# How many free minutes do I get

**In short** 30 minutes of transcription, once, after you sign up. They do not renew each month. Summaries, flashcards and quizzes do not use minutes. When the minutes run out, new transcriptions need Premium.

## Where to see what is left

### iPhone and iPad

1. Open the Profile tab.
2. The Free plan card shows how many minutes are used, for example “12 of 30 min”.

### Android

1. Open the Profile tab.
2. The Free plan card shows how many minutes are used, for example “12 of 30 min”.

### Web

1. Open the Account section.
2. The Transcription minutes block shows how many minutes are left.

## What uses minutes

Only transcription uses minutes, and only after it finishes successfully: [when minutes are charged](https://sozai.app/help/billing/minutes-charged/). Chat about a recording and flashcards do not use minutes, and notes, flashcards and quizzes are free on any plan.

## If you sign in with an emailed code

The minutes are added once you enter your first correct code.
