# Can I change my account email

 Updated 6 October 2026 · 1 min read

**In short** No: you cannot change the email of an account, in the app or on the web. An account is defined by how you sign in and the address. To use a different email, sign in with it: a new account opens, without your old recordings.

## What you can do

- If you need a new email, sign in with it. It will be a new account, and recordings from the old one do not move over. Save what you need first, see [how to download my recordings](https://sozai.app/help/privacy/download-my-data/).
- If you have Premium, tap Profile → Subscription → Restore Purchases in the new account. The subscription belongs to your App Store or Google Play account, not to your SozAI email.
- If you lost access to the old mailbox, [write to us](https://sozai.app/help/contact/) and describe the situation.

## If you signed in with Apple or Google

Then your account is linked to your Apple or Google account. For Apple's hidden email, see [an email ending in …@privaterelay.appleid.com](https://sozai.app/help/account/apple-private-relay/).
