[Music] I'm AeroGarden. I'm going to help you bring your landscapes to life. [Music] Amer Carson here. The tools that I use to design. So, the first tool that I have here is a pencil sign pen. It’s a very thick nib, and I use this throughout my design process. It’s a very thick, juicy black pen, and it’s great for loose drawing and sketching. The next pen I use is a Pilot Razor Point 2. This I use for most of my black and white drafting. This is a very versatile pen. It’s very accurate and clean. The next pen that I like is a more thick calligraphy pen, and this one has two nibs on it on either end. It has the ability to draw a variety of thicknesses from thin, medium, and even thicker. This is great for drawing property lines or things that need to be very rigid and clean but also very thick. The other thing that I use are white jelly rolls, and what these are great for is adding little highlights. Let’s use a tour to accent that. So, this is a white jelly roll, and what it does is create nice highlights on your existing marker colors. Another one that also does that, which is much thicker, is the Harbor Castel white paint pen, and this is great for adding highlights in your plan renderings where you don’t have marker already applied. Another tool that I use is a 6H pencil. It’s a very hard lead that creates a very faint line on your paper, so you can easily erase it or draw right over it. The pencil that I use is a red pencil. This is just great for marking over trace paper to differentiate between your black lines. Then I use the same technique for a green pencil to represent hardscape, so the softscape. So, the red represents hardscape, and green represents softscape, so they have plants or screen. I also use a red pen for markups. A very clean fine tip, and it’s a Pilot Razor, and I use it for markups. So, the tools that I use are a parallel glider. This is a great tool for creating a series of parallel lines, for example, wood decking where you have a lot of wind panels. You can easily adjust, and it does not slide. It has great rubber feet. And, of course, I always use a drafting scale to ensure that my drawings are to scale and accurately drawn. Some other tools that I use are drafting dots from Alvin. These are great little things that you can pop off and secure your drawings with. Then, my favorite tool of all is a Chartpak AD marker, which comes in a huge variety of colors, and I use these always in my landscape renderings. They flow very well, and they blend very easily. I always use a family of colors. For example, this one is Jade, Chrome, Celery, just a lighter tone, and you can see that you can blend them very easily. So, you can create these gradations. Very great for landscape because it has a soft gradation that blends very well and creates a natural effect. So, I hope you learned a lot from my tools, and I hope they can help you design as well.
