Not only that, a couple days later, we are going to be putting on all the fiberglass to waterproof everything in.

So, we need to put our furrings on, insulation, board it all out, vapor barrier, then do all our upstands. So, this is pretty much the direction I've been wanting to take the channel in for a little while. Full build, we're talking

concrete, drainage, driveways, roof, floor, actual brickwork and masonry itself. Pretty much the entire build now, because, in all fairness, we hardly do any brickwork anymore. It's all main building. Last couple weeks I've been doing joinery. It seems a shame not to

share it. And also, I quite enjoy it. Also, it'll be so much better for me in the long term as well. People aren't interested in just brickwork packages, they want the full shebang. So, it's going to be a proper bonus for me in the

No. Sake. So, we're just about to start putting on our furrings. So, furrings are just a bit of timber that cut from nothing at one end and rising up to something at the other end. So, these are 70 mm furring

extensions only 3.2 m at its largest point and then goes down to like 2 and 1/2 m over there. So, we've got plenty of fall. We'll get these up, start bashing them in before putting on our OSB.

[music] 3115 3115 The furrings on, what we need to do now or in a little bit is cut around our opening, get the OSB on and start framing up with the same angle we have here all around that opening. So,

need to also put on the insulation and then the boards. So, that's got to be tomorrow and then we're also going to start doing the What wall is it? Parapet. We're also going to start doing the parapet wall as

well tomorrow. We ended up having to cut this back to allow for the two quarter brick work, plus bed joints, plus our soffit to fit under. So, that was something that in the future we will make sure to do. We put everything on

like this and then realized that we had to cut that back. But, obviously, we don't do this every day.

That's where top of roof actually finishes. Got 150 mm upstand all the way round with fall, so that's sound.

works internally to allow the window to sit on. So, now we need to start putting all the insulation in. We've picked up some 250 and 50 mm screws. No, t

Hopefully, we don't miss the joist. So, we're going to start getting all of our insulation down. Vapor barrier is all swept and clean, ready to rock and roll.

So, we'll start the next stage of the flat roof. Don't think I've ever spent that much money on screws.

need three more boards to get this all wrapped up. We are gluing in between all of the joints just like we do downstairs. That just make sure that we've got a pretty much watertight system before all the fiberglass and all of that stuff goes

on. And then don't pull it out with straight up and flip. I feel nice.

We're able to get on all of the fascia and soffit. Not only that, we was able to get down all of our 100 lag bolts to actually anchor all the insulation and the top OSB board into our rafters

and furrings. We got made pretty good progress yesterday getting all of the floor down and today is going to go around putting all of our truss clips on as well. So, all these truss clips are they're a bit like

our double hanger clips to anchor the joist down to the wall plate. So, these need to be all filled with twist nails just like how we did our double trimmers a few days ago.

Pretty much anywhere where there's a double trimmer or a joist that is actually coming off a double trimmer we've got these joist hangers. So, you can see how we've got joist hangers everywhere and also joist hangers onto the sole plate that has been bolted to

the existing property. So, next time we're here we're going to be putting on all of the fiberglass roofing system.
