mercedes brown. This is a Mercedes brown. This is the front. Mercedes is what?
Speaker A
Brownish. Brownish. This. How many horsepower has it got? Have a guess. Um 200. 600.
Speaker A
600. 800 and 800 850 horsepower. Well done. That was really good. Right, we're going to start this up. As you can see, it's left-hand drive. This one came from Slovakia.
Speaker A
Okay. Watch. Yeah. That stinks so bad. So, that is a good start. Obviously, this is hybrid.
Speaker A
Which does worry me a little bit. So, to start this, um it's a little bit different. We have to It's a really weird procedure. So, press that, and then we've got E, which is obviously electric, hybrid, and then there's that one,
Speaker A
and qualifying mode, and then you have to press start again. And that is starting fine.
Speaker A
So, again, we'll leave that running for a few minutes. Um This is going to not take a lot of time.
Speaker A
We need a service. So, SF90 finished, starts, ticks all the boxes, and we work through these. We've got the Porsche 993 Targa. Now, I first owned this when I was 23 years old. Got stolen on the day I bought it, which is a ridiculous
Speaker A
story, but you can watch one of the YouTube videos from about 6 months ago, which shows you all about trying to find [music] my exact car back. Right, on the Porsche 993 C-Tech charger, looking good. We will turn that off. Right,
Speaker A
let's try and start this car. This one's a little bit different, cuz it's actually got Oh, Jesus, that was close.
Speaker A
This has got like um like some sort of alarm thing on, which sort of like puts some sort of immobilizer on, and I never remember how you do it. I think you have to lock it, then unlock it, or something.
Speaker A
Please start. I'll see you later. Yeah, it does this. Do I need clutch? I wouldn't have thought so. Maybe you do need clutch.
Speaker A
Hm. There we go. Yes. I've actually had a stereo put in this, which is pretty cool. So, um In-Phase Watford came and put this in.
Speaker A
Now, it looks like a classic stereo, but somehow, when you put that bit down, there we go. We have um USB connection, which is pretty cool. The last of the air-cooled 911s. That's why the 993s are on such a good journey.
Speaker A
Um we've got their worth. Flattened out a little bit. Dad, you scared me my freaking life just ran out.
Speaker A
Right, let's move on. I'll tell you what, this one is a little bit different. This is a a rally car.
Speaker A
[music] It's a very important that they sort of go to temperature, but this is one where it's always a little bit nervous starting it up. So, what we have to do is with a normal car, oil pressure is a
Speaker A
problem. So, we have to turn the starter motor over, which also runs the oil pump, which builds up the oil pressure, and then when we get to about four bar of pressure, I think it's four bar, then we hit ignition, and then the car will
Speaker A
turn over, spark, and work. So, again, we're turning it off at the wall. Obviously, this is my passion. This is sort of off-road cars, jumping cars is what I'm into. So, let me just take it in here. Right, power on. I can never
Speaker A
remember how to start it. So, we do that to start with. So, all the dash comes on. So, we have to press stop and turn it over.
Speaker A
Just building oil pressure. Go again. So, go again. And you'll see we're building oil pressure there. We're looking for four bar. So, we have oil pressure. Now, we're going to start it without the kill switch. Uh so, it's going to
Speaker A
um fire the spark plugs, [music] create a then spark, and turn the engine over and start it.
Speaker A
[laughter] So, we're going to leave this running for a couple of minutes. It's very loud in here.
Speaker A
That car is so loud. That's the loudest car I've heard. Let's get up up to temperature, then we'll turn it off. Right.
Speaker A
So, back off. I went round and started and ran all the other cars. It is a time-consuming job, but sitting in the driver's seat for a few [music] minutes is still very enjoyable. It's a nice few hours to appreciate some of the best
Speaker A
cars ever made. And it's something that I have learned to do after having so many problems in the past. Wrecked batteries, ECU drains, and mold [music] building up. I now make sure that this is a regular process to really protect
Speaker A
their values. And now the bit which can really catch you out if you are not organized. [music] Again, this has taken me years to get properly in place, but it's definitely worth it now it's all set up. Now, this
Speaker A
is what I want to show you. So, this here is the board which has got the registration numbers of the cars which I'm using or have used recently, and then insurance, tax, and MOT. So, what I'm doing there is making sure that when
Speaker A
I'm taking the car out, it is legal cuz it's so easy when you're so spoiled and lucky like me to have more than a couple of cars that one can be out of MOT without even noticing. Obviously, you
Speaker A
don't get reminders on MOT. You do on the tax, but on MOTs you don't. So, it's very easy for me to be driving around without MOT, and trust me, I've done it a lot, unintentionally.
Speaker A
So, there they all are. So, if I stopped using this car, I'd put that to there, and then rub that off. So, at the minute, these are the cars which I'm able to use, which is the A45, the Clio,
Speaker A
the motorhome, the Stratos, James' G Wagon, Peugeot 205, KTM X-Bow, um James' little Fiat, the Aventador SVJ which he just got out, and the X5 which is the tow vehicle. So, again, way too many cars. Um tow vehicle we can take
Speaker A
out, camper we can take out, and James' car we can take out, but then for me, I've got 1 2 3 4 5 six cars which are ready to go, which is way too much because a lot of the time I'm in the
Speaker A
van. Another part of what I have to do is all of these. So, these are the cars which all have their own folder, which is really important because so many times I go to sell the car and I can't
Speaker A
find the paperwork, can't find the old invoices, which is what keeps the value in those cars. So, I've got a really cool system that they're all in here, ready to go, V5, service books, old records. So, if and when I do come to
Speaker A
sell it, it's going to be a lot easier for somebody um to buy that car.
Speaker A
And as you might have seen in previous videos, what I try and do is all the cars which I actually own or have owned, I've tried to get the 1/18 scale model as close to the car as possible. So,
Speaker A
Aventador, SVJ, a Urus, P1, and the uh Bugatti Veyron. And where I keep this car has recently had an amazing makeover, which I am excited to show you soon. Now, I'm really keen to bring in some new cars that I have on my
Speaker A
bucket list, but I need to make some space. And the Cosworth has the first dibs to be inside. So, we have some current cars that we need to move on.
Speaker A
And hopefully, maybe one can be yours. Okay, so first car which I'd really like to sell is this. So, this is a Rover don't know, 100, something like that.
Speaker A
It's a 1.4 engine. I think it's a 114 or something like that. So, [music] 500 quid. It's got a leaking front radiator.
Speaker A
Um it needs all the cellophane taken off. It [music] needs the roof sorting. Um we did have a little bit of a bang in it, but [music] it's actually not that bad. It just needs the bumpers of like
Speaker A
refixing properly and a bit of a scuff taken out, but considering I think it's survived very, very well. Here is another of the cars from the last video.
Speaker A
So, this [music] is one of the 500 lb cars. I think this cost Reese 550. I want 500 quid for that. Um good car. Um if not, um we'll have it here for a field car. Now, Bentley Supersports. Very, very nice in
Speaker A
here. Look at those beautiful seats. So, I think that is really one of those which I would like to sell, but it is [music] such an amazing example of a great car.
Speaker A
It's very difficult to to [music] let this one go. But, if you do fancy an investment, this car has only done 9,000 mi from new and is for sale today at 70,000 lb. Right, the two cars for sale
Speaker A
here. First of all, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. So, it's so well made in here.
Speaker A
Still smells beautiful. It's done It's just gone around the clock, so it's done 100,000 mi. It was a wedding car, so it's a really good car to buy because it was being used like most weekends.
Speaker A
[music] Driver's door no longer opens. I don't know why. The tires have gone a bit old and manky. So, this one's sort of split. Um Um, but then, you know, the car it's got a bit of bubble going through there. Wheels are perfect.
Speaker A
The roof, bit of discolor in that. The chrome, I'd imagine a bit of Autosol will still get that up because it's not like really deep into it. And as you can see, it's nice. You know, it's really nice. The bit that's letting it down at
Speaker A
the minute is that needs a good clean. Now, here is definitely a business opportunity.
Speaker A
Stag dos, proms, these are sort of cars, weddings, grooms. This is definitely a cool delivery vehicle. Like this is a business right here. Cool registration plate. I think five grand for [music] that is fair.
Speaker A
Like they're worth about 10 grand. So, it's not going to cost you [music] any more than To me, if you threw 2,000 pound at that and a bit of time, that would be a 10 grand car. [music] I might be wrong. I have been before,
Speaker A
but that's what um that is for sale for. Right, another car for sale, a Vauxhall Amiga hearse.
Speaker A
Now, I bought this for um my wedding again. It was for my stag do, in fact. So, we turned the back into a bar.
Speaker A
So, inside here, we've got um It's done 47,000 miles from new. It starts. It runs.
Speaker A
It has no MOT. But, we cut the roof. Okay, so we cut the roof so the roof lifted up, which I'll put a picture in now, so that we could have a bar in the back.
Speaker A
Um, now a few people have said that they'd turn that into a camper, which is a flipping great idea. But, I want 1,500 quid.
Speaker A
Do you mean 1,500 quid for the Well, the base of the car is fantastic. So, if you are interested in buying a car, drop me an email at markmcann64.com.
Speaker A
Please do not message unless you really want the car. Now, the McLaren P1 and the spaghetti Veyron. Right, so one of the big hitters.
Speaker A
The McLaren P1. Look at that. It is beautiful, isn't it? And we're just doing the garage out.
Speaker A
Can't show you too much, but PowerMaxed, good on them. Um got all the cleaning equipment I could ever need. Monster fridge, um empty. And yeah, this whole space has been done out, but we'll talk about that um in another video because right there
Speaker A
should be a spaghetti Veyron. Um at the minute, it's at Mansory, which will be a video you've already seen. [music] Um So, that's coming back from Mansory any day. So, at the minute, we are without Bugatti, [music] but I'm not going to ruin this whole
Speaker A
area um because we've got a video on how we transformed this uh with various companies helping. Right, so that's everything. As you can see, it all takes a lot of time and a lot of effort, but I am so grateful to have all these cars
Speaker A
around me cuz I do obviously love cars. Right, make sure you subscribe to this channel, the Mark Two channel. It'd be great to get another gold plaque on this. Lives probably every other Thursday, something like that, at least two a month anyway.
Speaker A
Um which are great fun. And our podcast, we have various guests come on there, and they're really, really good fun to listen to. Thanks for watching this video. We'll see you next Tuesday, 6:00 p.m.
