They said, tell us what to do.

What does God require?

He said, this is the work he called to, believe in the one he sent.

Not striving, not earning, just trust where heaven points.

It's not what you can give, it's who you believe.

I am the bread of life, come to me and you will live. I am the bread of life, every hunger finds its end.

Whoever comes, whoever finds, I won't turn away, whoever believes will never thirst again.

They said, show us a sign.

Like the manna long ago, bread that fell from heaven in the desert long ago.

He said, it wasn't Moses who gave you bread to eat, my Father gives the true bread now that brings the world to life.

They said, give us this bread every day, what you're asking for is standing here.
