Speaker A

Today we're going to attempt to sell £7 million worth of hypercars to we buy any car and we get to see if they offer us anywhere near what [music] they're worth in today's market. But in this video, we're going to show you the dark side of

00:14

Speaker A

selling a car. Sadly, scammers are more active than ever. And we're going to hear from people who have been swindled out of tens of thousands of pounds and scarily forced into dangerous situations just selling their pride and joy. And

00:29

Speaker A

then we turned around and he driven off in the car and never came back.

00:34

Speaker A

So, is we buy [music] a car the safest option? Well, we're going to put that to the test today and see what prices they offer compared to the true market value.

00:44

Speaker A

We will be taking the newly revamped McLaren P1 and the recently transformed Bugatti Veyron as well as two other hypercars not seen on this channel before. But first, we need a price. what these cars are actually worth in the

00:59

Speaker A

market today so we can compare and please prepare yourself for the result. Right. You are up against stiff opposition.

01:07

Speaker A

Okay. Will you buy any car? Oh yeah. Okay. Yeah. My main competitor, [laughter] the ultimate hyperar dealer.

01:13

Speaker A

Will you buy any car? A Porsche. Let's do two prices. First of all, market value.

01:20

Speaker A

So retail market value. Mhm. What do you reckon for that? I think retail value of that car is 1.6.

01:26

Speaker A

6 million. What would you pay for that car right now? No messing about. There's your money. You take the gamble.

01:32

Speaker A

1.4. Next. Full retail on that car is 1.2. I would probably give between 9 and 950.

01:41

Speaker A

So next, my McLaren P1. Uh, it's done about the same amount of miles when I bought it off used.

01:46

Speaker A

Yeah. Well, used it. Um, I think retail on that car today 1.75 million. And what about to give me the cash in the bank right now when you drive it home? 1.5.

02:07

Speaker A

[laughter and snorts] Why would I shake that hand? Because it just earned you 300 grand.

02:14

Speaker A

That's right. It could have earned me 500. Yeah. Well, it could when I go to we buy a car later in this video.

02:19

Speaker A

Yeah. Usually how you get on with buy any [laughter] car. My Bugatti Veyron retail today.

02:25

Speaker A

Retail and your Bugatti Veyron today 2 million. Write a check right now. Take it home.

02:34

Speaker A

1.75. Really? Wow. Okay. Brilliant. Obviously, I'm not going to be ringing you because we buying a car are going to beat all them prices.

02:43

Speaker A

Oh, yeah. I'm sure they'll pay you straight away as well. We now have our prices for the four cars up for sale today. We need to see if my red plates are back on the system. Last time computer says no.

02:55

Speaker A

If I put my Revelto in RO8X, that doesn't come up. The SF90 doesn't come up. The Brabus doesn't come up.

03:02

Speaker A

Try Yanis. Yanis Revelto comes up. [laughter] You're so banned. They literally banned us. So, we had to use some influencer car registrations.

03:12

Speaker A

[music] We borrowed one from Yanni and Tommy. So, in case that happens again, I've recruited my friend as a stun double.

03:20

Speaker A

Okay, Mark's away at the moment. So, my name's Tommy and I'll be taking two of my cars to we buy any car to get evaluation.

03:26

Speaker A

I just want to say a big thank you to Tommy because I couldn't make it today as unfortunately my mom was rushed into hospital. But don't worry, she's on the mend. They're not normal cars. So, we have the McLaren Center here, my latest

03:38

Speaker A

purchase. This is an amazing car. And then we're also taking the 918 Spider, part of the Holy Trinity like Mark's um P1. So, we're gonna see if they they will value it or just tell me to kick rocks. We are taking two of Thomas cars

03:52

Speaker A

and two of mine, some of the best hypercars ever made. And we will see if they do buy any car. [music] Is that actually a true fact? And will they park with £7 million for the cars today? Because that is what the advert

04:07

Speaker A

says, mate. They literally buy any car. We buy any car is a very simple effective concept. If you don't know, basically you take your car to them.

04:17

Speaker A

They make you an offer and buy it there and then. Now, right that second, no matter what car, no matter what age, no matter what color, no matter what condition, they buy any car. But later, I will give you some tips to get the

04:32

Speaker A

maximum amount for your car. [music] Tips and secrets from ex We buy any car employees. ways to beat their hard ball system. So, let's take the first of the four hypercars.

04:44

Speaker A

[music] The McLaren Senna, named after arguably the best Formula 1 driver ever to live, Senna with a 4 L V8 twin turbo engine making 789 horsepower and it's fast naugh to 60 2.8 seconds [music] and a top speed of 208

05:05

Speaker A

mph. It is a fairly new car, especially to be raised [music] in value, but that's probably because only 500 were made with a base price of £850,000.

05:16

Speaker A

So, it was expensive. But now we know the car has definitely increased in price and Carl has offered £950,000.

05:24

Speaker A

[music] But can we buy any car get anywhere near that price? Undercover Tommy. Let's see if we can get a quotation live in the mix.

05:38

Speaker A

Are you coming to sell your car? Yeah. Are you joking? No. Bro, you're a [laughter] Where do you work here?

05:47

Speaker A

Yeah. How you doing? I'm good, bro. Yeah. I just wanted to get cuz you know I was thinking about Oh, let me get a quotation on it. See what it'll uh pull in. I'm thinking about sending a few of

05:55

Speaker A

my cars. So, I was going to bring a few of them today. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Can I just take a photo and put it in the chat thing?

06:00

Speaker A

Yeah, of course. [laughter] Oh, no. The dreaded group chat. This is what stopped our fun last time. It's a group chat with all the local area [music] employees. We are trying to fly under the radar to get a price from

06:14

Speaker A

these guys today. As last time it was our downfall, but there is nothing we can do now. So, let's hope that we get a price. You know, there's that dealership up the road. I was thinking about going to them, but

06:25

Speaker A

yeah. Well, I'm going to give you the best price. No. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I like to hear. He's [laughter] um only done 700 and something miles.

06:33

Speaker A

Pretty much like new. I was literally seeing you tell I was like, "No way. He's covered it." [laughter] Going to see me a few times today.

06:41

Speaker A

Grab the keys quickly. Yeah. Oh, you're going to bring a few here. Yeah. What you do for work?

06:46

Speaker A

What I do for work? Just buy cars. You buy cars? Yeah. But like it's like I'll buy [music] them then I'll keep them. Go up in value.

06:53

Speaker A

Am I not famous? No, not really. Not really. No, not really. Yeah. This is This is going to got to be a grade one. There's no There's It's perfect, isn't it?

07:02

Speaker A

There's got to be no stone chip. Not a single chip. It's got paint protection film on it as well.

07:08

Speaker A

Unable to value a vehicle because of no use prices on disposal valuation. Damn. So, what does that mean? It's too expensive.

07:16

Speaker A

No, it's not. We buy any car. But it's because obviously it's such a high purchase.

07:21

Speaker A

They they have to get like approved. Yeah. Now, that is a problem. This car is so rare that it's not on their algorithm computer. So, it's going to be upgraded and sent off to the high valuation team.

07:32

Speaker A

And being originally banned, this isn't going to help our covert operation. But the one hope is this is Tommy's car and not Mark from Reddic. So, fingers crossed.

07:43

Speaker A

I just wanted to have a little uh a little seat. Do you want to take it for a spin around the block test [music] drive?

07:50

Speaker A

I would love to. Do you want me to take a picture of you inside it?

07:52

Speaker A

No. No. I'm not. [laughter] How do you start this thing? It's on the roof.

07:56

Speaker A

It's on the roof. Yeah. So, you put your foot on the brake. Yeah. It's on the And then you just press this button here.

08:10

Speaker A

Well, I'm coming back. I'll come back another car. So, are they going to provide me with a quote later on or?

08:14

Speaker A

Yeah. So, what I'll do is I just need to take a few photos of the vehicle.

08:18

Speaker A

Okay. The other car is not as [music] crazy as this one. It's just like is that this is mad, you know, big wing and everything. The doors go up. The other one's very calm in [music] comparison.

08:32

Speaker A

Well, I must say I think that went rather well. He um essentially said um he can get me a price and he'll get me the best possible price. However, they need to send it to their like underwriting team. Um which don't know

08:43

Speaker A

why they have to send this there. He started like revving my car. Yeah, I saw that.

08:48

Speaker A

Is that not standard we buy any car procedure? I'm not sure if it is. Maybe he needed to check if there was any errors, but yeah, I I mean I think it went pretty well. I think that I was

08:57

Speaker A

expecting them to say get lost, but yeah, I told him the next car we're going to bring is kind of not as exciting. So, one car down and now it's time to up the stakes.

09:10

Speaker A

The Porsche 918, the predecessor to the crazy and very valuable Carrera GT. Now, this 918 is a plug-in hybrid and one of the epic holy trinity. Now, it's a 4.6 L naturally aspirated V8 with electric motors, but together it's a 887

09:29

Speaker A

horsepower monster machine and becoming very popular. Top speed 214 and a very fast naught to 60 of 2.4 seconds. Now, the production run was 2013 to 2015, the exact same as my P1, which we will get valued later. 918 Porsches were made

09:50

Speaker A

with a starting price of £771,000. However, this car has increased in value massively. Carl is saying that he will pay today £1.4 million. But will we buy any car agree?

10:06

Speaker A

[music] Oh, another sexy motor. Yeah, it's all right. It's just a little little run around.

10:19

Speaker A

Here. He said he said ring carly. Carly's far away from me. Hello again. Hello again.

10:28

Speaker A

Are you into cars? I am. Yeah. Oh, you're into car. So, you know what kind of car this is?

10:31

Speaker A

Yeah. How much do you think I bought it for? Over 100. 100k? Yeah. Way higher than that?

10:36

Speaker A

Yeah. Like 180. Keep going up. 250. Keep going up. 750. Keep going up. No, you're joking.

10:42

Speaker A

Keep going up. Over a mill. Yeah, this car is way over a million pounds.

10:47

Speaker A

You can go on a I'm not sure if you're allowed to go on auto trader or you can you can see called a Porsche 918 Spider.

10:54

Speaker A

Yeah, this is this is one of 918 in the world. Yeah, it is mental. Who do you Who do you even resell it?

11:05

Speaker A

That's your That's what you're you're the one that's supposed to be solving that for me.

11:08

Speaker A

Buy the car. Nothing. Nothing. Should I should I leave my details? Yeah. Yeah. I appreciate it. Thanks very much. Have a good day. Nice to meet you, too, man.

11:16

Speaker A

Yeah. Anyway, just message me if you need anything. Catch you later. So far so good. All details have been taken and now we are waiting for the high value team to give us a quote. Now obviously we buying a car are not going

11:28

Speaker A

to give a full retail price but using them does avoid all the scams. Last year we the public was scammed at 1.3 billion and I have also been a victim. In the past I've been scammed buying cars and

11:44

Speaker A

I've also had a few other close calls [music] but that was always when I was spending money but being scammed when you are selling the car [music] seems to be the new way to make money. So, I've been

11:54

Speaker A

checking out social media and there is lots of different scams from when people are just selling a car and there's all sorts of different variations of it as well. So, it's obviously way bigger than what we thought. I put an Instagram

12:07

Speaker A

story of asking for your similar experiences. Please drop our Instagram a follow if you ever want to get involved with [music] these videos. It's where we chat to get you guys involved to see what's going on and also give the

12:19

Speaker A

information to when our next videos are out. Some of the messages on our Instagram are literally horror stories.

12:26

Speaker A

It seems mad, but when you're selling the car, you can also be very vulnerable. First one I want to share with you is the PayPal scam and something I had no idea could even happen. And I'm sure most of you will

12:39

Speaker A

also be unaware of this. Steve got caught out and lost thousands selling his car. And he is here to help and make sure it doesn't happen to you or me. So, I bought the car last July off of a

12:53

Speaker A

family friend. I'll just do it up and then sell it on. Put it on Facebook Marketplace. Got message off this guy.

13:01

Speaker A

Fast forward. He came he came saw it. But this is where it gets a bit more interesting. So, he paid via PayPal.

13:07

Speaker A

So, friends and family PayPal or or just a PayPal payment. So, friends and family PayPal. And then fast forward about two weeks after that, I had a notification on my PayPal that the money had been taken back.

13:20

Speaker A

I thought friends and family PayPal was secure. I thought that was it. That was [music] an option to send money through PayPal and be safe that somebody's not going to rip you off.

13:30

Speaker A

Yes. So did I. They didn't ask him for any proof. They just basically reversed the money straight away.

13:35

Speaker A

Yeah. Just took it straight back. So basically, this is what I learned from PayPal by speaking of everybody is that if it doesn't have a tracking number, they always say the buyer's side.

13:43

Speaker A

Wow. So I literally just had a notification one day to say £2,000 has just been taken out on the PayPal and I had no say in it.

13:51

Speaker A

Wow, that [music] is crazy. I always thought that if you were sent PayPal money through friends and family, it couldn't be claimed back. There are more examples of scams to come, but for now it's my turn. A [music] road trip to We

14:04

Speaker A

Buy Any Car. Reddic in the corner of the Matalan car park. [music] Now the McLaren P1, the big brother to Tommy Senna. One of the epic holy trinity. A full-blown [music] hypercar.

14:23

Speaker A

7-speed auto rearw wheelel drive with a 3.8 L V8 twin turbo with electric motors. So it is a hybrid. 93 horsepower making a naught to [music] 60 of 2.6 seconds and a top speed limited to 217 mph. Pretty cool as this was 13 years

14:45

Speaker A

ago. price when new started at £890,000 and it's definitely increased in value and maybe because the lowest amount of cars made which we are seeing today only £375 cars made in the whole wide world.

15:02

Speaker A

Remember Carl said he would pay 1.5 million for this car. Right, we're about to set off to we buy a car but I have some knowledge from ex employees to tell us how we can maximize the quote that

15:14

Speaker A

you're going to get. And this is really worth doing. Basically, we buy any car price your car on a certain criteria.

15:21

Speaker A

They will reduce their offer price depending on what they need to do to make your car perfect. [music] So, I recommend you do whatever you can before seeing them to maximize their offer.

15:33

Speaker A

Now, first of all, really important, spare key. They chip you loads for your spare key. Again, you've probably got it, but you don't know where it is and you just think, can't be bothered.

15:42

Speaker A

Definitely make sure that you look for it. Reese did this for us. Now, he put his car through two [music] ways. One with one month's MOT and one with 12 months MO2. And we all [music] know an MOT usually costs about $3540.

15:55

Speaker A

The difference with a full MOT on Reese's car was £500. So, it's well worth the effort of a little time and the £40 spent. [music] Right. Wheel refurb. I didn't do this obviously. This was before my time, but it's worth

16:12

Speaker A

getting that done. They're going to charge you a load of money to do that themselves. [music] So, you may as well do it yourself and get it done cheaper.

16:18

Speaker A

Well worth the effort. Another one is windscreens. You'll have a chip on the windscreen. You'll think, "I can't be bothered." [music] But they will charge you to fit and replace that windscreen.

16:28

Speaker A

So, you may as well get a smart repair, which doesn't cost a lot of money, or even [music] maybe claim on insurance.

16:33

Speaker A

But get it done before you take that car down there. [music] Wraps. They don't like wraps. And that's simply because they don't know what's underneath it. So if your car is wrapped, take it off and then when you see what's underneath, try

16:45

Speaker A

your [music] best to touch up all the little bits because again, they grade your car on what they [music] see. So here's a little tip. If your car is really bad, [music] take it dirty and when it's dark or if your car is

16:58

Speaker A

perfection, clean it up and take it on a lovely summer's day. Get that grade better. And you can do that with just a little bit of effort. Right. paperwork.

17:07

Speaker A

You've probably got some hidden away and it's probably a pain in the ass to find it, [music] but every bit of documentation, every service, every emote, all that proof adds up to money.

17:19

Speaker A

So, make the effort, put it in and find whatever you can, even contact the dealerships and get proof of that invoice which you paid for or Photoshop or Photoshop. Now, next one, spare wheels. They will charge you if you

17:32

Speaker A

don't have a spare wheel. But this can replace your spare wheel and that's a tenner and that's a [music] really good tip. If it's missing, get one of them and that will save you hundreds of pounds. Lock in wheel nuts and [music]

17:45

Speaker A

manuals. Find them out. You know they're there somewhere, but you can't be bothered to look. But [music] it could make you hundreds of pounds extra on that valuation. Right? See that? Okay.

17:57

Speaker A

So, that needs all it needs is some PSI. just needs a bit of air, but they have to allow for that to be a puncher. So, they are going to chip you a load of money. So, don't be lazy. Go to the

18:09

Speaker A

garage on the way, spend 50 p in the compressor and get as many lights off the dash. Also, engine management light, think their side of the box. That could cost them fortune to get that light repaired. It could be anything wrong

18:23

Speaker A

with it. So, try and get it off yourself. might cost you 50 quid, but it's worth hundreds of pounds extra on your valuation. Right? I have all this stuff together to take the first car for me, the P1. Listen, put the effort in. I

18:39

Speaker A

know it's a pain in the ass, and I know you don't know where this stuff is, but every bit you find [music] could be 50 or£100 worth of difference. So, literally, don't be lazy. Stop watching YouTube. Actually, no, don't do that.

18:51

Speaker A

Make sure you subscribe. Just get off your ass and go find this stuff cuz it could save you hundreds of pounds.

18:57

Speaker A

Right, my first car today, the epic hypercar McLaren P1. Let's find out once and for all if I am banned and hopefully I don't get recognized.

19:10

Speaker A

Yes, Mark. How are you? Not bad you. I'm very well, thank you. Right, we've come for a price.

19:16

Speaker A

That's fine. I guess you know we are. I think so. I think so. How are you those?

19:22

Speaker A

Not bad. Yeah. And nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Thank you. No problem.

19:25

Speaker A

Appreciate it. What's your name? Nathan. Nathan. Um, yeah, just after a price, please. Fine. Um, I mean, I can get your price now. I can get them grab the laptop and run through it.

19:34

Speaker A

Oh, sweet. Thank you. I'm going to have to go around take photos of the car.

19:37

Speaker A

Yeah, perfect. I actually put the reg in. It doesn't recognize that sort of value for the vehicle.

19:42

Speaker A

Okay. I think I might be banned anyway. I mean, I don't know why they ban you.

19:49

Speaker A

Is it because of all the other cars you tried to take? Yeah. Do you know what? I'll be honest. You know, when I first when I seen the video, I weren't too sure about the wrap. Do you know what? I'll be honest.

19:57

Speaker A

I didn't like the exhaust on the video. That looks so sick like that. Yeah. I think it needed like another I I agree. Like a like a surround.

20:05

Speaker A

A surround. But it's only the tips. Just Just the tip. [laughter] Uh I'm not going to get in cuz I've got dirty shoes and I don't want Is there any chance you could just start it? Just take a dash.

20:18

Speaker A

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's actually just been serviced. Okay. Um, obviously the wrap's new as you've seen. Um, how do we do it?

20:30

Speaker A

I'll just give that to you, Mark. And then the miles are showing on the dash anywhere.

20:34

Speaker A

Yeah. To the trip. Just take a photo of the dash. That'll do. Brilliant. Thank you.

20:39

Speaker A

I've never actually seen one in person. I've seen a Norman out in a laugh, but not a B once. This is like the poverty version of the three. But [laughter] I don't know about that. I don't know about that.

20:50

Speaker A

This is crazy. I can't load it can grow. If you've got any service, you just order it to that email. Did Ricky do it?

20:56

Speaker A

Yes. Yeah. So that's I mean as long as it's an invoice service. So as long as it's got the bread of the car and the mileage and a date, they will accept that.

21:03

Speaker A

Accept that. Perfect. I can I can email that to them and their V5 and then when Neil comes back with the price.

21:09

Speaker A

Brilliant. Okay, Mark. You're a legend. You are a legend. Cheers. Cheers. Thanks. Cheers, Nathan. Thanks ever so much. What a top boat.

21:18

Speaker A

This is what your mom does. Nathan seems keen. He's forwarded all the info to the high valuation team and hopefully we will go under the radar and get that all important buy it now price. That was until Nate uploaded a video on his Tik

21:34

Speaker A

Tok. This is the complete power of of just social media really. Like I didn't ever think working at Weiway any car I'd get to meet Mark Macan.

21:44

Speaker A

Fingers crossed no one at a head office has Tik Tok. Hopefully this hasn't killed it for us. But before we take the let me tell you about another couple of scams the fraudsters use when you are selling your car. First topping up the

22:00

Speaker A

oil in places there shouldn't be oil. I've got a 2015 XC90 for sale. So someone called, we uh agreed the time and date to meet. They came over. There was two of them. And one of uh one of

22:14

Speaker A

the guys was uh talking to me permanently, asking me some silliest question ever, like pointing the earth connections at in the boot just to get my attention focused on something else.

22:25

Speaker A

One of the guys, can we check the coolant? Yeah, sure. We can check the coolant. So the the other guy who was talking to me constantly uh sticks the finger in there and takes it out completely black. Yeah, I was

22:35

Speaker A

like, "Okay." And then they start negotiating the prices and um first thing I do, check my cameras, CCTV footage. And yeah, as I sent you the video, um yeah, one of them literally took something out of the pocket while I

22:49

Speaker A

was at the back of the vehicle talking to the other guy and uh added that small amount of engine oil to the cooling system. So um basically that was it.

22:59

Speaker A

I've even texted them afterwards. I was like, "Come on, guys. That's that's not how you do business, you know. You shouldn't shouldn't be doing it." And they they said, "No, he was only checking something." It's like, "Okay, whatever. I'm not going to argue with

23:11

Speaker A

them. I'm not going to like go to the police. Police probably wouldn't do anything with it." So, another trick is to drop some oil down the [music] exhaust. So, when your car gets hot, it bellows out smoke. Another is unplugging

23:23

Speaker A

wires from in the engine bay. So, your car will instantly have a warning light on the dash. and then they have a reason to argue a discount. But there is another scam and this one can be serious money. When a person is checking the car

23:38

Speaker A

we are selling, we have all handed over the keys to the potential buyer. We've stepped back and we've given them some space to browse the car.

23:47

Speaker A

I've been trying to sell my car for a few weeks now and cuz I wasn't having any luck with it. So I messaged a guy that was open to swaps uh in London for a BMW X5. I had a I've got an E46 3

23:59

Speaker A

series. And he was like, "Uh, yeah, no, that'd be fine. Uh, come up whenever you're ready." So, I did. He looked around the car, like we gave him the keys and that. He gave us the keys, got in the X5, started the engine up. We

24:14

Speaker A

were looking around the engine and then we turned around and he driven off in the car and uh never came back.

24:21

Speaker A

Just nicked it. Yep. And what about the X5 he's left behind? tried to tax the car. The document wasn't valid. Uh we drove it down to Tesco's and the gearbox went on it.

24:35

Speaker A

Wow. We all know there's a risk of getting scammed when buying a car. It may be a good one, maybe crash damage repaired [music] maybe even a clone, but never did I imagine selling a car can be this dodgy.

24:48

Speaker A

And a bit of googling, we have found some horrifying stories, [music] lifechanging incidents, all from just trying to flog your old car. This is a tough one as [music] you literally inviting a complete stranger to your house. There is one more scam which I

25:05

Speaker A

need to tell [music] you about. That is a vehicle history checker, but we'll get on to that a little bit later as now it's time for the fourth hypercar.

25:16

Speaker A

[music] The last car that we are getting valued by we buy a car today, the absolute epic spaghetti viron. And my car has been on some journey. And thanks to everyone of you lot for coming along. We have some

25:29

Speaker A

really cool videos still to come up, including a visit and tour of the car with Mate Rimac himself, which I am super excited for. So, please make sure that you hit the subscribe button to [music] not miss that. And it is

25:44

Speaker A

completely free. Now, this car is labeled as the original hypercar, and it's fitted with a whopping 8 L quad turbo, which I can only explain is similar to a fighter jet. It's 1,1 horsepower, naugh to 60, 2.5 seconds,

26:02

Speaker A

but with a top speed of 250 mph. Now, only 450 were made worldwide between 2005 and 2011. It's also the highest new price of today's cars with a showroom price tag of about £1 million. And Carl said he would give me a bank transfer

26:23

Speaker A

today of 1.75 million. But will we bony car offer more or less? They should definitely give me a price on this car as recently they commented on an Instagram reel which I made about the new Bugatti Desrier.

26:41

Speaker A

Dustria dustria desri saying they were keen to take my car into stock. Right, Bugatti Veyron on our way to we buy a car. But let me tell you about the last type of scam. This is bogus car history checkers to [music]

26:57

Speaker A

find out more about this scam. I jumped on a call with Perry. I was selling my car to move out to Australia. One lad was very interested wanted to come view the car and he'd said, "Have I done a check?" which I

27:10

Speaker A

haven't done one. And he said, "Oh, [music] can you use this link? I've been done over by a few in the past with wrong [music] information." He paid like £6 for it. Got the check back. Gave it to him and he's like, "Yeah, brilliant."

27:24

Speaker A

In this week, I I've been busy trying to ship my life out here. I've not checked my bank account. Sat down on a Friday evening and it's come up of £40. It's been taken. It was twice a day. Took

27:38

Speaker A

about £300. it all up. I personally have seen this scam before. I was selling an MX5 and a guy [music] seemed genuinely interested. He dragged it out for a few days and I thought we were as good as over the line.

27:52

Speaker A

Rearranged the time and date, but then at the last minute, he said he needed [music] a specific history check, but he was insistent on me pressing a link and adding card details to some random checker I hadn't heard of. It did

28:05

Speaker A

actually look legit and I'm sure thousands of you have fell for it. But I smell a rat as no one gets one over Mark. This nearly had 25,000 proper scam.

28:17

Speaker A

This Lamborghini has been stolen from me. So if someone does ask for a car history check, use the trusted and safe option of car vertical. This [music] is far from credit card fraud. In fact, it's quite the opposite as a printed off

28:31

Speaker A

detailed check can definitely be a great addition to the paperwork [music] when selling your car. You can prove your car hasn't been in a crash. It's finance clear. It's legit mileage and [music] it's never been stolen. So, Car Vertical

28:44

Speaker A

works for buying and selling cars. Now, here is an example of a bad report. And you can see it's been in a crash. And also, if you scroll down, you can see the photos of when it was auctioned

28:54

Speaker A

[music] off at a car crash auction website. As you can see, it was a bad one. So, this car you probably want to keep away. Now, if you want to do a check on your car, a friend's car, or a

29:03

Speaker A

car you're looking to buy, you can use my discount code mark at checkout to save yourself some money on that search.

29:10

Speaker A

Link is in the description. And thank you, Carver Vertical, for sponsoring this video. [sighs] Here we go again, my guy. Good afternoon.

29:28

Speaker A

Can you give us a price? Are you for real? Yeah. Yeah. High value team.

29:34

Speaker A

Oh, yeah. Superb. Yeah, that's right. Feel like I'm being played. I think you get one of these.

29:40

Speaker A

It's only a VW. Yeah. Well, I mean [panting] an expensive VW. Are you looking to sell today?

29:47

Speaker A

Um, you got to take the plate. No, I think Yeah, exactly. I think it's one then where it's a bit too deep to just Yeah.

29:52

Speaker A

to to sell it today. And I'd imagine if they want to come and see it, they Yeah. Well, how it would work is I literally could buy it today like genuinely and we can do plate retention as well for you cuz the value on it.

30:04

Speaker A

Um it would get collected, it' go to BCA who would then do a secondary inspection there and then they'd finalize everything and if they're happy with everything at that point they'll just pay you.

30:14

Speaker A

Okay. If there's something that comes up then they'll contact you and if it changes value then you can obviously they'll drop it back to you if at that point you don't it's not right. But let me call my

30:23

Speaker A

boss. Cool. Thank you. Yeah. So often you get these just rock up as expected. It needs a special code. So what I'm going to do, take photos of it.

30:31

Speaker A

Yeah. Take your contact details and then if you can email me at some point a picture of the V5, the inside and out.

30:38

Speaker A

Yeah. Yeah. I'll email it all to our high value team because we've never bought one.

30:42

Speaker A

Never. The honest answer is they probably don't know what Okay. To value it at. They'll do the rounds, do what they need to do. They'll come back to me with a quote. I'll call you up and let you know what it'll be.

30:51

Speaker A

Amazing. Take it's gonna have full service history. Has it had have one yet? No, it's it's actually just been serviced, but but like it's 20 odd years old. So, is it actually?

31:02

Speaker A

Yeah. Yeah. Really though? Yeah. Part service history then. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely part of service history. Yeah.

31:09

Speaker A

Part. What are you hoping for for it? Do you know? Um just I mean I have no control over this one.

31:14

Speaker A

Yeah. That it's worth about 1.7. I thought you were going to say something like that. Yeah.

31:21

Speaker A

Yeah. Okay. That' be the most expensive car they've ever bought. Really? Yeah. World record.

31:26

Speaker A

The most at the moment is a McLaren. I like the idea of the world record.

31:29

Speaker A

That'd be cool. Open. Yeah. I bet the chrome's a nightmare. Yeah. The one with the paint was more expensive. So, there's nothing I grade one nothing on it. Yeah.

31:40

Speaker A

No, that's a trouble. We spent a lot of money on it. Sort of like getting it getting it fixed. It's had a new clutch.

31:45

Speaker A

I don't suppose that makes any difference to you? But I could tell the high value team though, couldn't I?

31:49

Speaker A

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They'll they'll go through all that. And to be honest with you, it wouldn't surprise me if the do the business owner ends up just buys it for himself.

31:57

Speaker A

That genuinely like he's got a mad collection of car. Yeah. Yeah. Crazy collection. Loves it. Like Ferraris and S. Big Ferrari fan.

32:05

Speaker A

See you in a bit. Yeah. No. Let's all wave. Should we wave to Reese everyone?

32:12

Speaker A

How's your mom? I'm going to go see her right now. He thinks I'm joking. I'm going to send him a picture to prove it.

32:19

Speaker A

How'd it go? Josh is a lovely man. Um, and one thing is for certain, he doesn't watch the channel, which is a positive. But hopefully later today we'll get a price off them. But I think we all know more

32:32

Speaker A

than likely it's going to be mark your knob. You've already been banned. Stop going around our place. We're not giving you a price. But we will see. We might be surprised. All of the cars have been taken to [music] get valued. And now

32:44

Speaker A

it's just a waiting game to see what prices the high valuation [music] team offer.

32:48

Speaker A

You might be wondering what about those scam examples we heard earlier. Did anyone get a happy ending?

32:55

Speaker A

Best part about it is I had no money at my PayPal. So basically left [music] me in the red. So I technically owed PayPal £2,000. Then they [music] added dispute fees on top of that. And then on top of

33:05

Speaker A

that I had debt collected people chasing me because I owed PayPal money because of the car. But it was a near year-long process for £2,000 basically.

33:16

Speaker A

Did you get any money back? Not the full amount. I think I got 20% of it back.

33:22

Speaker A

Yeah. Having to go to the fraud team for the bank that I was with, but they said, "You've you've been done over there.

33:31

Speaker A

I've given them my details. I put all of them in." And uh yeah, we called the police. We we did a a lost car, you know, stolen car, sorry. Um, they've logged [music] it.

33:41

Speaker A

Uh, they took the X5 from us cuz it wasn't in his name. We couldn't put it in our name. Um, so you're now left with nothing.

33:49

Speaker A

Nothing. Yeah, that was last night. No. Yeah. That's unbelievable. Yeah. Sorry to hear that. Nightmare.

34:07

Speaker A

That's a nightmare. Since then, Toby's story sadly has got a lot worse. Without having transport, [music] he has lost his job. And that is a terrible consequential damage from when you're trying to just sell a car. And this is

34:21

Speaker A

why we made this video. [music] Sure, it's fun to take a few cars to Wee Bunny Car, but there is a much bigger message here. Yes, they lowball you, but that's because the car goes to auction, [music] then to a dealer, and then it's resold

34:34

Speaker A

to the public. It's a chain where everyone needs to make just a little bit of profit. But these days, is this the one and only way left to safely sell your car? Cars are usually the second biggest purchase [music] in your

34:46

Speaker A

lifetime. But with the prices of houses now, it might well be your biggest. So, I want to make sure that you guys are safe and not getting scammed. Anyway, let's lift it back up and find out what we car are offering. Right. Hopefully,

35:01

Speaker A

we buy a car have some prices for us. [music] After days of waiting, going to shows, emailing various teams, and more chasing phone calls, I'm still waiting for the high value team to to look through it, Mark. Um,

35:19

Speaker A

we didn't get a price until we had a very exciting email. Right, we have a reply. Now, this is going to be the amount that they will give us for all four hypercars from their specialist valuation team. And that will be a

35:33

Speaker A

number, a figure which they will pay us into our bank today. Right, I have the details from we buying a car. Now remember earlier in this video car valued the four cars at 5.6 million.

35:45

Speaker A

That was to come here, take them away and put that money straight into our [music] bank. Right, ready?

35:52

Speaker A

This is from an [music] insider. The vehicles are too specialist and we wouldn't be near his valuation [music] on these cars. He is best going back to where he bought them from. Brilliant.

36:06

Speaker A

This is Wee Bony Car. It's called We Buy Car. And surely they could make some money out of these cars, which makes no sense unless it is personal and literally I am banned from We Buy Car.

36:18

Speaker A

If you've been scammed or you have any stories, please let me know in the comments or drop me a message on Instagram.

36:24

Speaker A

We buy a car. You need to change your name to We Buy Some Cars. Thank you for watching. See you next Tuesday, 6
