Hello everyone, we got our lights pink because guess what, Blackpink is back with Deadline.

And today, we're here to listen to the album.

Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel, my name is Landon and we are here again today with a brand new album review.

Today, Blackpink came out with a brand new album Deadline that has five songs.

One we've heard already, Jump.

Very fine, passable song, not my favorite Blackpink song that I've ever heard.

But starting of an era and I'm here for it.

We have four songs to go over today.

I know YG hasn't filled it, I could not find lyric videos for one of the songs, Me and My.

I found one earlier this morning that was posted eight minutes ago and for some reason, it got taken down by the time I got home.

So anyway, we're going to listen to that one on Spotify, I guess no lyrics, but, you know, we'll do what we got to do.

But we're going to start with the brand new music video for the next single off this album called Go.

I'm excited for this new era, let's see.

I really do wish it was a longer album, but, you know what, I get it.

We're going to have that budget for sure.

Oh, they do look so good.

I'm in love with the point right there too.

I kind of like it.

I do.

Y'all know I eat this up, though, if it sounds like a machine is broken, I, I want it.

I really fuck with this song, y'all.

It's hitting my aesthetic perfectly.

I understand some people may not really enjoy it.

But they look gorge, gorgina, head to toe.

Why are we peeling our face off?

Not that kind of giving the Titan submersible earlier.

I kind of fuck with it, though.

This is my aesthetic.

That sounds familiar.

It's very heavy, like it could be a song on Mayhem by Gaga, you know what I mean?

Not too intense, but just enough to feel different, to feel like, you know.

I'm not going to lie to y'all, I think that was a hit.

I got to like it.

I will say this, I know that it's not going to be for everybody, this is just like if you type in what is Landon's preferred music taste, like I said, walk into a factory and one of the big conveyor belts is broken and it keeps going.

Like and that's what I call music, so if that doesn't make sense why I could like that, that's why.

I'll let y'all know if I don't like a song, I promise.

Jump was not my favorite, it was good.

But for some reason, this one just makes me and I could understand how this one may feel a little bit more empty than Jump was, but I don't know, preference-wise, this is my taste.

I will say, the video was really, really fun, they looked really good in the video too.

And I'm not going to keep sitting here and accusing everybody of using AI because at this point, K-pop has been doing videos that could have been called AI for years ago because they put so much money, CGI, talent, hard work, and art into them.

So now when we're seeing these videos with the brand new lens of AI, we're like, oh, that must be AI, but they were doing this shit way before then, okay?

So I'm not going to sit here and be that person that's claiming anything is AI.

It did give a little AI feel because I think that's what I'm surrounded by right now is AI.

But as far as the song,

clock, girls.

I like that.

Go.

I'm a big more fan of How You Like That, Shut Down, like that was like my, uh, just so unique to Blackpink.

Not unique to Blackpink, but unique in the Blackpink discography, which isn't that big.

But I enjoyed them there.

So this is just adding into it.

I do like this one better than Jump.

Sorry.

I know that's a controversial or not.

But, good job, girls.

I thought that was another good, a good little hit.

The next one we're going over today is called Champion.

Everything feels so strong and powerful.

I kind of dig that.

All right, slow it down a little bit.

This beat goes hard.

You can't lie.

That's literal verses.

They were going really hard in there.

What was that?

Yeah, I love producer moments like that.

Yeah, I love that little part too.

I ain't going to lie to you.

I like it.

I like it.

This feels like a school dance, you know what I mean?

Or I guess in the club.

It feels like so 2000s kind of.

I don't know how to explain it.

This makes me want to get drunk.

Any song that got a clap in it, I will shake my ass to it.

Now, why can't I find a lyric video of that song?

Why is YG being so secretive over that, but that was Me and My Girls.

Good job.

But that was Me and My Girls.

But that was Me and My.

I keep saying Me and My Girls.

It's not what it's called.

Me and My.

I liked it.

I think the simple beat in there too gave it such a fun, refreshing sound on this album with them.

We didn't have to have the crazy dubstep, even though I do love that.

I do love the crazy machine sounds.

Something about this, it, it gave me a little boost of nostalgia.

And I'm not sure why.

But it made me like feel like cranking that Soldier Boy.

It made me feel like pop, lock and drop it.

Ooh.

And I don't know how to explain why.

But.

It's giving anthemic.

It's giving me and my girls getting ready to go out pre-game song type shit.

And you know what, we got to give it to them there.

Y'all know I started out here reacting to BTS and everybody wants me to be a Blackpink hater.

I'm not going to be a hater of women creating art.

You know.

Because why would I do that, I think that every artist that puts themselves out there.

Deserves some kind of respect.

Except for that people of the group called Chaco or whatever.

Yeah, you didn't say neighbor.

I, I heard that song already.

So we're not going to be reacting to it here and giving them any more clout.

But.

With that being said, good job, Blackpink.

I think that that was another good, a good little hit.

The next one we're going over today is called Champion.

Everything feels so strong and powerful.

I kind of dig that.

It's kind of giving like a little Imagine Dragons, you know.

Is that too much?

Let's see if it has a drop or something.

This one does feel a little bit emptier, lyrically.

Production-wise.

It's got a little vibe to it, but.

Like I feel like this was the the build up right here.

I want the big moment.

They're going to do it this time.

Not my favorite on the album.

I thought we were going somewhere.

I wanted that beat to continue changing at the very end.

But with that being said, the lyrics were also not that great in this one.

Very, you know, uplifting motivational song and I was just saying, you know, I do respect all people that put their art into the world out there.

But it don't mean I got to like it all.

But respect.

And I love that we're uplifting people.

Is this a song that I'm going to put on just to play?

No.

Will I put on Me and My and maybe Go?

Maybe.

You know, probably.

This one is probably not going to make it to the playlist.

But I appreciate them getting a little crazy with the.

Like what was that?

It's giving the my waist is shrinking.

And then we kind of went to the Blackpink cheer and stuff.

Anyway, cool.

Not my fave.

I could understand it.

I don't really know any of those rhymes.

I like that line.

It's okay.

It's not my favorite.

It's a little bit slower for my liking.

There's some good lyrics in there and there's some other lyrics in there that I'm not a fan of.

But overall, ending song of an album.

Can't hate on it too.

There were some very clever lyrics in there.

Like I said, and there's some that were a little cheesy, didn't really rhyme too much.

But I've learned to just, you know.

Artistic integrity, you do you, girls.

I don't have to say I love it if I don't really love it.

But I get the whole message that we have here, like, hey, wow, how the tables have turned.

Oh, how the turntables.

You know.

Now I'm the fuckboy.

You set your bar in hell.

I'm going to meet you down there.

You know.

And I love that.

All right, everybody, that was Blackpink Deadline.

Very short.

Like I knew it would be.

I'm going to need them to do a full album again.

I'm hearing rumors of disbandment and stuff.

And I'm not going to play into any of that.

But I really, really want them to do what they want to do.

They had a very, very solo successful careers and when they come together as Blackpink, they always have the signature sound that I do love hearing because it's kind of of my alley as like that EDM inspired heavy bass shaken ass music.

You know.

With a little bit of machinery in the background, that's for me, babe, that's for me, it is and I want to say congrats again to that, I hope that we do get more from you, Blackpink.

When it comes to these songs we've listened to today, I have to say that Go and Me and My are definitely my two favorites on this one.

Go, the music video definitely helped make it the top.

I'm wondering if since I didn't read the lyrics to Me and My, was it cheesier than I thought and I was just living for the moment.

We'll have to go back and read those lyrics there.

But other than that, Champion was a good song too, not really my my taste here and Fuckboys a little bit slower down too.

Not really my taste, I think Go and Me and My are going to make it to the playlist.
