Welcome back, guys. This is another disassembly video. Today, we have a Canon Pixma MG6320 printer that we're just going to take parts off, and we'll just go together and go through as much as we can. So at this point, what I've done is I had the printer on, I opened the front cover, let the carrier move to the middle so I can move it back and forth when I'm working in there. So at this point, we're going to start.

00:16

Speaker A

point what i've done is i had the printer on i open the front cover let the i let the carrier move to the middle so i can move it back and forth when i'm working in there so at this point we're

00:31

Speaker A

Since we already opened this and I'm showing you this, I'm just going to remove the ink cartridges and the print head. To do that, it's pretty simple. With the print head, like I showed in the other video, we're going to pull this forward, and we're going to tilt the print head forward to us and pull it out. This printer uses eight QY60083 is the part number on the print head. So from here, we're gonna remove the top cover. I'm gonna open it, and we're gonna push it up and pull it back like this here, and it's out.

00:47

Speaker A

going to pull this forward and we're going to tilt the printhead forward to us and pull it out this printer uses eight qy60083 is the part number on the print head so um from here we're gonna remove the top cover i'm

01:06

Speaker A

Let's remove the trays. So trays are pretty simple; they just pull out. They're not locked in there or anything. So this is the photo tray that includes the CD printing tray on the back. It just snaps out like this here, and you can use it for printing your photos, I mean printing an image on the CD that you may have burned. So this is the regular tray.

01:26

Speaker A

so this is the photo tray that includes the cd printing tray on the back it just snaps out like this here and you can use it for printing your photos i mean printing uh an image on the cd

01:38

Speaker A

Then in the back, we have the cover for the paper path or the jam access cover, and right behind it is a duplexer unit. We're going to remove that. And then let's flip the printer on its side, and we're going to remove the power supply. At this point, the power supply is on the same side as the main board. The main board is right here; it's going to be right behind this cover.

02:03

Speaker A

and then let's flip the printer on its side and we're going to remove the power supply at this point power supply is on the same side as the main board main board is right here it's going to be right behind this cover

02:22

Speaker A

So to remove the power supply, there's a clip right here that we need to pull back and one on this side that we're also going to pull back and just pull the power supply out. Very easy, no screwdriver required. And we're just going to disconnect it right here.

02:34

Speaker A

and we're just going to disconnect it right here so since we have the printer on in the position that is right now i'm going to remove the main pickup roller so there's two pickup rollers one is the the bigger assembly that's for

02:56

Speaker A

So since we have the printer on in the position that it is right now, I'm going to remove the main pickup roller. So there's two pickup rollers: one is the bigger assembly that's for the bigger tray, for the main tray, the lower one, and this roller is for the photo tray. So we're gonna remove this one for now. I removed this rail right here. We're gonna do the same thing on the bottom.

03:12

Speaker A

bottom [Music] and then this just on clips right here you can see the clip over here we're going to push it up in this case and one over here so um there's clip on both sides of this area here so we're

03:44

Speaker A

And then this just unclips right here. You can see the clip over here. We're going to push it up in this case and one over here. So there's a clip on both sides of this area here. So we're gonna push back both of them and kind of pull it up like this here. Don't push it too hard to avoid breaking it because if you break it, you won't be able to put it back in, put anyone in.

03:58

Speaker A

in most cases these can be just cleaned without replacing them so try doing that first before you pull it out um there's a spring right behind it don't lose that so oops i just lost it well let it fall

04:16

Speaker A

In most cases, these can be just cleaned without replacing them, so try doing that first before you pull it out. There's a spring right behind it. Don't lose that. So oops, I just lost it. Well, let it fall.

04:33

Speaker A

a few times so we're going to remove the size at this point there anywhere you see an arrow like this here that's where you need to just push a little bit and you can see like as soon as i pushed

04:46

Speaker A

So the spring goes in the back here and attaches here, so it lets it go down when you're trying to pick up paper. So these definitely go together. So as you've noticed so far, we haven't used the screwdriver much, just a few times. So we're going to remove the side at this point. Anywhere you see an arrow like this here, that's where you need to just push a little bit, and you can see like as soon as I pushed, it releases the cover. But they're going to be in a few spots, usually in the back and then some on the bottom here, here. There should be some over here too. So there's a clip right on this side.

05:20

Speaker A

and then over here it's usually not that hard i must be doing something wrong there we go and not a single screw holds it so just carefully remove it okay so we remove the side and this is where the

06:14

Speaker A

And then over here, it's usually not that hard. I must be doing something wrong. There we go. And not a single screw holds it, so just carefully remove it.

07:14

Speaker A

so to remove this scanner unit there's like tabs on the back of two of these hinges so we're gonna press it down and out same thing on this side and this is the tab that i was talking about these two right here

07:29

Speaker A

Okay, so we removed the side, and this is where the main board is, and this is the media card reader. I'm going to go to this side and do the same thing, hopefully less struggle, but right here and then two in the back. Okay, we've got the other side out.

07:47

Speaker A

just see if we can um i don't want to break this or remove it somehow so one of these wires i believe is this one that goes to the control panel and it's covered so it's glued on here so you just want

08:16

Speaker A

So to remove this scanner unit, there are tabs on the back of two of these hinges, so we're gonna press it down and out, same thing on this side. And this is the tab that I was talking about, these two right here.

08:58

Speaker A

so you remove the two screws here and then you just push this to the left there we go and that releases it to try to be careful i wasn't too careful and i broke some off but that shouldn't be a problem just make

09:20

Speaker A

So you're going to press it down, and that releases that, and then we can just unclamp it right there, same thing on this side. And then the wire is kind of connected all the way back here. If you pull it out, well, let's just see if we can. I don't want to break this or remove it somehow. So one of these wires, I believe, is this one that goes to the control panel, and it's covered, so it's glued on here, so you just want to be careful with it.

09:37

Speaker A

wires it's connected right here don't pull too hard because these are easy to damage so that one out this little one also go somewhere this is where we kind of got stuck with the uh wire so yeah i was just glued in there

10:27

Speaker A

Okay, let's remove the scanner unit so we can get a better picture of that. So the scanner unit has a couple screws. There's two right here on this side. I think that's pretty much it.

10:42

Speaker A

plate comes off and there's the control panel under it so i'll just disconnect this here this is the scanner lamp okay so from here even though we have access to the logic board i'll just show you how to get into

11:12

Speaker A

So you remove the two screws here, and then you just push this to the left. There we go, and that releases it. Try to be careful. I wasn't too careful, and I broke some off, but that shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you remove the tabs from here. This is where the scanner unit is, and you can just remove the whole thing with all the wires, or you can just disconnect it from here. I'm gonna try to remove it with the wires. It's connected right here. Don't pull too hard because these are easy to damage. So that one out. This little one also goes somewhere. This is where we kind of got stuck with the wire. So yeah, it was just glued in there. Like I said, be careful with it.

11:52

Speaker A

so to get to it you don't have to remove the scanner unit so when you or any of the trays basically it's just removing the sides and removing those like four tabs moving them out of the way and that gives you access to all of this

12:06

Speaker A

This is the control panel for the printer with the wire. If you get it disconnected right here, you just have to open it up. See if I can do it, but the faceplate comes off, and there's the control panel under it. So I'll just disconnect this here. This is the scanner lamp.

12:19

Speaker A

clean just a little bit of ink over there the drive motor for the carrier so this is the timing strip and i always say this when you put it back in make sure you feed it in the right place

12:37

Speaker A

Okay, so from here, even though we have access to the logic board, I'll just show you how to get into the printer. There's clips right here or the tabs, sorry. There's one here. Yeah, there's, I don't see there's some screws, but there's another tab right here and one over here that just if you lift it, it gives you access to everything here.

13:09

Speaker A

carrier uh if you're buying one of those make sure like sometimes people would buy this thinking that there's a printhead in there usually they're not sold together printhead is going to be um a lot of times more expensive than this

13:23

Speaker A

So to get to it, you don't have to remove the scanner unit or any of the trays. Basically, it's just removing the sides and removing those like four tabs, moving them out of the way, and that gives you access to all of this.

13:42

Speaker A

and the seller also so these wires are fed through the back here pull them out well smarter thing would be just to pull the magnet out for these things here and that'll [Music] then there's the core that's wound to

14:15

Speaker A

So sometimes you need to clean the timing strip, and it's impossible to do it just from here. So this is how you remove the top. This is the absorber pad box. Seems like this printer hasn't been used much because this box looks pretty clean, just a little bit of ink over there. The drive motor for the carrier.

14:38

Speaker A

avoid wasting ink on i mean wasting space on your desk so this is the carrier unit okay i'm gonna remove the main board i'll just remove the wires here and there's four screws i believe that hold the board

15:40

Speaker A

So this is the timing strip, and I always say this: when you put it back in, make sure you feed it in the right place.

16:48

Speaker A

printer i'll show you where they're at so it's actually one of those things that we should have removed at the beginning does not need all this in order to be removed so a tab also on this side so so you don't confuse the tabs on

17:11

Speaker A

The belt just comes off like so, and remove this rail. I believe that will give us access to the carrier or the carriage unit. Got that. Only just lift this here, and this is our carrier unit.

17:27

Speaker A

push in order to remove so it's very simple you just push that when you install and you make sure this one is broken so make sure it's um that you are putting this in the correct position so where it's

17:42

Speaker A

Carrier. If you're buying one of those, make sure, like sometimes people would buy this thinking that there's a printhead in there. Usually, they're not sold together. The printhead is going to be, a lot of times, more expensive than this piece if there is one online. So just be careful. Look at the pictures because sometimes you would buy something that is not there, and it clearly doesn't show it here. So that'll just save you a lot of time and the seller also.

17:58

Speaker A

it so make sure it's in the correct position when the tray is open this is supposed to be to the left and this the output tray is going to be open too so um once again one tab over here

18:12

Speaker A

So these wires are fed through the back here. Pull them out. Well, smarter thing would be just to pull the magnet out for these things here, and that'll...

18:34

Speaker A

by removing the two screws that hold it so when you're repairing a printer make sure you don't leave any parts inside or any screws that'll give you a problem of course so this is the motor disconnects replaces easily

18:57

Speaker A

Then there's the core that's wound to this piece here. We also need to remove it. It's a compact printer. That's why everything is just neatly put away like this, and that is just the challenge with the repairs on inkjet printers because they're so small. But then that's for your benefit to avoid wasting ink on, I mean, wasting space on your desk.

19:15

Speaker A

there so um i'm gonna try to remove it i'm not guaranteeing that i will usually a little bit tough so maybe just move a few things i got the screw out a few things out of the way yeah i don't think i want to mess with

19:56

Speaker A

So this is the carrier unit. Okay, I'm gonna remove the main board. I'll just remove the wires here, and there's four screws, I believe, that hold the board.

20:14

Speaker A

and that's as far as we'll go thank you guys for watching please subscribe to our channel like this video and share with your friends have a wonderful day thank you
