You have 36 new dates on your tour, Stars Aligned, so that's massive.

How did that come to be? Like, did you just hear about that, hey, there's more demand and people want to see you across the world?

I don't even know. I mean, so I did my acoustic shows in December and that was kind of my first time like dipping my toe in for like my solo kind of headline shows, so those were like still crazy, beautiful venues, but on the smaller side too, so I got to do those which was a great way to kind of test everything and I just loved it and then we started these Stars Aligned tour dates with the intention of doing more later in the year, because I feel like obviously I'm so grateful to get to go around the US, but I understand that there's so many people in and across the whole, you know, all of the other countries, across the whole world, so I really wanted to try and hit as much of that as I could, because I understand, especially being from the UK too, that I'm always like waiting for these artists to come to London, I'm like, please come see me.

I don't even know. And I think it's so crazy that people, it it's hard to kind of comprehend the fact that people actually.

Want to come to the shows and are excited about them and anticipate them, but I just feel so lucky that I get to to do it and go to so many places, like I've never been to some of the places before, so I'm excited.

How often have you come to Toronto?

This is my, I think like my third or fourth time.

I guess kind of, maybe.

Familiar with our game, just a little bit.

My Toronto game is so great. But no, I haven't really had a huge chance to kind of explore, every time I've been it's kind of like in and out, but I love it here. I think the people are so nice, the crowds are great, um, so I would love to, I would love to do more Canada dates, because that's something that we didn't get to do on this leg of the tour and the next leg either, um, so I would love to do some more Canada.

And um, yeah, they're just the the greatest.

I noticed a little bit of a pattern, there's your name, Freya Skye, then we have Stars Aligned, Stardust.

And even your character in Zombies 4 is named Nova.

I feel like everything's very sky.

Yeah, so I was wondering what is your personal connection with the Cosmos?

Oh my gosh, I mean, I feel like my last name being Skye really kind of informed a lot of the creative for the tour and for the first EP.

Because I feel like I didn't want to call it like Skye or like Freya Skye, I feel like I want to save that, like for an album called that or something.

I feel like I want to wait on that.

And um, I don't know, I felt like the perfect way to kind of like start, I think it all kind of fits in the world very much.

And also I feel like something about like the cosmos and astrology, I feel like there's such a clear kind of like visual.

That kind of goes with that of like stars and it being dark and kind of ethereal and I loved how that sounded and looked with the music and stuff.

So, I don't know, I feel like again, like it all kind of like aligned if you will.

We're going to use that a few times in the series.

I know, it's like it gets it gets tiring after a while.

Well, I keep on like cracking these jokes that are bad.

But um, yeah, I feel like it just kind of all came together, right?

But I'm also super into astrology too.

I love golden hour. I feel like I would say like the vibe of the EP does feel very much like blue skies.

Like it feels like clear, maybe a couple clouds, but they're like super white fluffy clouds.

And very like that.

But I love golden hour.

I'm a huge golden hour lover.

And I also do just love when it's pitch black and it's like stars in the sky.

So I just love it.

Just not when it's foggy.

Do you get any moments at home where you can see the full stars, because I know you live outside of London a little bit?

Yes.

You've done your research.

Yes.

I live, yeah, I live just outside of London, so it's not like full city buzz and I have a beautiful view from my window of like this field and there's a windmill.

And um, yeah, you get a super clear visual of like the sky in the morning.

And then it starts setting, it sets right in front of the window, it's very like picturesque.

And I feel like it's very like countryside vibes and I love it.

Like clear as day, nothing like blocking anything.

Which is so nice.

Um, do you think that's a theme you would roll into a possible debut album?

Yeah.

Well, I mean, the album is definitely like coming.

Like that's not even anything I feel like I've been like secretive about.

I feel like I don't know if the star thing or theme will roll into that.

I feel like I'm a huge passion.

I mean, like learning from like the queen herself.

I feel like I love when every era is kind of defined by like something different.

And there's always something kind of differentiating them.

But, um, I don't know, for all we know, like that could be a theme that I'm like, I want to roll with forever.

And that's like the next three, four albums, I'm like, it all going to have like a kind of.

Overarching theme of like stars and the sky and like astrology.

But, um.

I don't know, I feel like it's too soon to tell.

I feel like I'm going to start writing and like getting in the studio for the album soon.

Which I think will start to kind of unfold and reveal what it's going to be like.

But, um.

Yeah, I don't know right now.

Yeah.

And then we'll we'll go on the journey with you.

But I'm excited, I think it's going to be a clear kind of like new beginning.

I feel like I love when everything is kind of like separate and like it's a new start.

Stardust felt like that for me with like silent treatment into Stardust.

I feel like that felt like a clear kind of like new step.

And I feel like for everything to feel like that is what I really want to happen throughout my whole career.

So, I think it will be clear when the shift has happened.

Everyone will know and hopefully we'll be excited.

Now, even mentioning that you have done a tour and you're going to be going on a second leg of your tour, what are the must-haves that you bring with you when you travel?

Oh my gosh.

Um, well, I'm going to try and bring my dog.

So that.

That's that's the must-have.

The must-have is my dog.

The must-have dog.

She I think we're actually going to try, because I just, I feel like I would, I feel so complete with my whole family.

Like that's just how I'm complete.

And I love being on the road, but I feel like I always feel like having my dog not there.

I'm like, that would just like push me over the edge of like incredibleness.

And um, we're going to do it, I think for like two.

So Ruby's going to be there.

Oh, cute.

But assuming everything goes right.

Yeah.

The stars will align.

Yeah, the stars will align.

But in terms of must-haves, I would say like a lot of vocal things are super important.

Like this is my tour where I'm singing everything 1,000% live.

Like there is no, no lip syncing here.

So everything's 100% live.

So definitely a lot of vocal like throat things and like making sure everything's healthy.

But I don't know.

Nothing's coming to mind.

Okay, no, those are all really good.

I think the dog is the most important thing.

Yes.

So everything else doesn't really matter.

Literally nothing.

If I have my dog, nothing else matters.

I could literally, I would trade my phone for my dog.

Um, I saw you did a little video speaking about, um, uh, resellers and scalpers.

And I was wondering why that was important to you to address.

Because I know other artists like Ariana Grande has addressed it.

Olivia Dean.

So.

Curious why that was important for you to speak about.

Well, I mean, I think it's just, it came from a place of just like.

It's just ridiculous.

The fact that these scalpers and bots, they have these mass like things where they can buy so many tickets.

And they take them away from the fans.

And it's so frustrating.

Because I do see so many videos after like on sales of people being like, I couldn't get them.

And unfortunately, while that is just going to happen.

I think a big reason why that keeps happening and the volume is so large of that is because bots are getting so many tickets.

And then reselling them for so much money, which is so unfair.

Like I'm not here for like unaffordable ticket prices.

I think that's so ridiculous.

I want everything to be accessible and I want everyone to be able to get tickets and come.

Um, and I don't want price or anything to be a reason that people can't.

And I think that it I just find it really frustrating the fact that bots keep getting them and reselling them.

And people get scammed.

So I feel like I wanted to do a video where I feel like over the past couple tours.

We've done like pictures with like writing on them, but I feel like it was important for this tour.

For people to hear it from me.

And be like, this is kind of my understanding and as clear as I can kind of say it in a way that hopefully everyone can understand.

And not get ripped off or like scammed for the tickets.

Because concerts should be accessible to everyone, it shouldn't be now a luxury experience.

That because it's not only just the tickets, it's the traveling to get there, there's a whole like, like the outfit you have to get.

So it's a whole debacle and if that could be alleviated, I'm like really commend you on speaking up about that.

On my career, so I feel like this of all times should not be the time that people are having to pay.

Thousands for these tickets, like this is definitely not that time.

Well, there'll never be a time.

But this is right.

Especially now.

Especially now is not the time, so I feel like it's important to speak out.

And I mean, yeah, like you say, other people are speaking out about it.

But it's getting so bad and with technology, like they can find so many ways around everything.

So I wanted to be, I don't know, start something which will keep going ahead.

For all of the next of my tours in the future.

But that can hopefully prevent it.

You brought up your idol, Taylor Swift a few times.

Yeah.

Um, I did see that you got a signed version of folklore.

So I'm wondering how that came about.

Yes.

I did.

So after my show at the Wilton in LA.

There were some people who I've been working with for the past couple years.

And I obviously, I feel like I talk about Taylor Swift with a lot of people.

I feel like the the world talks about Taylor Swift.

But I just admire her so much.

And they were like, you know, like you've brought this up a couple times.

And I couldn't make it to the show, but like I got you this instead.

Like I hope this makes up for me not being there.

And I was like, this more than makes up for it.

Like I was freaking out.

I've never run around so fast and like just screamed.

And I was so excited. I was so excited.

I felt so special, even though I'm sure there's so many of them in the world.

I was just like, she's touched this.

And it made my day.

And yeah, I now have it framed.

You have it framed.

So you're just going to put it up in your room.

I was like, no one touch it, you might smear it or like ruin something.

Like this is literally holy ground now.

Is there any one wish you have for this upcoming year?

Oh.

I don't know.

I mean.

I feel like to write my album this year.

I really want to finish.

I know, I really want to write it and get everything.

I would love to get a really good start at that.

I feel like Stardust feels like a great step into a direction that I'm loving.

But I feel like there's a lot of more like identity and and individuality that I feel like I'm still finding right now.

And I'm still learning about myself every day.

So I feel like finding that this year.

You can't rush that, but like I would love to rush it.

And find it like this year.

Right.
