Oh, [ __ ] do it again, do it again, do it again. No, what do I say? Welcome, welcome. Uh, we are back. This is our fifth, fifth, yeah, fifth episode of Beyond the Platform. That camera, by the way. So today we have our special guest. We have our SI here. We are also trolling our new layout if you guys like it. So yeah, what are we going to be talking about today? So obviously we got C on and um, she is fairly new into the PAL scene, but I think a few of the people know her already just from her last film. But yeah, we’re just going to get an idea of like how it’s been and what she’s going to look at moving forward. 'Cause how long have you been palting? Almost a year now. Almost a year. A year, yeah. I didn’t realize. Yeah, last November. Yeah, so first stream ping and she’s made some pretty huge strides already, so we’ll see how we go. Um, yeah. If you didn’t know as well, this is Tommy. I’m Tony. This is Sienna and that’s David. Hi. Yeah, it’s also really hot. I’m sweating. Yeah, it’s really hot in here. Oh, I didn’t realize I was on. Yeah, yeah. Um, so let’s get straight into it. You want to ask the first question, David? Um, so Sienna, what’s your current experience a year into powerlifting as a high school student? But that sounds was my so it’s like what the hell just happened NPC moment. Um, it can be pretty challenging at times, especially in the lead-up to comp, having to juggle study and gym. But overall, it’s not too bad once you, once I got into like a good routine with the gym in school, I found it fairly easy to manage everything. Are you doing well in school? Why are you laughing? It’s a question. It’s a question. Yeah, I’m doing right. All right, doing pretty good. The grain s what year youing? You 10? Yeah, you got two more years. Still really old. I thought you were year 11. That’s actually crazy. She’s younger than Johnny. Um, what’s the like the most challenging in terms of school? Is it like studying? Is it trying to find and like after school, like having to get the energy off school? Or is it like studying or probably to find time for studying for exam fa? So you enjoy pal more than studying? Oh, definitely. He doesn’t. What do you mean, Tony? Tony doesn’t. I just do numbers really. Yeah, he just does numbers. I don’t do numbers. You can be like sister in playing soku. How do you juggle like what’s your what’s the routine? Is the um usually I wake up early in the morning so I can do my first workout, get my steps in before school and then go to school for like six hours and then come home and then have to train which probably takes like 3 hours but it shouldn’t but it does anyway. I have to refrain from. I remember I can’t say anything. There was a period where I think it took you like 3 hours to deadlift 'cause you were just talking to people. She’s making friends. 'Cause I think we started, we started Deft at like the same time and then I finished and then I went to bench and I finished bench and then I finished my accessories and Si was still deadlifting. I don’t know how accurate that is. Yeah. And then finish training, go home, finish my steps and try to fit time for study. And what time is that already? But the time I get home is probably like 7:00. That’s not too bad. Something not too bad. Yeah, 7 considering if you look at how we are today, like we stay back for a very long time. Yeah, yeah, like right now I’ve been here for nearly. Yeah, we started this a lot later than we were supposed to. Yeah, I didn’t even realize. I think I’ve been here for like 6 hours now. Yeah, you even longer. You got here like two. He got here first. 8 hours. Los my [ __ ] mind. That’s not too bad. Like as a uni student, you’ll probably experience the same thing. So hey, going to uni? Do you plan to go to uni? Hopefully, hopefully. Hopefully. Do you have any idea what you’re studying on the law? Oh, wow. So if I turn criminal, you can bail me out. Sure. All right, this got law. She’s get into criminal. Oh yeah, criminal. You go. Yeah, see criminal law. So you have to, you have to actually try hard at school. Yeah, maybe 'cause that one isn’t, that one a bit harder. Yeah, just still early anyway. You just try hard on your 12. Yeah. Do you see a potential career in powerlifting or in the fitness industry? Can you hear me? First for bullying you, bro. See, he thinks you don’t have a career in here. Can you hear me? All I, this David, this is what I’m. Okay, that’s what um, do you find a potential career or maybe like a side hustle in the powerlifting career or like w? So it’s just a side thing for you. David, this is Sienna. If you watch the first episode, this guy only does it for content. Anyways, this is about Sienna, so let’s tick it to Sien. So um, yeah, I feel like from how much I’ve progressed in the year, I feel like I definitely want to pursue it in the future and I kind of do want to find a career out of it. Feel that’d be really cool 'cause I’m also really enjoying powerlifting more than I am studying for some point. Um, but yeah, Mama Sienna won’t be happy to hear that. Make sure she doesn’t watch it. The next question leading up to it is how does your parents feel about it? Honestly, they’ve been really supportive of the whole thing. That’s good. Um, our parents, when I told them I wanted to do powerlifting, I think my dad found this gym. Like he was the one who was going and looking for powerlifting gyms and I found Tony and then from there, like they’ve been so supportive, especially like comp prep and stuff. It was crazy. Like, um, if anyone was there at her first comp, like wow, she probably had like the loudest crowd. It’s like it was the most energy. Yeah, very like, like whenever she walked out, it was just like 20 people. Like it was just her family. When you ask one person to come, they ask someone else and then it gets to the whole family. It’s like half my family was there. I’ve never had that many people come to here. Really? Yeah, we have two people, maybe two people and they’re always on their phone. Was they like love? I was sorry. I had to say, I have to say I was just waiting for it. What the [ __ ] was it? Yeah, but it’s like it’s also like reminiscent of like Nat bus at nuts. Oh yeah. Oh my God, that was like your energy was like cannot UNP Park. I’m not going to. But I mean for a local comp and your first comp ever, it’s crazy. Yeah, like your support group is insane. Like they’re so, they were so chill with like you going on board with everything. I was like, oh, was do my first call? Like okay, sick, what do you need? Yeah, 'cause like I needed equipment and I went to buy. Was your Christmas present? No, I took a day off school to go get my equipment. [ __ ] itz stud strength only open till Monday to Friday, right? And I needed the equipment, so I’m like, can I have a day off? And they’re like sure. So he spent a whole day getting equipment. So prob they be fine with you just doing gym stuff forever. 100%. I’ve really talked to out of school. Yeah. Oh, if you want to drop out of school, you talk to Vince. It. You catch that on the first episode? First episode. Yeah, like um, your next comp is in nine weeks now. I think eight, eight sh. What comp is it? SPD C, the St train comp, that one. Yeah, yeah. How do you feel going into that one versus your first one? I think I’m more excited than nervous. I was definitely very nervous. It was my first comp, but now I’m really excited for it. I don’t know, can’t wait to go back on the platform. That’s good. Very excited. That’s good energy. That’s good. Um, what would be the difference in terms of novice and this one? Like what the first one wasn’t a novice. It was a St. It wasn’t. Yeah, better than you and like 12 years younger than you. Yeah. How do you feel that? How do you feel going into your first comp? I was very, actually I wasn’t nervous leading up to it, but the day of, like that’s when all my nerves came from. That’s when all my nerves came. But like leading up to it, I was more excited, but then the day I just like all that excitement went out of the window and I was just really nervous until my first squat. And then after my first squat, I was fine. Yeah, like you say, yeah, it’s like after the first squat you’re good. Yeah, yeah, sometimes, sometimes. Yeah, like when you started pal.
