This is the most legendary person in all of Hunter Hunter. Don Freecss is an explorer who entered the Dark Continent alone 300 years ago with the goal of traveling the entire shoreline of Lake Mobius. He documented his journey in a

book called Journey to the New World, which was supposed to have two editions, East and West. The East edition was initially shrugged off as fiction and something that only a madman could have written. But after later expeditions encountered phenomena matching Don's

accounts, the book became a legendary record of the Dark Continent, and the V5 now possesses a copy. The West edition, however, has never been discovered. Ging believes Don may have never finished it, it simply hasn't been found, or Don is

still traveling the western shoreline while writing it right along the journey. If that final possibility is true, Don has survived for over 300 years, possibly through Nitro Rice, or with the use of something more sinister like the Zobae disease and I. Whichever

method he resorted to stay practically immortal with all the tremendous threats present, there's no doubt that Don Freecss has to not only be ridiculously strong, but also be one with nature to survive. It's fascinating to me because Gon spent the entire story as a

hunter looking for Ging. Now, Ging may take up that mantle as his own hunt for Don begins. My speculation is that the Dark Continent will finally hand the spotlight over to Ging with Beyond Netero as his main antagonist and Don

Freecss as the end goal.
