# I used the app without signing in

**In short** Without signing in, the app runs in a guest account. Sign in and your recordings stay with you: if the email is free, the guest account becomes a regular one; if it is already taken, the recordings and any Premium you bought move into that account.

## How to sign in and keep your recordings

### iPhone and iPad

1. Open Profile → Account → Sign in or create an account.
2. Choose a method: Continue with Apple, Continue with Google or email and code.
3. When sign-in finishes, the top of the Profile tab shows your email instead of Guest account.

### Android

1. Open Profile → Account → Sign in or create an account.
2. Choose a method: Continue with Google or email and code.
3. When sign-in finishes, the top of the Profile tab shows your email instead of Guest account.

### Web

1. The web version has no guests, so sign in in the app first, as described above.
2. Then sign in on the web the same way: your recordings and Premium will be there too.

## If an account with that email already exists

The app switches to it, and the guest's recordings, folders, notes, flashcards and quizzes move into that account. Premium bought as a guest moves too, if your app is version 1.5.7 or newer. ## If you do not sign in

A guest account is tied to the device. To have your recordings on another device and on the web, sign in. You can delete a guest account with the Delete guest account and recordings row in the Account section.
