Hello everyone, and welcome to the Famous Mommy channel on YouTube. Please take a moment and subscribe to our channel down below and like our videos. Thanks so much for watching. Today, we woke up and decided we were going to take a nice little family walk together. As you can see here, I'm breastfeeding my baby before we decide to take off. Mommy is definitely excited to go for our walk because it ends up at a Starbucks. I have to admit, it is somewhat difficult to get the girls ready to leave the house, so I nurse them first to make sure that oxytocin is released and they get nice and calm for our walk. Nursing my infant and my toddler can sometimes take up a lot of time. We made sure to put our sunscreen on, and then when I put them on the breast, I realized that some of the sunscreen may have gotten on their face and maybe tasted yucky when they decided to breastfeed. So a little advice from the Famous Mommy is you probably should wait to put on your sunscreen until after you've nursed your children and just before you leave the house. Please note that I am NOT a skincare professional, so please talk to your dermatologist about what works best for you. I gotta go. Once the girls' bellies were full, we decided to open the door and get our belongings and get out of the house. It's so much fun taking walks with your family because it's good for the exercise, it's good for the children, and you get a little vitamin D from the sun. My cute little babies, the honor is almost ready to walk. She sure crawls well, and now she does that crab crawl trying to stand. She can stand on her own for a few seconds. Look, I got the baby, the baby all strapped in hers, and some tang all strapped in yours, and we are go, go. Hold on tight, girl. We're going. So much fun to walk. So this is our exercise for today. We're going on a nice little stroller walk for mommy to go get her coffee. Yay, and away we go. Hello, don't forget to stay hydrated. Halfway there, my adorable toddler decided that she wanted to walk next to mommy. I made sure she was on the inside of the sidewalk away from the traffic just to make sure that this mama bear could protect her. Definitely remember to bring a first-aid kit if you have a toddler and you're going on an outing because one wonderful thing about being a breastfeeding mommy is when my baby or my child gets hurt in any way, I always offer the breast. That oxytocin sure does wonders to calm the babies down and to make them feel much better. Oh, and there she goes again. We are running and skipping and jumping and having a wonderful time. I love making every opportunity I can a learning experience for my children. Finally made it to Starbucks. Yay! And now we're having bananas and eating some yummy food for breakfast. It was such a wonderful walk. We finally got home safe, and here's babies. We had a nice long walk, and mommy was able to get her coffee. After our nice long walk and getting home, the baby wanted to nurse again, so here we are, and that's what we do. We had a nice, nice walk. Very fun. We walked probably a few miles. You know, we probably walked a few miles. If you're a breastfeeding mom, you definitely want to offer the breast to your children as much as possible to keep from getting engorged and keep up your milk supply. My children didn't drink as much milk today, so I felt my breasts starting to get engorged. This is why I was only offering my left breast because that was the one that was bothering me. Engorgement happens when the breast gets too filled with milk. The way to alleviate the pressure is, of course, to drain the breast. This can be done a number of ways, either by your baby, which is the most effective way, or you can pump or hand express the milk to make your breasts feel much better. Making sure you get that milk out of the breast is very important so that it does not lead to a clogged milk duct or mastitis. If and when you're ready to stop your breastfeeding journey, there are many safe ways to dry up your milk supply without causing clogged milk ducts and mastitis. When the Famous Mommy is done with our breastfeeding journey, I'll definitely let you know some of those methods and remedies in order to dry up your milk supply fast and easy without causing you any discomfort. Always consult your doctor or your pediatrician to make those decisions together for what is best for you and for your family. Finally, I was able to get both of my girls to completely drain my breast milk so that my breast wasn't engorged any longer and the discomfort was relieved. Please note that this video is for educational purposes only and depicts the real life of a breastfeeding mother. Put it on my nipple, but they had one on their face, so I think what happened was that I put the sunscreen on and it got on their face and the nipple. They can taste it in their mouth, and so now it's yucky. Scented soaps and other sorts of things can also look your skin taste funny and make the baby not want to breastfeed. So if you are a breastfeeding mom, I definitely recommend watching what you put on your skin and what you put into your body. The World Health Organization recommends that women breastfeed their babies until at least the age of two. My toddler is now two years old, becoming two-and-a-half and close to becoming three years old. I'm actually thinking about cutting her off soon because it is somewhat of a challenge to keep breastfeeding her at this point. One good thing about continuing to breastfeed my toddler is that her suction actually keeps up my milk production and makes me have an abundance of milk for the baby, expressing into a bottle, unless she decides to get all the breast milk out right now because I can feel it getting engorged. You know, they didn't drink as much today. Oh no! I hope my coffee didn't have a little too much caffeine because my kids are totally rambunctious now. Definitely limit your caffeine intake to less than 300 milligrams a day. I only allow myself one cup of coffee because what I put in my body mostly comes out in my breast milk as well, so my kids do get a tiny little bit of caffeine from my one cup of coffee. According to our doctor and our pediatrician, though, one cup of coffee is still safe to be able to drink and still be able to breastfeed. In my opinion, there is nothing more fulfilling than being a mother. We have our moments, but being a mom is just the most amazing thing in the world. Having these two beautiful girls to care for and love is like the whole meaning of life to me. For this very reason, it is definitely recommended to have a gate at the top of the stairs and at the bottom of the stairs to make sure that your child doesn't fall down the stairs. Normally, I have this gate in place. Today, I did not, but I was right behind my baby as she was trying to climb up the stairs. Isn't she adorable? Time for another short nosh. Here I am feeding my baby once again, but I'm standing this time to keep her away from the toddler and have her a little less distracted. I'm holding her in a football hold and holding her head in my hand to make sure she's supported in all the right places. I find that singing to my baby while she's nursing keeps her calm and right in tune with mommy. Some of my fondest memories of growing up were when my grandmother used to sing me little songs as a child. I will never forget those songs. I still remember them today. Thank you so much for watching the Famous Mommy. We hope you enjoyed this video. Please subscribe to our channel below, like our videos, and we'll see you in the next one.
