Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming. Everyone is excited, and Rockstar knows they're about to make more money than anyone has ever seen before when this game finally releases. But there's a problem that a lot of people are venting about, which is what about the writing and storytelling of GTA 6. Now, I'm not here to say that GTA 6 will necessarily have a bad story or writing. This is yet to be proved since obviously the game isn't out yet as of this video being made anyways. But after watching the Netflix special, seeing the writing that we have seen so far, one thing has become clear: Rockstar's philosophy and design of how writing is being used in GTA 6 is way different than GTA 5. I mean, GTA 5, in my opinion, is a masterclass of perfect casting, incredibly quotable bits of dialogue, and characters that are timeless. Trevor, Michael, and Franklin are some of the series' best. I mean, Trevor especially is just ridiculous, but in the best way possible. I mean, who could forget scenes like this one?
00:12
Speaker A
So, how'd you come by this place anyway? About it for ages. So, you must know Leon, the old manager.
00:23
Speaker A
Leon? I didn't. No. Yeah, whatever, man. Big one. Was a type of writing and energy to GTA 5 that honestly I wouldn't even say has been matched by video games, but just entertainment in general. Still, it's this sort of dialogue that doesn't really exist today or even like the characters. If someone is psychotic or weird in today's media, it's a safe kind of weird. Like, they can be crazy, but they can't be bigots. You know what I mean? You could never reasonably get a character like a Trevor to exist today in our modern world without someone getting offended, crying something problematic, or claiming that he's a misogynistic, bigoted character.
00:36
Speaker A
We are women. HAVE NO DOUBT. WE ARE WOMEN. WE ARE SHUT THE UP. Thank you.
00:51
Speaker A
Oh my n word, huh? What's up, homie? Huh? Which, yeah, absolutely. That is what Trevor is. I mean, he is all of those things, but that's also why he's funny and people love him, right? He's not meant to be a Fisher-Price baby's first foray into GTA. Trevor is the encapsulation of all the crazy people who've ever played GTA given form. And that's why, personally, in my opinion, he's one of the best characters that Rockstar has ever written.
00:55
Speaker A
THE HAS HAPPENED. WHY DID HE have his car? Man, that piece of turd, huh? No wonder people are stabbing HIM IN THE BACK. WHAT HAPPENED? CHEAP BASTARD. You know, I really don't know why you mess around with people like that, Mikey. I MEAN, REALLY, I DON'T. That's a question. I asked for a fair day's pay after a fair day's work. Then he kind of got a little angry. So, I admit I KIND OF GOT a little angry.
01:01
Speaker A
Did you kill him? What kind of animal do you TAKE ME FOR? NO, I DIDN'T KILL HIM, BUT I DID KIDNAP HIS WIFE. OH, NO.
01:17
Speaker A
IT'S SAD TO SEE so far that nobody in GTA 6 from what we've seen from Rockstar anyway so far has a match to say Trevor or that Rockstar is even really willing to give us someone so interesting as a main character. That's not to say that Lucia doesn't look interesting. Okay, she does. Lucia to me is very clearly, I think anyway, the main character of GTA 6.
01:29
Speaker A
I mean, it's pretty obvious that this was Rockstar's intent from the beginning. She's not only the most recognizable character of the two, but even in the Netflix extended look, I mean, Lucia to me still feels like a GTA character, but she along everyone else also feels another way, which is grounded. Lucia does not at least so far have the same level of electrifying mannerisms as say Michael or Trevor. It seems like Rockstar is trying to go more in the direction of making the new main characters believable or less wacky, if you will. Maybe that's the idea, that's the design. But personally, what I've seen of Jason, to me, he comes across more like a blank slate. Jason's acting especially has garnered criticism from many online that he's too milquetoast, too monotone, that he almost slurs his words and makes it hard to understand him at times, which I do agree. It is wild how Jason can be a main character of GTA 6 when we had writing like this in the previous game. We need help with something else. Some of the government, some of it is pretty corrupt.
01:39
Speaker A
Not uh not your bit, right? Yes, but we're corrupt in a good way. Then again, the other problem is that the original writers of GTA and Red Dead are no longer at Rockstar anymore. I mean, Dan and Sam Houser, those are the guys who founded Rockstar in the first place, already left the company over six years ago. The Houser brothers weren't really programmers or artists or engine developers. They were storytellers first, right? Students of film, fans of pulpy crime movies like Goodfellas or The Godfather. Two brothers who, despite growing up in London, were utterly fascinated with American culture growing up. But I think in my opinion that because the Houser brothers were outsiders from America pretty much peering in, that that was actually what led to GTA's greatest strength as a game. Because Grand Theft Auto didn't just imitate America. It exaggerated a lot of what it actually was. It took things like consumerism and turned it into a comedy. Politics in most other instances is seen as this cutthroat, oftentimes, let's be real, horrible thing to speak about. But in the hands of the Houser brothers, I mean politics became parody. Capitalism was also something they oftentimes made character of too. And everything in general when it came to how GTA told their stories was it was always bigger than life, louder and ridiculous. And yet somehow despite all of this, it was still believable and relatable too, right?
01:49
Speaker A
Like when people talk about Rockstar, they usually think about the studio. But studios don't write dialogue, right?
02:03
Speaker A
People do. And pretty much the entire time, one of the most important people shaping Rockstar stories, it was Dan Houser. Dan served, if you didn't know, as lead writer or co-writer for games like Vice City, San Andreas, GTA 4, GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2, Bully, Max Payne 3. I mean, this guy's fingerprints were everywhere, right? Not because he wrote every single line himself, but because he helped establish the tone of these games, the rhythm, the humor, and especially the characters. He's one. Ban him. I can't ban him. He's my goddamn husband. He's young enough to be her son.
02:16
Speaker A
Ain't the internet a beautiful thing, honey? Pretty much every character you love in GTA or Red Dead, you love it because Dan Houser had his hands in it somehow. Rockstar games weren't really just about being these violent gun simulators, right? They were always more interested in being controversial and characters speaking over one another and conversations oftentimes just wandering into absurdity.
02:31
Speaker A
Do it and nothing changes. I tell you what, my boy. You tell me exactly what you want and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be. What?
02:46
Speaker A
But this is why GTA's writing is so beloved because they are quotable in the same way a movie like Goodfellas or Snatch is as well. The reason why those movies work is because, yeah, the danger is real. Obviously, yes, everybody in it is an irredeemable criminal, but it's okay because they're funny and crazy. That's what makes it entertaining. I mean, just listening to Trevor and Michael speak to each other. It's so Goodfellas coded. It's painfully obvious. Doesn't mean it's bad. It's amazing, but that's what makes it funny. Be a little stressed out. Okay, but we still need you alive, Mikey boy. I mean, you know, at least for now.
02:54
Speaker A
Unless, of course, you have another surprise for me. Huh? Maybe something to do with another inappropriate friendship.
03:06
Speaker A
Yeah, that wasn't exactly Dave's fault. No, no, no. He's just the friendly face of a corrupt government agency looking to further his career by dealing with an equally corrupt and full to the brim with [expletive] low rent hood.

07:29
Speaker A
Yeah, that wasn't exactly Dave's fault. No, no, no. He's just the friendly face of a corrupt government agency looking to further his career by dealing with an equally CORRUPT AND FULL TO THE BRIM WITH [ __ ] LOW RENT HOOD.
07:42
Speaker A
LISTEN, TREVOR, LISTEN. I've been meaning, you know, I've been meaning I've been meaning to tell you, you know, I WHAT ME? WHAT DO you mean to tell me? HUH?
07:50
Speaker A
THAT YOU STABBED ME IN THE BACK OR THAT you were and always will be a worthless wretch who deserves to be put under?
07:59
Speaker A
YEAH. WELL, CLEAR AS DID YOU COME BACK FOR? OH, you know why. Ah, no. No, no.
08:05
Speaker A
One last score. Mhm. And if it goes good, guess what? I don't have to PUT A LITTLE BULLET IN YOUR HEAD. BUT IF IT GOES BAD, WELL, that's okay, too, because then you and I get to go to
08:19
Speaker A
hell. And I get to spend the rest of eternity with you, tormenting you. Well, I guess it's on then. But it's also that electric level of acting that made GTA 5 an instant classic to watch and play.
08:31
Speaker A
Because that's what it was, a movie level script that was being brought to life by people that most players honestly never even heard of before, which by the way, I love that a lot. I really do that Rockstar uses people that
08:43
Speaker A
are kind of nobodies, you know, in terms of acting, people really heard of, I guess, in mainstream wise, and then turning them into household names. And yeah, obviously they're doing the same thing with Lucia and Jason, which is
08:53
Speaker A
great to see as well. But I mean, what I've seen of Jason and Lucia, they don't seem to have the same level of explosiveness that Michael does in just him alone.
09:02
Speaker A
Hey, relax. I was just being sarcastic. Yeah, well, don't be all right because the world doesn't need any more sarcasm.
09:07
Speaker A
It's the blight of the age. Yeah, I get the point. You You don't get the point.
09:12
Speaker A
You're like every other [ __ ] You made a bit of money and you became a turd. Got news for you. I was always a turd. No, you weren't, MAN. YOU WERE SOMETHING. BUT NOW, MAN, you know, YOU'RE LIKE THIS PLACE. YOU'RE A SHELL.
09:26
Speaker A
Go yourself. Are you some kind of pure morally justifiable [ __ ] What? Because you're you're you're totally psychotic. Somehow it's okay.
09:35
Speaker A
I'm honest. All right. You're the hypocrite. Oh, yeah. You're a [ __ ] hero. SO FAR ABOVE IT ALL.
09:40
Speaker A
OH, YEAH. WELL, I'm not above ripping open your [ __ ] CHEST TO SEE WHAT'S REPLACED YOUR HEART. RIP IT OPEN. SEE WHAT'S THERE, BABY. CUZ I'M READY.
09:48
Speaker A
Come on, man. Knock it off. What? But maybe that's not the point. Maybe GTA 6 is about being more modern. But when I think about that, it also worries me because without Danhauser's writing to really back Rockstar up this time.
10:01
Speaker A
Sure, they have the world. They have the technology. The way that everything looks is crazy crazy ahead of everyone else's technology. Look, I get that all that's great, but what is any of that if the writing and characters are nothing
10:12
Speaker A
really compared to once was, right? It would be like having an amazing steak with the most ripe baked potatoes, delicious asparagus right off the grill and a really nice gravy to dip everything in. But here comes the drink
10:25
Speaker A
and it's, you know, piss in a cup with a written letter that says screw you on it that just kind of ruins your day. Like I'm not saying the GTA 6 is cooked, but am I worried? Oh yeah, you bet it. I am
10:34
Speaker A
worried cuz we've been waiting 12 years for this sucker to come out. This Thanksgiving turkey has missed many dinners already. It's been in the oven so long. I'm not even worried if the meat is dry. I'm worried it might burn
10:44
Speaker A
down the whole house cuz someone was stupid enough to toss it frozen into a pot of boiling hot water. By the way, did you know that that's a surefire way to cause your house to explode? Like seriously, like where I live in Canada,
10:55
Speaker A
there's actual news reports of people who on Thanksgiving, no less, tossed frozen turkey straight from the freezer, they didn't even defrost it, by the way, and they just threw it into a pot of boiling hot water. And you know what
11:06
Speaker A
happened? I'm not kidding. The turkey literally exploded. Everything gone. Whole house burned down. It's real. Look it up. Like the roof came off. They had to remake the whole house. Imagine thinking you're going to have a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner with your
11:18
Speaker A
family. But your grandma with cataracts just blew up the house cuz she couldn't be bothered to let the thing defrost first. What does this have to do with GTA? The point is you got to massage things. Okay? You understand? You have
11:28
Speaker A
to make sure that the perfect conditions are being set to enable for the best possible outcome. GTA 5 is like Rockstar was marinating that turkey in the richest of spices. And I am just hoping that GTA 6 does not burn the whole thing
11:42
Speaker A
down. Enough about turkeys. But look, the point is I'm worried about the writing and characters of well, every game I play pretty much for the most part these days. I tend to get my favorite franchisees frozen turkey more
11:53
Speaker A
often than not. I got to be real. I mean, Dragon Age, for example, is dead.
11:57
Speaker A
Every limb on that sucker has already exploded and now the franchise might as well be laid in an unmarked grave by EA at this point. You really think I want that for GTA? You're crazy. Can you imagine the backlash if Lucia and Jason
12:09
Speaker A
end up being modern audienced by the writers who took over GTA 6 from Dan Hower of all people? It would be backlash so subatomic it would peel the skin off a new Honda paint job from the dealership levels of radioactive. Okay,
12:22
Speaker A
I mean even GTA 4 back in the day wasn't afraid to say all sorts of problematic stuff. And that game starred Nikico Bellich, who by the way was a Serbian war criminal who fought during the Yugoslavian wars. Fun fact, I'm Serbian,
12:35
Speaker A
so Nico and where he comes from, what he says and thinks would be very critically eyed by someone like me. I grew up obviously Serbian. I drank raka. I eat chavape my whole life. I grew up around these Eastern European people all the
12:47
Speaker A
time. Are they crazy? Absolutely they are. They also say things that would make you know people in HR blow a gasket and need can like cancelling counseling due to how problematic half the things they say that come out of their mouths
12:59
Speaker A
these days. I mean, for example, right here's a clip from GTA 4. kind of tells you everything you need to know about how Dan Hower wrote GTA before he left.
13:06
Speaker A
Please watch this. What I know is he likes a fight and he ain't theing law.
13:10
Speaker A
Oh, no offense, mister. That ain't good enough. Well, it's good enough for me. He's a good lad, Jerry.
13:17
Speaker A
Was I TALKING TO YOU AND BRETT HALFWIT? I make a point of not talking to the unfortunate victims of brother sister marriage.
13:24
Speaker A
Don't you speak about my parents like that. OH, YOU'RE LIKE [ __ ] CLEOPATRA. 15 generations of brother sisters [ __ ] and you're so thick you take orders off MY IDIOT BROTHER PY WHO'S so stupid he had to tattoo HIS NAME IN HIS ARM
13:36
Speaker A
if there is a problem I'll go no trouble I have other ways of making money there's no problem Jerry just likes to think he knows best about everything which is why he's been married three times already and still won't admit he
13:49
Speaker A
likes men [laughter] [sighs] all we've ever been is [ __ ] working for guineies working for ANY [ __ ] WITH A BUCK A whole LOT SPENT IN A PROPER MANNER. Oh yeah. Winding women as quick as possible and remain a slave
14:04
Speaker A
forever. Very poetical. Yeah, I know. National tragedy. And this is what I mean. Okay.
14:10
Speaker A
Personally, from what I gathered from GTA 6 so far and what they've shown is this tonal shift is completely in the opposite direction of what GTA 4 and 5 did. All the games that Danhauser wrote were deconstructions of American life.
14:23
Speaker A
Whether it was through the eyes of a con man and witness protection, an immigrant arriving to America for the first time or even in eyes of like hitman like Tommy Versetti, who I honestly wonder if he's going to show up in GTA 6 given the
14:34
Speaker A
fact that it's the same city and all that. I guess we'll see. It's that I think by being, I guess, for lack of a better word, controversial, if you will.
14:41
Speaker A
This then allows GTA games and even Red Dead to yes, be shocking, yes, be problematic, but it also allows him to be something that a lot of other media is deathly afraid of being, which is authentic. You can complain and say
14:53
Speaker A
Trevor and Michael swear too much, that Nico's accent maybe is hard to understand at times, or whatever else you want to do. The point is that every character in GTA is based on stereotypes for a reason because they exist.
15:05
Speaker A
Franklin being a career criminal is just as problematic as Michael being a bank robber or, you know, Nico being a war criminal from Eastern Europe. But you know what? Good. I'm glad it is that way cuz the alternative is what exactly? The
15:17
Speaker A
Saints Rogue remake levels of writing. Uh, no thanks. I'm good. Did you know in the remake of Saints Row, if I remember correctly, the main cast there, like the Saints, they're millennials with student debt who then turn to a life of crime to
15:29
Speaker A
pay off their debts. Apparently, if that's not the most millennial slop writing you could imagine, and what happened to that Saints Row remake? Oh, they shut down the studio. Well, imagine that one happening. Really, what happened to Saints Row is a cautionary
15:42
Speaker A
tale, cuz that was a series that began as a parody of GTA, which was already a parody itself. And Saints Row remake really is the pinnacle of what never should be done with this sort of game.
15:53
Speaker A
Cuz Saints Roll Remake is what a feminist thinks these sorts of games need to be these days. And when they do make that, oh, nobody shows up.
16:00
Speaker A
Obviously, GTA 6 is going to make a lot of money. It's GTA. Who are we kidding?
16:04
Speaker A
But it's also a game that for me lacks Dan and Sam Hower. And at least for now, I'm not saying I'm not going to buy the game or boycott it. No, I'm not doing that. I am going to play it for the
16:13
Speaker A
channel. I'll review it and all that. But am I being trepidacious somewhat? Yeah, I am. Cuz I don't want to be the guy who throws the frozen turkey and the hot oil like Saints Roll remake did.
16:22
Speaker A
Okay. I want my games to be authentic and that means warts and all, too. Look, I love Red Dead Redemption a lot. I really love the first one. And I love it because John Marston as a character is
16:33
Speaker A
amazing. I mean, he's a terrible man. Don't get me twisted. Oh yeah, he's not good at all. But that's why I love that story cuz John Marston is not good by design. like the same way that Michael or or Trevor are about two steps away
16:47
Speaker A
from replacing the devil for that position, too. Pretty much the thing is is that I don't want Lucia or Jason to be redeemable characters. All right? I want them to be like the other GTA protagonists. I want them to be
17:00
Speaker A
criminals who are par crazy, but are also, whether you want to admit it or not, they're bad people. If I wanted to play a game with good people only, I would play Animal Crossing. Besides, I'm sick of, you know, politically correct
17:11
Speaker A
speech. Oh, we can't offend anybody. Enough with that. We're done with that nonsense. Okay, we got Sadie Sink twerking for Kelvin Klein jeans and Sydney Sweeney jiggling her god-given birthrights for a reason on mainstream television now. This thought experiment
17:25
Speaker A
of controlling behaviors and what people like or not, it's over. Okay, it didn't work. Like, when you objectively look at every character in a GTA or Red Dead game, it's the same, right? Nico, Roman, Michael Trevor CJ Franklin Dutch
17:37
Speaker A
Arthur, Ryder, whoever, John, it doesn't matter. These people weren't memorable because they had cool designs. Well, that helped obviously, but it was also because they felt human. They're all deeply flawed people with glaring weaknesses. I mean, Trevor wasn't just
17:51
Speaker A
insane. The guy is unpredictable. Michael is rich. Yeah, sure. But he's also miserable, right? Nico was was haunted by the wars. Arthur Morgan was wise and reflected, but also regretful.
18:02
Speaker A
Rockstar's protagonist, they worked because they always existed in these morally gray areas. You laughed with them, you hated them. Sometimes you would even pity them like John Marston, but that's really hard to do. But you need to be willing to show that ugly
18:15
Speaker A
side of someone in order to make them feel authentic and relatable. For me, so far from what I've seen anyway, Jason doesn't have that yet. Lucia maybe, but not really Jason, unfortunately. The other problem is that people like Leslie
18:29
Speaker A
Benzes, you know, he left the company too. And if you don't know who that was, he was responsible for producing and really turning the open worlds that Rockstar made into actual breathing locations. He left in 2016 and Dan Hower
18:42
Speaker A
unfortunately left in 2020. Then in 2023, Michael Unsworth also left Rockstar who, if you don't know, was another entangle writer to the creation of Red Dead Redemption 1, 2, GTA 4, and 5, and then on. Michael Unsworth also
18:55
Speaker A
served as Rockstar's vice president of writing. So yeah, another enormous creative voice that, you know, left the company before GTA 6 comes out as well.

So this is the first GTA game ever without really the people who spearheaded it, made this series what it is. And personally, at least in terms of the writing so far, I can feel it somehow. Will it still be good? I don't
19:15
Speaker A
know yet. No one really does but Rockstar. But the thing that worries me is that Rockstar's writing in the past wasn't just satire for the sake of it, right? They mocked everybody. Whether it was left, right, corporations, government, Hollywood, social media, it
19:28
Speaker A
doesn't matter. They had hands for everybody. The joke was that nobody was safe from Rockstar, right? The games weren't lectures either. They were exaggerated. Yes, I know. But they still trusted the player to understand the irony being presented, to see the parody
19:41
Speaker A
beneath it all. It was about laughing at how ridiculous everything has become. That's why the radio stations matter.
19:47
Speaker A
The the fake commercials, too, which were in the GTA 6 Netflix thing. So, kudos to that at least. even the NPC conversations in the background, right?
19:54
Speaker A
The fake websites that they made as well. It was about laughing at how ridiculous everything has become. The games were filled with commentary on everything. So, the fear for me, at least right now, isn't will the graphics look good or will the world be fun to
20:05
Speaker A
explore? Yeah, probably. I mean, we can see it in the Netflix extended look, right? Everything looks great. The fear is can Rockstar still sound like Rockstar without many of the people who created Rockstar's voice now that they're gone. Because writing a good
20:17
Speaker A
game isn't something you can just download or, you know, copy and paste. is something that really develops over time through the collaboration and the shared taste and experience through people who worked on these games that understand the kind of humor and this is
20:30
Speaker A
key nuance that something like a GTA requires. But tomorrow together I never had a black son, but if I did, I want him to be just like you. Modern Rockstar has already gone back into GTA 5 and removed many of the jokes, if you
20:48
Speaker A
don't know, that were made about transgender people, for example. That's real. Look it up. We know Rockstar has sensibility training in the in the past.
20:56
Speaker A
That was mostly forced, by the way, on their white developers. How do we know?
20:59
Speaker A
Because I broke that story years ago on this channel with proof. By the way, everything from how GTA 5 was made has changed coming up to Grand Theft Auto 6.
21:08
Speaker A
The company has changed. Studios evolve. I get that. But in Rockstar's case, so much is writing on this game that while I'm sure the initial sales and whatnot will still be great, I am worried that the longevity won't be there in terms of
21:21
Speaker A
say the characters if the writing can't match what was already done before. I just wonder how much of the original Rockstar survived the transition, right?
21:29
Speaker A
Cuz GTA is supposed to be fearless. It's meant to be a game that made people uncomfortable for a reason, cuz it mocked everything, even the people playing the game. That confidence is what makes Rockstar unique because they never had to ask for anyone's
21:42
Speaker A
permission. They just did things and didn't really care what anyone thought about it. So, whoever is the lead writer on GTA 6, they have one hell of a job to live up to there because they're not just writing a game now. They're going
21:53
Speaker A
to have to like outdo Grand Theft Auto 5 somehow. You have to outdo Dan Hower of all people, the guy who made Rockstar's beloved cast of characters up to that point. honestly sounds like an impossible standard to live up to
22:05
Speaker A
because whatever current Rockstar does will inevitably be compared to their greatest work and that's really not unfair. That is how things will happen no matter what they do here cuz Grand Theft Auto 6 may become Rockstar's greatest achievement, right? It may
22:17
Speaker A
introduce unforgettable characters. It may feature writing that surprises everybody or it may feel fundamentally different and awful in a way too. We simply don't know yet. But what we do know is that the people responsible for defining Rockstar storytelling across
22:31
Speaker A
well two decades and then some are really no longer sitting in those writer rooms, are they? And that to me is what makes GTA 6 one of the most fascinating things to come out from games. Because after all the stupid we had to deal with
22:43
Speaker A
in the past, from Spider-Man being taken out by fridges or Dragon Age, you know, launching itself into the sun to be atomized. Rockstar now of all people has to answer a question they really never faced before, which is, can a studio
22:56
Speaker A
like them keep its identity after the people who created that identity have already moved on? Like that's the real challenge to see, right? Who cares how big the city is or or the graphics or if they add more side content? That's cool,
23:08
Speaker A
but none of that matters if the writing and the characters suck. So, the next chapter of Grand Theft Auto won't simply tell us what Rockstar has built so far.
23:16
Speaker A
It's really going to tell us what Rockstar has become. And that kind of worries me, guys. I got to be honest.
23:21
Speaker A
But look, I hope the game is great. I hope Jason and Lucia are amazing. I really do. But I'm going to be real that I have trepidacious feelings about all of this, man. I really do. But what do
23:31
Speaker A
you think? Can Rockstar Today live up to what they did before without the key players? Or is this a disaster just waiting to happen? I know the game's not going to flop. I don't want it to or anything like that, so don't get it
23:40
Speaker A
twisted. But will it still be relevant culturally is the question here. Let me know. Thanks for being here. Subscribe if you want to and see you guys next time. And all I know is there's no way that Rockstar will ever outdo Trevor
23:52
Speaker A
because that guy is one of a kind. What was that? What was that? Uh, NOTHING.
