There is no deck in this browser yet. Make one in the flashcard maker, or use another tab. Open the flashcard maker →
Decks are kept in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere for this option.
One “term — meaning” per line (a dash, tab, colon or semicolon works). Paste a plain text instead and the longer words become the terms.
The sheet and the key print separately, so the key never ends up on the student’s page.

How it works
Worksheet Generator in three steps
Choose the material
A lesson as a source, a deck you made, or a word list you type.
Tick the sections
Matching, fill in the blanks, word bank, short answer, spelling list.
Print the sheet and the key
A4 or US Letter, black and white, the key on a separate page.
What you get
A worksheet with up to five sections you tick: matching, fill in the blanks, a word bank, short answers and a spelling list. It has name, date and class lines, fits one page at the default size on A4 or US Letter, prints in black and white, and the answer key is a second document, so it never sits on the student page. You can also fill it in on screen and press Check answers.
An example made by the tool
Made by the tool from the library transcript The New Deal: Crash Course US History #34, 12 key terms, run on 2026-10-31.

- A 1935 law that established unemployment insurance, aid to the disabled, and retirement benefits funded by payroll taxes.
- A program that built dams in the Tennessee River Valley to control floods, prevent deforestation, and provide cheap electric power.
Fill in the blanks. Word bank: Tennessee Valley Authority, FDIC, Social Security Act, Wagner Act, Keynesian economics.

- Government intervention reached its highest point, however, in the ______.
- For a while, the U.S. government under FDR embraced ______.

Limits, from the code
| Item | Limit |
|---|---|
| Items per section | 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 (short answer: at most 5) |
| Terms used | The first 60 terms of a deck or list |
| Matching | Needs at least 3 terms that have a meaning |
| Fill in the blanks | Needs at least 2 usable sentences, from your text or from the meanings |
| Source with AI | 200 to 60,000 characters, up to 24,000 read by the model; 10 uses per device per day |
| Paper | A4 or US Letter, black and white |
Sentences for the blanks are taken from your source text when there is one. From a deck they are built from the meaning: the term is blanked inside the meaning when it appears there, otherwise the blank stands in front of the meaning. A plain text without meanings gives terms picked by a simple rule (longer words that come back in the text), not by AI, so matching and short answers are unavailable.
What is sent where
The deck, typed-list and text options run entirely in your browser; nothing is sent. The source option sends the text of your source (the PDF text, the transcript of the video, the words of the recording, or what you pasted) to an AI model service to write the sheet. We keep the finished result for up to 30 days under a hash of the source, so the same source is not written twice; we do not store the source text itself. Your decks and anything you save stay in this browser.
How teachers use it
- Pick a deck you made, paste a word list with one term and its meaning per line, or add a lesson video as a source.
- Tick the sections and the number of items.
- Check the sheet on screen, then print it for the class.
- Print the answer key separately and keep it.
Workflow checked on 2026-10-31.
Answers
Worksheet generator: frequently asked questions
How do I make a worksheet from a word list?
Open the Type or paste tab and write one term and its meaning per line, separated by a dash, tab, colon or semicolon. Press the button and tick the sections you want.
Can I make a matching worksheet?
Yes. Terms are numbered on the left and the meanings are lettered in mixed order on the right. The key lists the right letter for each term.
Where does the answer key print?
On its own page through its own button. It is never part of the student sheet.
Does it fit on one page?
With the default sections and 6 items it fits one page on A4 or US Letter. More sections or more items run onto a second page.
Can I use a deck I made in the flashcard maker?
Yes. Open the From my deck tab. Decks are kept in your browser, so the same browser must be used.
Is the worksheet generator free?
Yes, without an account. Only the AI source option has a daily limit.
