Tell you a little bit about myself, uh, start with my family, been married for 17 years, we have a daughter who's 15, going to be driving soon, so, uh, pray for us, um, it's going to be scary times and expensive from what I hear, so.

Besides that, she keeps us busy though with all the sports she loves, um, she's a sophomore and she's played, uh, volleyball, basketball, and going to be starting track and softball here soon, so.

She also plays some club sports, um, her and her club team for volleyball are headed to Chicago this weekend for a weekend long tournament, so.

Like I said, she keeps us moving, my son's 10, um, loves his sports as well, he's into football, basketball and baseball, and he also loves his video games, I hear him out in the other room right now, gaming with some friends, so.

Overall, uh, they keep us busy and they're a lot of fun.During the summertime, you can always find us out at our camper, we got a 42-foot fifth wheel camper that we keep at a permanent camp spot, we build a deck on the side of it, it's 36-foot long, we covered it with a metal roof and then we got a TV under it, big table for, uh, eating and playing games, and we keep our griddle out there, so a lot of fun had out there.

She's even got her, her mom and dad out there, so the kids have their grandparents out there to hang out with all the time, so definitely making a lot of special memories out there with the families.

Uh, personal hobbies, when I'm not camping or working, I usually find me on the golf course, I like to golf, um, usually try to get out a couple times a week if possible, we have a group from the campground that usually gets out weekly, um, a lot of, a lot of fun times had out there, so.

Um, then also I'm a sports junkie, so I always got some type of game on the TV, um, even now with the Olympics, whether it's curling or skiing or anything like that, if it's a sport, I'm probably going to turn on the TV and I'm going to watch it.

Now we'll talk about some of my work experience, um, that's going to help me within this class and this, uh, cohort of classes as we all work towards our supply chain bachelor's degree, so.

I've now worked for Pepsico for 23 years, um, in the logistics side.

I've based out of Indiana, um, from Frito-Lay warehouse where I spent about 20 years of it, and now I work for our headquarters out of Plano, Texas, um, I'm a remote worker, but I travel 70% of the time, so they send me across the country to all our warehouses so we can, uh, go in and streamline all their processes, make sure their systems are running efficiently and try to, um, make the best out of the warehouses that we possibly can with our knowledge and our system knowledge, so.

I've used that, um, especially now being at headquarters for two years, working with some senior leadership to kind of propel me along and learn from them, um, the way, the way to speak, the way to talk, the way to communicate, um, a lot of the same agenda type things I've seen laid out for our class is going forward, um, seem to mesh with what I've been learning and trying to focus on as I try to propel my career, so, um, which leads into the next 10 years, where do I see myself?
05:40
Speaker A
Um, I hope it's still within Pepsico, um, they've been great to me so far for 23 years, I could see myself making it up to a director role, um, in one of our supply chain areas, focusing on improving warehouses hopefully, because warehouses where my passion is, um, I also hope it's somewhere warmer, um, we live in Indiana like I said, and these, uh, cold winters are, uh, getting rougher and rougher on me, so, uh, we keep tossing around the ideas of moving south and getting warmer, and we may see once the, uh, kids get a little older.

Speaker A
But, um, and if it's not within Pepsico for my career, um, hopefully I can take, uh, this degree I'm working towards and then my experience within Pepsico to, um, better myself and my family and find something that I'm passionate about and can, uh, keep improving myself until I'm ready for retirement age, so, um, looking forward to working with all you, um, through this class and through the many classes we're going to have together in the next year, and, uh, good luck to you all and, um, it's great to meet you.
