Speaker A
All right, so I built a six-figure digital product business on Pinterest, and it is truly my favorite platform to sell digital products. And the best part about Pinterest is you don't need a massive following to start, and you can actually do it faceless. Pinterest really is unlike any other social media platform because it's actually a search engine just like Google. So people use it to find solutions like how to get healthier, and if your digital product provides that solution when they search, they're likely to be interested in your product. And because [music] Pinterest works like a search engine just like Google, your posts can stay searchable for a really long time. So one post has potential to drive traffic and interest for months or even years down the road. And just for transparency, I do want to pull up my actual dashboard [music] and show you my digital product sales over the last 12 months. And this is just from Pinterest, and as always, these are my personal case study results, and individual outcomes will vary based on your effort. But as you can see, we're at $287,000, and I'm so grateful for this. It actually took me months of trial and error just to figure out how Pinterest actually worked, but seeing the traffic pull through just makes this very much worth it. And again, everything I share in this video is just for educational purposes and is [music] not financial advice, as I can't guarantee your specific results. But I do want to pull back the curtain on exactly what has worked for my business so you can hopefully learn a ton. Now, I'm going to do a quick run-through of the five-step process I followed to grow my digital product business on Pinterest, and then after I'm going to go into each step with you in detail. So first, I picked a viral niche on Pinterest that solved a specific problem. Then I created two digital products as a solution to that problem. I also set up my website to sell the product. I started email marketing to build trust and drive sales. And then lastly, I posted four times daily to promote my digital products. So that summarizes it. Now, I'm going to go into each step with you in detail so that you can better understand my strategy. So the first step, as I said before, was picking a viral Pinterest niche that solved a painful problem. So viral Pinterest niches are like home decor and DIY, recipes and cooking, fashion and beauty, health and wellness, and also personal finance. You can even use the site Pinterest Trends to actually see what's currently trending. So, I think picking one of these trending niches can be an advantage. I'm, of course, in the personal finance niche. It may take you, of course, some time to figure out your niche, but you can brainstorm some ideas and use AI hopefully to help you make a decision. Now, I think it is a lot easier if you actually like the niche you pick or at least are knowledgeable in it, but you know, you can always just pick something and learn more about it as you go. Now, the next thing I did was create two digital products. One was a free one, and the other one I sold for $27. I think $27 is a sweet spot as it's basically an easy buy for a lot of people. Now, you're probably wondering why I created a free digital product. Well, offering something for free allows you to build trust with your audience because they gain value from you, and they don't have to pay for it. If they want more, they can come back and, you know, purchase your paid product. And in your free product, you're able to market your paid product as well for those who just need more help, so it works out great. And the free product can even build you a customer base as now you can gather your audience's names and emails and then eventually start email marketing, which I'll talk about more later. Now, in terms of the paid $27 product, it is a great price point to where it can be an impulse buy, and it's a simple product to create, you know, as your first digital product to see what your audience likes. And of course, with time, you can create, you know, multiple other digital products that, you know, are priced higher, and then your customers, you know, who already bought from you may be interested in your other products. When I first started posting, I was selling products under $30 along with some free ones, and now I've basically sold a variety of different products ranging from $20 to $500. But of course, we all have to start somewhere. Now, next I want to talk about how to actually create digital products. So, when I create my products, I like to make my free, you know, product a short PDF guide that's like seven pages, which helps your audience solve their problem. Then for the $27 product, I like to make it a mini guide that's around like 20 to 50 pages long, which goes into more detail. Now, before I even show you how I create my digital products, I want to share that from my personal experience selling, you know, digital products, the ones that solve a specific problem usually perform a lot better because people pay for solutions. So, for example, if someone wants to eat healthier, they may be interested in purchasing an eating healthy mini guide that gives them, I guess, simple recipes and meal plans. Or, if someone wants to save money, they may just buy a budgeting mini guide that shows them exactly, you know, how to cut expenses and start saving more each month. And if you're like me and you want to, you know, sell a product that solves a problem, then, you know, feel free to brainstorm with Claude or ChatGPT just by asking for, you know, some painful problems in your specific niche that could perform well on Pinterest, and you should get some ideas. Now, I've developed an AI prompt that helps me create excellent digital products, and I want to share it with you in case you want to reference it. It basically comes up with a free and paid digital product that can be sold. The prompt is quite long, so it'll be in the description along with all the other prompts I mentioned in this video. Once I figure out what my digital products will be, I just create the actual content of the digital products, which I use ChatGPT to help me with. And I've also created a specific prompt that helps me, you know, make my first draft of my digital product, which again will be in the description if you want to see it. Now, with the content AI creates, it's very important to fix it up and make it your own original version and add your own ideas to it because, you know, obviously you want it to be authentic. And honestly, it takes me a few days to do this, but it's super important so your product is actually your own digital product. So, for example, this is what the prompt was able to generate me, and of course, I'm going to fix it up and make it original. And again, it takes me a little bit of time. But once your product is pretty much done, the content is done, the next step would just be packaging it nicely in Canva so that each one is like kind of like a slideshow or a mini ebook, and you can then start selling it. So, I just love using Canva, right? 'Cause it's simple and it makes it look really pretty. So, once you're in Canva, you just have to click on templates, then type ebook or guide in the search bar. Then, I just pick a clean, you know, simple template and replace the text with my own content. Of course, you can like play around and, you know, add more slides and customize it however you like. And when it's done, you can just like download them both as PDFs, and they're all ready to go. And I'm talking about the paid and the free product because if you're like me, then you'd probably create the two. Now, one key element you should include is adding a slide at the end of your free product that promotes your paid product. Because this way, someone who actually enjoyed the free product and wanted more information could then purchase your paid one. Now, next step, I want to talk about building your website, and I love using
