# How to get a refund for a purchase

**In short** The App Store or Google Play takes the payment, so the refund is requested from them: we cannot issue it ourselves. Send the request to the store you paid in. The store decides whether to refund.

## Where to send the request

### iPhone and iPad

1. Open [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com/) and sign in with the Apple ID you paid with.
2. Find the SozAI purchase and choose to request a refund.

### Android

1. Open your order history in Google Play, signed in to the Google account you paid with.
2. Choose the SozAI purchase and tap “Request a refund”.

## If the subscription keeps charging

A refund and a cancellation are different things. To stop the subscription from renewing, cancel it: [how to cancel my subscription](https://sozai.app/help/billing/cancel-subscription/).

## If the purchase is not listed

You may have paid with another Apple ID or Google account. Check the history in each of them.

## If you cannot find the purchase

[Write to us](https://sozai.app/help/contact/) and attach the receipt from the Apple or Google email.
