Speaker A
I'm definitely not the biggest guy in the gym or the strongest guy, and certainly not the fittest guy.
Speaker A
I'm kind of just a guy. So, I located the biggest, strongest, and fittest men on the planet to take me through their routines that gave them that exact title. And maybe, just maybe, I can become more than just a guy.
Speaker A
Let's go to Scotland to meet with the world's strongest brothers, Luke and Tom Stolman. And our day is starting at 7:00 a.m.
Speaker A
Are you excited? No, man. We have the Scottish wind off to our left. I learned right away that Luke is the more insane brother and he wanted to jump off this. So why, why cold water?
Speaker A
For me, it makes my head feel really good. I can think of a much straighter, powdered way to achieve the exact same effect.
Speaker A
You still get a sniffy nose, don't you? Right, guys, take some off. So we let him do it and he broke his leg, which I'm not going to show you. So Tom and I went to the beach and ran into
Speaker A
the cold water together. I think I prefer jumping in. This is just a slow torture. Look at these waves. Wa!
Speaker A
Oh my God. It's like I'm swimming with a whale. A very jolly Scottish whale. It was definitely uncomfortable when you first get in, but once you get used to it, it actually feels incredible and gives you an instant boost.
Speaker A
Oh, warm. That's not my hand, Tom. Now, with Tom being nearly 400 lb, we had to quickly get changed and make our way over to his favorite restaurant for breakfast. There's one for each of us. Do we just walk into the
Speaker A
kitchen or what? Eating with you. It's like we're filming a freaking dinosaur documentary. Look at all these eggs. Freaking eight eggs. How many calories you eat per day? 8,000 calories a day.
Speaker A
8,000 reasons to be happy, man. Come on, man. You don't need to be doing all that. Do it dry.
Speaker A
Oh, dry. Oh, you like it raw. Uh-huh. I thought eight eggs, bacon, and half a loaf of toast with butter was it, but then more showed up.
Speaker A
Beans. This is the best way to do beans. Like, at what age did you realize you were no longer a normal size human?
Speaker A
So, I started the gym at 16 and after a year, I was like, "Yeah, I'm not normal anymore." I seen these biceps go from 4 in to 8 in. I seen my legs go from 4 in to 7 in.
Speaker A
And then just boom. I seen my head go massive. And I was like, "Yeah, I'm getting big." Luke got me into the gym. He had been doing strongman. I got to rekindle my relationship with my brother. Got to do the gym that
Speaker A
I thought I'd hate. I had my hood up, didn't talk to people. And then for some odd reason, there was a voice in my head saying, "Don't quit." Went to the gym. Three months into it, I got so
Speaker A
addicted to it. I love seeing the changes physically but also mentally that I could talk to people. I could, I started like being able to express myself more. Ask people for spots. I did a lot of things that I didn't learn in
Speaker A
school in the gym. Eighteen years old, went to a strongman gym in Inesse, half an hour from us. Watched Luke do a few competitions. I was like, he's just rolled a car with his bare hands.
Speaker A
Yeah. He's not just going in lifting bars and barbells. He's actually lifting things that shouldn't be liftable.
Speaker A
I want to do that. And then he took me into a strongman gym at 18 years old and we started training hard together and that's how it kind of created myself and Luke.
Speaker A
After breakfast, we made our way over to the Stolman HQ that's dripped out in World's Strongest Men trophies.
Speaker A
This is where we're going to prepare for one of the most brutal workouts I've ever done.
Speaker A
I do red light first. So basically that's fat loss, skin, muscle, joints, sleep, and pets. I don't know why.
Speaker A
For pets or the dogs, man? No pets on. So I might try my dog or something. Jesus. See, I do muscle because before the gym red light to me means go. And then this.
Speaker A
Yeah. This oxygen. It's a big one, man. It's a wheelchair access. Do you ever feel fat-shamed by fitness products?
Speaker A
Fat-shamed by fitness product? Yeah. Did you buy a wheelchair one? Like, yeah, exactly. Yeah. This, you're beautiful. Don't worry.
Speaker A
I'm not beautiful. This should go up to about 86% to 90% of pure oxygen you're breathing in.
Speaker A
So, red light and the hyperbaric is the ultimate pre-workout cocktail, I think. So, yeah. If you ever wondered if you have dormant claustrophobia, try getting in a hyperbaric.
Speaker A
Oh, this is with this guy. You better not fart, bro. We've had eight eggs and beans.
Speaker A
This is a ticking time bomb in here. Literally, I feel like I'm your girlfriend wearing your shirt.
Speaker A
Hello, sexy. Yeah, I refuse to believe this is a normal size shirt on you.
Speaker A
It 100% is a normal size shirt on me. Are you serious? Serious? It’s actually kind of snug.
Speaker A
I know. It's a bit, a bit too snug, isn't it? You're looking dapper. So, explain to me what we got here.
Speaker A
Yeah. So, we have got in here is protein, pure protein. We have got square bars.
Speaker A
So, we have two of these each, pan of fruit each, and then cakes for the dessert palette. What are these little things?
Speaker A
Um, we are a millionaire shortbread. Millionaire shortbread. Yeah, just a circular version of them, but much nicer as well. There's caramel in the middle. Wait till you bite that.
Speaker A
This is definitely not the pre-workout meal you'd expect from the World's Strongest Man, but eating 8,000 calories a day, he needs to find things that are fast digesting and easy to get down.
Speaker A
Let's go strawberry for strawberry. Obviously, I'm really enjoying what's in front of me right now, but I'm also terrified this might make me a little tired for the workout coming next.
Speaker A
The new gym. The new gym, baby. I love how the Atlas stones are all here. Someone could just take them, but I guess no one probably could actually lift them, so it doesn't matter.
Speaker A
If you lift that, I will literally let you have whatever one you want, so you try. They're good seats.
Speaker A
That's why I love them. It's only 180 lb. Yeah. No. Yeah. So, yeah, we're safe.
Speaker A
This is the Stolman Brothers' personal gym that is fully stocked for literally anything strongman. Before we actually get into heavy lifting, we warmed up our body with a little bit of cardio. Oh man, I think I might revisit one of
Speaker A
those cookies. Then we did some core work, rear delts, and some mobility. Let's go. We, Tom, you ready?
Speaker A
Now it was time for the actual lift. Starting with a 10-minute clean and press, e-com every minute on the minute.
Speaker A
I have 185 lbs on the bar and Tom close to double with 330 lb.
Speaker A
This is my first time back in the gym since I bulged my disc. I'm just such an idiot.
Speaker A
Yeah, just open door. True. Each set is only one rep because we're training for maximum strength, which is a lot different than what's to come with the world's biggest man. One thing you notice right away is once the true
Speaker A
lifting started, it got serious and the joking around completely stopped. That one was free synchronized. That was sick. Woo.
Speaker A
Next thing we're doing is what? Single overhand. Single dumbbell. Yeah. And we're, that's your dumbbell.
Speaker A
Uh, this is my warm-up one. This one. My dumbbell. Time to move on to the next exercise, which is just tiring to even bring the weights over.
Speaker A
Yeah, you can do that. You got it. You got it. You got it. You got it. This monster dumbbell is 176 lb, which is extremely heavy, but I think the hardest thing about it is the handle is so
Speaker A
thick. Like, can you grip your whole hand around this thing? Like, this would be like holding on to the rock.
Speaker A
Okay, you almost get there. Jesus Christ. Jeez, man. Whoever invented strongman hates lower backs.
Speaker A
I started with regular human dumbbells in hopes that eventually I could attempt one of the monster dumbbells.
Speaker A
That was too easy. The higher your block, the less you have to press. You're down here.
Speaker A
Oh, you're going to have to press the whole range. When you're up here, this is the press. When you're down here, look at the differ.
Speaker A
Yeah. there. Even though everything was just one rep, this was way more tiring than any gym workout I've ever done.
Speaker A
Nice. Yeah, let's go. Boom. Woo. I had a little hold on that one, too.
Speaker A
Woo! We got world's strongest man coming up in a couple weeks. Time for the big daddy. I feel like this thing requires like four hands together to finish, not one.
Speaker A
Holy [ __ ] [snorts] Go. Nice. Tom was dialed here, which was super cool to see, but also terrifying to be this close.
Speaker A
She went three. What? What the heck? [screaming] There we go. Yeah. Boom. Boom, man. Straw man will.
Speaker A
Yeah. It's too easy. I'm not usually ever surprised by myself. That was just a moment there.
Speaker A
Thankfully, we're moving on to the last exercise of the day, which is outside. Tossing these little bags 8 m doesn't sound like it would be all that hard, but Oh, that was over.
Speaker A
Damn, that was that was not good. I'm going to be on the other side and try to catch it.
Speaker A
Oh my god. Oh, that one. Woo. Those had juice to it, [music] man. I almost died like three times. Once the workout was finished, we hopped right into the sauna to begin the recovery process.
Speaker A
Is sauna a big part of your routine? Sauna is massive part of my routine. I think it's one of the most underrated pieces of recovery uh bits you can do. I have one in my house and I do it
Speaker A
religiously every single night. We should really be icing our balls in here. My hands are cold. I can go down there if you want to.
Speaker A
I usually do it about 2 hours before bed so my body can cool down and the sleep you get is it's unbelievable and it's a nice it's a nice relaxing place. You can meditate in here as well. But yeah, I love I love
Speaker A
this. It's the number one piece of kit that I use for my recovery 100%.
Speaker A
And you can't break your leg in hopefully. All of this bonding time together and Luke out of the picture, it seemed like I was slowly beginning to replace him.
Speaker A
Time to eat again. And this time we were joined with a special guest I never thought I was going to see again.
Speaker A
Boys, I'm okay. It's just a broken leg. It's fine. What are you doing? At least at least you've still got both the legs. One of them just a bit broken.
Speaker A
I mean, so this is the appetizer before our main course. Usually you get like a garden salad or something like that, but cheesecake. Yeah, we're celebrating it broken leg.
Speaker A
Yeah, it was clear anything on the menu was fair game at all times. There really wasn't any dietary restrictions. It was all about calories. I'm a fast eater, but I could barely keep up with these guys.
Speaker A
Mama, don't share things here. Eat it. Okay. Cheese. Next, the main course. Steak pie with fries and some veggies.
Speaker A
Good. There wasn't much talking. They were both very hungry. And then to celebrate the end of the day.
Speaker A
Cheers, guys. What are we cheersing to right now? To stop recovery. Yep. and to becoming an onen stoman.
Speaker A
Well done. Let's go. Smooth swallow. And then another little egg's all good now. Just look. I'm feeling I'm feeling extra cuddly right now.
Speaker A
The next one. Cuddly. [laughter] I'm full. I'm sore and [music] slightly drunk. But I love these guys so much.
Speaker A
Unfortunately, it's time to leave. Now it's time to meet up with the biggest man on earth, Mr. Olympia champion Derek Lunsford.
Speaker A
All right, so we're here with three time Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford. I want to be professionally enormous today.
Speaker A
You look enormous. I Dude, I I feel I feel like like a freaking empty tube of toothpaste beside you.
Speaker A
Are you prepared for the day or what? I I I don't I think so. I don't really know what to expect.
Speaker A
Yeah. All right, so let's do some check-ins real quick. Is this the bedroom shot? This the This is the bedroom shot. This is the bedroom shot. My body dysmorphia today is going to be at an all-time high.
Speaker A
It's really insane to see the size and shape of his muscles, especially during non-contest season. Unlike strongman, it's important to keep body composition in check to make dieting for a show much easier.
Speaker A
You're very balanced. Am I? Yeah. Just not my not my cal. Can we do a cap shot here?
Speaker A
What the? After photos for coach, we did our weigh-ins. People are going to do once we're at foot picks right now. They're not going to believe how light I am right now.
Speaker A
What is it? 251. 251 lbs at 5'6 [music] is absolutely massive. And it's much lighter than his normal weigh-ins.
Speaker A
So 251. What do you compete at? 240 242. So I'm pretty light. I'm pretty light right now.
Speaker A
Wow. I think I'm going to be 194. Oh man, it's getting shredded, man. Yeah. Olympia right around the corner.
Speaker A
All right, let's put our clothes back on. Can we do that? Before having breakfast that you wouldn't believe we're having, we must go through some fasted cardio in the garage in Florida.
Speaker A
With it being off season, I like to do like four times a week probably is pretty good. I don't like to do cardio on leg days like when I train legs.
Speaker A
So today's not leg day. Today is not leg day. Yes. So I mean there's really no surprise we're having eggs and oatmeal for breakfast. So how many calories a day are you eating right now?
Speaker A
Honestly, I don't even count the calories. I don't know. Like at the end of the day, we can add it up, but I just kind of go meal to meal and I I have a certain amount of macros that I do,
Speaker A
carbs, fats, and protein, which do add up to your calories, but I don't really track that. I track more of like each meal's macros, and I adjust from there versus just the calories.
Speaker A
This breakfast is simple and delicious and much less intimidating than our strongman breakfast. That's good.
Speaker A
I love honey. You love it? Yeah. [laughter] I was wondering. I was like, "Dude, he's going to like it or what?" So, what's the number one thing that people watching right now could do to help them get bigger?
Speaker A
You got to eat, man. You got to wake up early and you got to eat as soon as possible. That's the problem is that yes, we just did a few things, my morning routine before eating the first meal, cardio and the and and the update
Speaker A
photos. But the sooner that you can get up and get that first meal in, it's going to be a lot easier. Yeah. You know, cuz think eating five, six, seven meals a day, how are you going to cram
Speaker A
that into a short window? Small window. Yeah, you can't. Right. Sometimes I have to stay up an extra hour or two just to eat my last meal.
Speaker A
Now, being the best bodybuilder in the world, there's no surprise that lifting and eating is pretty much Dererick's full-time job, which is why not too long after breakfast, it was time for meal two. And Dererick brought something with
Speaker A
him to Chipotle that I think all of us thought about and wish we had the confidence for.
Speaker A
It's like 300 g. Our portions go in ounces, so it's 4 oz portions of everything.
Speaker A
Perfect. Getting the scale out at Chipotle is one way to not get skimped on the protein.
Speaker A
Exactly. Dererick likes to be precise with his macros, which is why the scale is so important. If you're actually curious what a real double protein portion looks like, here you go. Chipotle, if you're watching this, step it up.
Speaker A
The amount of chicken that we got in this bowl, that would be like asking for 5x chicken. Like, I've never seen that amount. Like, that's that's what you should be getting.
Speaker A
And it's delicious. Yeah, it's very good. I mean, again, we've had eggs and oats, chicken and rice for lunch. You're like the most basic as it gets. I got I got one more thing we got to eat before we train.
Speaker A
One more thing. One more. But hey, you're going to enjoy it, though. Don't worry. You're going to like it.
Speaker A
After Chipotle, we went to Derek's gym, Champs Elisium, which is stacked with some of the best equipment I've ever seen.
Speaker A
So, pre-workout, two muffins. [music] Two muffins. Think you can handle two more muffins? I think I can. I think I can. Although, I am kind of triggered. It's not donut.
Speaker A
Donuts. Oh, I feel like donuts are healthier than muffins, but muffins just have better PR.
Speaker A
I don't know, man. I think so. 350 calories, 17 g fat, 44 carb, 5 g of protein.
Speaker A
Hey, 5 g of protein. It's a protein muffin. You get more protein, I think, in donuts.
Speaker A
We can get 10 10 g of protein out of this. Cheers, man. Being a pro bodybuilder is fun until prep kicks in.
Speaker A
I was going to be fine. With our bodies full of carbs and sugar, naturally the next step was to get extremely [music] caffeinated.
Speaker A
So, are you a high stim guy? No, actually not. Uh, this one super high stim. It's so strong I have to do half scoop.
Speaker A
Oh, really? Yeah. Half scoop. I just want a quality workout. [music] Feel a little something along the way.
Speaker A
You're about to have one, let me tell you. Here are some colors. Yeah. Between the muffin and this pre-workout, let me give you a little extra.
Speaker A
I feel like the m the muffin's already like taking like is taking action here.
Speaker A
Just wait. Like your skin looks vacuum sealed. Hey, just wait. We got to do that. And then extra pump here. Since we didn't get the full pump from this one, going to do a little extra pump here. And then
Speaker A
the creatine, of course. Uh something like that. Yeah. [laughter] M. That's it, right? Yeah. It tastes like candy. Yeah. It's good. Time to get big. Let's go.
Speaker A
Yep. Good. One at a time. Come on. One at a time. Good. That's it.
Speaker A
Done. Yeah. You're already pumped, bro. Right here. Look. Turn around. Show the camera. Yeah. It's already lit up.
Speaker A
It's a muffin, man. Something Something's working. This workout is about to be a lot different than Tom's.
Speaker A
So, with Tom, we didn't go above three reps. I feel like we're not even going to start counting out loud until like 10. Like it's everything's a failure right?
Speaker A
Yeah. I don't remember the last time I did only three reps. Yeah. Yeah. But hey, sports specific, [music] right?
Speaker A
Yes. Going for a different goal. My goal is to, you know, to be the strongest in the world. I'll probably do just three [music] reps.
Speaker A
Three reps. Biggest. What? Biggest. We don't count. We don't count. We don't count. All right. So, I'm doing my top set 10 to 12 reps roughly. I mean, just take it one at a time and and we'll just keep going.
Speaker A
Okay. Oh, yeah. Okay. One at a time. One at a time. Eight. Good. Let's go. All right. Come on. One at a time. Come on.
Speaker A
Come on. One time. 10. Let's [clears throat] go. Come on. One at a time. One time. One time. Let's go.
Speaker A
Nice. Again. Again. Again. Come on. Again. Again. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Come on. Two more. Two more. Two more. Two more. Two.
Speaker A
Two. Two. Last one. Last one. Last one. Straight down. Slow. Slow. Slowly up. Nice. Perfect. Perfect.
Speaker A
Woo. Yeah. 15 is good. 15 is good. Pumped. One set. Ready? Yeah. Are you ready?
Speaker A
I don't know. We need a You need a You need a rest. I'm ready to go.
Speaker A
Okay. All right. I'm ready to do a tricep push down. [laughter] Help me a lot.
Speaker A
When it was time for the top set, you immediately see the seriousness that kicks in on his face. Nothing else matters other than dominating the set, which was exactly what we saw in Tom earlier in the video.
Speaker A
Okay, two more. Let's go. Yeah. One more. Go. Nice. Okay. Good. First exercise. Let's go hit a different angle here.
Speaker A
Look at him walk over here. What is that? Huh? What was that? Nothing. What?
Speaker A
What? What? Do I look like that or what? [laughter] Here, I got something for you, bro. All right. I got two options. This is kind of my This one's my favorite straps.
Speaker A
Also, these have been pretty worn out. If you want to use these two or these worn by you.
Speaker A
Yes, I'm wearing them now. Okay. All right. Good. Nice. Just in case you forgot if he's Mr.
Speaker A
Olympia, all the plates say Olympia on them. That's so sick. It's nice, huh? Yeah. On a level of 1 to 10, how pumped are you right now?
Speaker A
I'm getting there, man. You're getting there. like six sevens. I don't know what I do.
Speaker A
Yeah. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on, bro. It may look like these reps were easy, but he was helping me with an entire stack of weight each rep.
Speaker A
That's what I'm talking about. Now you see why we ate all that food. Yeah.
Speaker A
Is it normal to see black spots? 11. 12. Okay. Three. One. Two. One more. Go.
Speaker A
Yeah. It's nothing. Nothing. If I stand behind you, I don't even know if the I don't know if they I don't know if they can even see me. Actually, this see I think you just see the top of my
Speaker A
head. We finished both pull down exercises. So, we moved on to our first of two rowing variations.
Speaker A
Every rep. Let's go. Come on. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Right here. Right here. Come on.
Speaker A
One more. One more. One more. One more. One more. One more. Up. Nice. That's it. Do you feel like there's a benefit to like even if you can't get a force rep in to kind of just do some of the movement?
Speaker A
Yep. That's why I was like do one more cuz I knew you weren't going to be able to get it.
Speaker A
Yeah. Or at least chances are I didn't think you were going to be able to get it, but that's okay. That's good. Doing a couple extra like partials.
Speaker A
Partial. Super beneficial. Nice. My back by this point was screaming. I'm not used to this many reps and this much volume for the back.
Speaker A
So, hey, good good stuff, bro. Last back exercise. Yes, last one. Go. Is that Was that a working set?
Speaker A
No, no, no, no, no. Just like 10 10 reps. All right. Then we'll do two sets of 12 to 15 and then we'll be done. 12. Easy. Come on.
Speaker A
Come on. Nice. One more time. Good. That's great. Go. Okay. Whoa. Good [ __ ] man. I think I'm going to see a light on this one.
Speaker A
Nothing. Eight. Come on. Easy. Come on. Come on. Nothing. Come on, Will. Nothing. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. One more all the way. Pull it.
Speaker A
Pull. Pull. Pull. Pull. Pull. Slow. One more thing. One set of biceps. Not one set. One exercise of biceps.
Speaker A
We have to. It's a must. It's a must. Have to do it. With back complete, we then moved on to biceps with the same philosophy. Going to failure.
Speaker A
You look like 3 weeks of improvements. I know. In what? 6 hours. Muffins. Yeah.
Speaker A
A horrible amount of caffeine. [laughter] and training to failure. Holy [ __ ] dude. I I can barely even like look at myself right now.
Speaker A
I look like I'm like a before you take creatine ad. Hey, great workout, bro.
Speaker A
Thanks, dude. Good stuff, man. Yeah, it was not lightweight neither. No, that was a good amount of reps.
Speaker A
Textbook form. Craziest pump. Yeah. The amount of food was my downfall. You think [music] so?
Speaker A
Yeah. Would it make you feel sluggish or do what? What do you think? It's like right here.
Speaker A
Really? Yeah. Oh, we'll keep it down. You need recovery. Yeah. Post workout, Derek likes to do a couple minutes of posing, which I I I did my best. Then, of course, protein to capitalize on the anabolic window.
Speaker A
I need some protein, man. Well, [snorts] it's good. We have options. So, for me, I would say this is probably my favorite one. I'm going to go with this one. But either way, isolate protein is what you want post-workout.
Speaker A
It's fast [music] digesting, fast absorbing. So any good isolate protein is going to be perfect post-production immediately.
Speaker A
Wait, this one's out. This one's out. I told you this is my favorite. Never mind.
Speaker A
How many scoops? [music] Two scoops for sure. So you want You only do two scoops. I feel like you need like two scoops every minute. This 25 g of protein per scoop. [music] So usually I do like 50 to 60 g. So
Speaker A
you need four to six scoops, bro. I mean [music] it's like one scoop's enough for your damn toe. Thanks.
Speaker A
It's the swirl like this and then the shake. All right. So, I think you started shaking it too fast.
Speaker A
The technique matters, man. Because if you don't, you might have it at the top.
Speaker A
I can feel it like shuttling to like biceps. Like, actually, I thought you couldn't get any bigger.
Speaker A
Now you're growing even more. Yeah. Crazy. Jeez. Look at that, bro. Put it down.
Speaker A
Put it down. Put it down. You're scaring me here. Good day today, though, man. I had fun, man.
Speaker A
Yeah, me too, dude. Yeah. A lot of food for you. Yeah, dude. Yeah. Was it biggest guy in the world? I mean, obviously I was expecting a lot of food.
Speaker A
Yeah. Well, hopefully you fit in a seat in the airplane today. Yeah. Our last stop on this tour is South Carolina to meet up with the current fittest man on Earth, Jason Hopper.
Speaker A
We're here with the fittest man on earth, Jason Hopper. That's right. That's quite the flex, man.
Speaker A
That is fittest man on earth. You like you you like walk around like No, I do not. No, I [music] I'm like the most exceptional average person. That's what [music] we call the fittest man on earth. We're just average at everything. We're not
Speaker A
exceptional at anything. Think about if you were better than everybody at one [music] thing in the entire world. You know how cool that would be?
Speaker A
That would be cool. I'm not the best at anything, but [music] you are. Like I mean I'm the most I'm the most average at something.
Speaker A
But that turns out to be the best at something. That's right. Yeah. But like if fitness was a religion, [music] you'd basically be the pope. [laughter] That's a crazy way to say.
Speaker A
Yeah, you would. So, breakfast. Breakfast. What is it? Right now, we're um getting some sausage cooked. And we're going to put this these eggs in here. Make a little sausage uh egg scramble.
Speaker A
Okay. And then we're going to throw down some English muffins. Yep. Eat a banana, giant cup of orange juice, and we'll be ready. Considering Jason is a much smaller human than Tom, their calories are not far off, which means
Speaker A
[music] today we're going to be burning a ton of calories. How many calories you eating per day?
Speaker A
Uh, just under 6,000. I feel like this is like the eating part of the routine is probably the only thing I can actually keep [music] up with you on, I think.
Speaker A
And maybe I spoke too soon because the way he eats breakfast is kind of crazy.
Speaker A
I'm going to eat while I wait for my English muffin. You don't put the English muffin on the eggs like No, no. You dude, you can eat you can eat the breakfast however however you would like. Like I'm like I'm the eager
Speaker A
alter today. You're the you're the pope. I'm following you. We're just trying to get the eggs down as fast as possible before the English muffins are ready. It's really like we're preparing for a suicide mission.
Speaker A
So you incorporate fitness into your eating. You just don't sit. That's right. Just like you got to just keep doing something.
Speaker A
Everything is for time around here. Dude, relax, man. Dude, I'm all This guy's This guy's neat probably. He just walks in like [laughter] What's your resting heart rate?
Speaker A
38. Really? [laughter] Yeah. Holy [ __ ] What is yours? I'm measuring my heart rate right now.
Speaker A
81. Are you nervous, bro? You good? Is that okay? I'm like I'm just trying to follow you.
Speaker A
English muffin sandwich. Tons of butter. Tons of jam. [laughter] I'll put less butter on next time.
Speaker A
Eating breakfast was really like a mini circuit workout. It was a lot of food that I'm unsure I can fully digest in time for the workout.
Speaker A
Did you ever get scared going into your workouts? Every day. And do you make them yourself or do you No, I got a coach. Okay. Okay.
Speaker A
It's always easier to do it with somebody with a partner. Yeah. It's like, all right, like I'm not the only one going through this.
Speaker A
I'll be good entertainment. 99% of the time back there by myself. Nice little short commute to the gym.
Speaker A
It's in the backyard. It's right here. This is beautiful, man. This is it. I don't see a lot of machines. They're just scaring the [ __ ] out of me. Is this one of many workouts today or just one
Speaker A
workout? When you say workout, there are going to be many workouts in a session.
Speaker A
Okay, what's a session? A session is going to be probably five or so pieces. [music] I mean, I consider lifting a piece and then we'll do the conditioning piece and then we'll do like some plyometrics. So, we'll do some
Speaker A
accessories. So, all these are like grouped into one session. Okay. So, how long is this in total?
Speaker A
I'd probably be done at 12:30. [music] For reference, it's 9:30. This is a shift at work for Exactly. So, then I'll go in.
Speaker A
This is not a workout. I'll probably chill for a couple hours, eat lunch. Yeah. IV drip, take a nap, and then come out here for another couple hours. With the amount of training we're going to be doing today,
Speaker A
it was no surprise before we started anything, we had to go through a very extensive mobility routine to get the body warmed up.
Speaker A
Widen the knees, man. Widen. Yeah. Give me the knees wide. I don't have a [ __ ] mat, bro.
Speaker A
[laughter] Hey, I got some space. All right, we're doing pio work. All right, we're going to do three sets [music] of seated broad jump and then seated vertical jump.
Speaker A
Okay. All right. Watch. I have no idea what you're saying. The reason we're doing plyometrics is to prime the nervous system, allowing us to recruit muscle fibers more rapidly, which will improve the quality of the upcoming explosive barbell lifts.
Speaker A
There you go. Nice. All right, you want to do it so much that you're almost you almost like [music] push yourself back to standing.
Speaker A
Perfect. [laughter] All right, you're you you should be ready to go. First movement of the day is power cleans.
Speaker A
All the way up, triple extension into a catch. Okay, this was so much more technical than I expected. Even with no weight, it was difficult. But this wasn't even close to what I was [music] in store for later
Speaker A
on. [music] Was it that felt good? And because I survived just the warm up, it was time to dip into the snack [music] supply.
Speaker A
Oh, applesauce. Yeah. M. It's good. Yeah, that hit. Yeah. I'm now I'm ready to clean. I'm getting a little bit confident. Like too confident.
Speaker A
Zoe spent a [music] long time slowly working her way up in weight to get to our top sets.
Speaker A
[music] All right, we got belt squats. And he was like, "We have eight sets." And then my jaw dropped. And he's like, "Two reps." And I'm like, "Oh, two reps speed work as fast as possible out of the hole."
Speaker A
Holy [ __ ] [music] just warming up. So that doesn't count as the Okay. So we basically doing like 12 sets.
Speaker A
We really didn't add a lot of weight to the bar, but the focus on pushing up as fast and hard as possible was making it so much more tiring. On top of that, the only rest we had was when the other
Speaker A
[music] person did their set. All right, coach. All right. Whenever you start off with a little g like a laugh, it's just Yeah, it's going to be [laughter] This is the This is the main piece. This is uh
Speaker A
this is what you you came here to do. Yeah. All right. It's four sets of two rounds.
Speaker A
Are you ready? Yeah. 12C cal echo bike. Nine burpees over feed bag. Six box jumpovers.
Speaker A
Okay. And then 45 to 60 seconds of max squats with the bag. I really had no idea what he was explaining to me right now would actually destroy me in under 30 minutes.
Speaker A
This main piece is four sets of two rounds for a total of eight rounds. It consists of 12 calories burned on the bike, nine burpees over a sandbag, six box jumps, and 45 to 60 seconds max squats with the sandbag. After every
Speaker A
second round, we get 3 minutes rest. Please wish me luck. All right, it's time for for the fun.
Speaker A
I told him to scale and he did not want to. He's always scaling the height of the box because we don't have anything to make it higher.
Speaker A
Yeah. And just just to say these bags here are 100 pounds each. So I told him to go lighter. I told him to do less calories on the bike. He wants to do as ridden. So uh yeah, he doesn't know. But we listen to
Speaker A
country music. I'm okay with that, man. On the first round, I actually kept up with him, which sounds great, but it's actually a horrible sign. It means I went too hard [music] too soon, and it's going to catch up to me.
Speaker A
[ __ ] Oh fine. Second set, it hit. By far, the max squats in 60 seconds was the hardest thing at this point. [music] My lungs and my leg muscles were screaming.
Speaker A
5:33. This feels like a hostage situation now. Yeah, dude. [laughter] I don't think I'm going to survive.
Speaker A
Eight rounds of this. There's no way. After my first 3 minutes rest, I knew I had to get serious and lock in if I even wanted to complete this.
Speaker A
The most insane thing is throughout this entire workout, Jason's pace didn't even change once. It almost looked easy for him.
Speaker A
[ __ ] I want to leave. I want to go home so bad. [ __ ] We're only halfway.
Speaker A
And yes, we did get to a point where I was getting more than lapped.
Speaker A
Doesn't matter about the time. We're just going to finish it no matter what. I'm beside the best freaking guy in the world.
Speaker A
It's freaking sick. I was barely jumping over the sandbags. They [music] felt like they were 3 ft high.
Speaker A
Even though I look miserable, [music] these kinds of workouts that push you so far beyond your limits and make you so uncomfortable are actually my favorite.
Speaker A
You can't think about anything else other than the task in front of you. No.
Speaker A
Go. Where? Once this workout was finished, I was so exhausted and so sick of being in the gym, I needed to go outside and get fresh air.
Speaker A
My heart rate's 151 right now. [sighs] That was humbling. [panting] The fact that he does that every single day alone.
Speaker A
Psychopath. Like I was so bad at it and you were so ahead of me, but it was something that I just loved. And I feel like at least for me when I was younger, I missed out on so many opportunities
Speaker A
because I was afraid I wasn't going to be the best. For sure. And so then it's like then you just all you have is regret.
Speaker A
I was thinking about something the other day just like the the gift of being exposed.
Speaker A
Exactly. It's like you can either make that can make you insecure and like kind of hide or it could like give you awareness of where you need to kind of put more effort into.
Speaker A
Exactly. So, I just think people should just throw themselves in situations where they suck.
Speaker A
Yeah. You know, my heart rate's still 142. Is that it for the workout? Yeah. Want to go eat?
Speaker A
Are we having like a a [ __ ] pizza party? Like you're going to the buffet or like No, we would ruin everything we just did.
Speaker A
All right. So, postnatural disaster reconstruction here. Yeah. Um, just beef and rice. And can we can we actually sit and eat this one?
Speaker A
We're going to sit. We're going to We're going to sit down and eat. I thought we were going to be doing some burpees while we eat. [laughter] This meal came out to just under 1,000 calories. With the way Jason trains,
Speaker A
it's so important for him to track every single aspect [music] of his nutrition. I recommend using the Macro Factor app. It's the quickest and easiest way to track your calories. The database is so extensive. It has everything you're looking for. So, if
Speaker A
you want to give it a shot, you can use code will to get yourself 2 weeks free.
Speaker A
Wow. I thought I was in shape. Now I'm realizing I'm just ashape. [laughter] He said that was the hardest hardest workout he's ever I think. I actually think it was. I'm also dramatic cuz I'm a YouTuber, right?
Speaker A
But like it still like [laughter] it still just did feel like the hardest thing I've ever done.
Speaker A
We literally just finished lunch, but we had no time to waste. So, it was back outside for workout number two.
Speaker A
All right, round two. Round two. I should last a little longer this time. Yeah. Thankfully, [music] this portion is skill work, which doesn't take as much effort as before. But unfortunately, I'm really, really bad at this stuff.
Speaker A
Here, let me grab your feet. [laughter] Hold it. Hold it. [laughter] [ __ ] man. This is terrifying.
Speaker A
Hold it. Hold it. [laughter] Are you good? No. At least Jason was having fun. Let's [laughter] try the handstand one more time.
Speaker A
No, I'm not. You're just laughing too much. I can't trust you upside down. [laughter] Next skill. Next skill.
Speaker A
All right. Butterfly pull-ups. Yeah. Do this. Do this. [laughter] Hey. Hey. Here [clears throat] you go. There you go. [laughter] Here you go. All right. Come down. Come down. Come down. Come down.
Speaker A
[laughter] Let's see how max for you. Wow. Keep going, man. Oh my. I think like I I lost. I can't even count that high.
Speaker A
That was That was [ __ ] sick. Okay, your turn. Okay, there you go. There you go. [laughter] I'm not the greatest uh coach.
Speaker A
Oh, hey, you laugh a bit too much, dude. This is hilarious. Then to finish off this workout, we did another circuit which was 150 skips with the weighted rope right into 75 snatches. Jason's doing double jumps, but I can't do that,
Speaker A
so he made me do 200 skips. All three of these athletes we hung out with for this video all had one thing in common. You could see the passion in the work they're doing. There was time for fun, but once the work started, it was
Speaker A
time to give it 100%. I may not be the strongest. I may not be the biggest and I may not be the fittest, but one thing I know is they'll never be able to [music] take away my title as the
Speaker A
fastest man on Earth.
